The League of Littles is an adorable children's graphic novel. The concept if fun and fresh, secret agencies of younger siblings vs older siblings with middle siblings standing by and watching for when they need to intervene. More fun adventures are sure to come in future installments.

Which league do you belong to? The Band of Bigs is for the oldest siblings, the Middles and Onlys Guild for middle children or only child, and finally The League of Littles for those who are the youngest sibling in the family. The League of Littles consist of three 9-year-olds Eli, Lexi and Mo, who are in training to become agents. They are given their first mission to find a missing pet. First grader Gabi brought in her older sister’s hamster for show and tell, escaped its cage and is running loose somewhere in the school. The League of Littles build their strategy to complete their mission.

This is an entertaining and simple story geared towards the younger side of middle grade readers. It’s very entertaining, humorous and light-hearted. Those siblings who are the youngest will feel their worth is just as valuable as their older siblings and give them encouragement.

This will be a great fit for your early elementary readers who want realistic graphic novels without the social angst of middle school drama. I'll be putting it in the hands of my ~2nd-3rd graders who gobble up the likes of THE CUPCAKE DIARIES and ANIMAL RESCUE FRIENDS. I especially love the art!

A fun and super original idea. However, as a first-born, I take offense at the characterization of all oldest children as villains. (All in good fun, but it really did get my hackles up the whole time I was reading.) I was a little surprised by how short the book was and how simplistic the League's mission was; I wanted to see more of this superhero world. Hand to fans of Katie the Catsitter.

This was so cute omg. The storyline is simple: a youngest sibling (Gabi) lost her sister (Rosa)’s pet hamster (Chester) and sought help from the Leagues of Littles. Little did they know Chester is an agent of the Band of Big with a mission to make Gabi face the consequence of her action.

Since I’m an oldest sibling of course I’m on B.O.B’s side lol. But it’s fun seeing Eli, Lexi, and Mo in action. The illustration is also very adorable! It would be nice if this is going to be a series because there’s so much that could be explored.

P.S. for the middle and only children, don’t worry there’s a guild or you guys too but sadly they didn’t do anything much here :’)

The League of Littles is such an adorable graphic novel. The L.O.L. helps out fellow youngest siblings in their times of need. Our three protagonists are called in to their first mission to find a missing pet hamster. It turns out said hamster is a secret agent for the Band of Bigs, the oldest siblings group, making him harder to pin down. There is so much fun world building in this, and the illustrations are fantastic. I can't wait to see what happens next! ABSOLUTELY HILARIOUS! An instant fave! A new squad in the League of Littles (their abbreviation is LOL lolololol) has been waiting for their first mission and now they're called on to help a little who lost her big sister's pet hamster at school. Literally kicking my feet up while I read this, giggling, guffawing, gasping at the twists. It is short, fun, and so adorable. And don't worry - it has something for every middle grade reader as the Band of Bigs and Guild of Middles and Onlys are also involved. The art choices here are brilliant - it feels like an action movie, taking the mission as seriously as the Littles do. Highly recommend. Disco made me do it!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a fun book! This book had problem solving and humor. Who would have thought a hamster would plan with kids to make a little kid in distress?
The illustrations were clear and great. I like how the end had an explanation each character and the author and illustrator. This is a good book to talk over with students, using prediction and problem solving.

This world was very interesting! I loved the different agencies. If you're looking for spies and secret societies in a school setting this book is for you! The artwork was wonderful and the story was engaging. I would keep reading this series.

This book is an absolute gem immediately drawing the reader in with its fun concept. The play on the relatable hierarchy of siblings is so interesting, especially since they're essentially unionizing by ranks here. Adored the colorful and playful art design that perfectly captures the tone of each scene. Honestly, I would tune in for many volumes of this!

The League of Littles is one of those younger reader graphic novels that I wish I had as a kid and am so glad I have now that I have a kid. I look forward to when she is older and can read this book filled with fun adventure and quirky characters you gotta love.

Lyall sets an interesting premise for this series. We meet the League of Littles Team Four as they are about to start their first case - a lost pet. Finding Chester the hamster leads to some unexpected outcomes. Readers see he is an agent for the Band of Bigs. These oldest siblings want the littles to learn there are consequences when taking things that don't belong to them. In the end the Littles find the pet and thwart the take down. I love how the Middles and Onlys Guild sits back and observes all the activity.
Fun filled adventures that will keep readers engaged - if only to cheer for their chosen group.

This middle-grade comic is definitely more suited for younger readers. It was really cute and reminded me of Spy Kids, Cats vs Dogs, Recess and Phineas and Ferb. Very quick read and would recommend if you like those things.

The story is about League of Littles trainees Mo, Lexi, and Eli, who are tasked with finding a missing pet hamster. It is fun, if not slightly ridiculous at times, but that only adds to its charm.

The artwork was hands-down my favourite part of the book. It's incredible cute and full of colour, bringing each page to life and perfectly capturing the tone of the story.

Overall, The League of Littles is a light, enjoyable read that kids will love.

I loved the graphics. I feel like the story could have used some more background info about the leagues. There were some holes in the plot. I do feel like it set up for book 2 well.

Appealing for ages 7-9 with strong reading skills looking to read longer books, older readers may not like that the main characters are 9 years old.
The storyline playing with youngest, middle, oldest, and only children has broad appeal. The art is bright and engaging, in a bit more of a comic book style that fits in with secret missions. The case files at the back really round out the feel of the book and there’s opportunity for more in the series. Readers will absolutely love Chester the guinea pig.

In this graphic novel, the League of Littles is needed to help find a lost pet, but all of the best teams are on other missions! What to do? Call in Eli, Lexi, and Mo for their first mission. Gabi has "borrowed" her sister Gabi's hamster, Chester, a known escape artist for show and tell, but took the extra precaution of taping his cage shut. Still, he's escaped. The L.O.L. members are on it, sneaking into the first greade classroom to investigate. They find Chester, but he skedaddles down the hall and into the ducts in the library ceiling. The L.O.L. members have to go to class, but try to recapture him after school, sending Mo into the ducts. She realizes that Chester is working with the Band of Bigs just before she plunges into a waiting barrel of water in the library! Mo's brother, and Gabi's sister are in the B.O.B., which is at odds with the L.O.L. There is also the Middles and Onlys Guild, but while they can watch the altercation in their own guild lair, they don't want to intervene unless necessary. Eventually, the L.O.L. lures Chester out with a disco dance party in a box, and return him to Gabi. Will the two groups ever reach a detente, or will there be further adventures?
Strengths: I really enjoyed Faber's artwork. The colors were great, and the illustration style is a little more comic book like, with finer line work than a lot of middle grade graphic novels. This was a fast paced, rather charming story that drops readers right into the adventure without spending too much time explaining how all of the different groups were formed or why they have secret lairs. The evil hamster is adorable, and I liked that the kids had to make sure they got to class before solving the mystery. This is very different from Lyall's Waking the Dead and Other Fun Activities.
Weaknesses: This is a bit young for my middle school students, even though the Band of Bigs are tweens. Also, lets not have water in libraries under any circumstances. Even evil hamsters should know better!
What I really think: This is a good choice for elementary readers who like Marvel or DC style adventures like Fridolfs and Nguyen's Study Hall of Justice (DC Comics: Secret Hero Society #1) or Venable and Yue's Katie the Catsitter.

All kinds of readers will enjoy this charming concept and world, but those with siblings will especially connect with the format.

The League of Littles is a group of youngest siblings who go through training to protect their own from - you guessed it - the oldest and middle children out there (who, of course, have their own associations, too). At the center of this book is little Chester, a hilarious hamster with some real sass and some particularly arresting proclivities. He belongs to an oldest child, but when her youngest sibling takes him to school to show him off, well, he goes to work for the enemy.

This is a very quick read, and it is so cute. Chester alone brings so much joy, and I hope we'll get to see him again in future books.

Of course, I'll be sharing this one with students.

Who doesn't love a little sibling rivalry? Super cute graphic novel that pits a secret helper group of Littles against a team of Bigs when a grade school kid loses her big sister's wily hamster. Fun and engaging read with an interesting set of characters. Kids will love the super spy antics, older readers will enjoy the sibling dynamics among the groups. Looking forward to more. I can't wait to see more action from the Middles and Onlys Guild.
