Elle Kennedy is one of those authors that has earned the "automatic buy" title. She always writes amazing storylines with a fair amount of spice. She doesn't reuse her scenes in other books, her characters have depth, and her books never seemed rushed or pressured to be published. I can honestly say I have yet to read anything by Elle and not love it.

Charlotte is a thinker. She has her method to determine how to proceed with her decisions for basically everything. What classes to take, what guys to date, if she wants to find her birth parents. She was adopted at a very young age by a wonderful family but she still wonders about her birth parents from Korea. In doing one of those home DNA tests, she finds out she has a brother.

Will comes from a well off family. His father is a politician and his step-mother fills the supporting wife role perfectly. Everything Will does reflects on his father's image. Or at least that's what his father is always saying. Needless to say, Will isn't too fond of his father.

Beckett's family came to the US from Sydney, Australia about a decade ago when his father was offered a job within the company where he worked. Beckett goes back every summer to visit his extended family. He doesn't tend to get close in relationships with women because of a girlfriend he had back in high school.

Charlotte is the prim and proper vice president of finance for her sorority. Charlie is the free spirited open minded girl that uses a dating app for her carnal urges. While swiping through the app, she sees Lars and B, two great looking guys that have a shared profile on the app. Intrigued, Charlie swipes to see if they're a match.

When the 3 finally match, they get chatting via the app. Charlie has no idea who they are but enjoys the steamy messages they exchange. When it finally comes down to moving forward in person or not, Charlie struggles with how to proceed. One woman with two guys has such a negative connotation that she really needs to think this through. Run the method.

This book was something else and I loved it. As stated earlier, Elle has a way with writing with such finesse. She has the ability to write about a MFM relationship without it being taboo or "wrong" in the eyes of the reader. She opens your eyes to relationships that aren't always written about. I also loved that each character had a real life story going on throughout the book. This wasn't a run of the mill hockey romance. It was thought provoking and the perfect amount of steam and spice.

I love going back to this universe. Elle Kennedy can do no wrong when it comes to college hockey romance.

I was lucky enough to receive an E-ARC from Hambright and half way through the ALC too. The second half of the audiobook which I listened to was so good. Persephone Lee, Sean Masters and Teddy Hamilton done a fantastic job at bringing the characters to life.

Charlotte (aka Charlie) is a people pleaser. She wants to be as perfect as possible. She is a STEM student with perfect grades and a sorority leader. She was adopted by her Connecticut-based parents and will do anything to make them proud, even if it's something she doesn't really want for herself. Charlotte lives a double life and she doesn't want many people to see the side where she cuts loose, lets off steam, takes chances and gives into her wants and needs. One thing she desires is two hockey players who would love nothing more than to share her.

Will and Beckett are swoon-worthy. They care so much for Charlie and don't pressure her into anything she doesn't want. They help her experience the things she desires whilst sticking by her and protecting her. They each have their own stories and growth throughout the book.

Charlotte works through so much self doubt in this book. She is afraid to show her true self to people in fear of being judged. She has so much growth and I love seeing her take the step to show her family who she really is and what she wants to do.

There is a mixture of light-hearted, funny banter and also some deeper and emotional topics covered. The spice is spicing with this MFM relationship. I love how their is no jealousy between the boys and the trust they gained with each other.

So much happens in this book and I don't want to give anything else away - so if you love Elle Kennedy and college hockey romance, you're going to need to read this!

Although I did really enjoy this read I found the fanfic very random and unnecessary. I did end up skipping past these sections of the book as I didn't think they brought anything to the story.

I do hope we get a book for Blake in another series. She is a fun character and I just know I'd love her story!

This was my first time reading Elle Kennedy & I totally get the hype now. The Charlie Method was superb!

All three characters were amazing. I loved how they each had their own arc and issues to overcome. I also really liked the relationship and how it was portrayed. The romance, while extremely hot, is also about acceptance and being there for one another. As much as I loved the boys, I do think Charlie was my favorite character.

I thought the pacing was great too. The writing was addictive and made me fly through this.

Narrators Teddy Hamilton, Sean Masters, and Persephone Lee were fantastic. I really liked their characterizations and they all sounded great together.

If you haven't read this series yet, don't worry, this can totally be read as a standalone. I would highly recommend this if you enjoy, MFM romances, hockey romances, college romances and steamy romances.

I loved the first two books in the Campus Diaries series, The Graham Effect & The Dixon Rule.

The Charlie Method started off quick & captivating. Charlie, Will & Beckett had me hooked & I didn't know a throuple romance could work. While it did largely surround how they'd navigate a throuple, it was so much more than just that which is why I love Kennedy's writing. At its core it's a romance, but there's so much depth.

Charlie & her birth family, Will & dealing with dad and politics, Beckett & his ex-girlfriend. There was so much going on in this book & I really ejioyed it.

Also dad chat!!

This one is definitely for the girlies who couldn’t decide between Team Edward or Team Jacob and secretly wanted both back in the Twilight Days ! I listened to the audiobook narration of this book…cue the spice. The narrators tone of voice made me feel all the feels and Elle Kennedy’s story telling brought “The Charlie Method” to life for me. I loved having three different narrators for this audiobook. Made it clear which book boyfriend was talking to me…I mean Charlie…….I am still fanning myself….what’s better then one boyfriend? The answer is clear in “The Charlie Method”….Two boyfriends who are hockey players and worship the ground the FMC walks on. Anyone will swoon and melt into a puddle reading this book. I will never get tired of Elle Kennedy’s, Off Campus, Briar U, and Campus Diaries Series…..currently adding hockey player as a must on my dating profile!

Welp, I loved this. I knew I would, but wow. This one book not only had a main story line, but 3+ others, AND a whole fanfic written within it?! AND it wasn’t overwhelming or hard to follow? Geez, Elle Kennedy knows how to write a great novel.

The Charlie method is out February 25!!!!

Although nothing can compared to the original series, this series has a special place in my heart (as does Elle Kennedy). Anything she writes, I have to read it. This book might be my least favourite in the series, but with that being said it would sit around at 4.5 for me (tbh I just really loved the other 2). The book covers some tough issues (adoption, abandonment) but also is heartwarming and of course spicy (duh it's Elle). Thank you so much Dreamscape for the ARC <3

If Elle’s writing it I am reading it! This one sucked me in and I finished it so fast! The audio is so good too I love a full cast audio. The narrators did an excellent job and I also loved Lars and B how does one pick? Charlie is a creative, smart, sexy onion ( her words)! I loved the growth shown by all characters and let’s be honest I just loved being back in the Briar world!

Written proof of "the more the merrier"

Will, Beckett, and Charlie gave me heart eyes the whole book, I loved them as individual characters and as a healthy throuple. Their dynamic worked, the chemistry was rocket launching, and the smut was extra spicy aka my perfect afternoon read/audiobook.

Elle Kennedy keeps outdoing herself with this next gen series! I'm loving this series more than Off Campus and each book is better than the last. Can't wait for the next one

I’ve recalled enjoyed this next generation Briar U series from Elle Kennedy and The Charlie Method was a really fun MMF romance. I went back and forth between the ebook and audiobook and the audio was a blast. It’s done in duet (do we still call it duet when it’s three narrators?) style and super well done.

There were some storylines in here that I felt were superfluous and not well wrapped up (even clocking in at nearly 600 pages ‼️) and I wish they’d have just been cut to make the story tighter. We see a lot of growth from Charlie and less from the guys, and I wanted more even development from all three of them. The appearances from others in this series - and from the original Briar U generation - were really fun.

Story 4 stars
Audiobook narration 5 stars

I voluntarily read a gifted copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

Why have one when you can have two? Elle Kennedy dives into hot steamy sports and stem romance and it was fire! I thought their dynamic was fun, full of spice and full of tension, discovery, I thought their dynamic and exploration of themselves was fun to read but the narrators? It made the story so much more fun and spicy. I was blushing while listening! I thought the narrators suited their characters perfectly and it made the story more interactive and fun and steamy. The Charlie Method is an absolute ode that nerds can be hot and it works and sharing is charing!

I was sooo excited for Beckett and Will's story. They are hands down my favorite two side characters in the series, and I adore why choose romance. That being said, this ironically was my least favorite of the three books. This one was VERY long (to the tune of 500 pages) and there were a lot of side plots to keep track of. I am adopted and so I did appreciate the adoption rep, but I don't think it really added anything to the story and felt more of a distraction than anything. My other criticism is the heavy stereotyping. You have the self-loathing perfectionist Korean girl, the "you must be pristine and perfect" sorority theme, and the STEM stereotype. It was just too much. Pick one and run with it.

The book would have benefitted from the dynamic of the three characters being the main focus. I really love those two boys and felt they were very much in the background. This was a book about Charlie, and the boys were just the side pieces to the story. I think they deserved more. A lot of readers seem critical over the ending and how everything wrapped up but I actually thought it was tied up nicely. She didn't have to choose and that is perfectly fine.

I enjoyed the last 30% of the story the most because that is where the relationships become the focus and it was less about the side plots.

As always, the spicy scenes were fantastic. Elle Kennedy writes some of the BEST spice and I will die on that hill. The audio was duet at parts and was great. All of the narrators fit the characters well. I listened at 2x.

There’s nothing better than a sports college romance written by Elle Kennedy. I absolutely adore the world of Briar U, and I’m always so happy to return every time. This book was steamy—twice as hot! I’m a huge fan of poly relationships, and Elle did an amazing job with this one. The dynamic between Charlie Beckett and Will was so well-written and harmonious. I was so sad to finish this series.

And can I just say... I NEED an Isaac and Blake book! Please!

Lastly, I have to give a huge shoutout to the audiobook—it was incredible! I highly recommend it, the voice actors did an outstanding job!

*The Charlie Method* by Elle Kennedy is book 3 in The Campus Diaries Series. The narrators do an amazing job of bringing the characters to life, infusing each moment with emotion and nuance. The pacing is spot-on, and the voices perfectly capture the essence of the characters. While I enjoyed the book, the ending left me wanting more. It felt like there was more to explore with the characters and their relationships, and I was hoping for a bit more resolution or depth in the final moments. Despite this, I still feel like it’s a good read and would recommend the series.

Thank you to the publisher and netgalley for the

I was so intrigued by the glimpses of Will and Beckett we got in the previous books so I was thrilled when I got my hands on this book! It was such a fun time. It's hard to balance a story with multiple love interests but I felt like we got to spend a good amount of time with each character. Will is such a sweetheart and I knew I would love him. It was a joy to get to know Beckett better because he tends to put up a front of unflappability when he really does care deeply. I related to Will and Charlie as they tried to carve out a path that felt right for them despite outside opinions. Being yourself regardless of what other people say is one of the hardest things you can do and I was so happy to see them find a way to do that. It was very encouraging to read about. The hockey aspect of the romance was minimal (I think there was one actual game scene and a couple practice scenes in the whole book). Most of the focus was on the relationship and each character's side plot. If you're not a sports romance person I'd still recommend picking this one because it was so fun to watch all three of them realize how perfectly they fit.

Each character had their own narrator and it was a blast hearing this story through their voices. Teddy Hamilton did a fantastic job as Will as always and I was thrilled to hear Beckett come to life with Sean Masters' Australian accent. If you're an audiobook person I definitely recommend picking this one up!

**Audiobook Review**

This was one of my most anticipated books of the spring and I loved this story so much. “The Charlie Method” is a steamy, heartfelt and swoony MFM college hockey romance that I couldn’t stop listening to once I started.

Charlotte Kingston is a senior at Briar U and leads a fun double life. Charlotte is a driven STEM student who is in a sorority and does everything by the book. Charlie is a dare devil who loves to drive fast cars on a track and finds herself matched with not one but two guys on a hookup app. Will Larsen is the guy next door type hockey player but is constantly feeling pressure from his congressman father to be just like him. Beckett Dunne is a laid back Aussie who has a secret heartbreak and uses his charm to hide it all. Will and Beckett are teammates, best friends, and like to share everything. And when they match together with Charlie on the app, all three agree to a fun situationship. But as things progress, lines blur and feelings start to form.

This story had so much in it and I loved every chapter. Charlie has an A-Type personality who wants to prove her worth to her family, who adopted her when she was a baby from South Korea, even though they loved and supported her with everything she did. Charlie was definitely letting those intrusive thoughts win. Will and Beckett were cinnamon roll guys who were protective and caring of Charlie from the moment they started their situationship. They are walking green flags and I loved them separately and together. They knew each other from classes and developed something even before the app. I loved Beckett’s teasing personality and his nickname for Charlie was so cute. Will was so great for Charlie as well and these three in a poly relationship just made so much sense. And the steamy scenes were so delicious and a lot of them are going to live rent free in my head for a long time. There are plenty of scenes of the three of them together, no sword crossing and they are solely focused on Charlie. And there are just scenes of Charlie with just one guy. But my favorite thing was how they all connected on an emotional level. They were truly there for each other and were there for each other when they needed it the most. The last few chapters were great and ended their story perfectly. I loved the Dad group chat from the OG’s and that had me smiling so much.

The audiobook was done in duet and it brought the story even more alive. Teddy Hamilton, Persephone Lee and Sean Masters were perfect. I loved Teddy as the fun and caring Will, he was so swoony as him. Persephone did an amazing job of bringing the confident Charlotte and flirty Charlie alive. And Sean was so great as the laid back and genuine Aussie, I loved his accent. The three of them were great and balanced each other out wonderfully.

I’m newer to Elle Kennedy and just tipping my toes into romances with throuples, so I was excited to give this one a shot. This was spicy and had me kicking my feet! I’ll definitely read more from this author!
