this book is a heartwarming and delightful story about love, family, and second chances. Meli Hynes, a dedicated furniture artisan, has long put her passion for woodcraft ahead of everything else—including love—until fate and a business deal force her to marry her ex-husband, Aaron, once again. What starts as a convenient ruse quickly sparks real emotions, proving that sometimes the most unexpected love stories are the ones that last. A charming, feel-good tale about rediscovery and the magic of taking chances on love.

Absolutely loved this new book by Kerry Lonsdale. This unique storyline brought together by an underlying theme of true love was captivating.

Meli and Aaron are absolutely adorable together and I enjoyed their devotion to each other even though there were times that Meli was oblivious to Aaron’s true feelings (or even her own). It was interesting that the back story of both characters stemmed from dysfunctional family histories, but led to their ultimate list for the perfect partner.

A truly enjoyable story about family, love, and second chances.

Falling for You Again by Kerry Lonsdale is available July 8, 2025. Check it out!

Kerry Lonsdale’s Falling for You Again is the kind of second-chance romance that completely captures your heart. From the first page, I was hooked by Meli’s passion for her craft and the unexpected reunion with her ex-husband, Aaron. Their marriage of convenience sets the stage for a tender, funny, and deeply emotional journey. Lonsdale writes with so much warmth and authenticity that every scene feels alive, and I found myself smiling, tearing up, and cheering for them throughout the story.

What I loved most was how real the characters felt — flawed, hopeful, and easy to root for. The romance is swoon-worthy, but the themes of family, forgiveness, and following your dreams made it even richer. As someone who loves books that linger long after the last page, Falling for You Again was a true gem. I can’t wait to see what Kerry Lonsdale writes next!

A relationship that starts with the ultimate meet cute, full of banter, second chance romance and a male lead that is swoon worthy? Yes, please! The way that Aaron obviously felt for Meli was so beautiful. The family drama on both sides was compelling and you felt so much for what the characters were going through. I thoroughly enjoyed this story!

I hate marriages of convenience unless it is to avoid a murder. I love Second Chance Romance. This book had both and the book was quick, fun, and exciting. It was just one of those smiles after you read it types of books. So if you want something quick, fun, and refreshing try this one out.

This is a brilliantly woven and complicated romance about a couple who have a unique meet cute, on an airplane as Meli is running away from her bridegroom and needs help from Aaron to be comfortable on the plane. The two of them head to Vegas where they decide to get married and then the real fun begins. This unconventional wedding is amusing but also awe-inspiring as the two of them end up married, divorced and married again in what can only be described as captivating. I was totally pulled into their story and all of the ways that they continued to make poor choices yet they kept plugging away in their own independent ways. I loved the relatable and believable characters, especially Meli who had issues with self-worth and just did not think anyone could truly love and commit to her. Of course, Aaron was lovable, too, because he was also from a dysfunctional family and was still trying to pick up the pieces from his past while creating a future for himself. The plot and the way the characters interact is nothing short of brilliant and unforgettable. The action was well balanced with the romance and this was a refreshing and unique portrayal of a couple trying to make it together as they also try to find their own place in the big world of furniture design. This novel was a slam dunk winner for me, a delightful read that kept my emotions on a roller coaster with the dynamics between the characters and the obstacles that they have to overcome to try to find their own happily ever after.

I don’t normally give bad ratings to books, but there were a lot of things that made me not like this book, and I want to expand on some of them:

1 - The main characters in this book are divorced when you first meet them, but how they got married is the one thing that makes absolutely no sense. On a whim, these two people who were seated beside each other on a plane for a couple of hours, dared one another to get married in Vegas for no reason at all, before they were even drunk to do something so stupid.

2 - Meli, our female main character, is one of the most unlikable characters I’ve ever read about. Everything in the world revolves around her, she only stands for her own interests, she only seeks people out of her own needs and wants. And that includes the way she conducts her relationship with poor Aaron.

3 - There are a lot of time jumps that happen in the middle of a chapter, in a way that makes the writing feel choppy. Often times I didn’t even realize it was flashback until the dialogue made it clear.

4 - If there’s one thing that defines the beginning, middle and end of this story, it is the miscommunication trope. Everything that happened in this books was brought by the lack of communication between the characters, and their lack of maturity as well.

Meli is a furniture artisan working with her uncle and parents at a workshop her uncle owns. She finds out her Uncle Bear is selling the shop to a competitor and has also arranged for her to work there too. She is angry and is trying to get the sale cancelled so she can put in an offer to her uncle. She goes to a fund raising gala organised by the competitor. There she finds Aaron who works for the competitor. Aaron is her ex husband who she married on a dare in Las Vegas. The marriage lasted one week, by mutual agreement , but there was no doubt that there was chemistry and caring between them. But Meli is convinced that she can’t work at her art and be in a relationship. Heartwarming story of love and family relationships.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advance copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I just finished an Advance Reader's Copy of Kerry Lonsdale's upcoming release, and I loved it!

Falling For You Again is a "second chances" romance that captured my interest and had me loving the main character of Meli in the prologue. Meli had just the right balance of a sweet, trusting soul with an underlying strength which is revealed as the story unfolds.

Reconnecting with Aaron, who she shares a secret past with, is something Meli never intended to do. But when a wrench is thrown into the life-long plans she's had for the business she loves, she finds it necessary to reach out to him. They come up with a plan to benefit them both and quickly put it into motion. They both find it's not as easy as they thought it would be to keep feelings from igniting. As obstacles to their relationship suddenly come into play and misunderstandings complicate things, the future they begin to envision is threatened. Can they overcome the roadblocks their dysfunctional families have built, or will love be enough?

Falling For You Again is an enjoyable read with a couple who are easy to root for.

Kerry Lonsdale is masterful at creating authentic characters and plot lines that readers are invested in right from the start of her novels. Falling For You Again is no exception. Meli and Aaron first met on a flight to Vegas as she fled her own wedding. The chemistry is instant and they find themselves embarking on a romantic adventure - and on a break from their real lives. Despite the connection, they go their separate ways after the week is up and - despite working in a similar industry - manage to stay apart. Then, when Meli finds out her uncle is selling the family business she was supposed to inherit, she needs Aaron’s help. What follows is a thoughtful, funny, honest look at relationships, how our histories shape us, the weight of family expectations, overcoming loss, and ultimately love. With a wide range of supporting characters and protagonists you can’t help but root for, Falling For You Again is a must read!

You can truly never go wrong with a book by Kerry Lonsdale! Falling for You Again is her latest masterpiece and I'm so excited for everyone to get their hands on it. Runaway bride meets future ex-husband! Meli and Aaron's story had me on the edge of my seat wondering what would happen next. As in good ole Kerry fashion, this book had me guessing to the very end. If you love a romance story about redemption, forgiveness, and acceptance, this is the book for you! What happens in Vegas doesn't always stay in Vegas! This story shows that you really CAN have it all!!

Kerry Lonsdale delivers another engaging romance with Falling for You Again—a playful yet heartfelt story about love, legacy, and second chances. Meli, a fiercely independent woodworker with a family shop to protect, finds herself teaming up (again) with Aaron, her charming, practical old flame—and former accidental husband—for a marriage of convenience that’s anything but simple. I love, love, loved them as a couple! And you will too ;)

The setup is classic rom-com, but Lonsdale adds emotional depth through layered family dynamics, personal ambition, and a chemistry-laden relationship that feels both fun and sincere. Meli’s drive and stubbornness are balanced by Aaron’s loyalty and quiet intensity, and their banter makes for a fast-paced, satisfying read. While some plot beats are predictable, the character growth and romantic tension make the journey worth it.

With witty dialogue, steamy moments, and just the right amount of drama, Falling for You Again is a warm, modern take on the fake-marriage trope—perfect for fans of heartfelt love stories with strong heroines and irresistible, slow-burn chemistry.

Meli is a brilliant woodworker. She can't wait to take over the family business and take it to the next level. The rug is pulled out from beneath her when her uncle reveals he is selling the whole company; Meli doesn't even get to try and buy it. How could her uncle not tell her any of this? And then Aaron enters the picture. He "ex-husband" works for a competing company who wants to buy Meli's woodworking company. Aaron has a whole different idea on how to help save Meli. If they remarried, Aaron's family couldn't purchase Meli's company; it would be a conflict of interest. Could Aaron be on to something??? Can Meli actually remarry Aaron just to save her family's company?
Falling for You is a fun, easy read that leaves you wanting more Aaron and Meli. Kerry Lonsdale never disappoints and this is no different. This is a second chance romance with such a great back story. I would love to see this made into a Hallmark-like movie. It has all the feelings of that. Special thanks to Kerry Lonsdale, NetGalley, Lake Union Publishing for the advanced digital copy in exchange for my honest opinion. 5 stars for me! #TeamKerry #FallingforYouAgain #NetGalley #KerrysTikiLounge

What a fun read! This book is fairly light-hearted, sweet, hopefully, and entertaining! I really enjoyed it, and was quite sad when it was over because I just wanted to keep reading more about Meli and Aaron.
After Meli's uncle decides to sell the family business, rather than give it to her as promised, Meli goes al out to stop that from happening. So, she decides to marry the competitions son... again. Her logic is that if they were married, they wouldn't buy her family shop because it would be a conflict of interest. Aaron has his own reason for this "marriage of convenience". And so it begins. And what begins as basically a business arrangement becomes a bit more complicated as the two find themselves truly falling for each other for real. Can they make it work? You'll have to read it yourself to find that out, but I promise - you won't be disappointed with the ending!

Thank you NetGalley for this ebook in exchange for an honest review.

This was cute, and original. The plot wasn’t something you’d read before many times so I enjoyed it as well as the main and side characters. Nicely wrapped up and satisfying ending, too.

loved Meli’s determination and fiery spirit, and Aaron’s sweetness and unwavering support added warmth to their dynamic. Their chemistry shines in moments of playful banter, making their connection feel genuine and heartfelt. Aaron’s quiet patience, especially in the face of Meli’s strong will, made him a character I rooted for — though I wished his personality had been given more depth beyond simply following Meli’s lead
