It’s Loki! How can anyone not love a graphic novel dedicated to the exploits of Loki. And this on by George o’Connor, like his Greek mythology volumes, does great service to the subject, the Norse God if Mischief, who gets far too little attention when it’s not his Marvel version. Beautiful graphics and clever storytelling as always with lots of interesting facts and exploits.

This was such a good story! It's nice to see a version of Loki that isn't Marvel/Disney and that still feels true to the character. Nice art style.

Thanks to Net Galley for this ARC. I've read all of O'Connor's Olympians series (if you haven't, you ought to!), so I was excited to see how he has treated the Asguardians.

Overall, I really enjoyed the book. I love Norse mythology, but I don't know as much about it as I do Greek, so I relished the chance to get to know more stories of my people! The artwork is, as always, stunning, and my absolute favorite thing about O'Connor's books is that he includes copious end notes about his process, the story, the characters, and other tiny details that nerds like me appreciate. These books would be fantastic for teaching with because they are both entertaining and educational.

My only gripe with this one is that it felt a bit disjointed. The book seemed to be a collection of stories that didn't all flow smoothly from one to the next, but he did use "interludes" to weave parts together. It was mildly successful for me, but it still felt more like a collection of stories than an overarching narrative. Perhaps that was the point, but it isn't what I prefer. That being said, I still REALLY enjoyed it, and will definitely go back and read the other Asguardian books. I'm definitely putting them on my first order for my school library next year!

Another amazing installment to the Asgardians series. Every graphic novel I read from this author I can't help but devour in one sitting. The art is phenomenal and the most notable tales of the trickster Loki is spun into humorous and fun stories for all ages. The author clearly has a deep love for these myths and ensures that they are told in a way that honors the original while still adding his own spin. Very entertaining!

This is my favorite of the Asgardians series so far. It really looks at the subtleties and contradictions in Loki's character -- and shows how the gods of Asgard are, by and large, kind'a jerks! The Fenrir sequence makes my heart break for that poor pup. (And the choice to have the Asgardians deal with Loki's children as they did totally out of fear, rather than because of -- or with the excuse of-- a prophecy, is an interesting one.) Looking forward to the next volume!
