I will start by saying, if you do not like spicy books, this is probably not for you. Charlotte lives two lives, the high achieving engineering student and sorority VP of finance who has it all together, and Charlie, the risky, explorative girl looking for fun. She meets two guys on an app who she starts to chat with but struggles with knowing that people will talk about it if they knew. Will Larsen has a congressman father who expects him to be the perfect child and he just wants to carve his own path. His bestie, Beckett, is the ultimate playboy but is secretly a softie once you get to know him. Charlie finds out that who she has been talking to on the app and that they are both Briar U hockey players that she has class with.

This story was super spicy but had so much more to it. The main character, Charlie, was adopted as a baby and throughout the story she struggled with wanting to find out about her birth parents and if she had and siblings. Some of the feelings expressed in this book are spot on with things I have thought about since I was adopted as a baby as well. I enjoyed that storyline just as much as the relationship aspect. As always, Elle Kennedy knocked this one out of the park.

The narration was great. I am a big Teddy Hamilton fan so was excited to see he was in this one.

let us begin not by saying i didn't have high hopes, but maybe that i was already walking in feeling disappointed, because after hinting at a MM romance for two books, she just added this character out of nowhere, and i didn't like that. however, i made an effort because others book have surprised me before, but i just simply didn't like it. there were too many thing i didn't particularly likes, and they are my opinion, so please respect them.

<spoiler>* let's start with the throuple. i don't like throuples, simply because it always feels like one of the three is pushed aside, and guess what? it happened. moreover, i've seen people saying will is the main boyfriend, or whatever, but he was nowhere to be found halfway through the end, which was annoying because he had the potential to be someone good

* don't get me wrong, i love the off campus series, it was what got me back into reading. however, and i understand this is a second gen series, this people were in no way related to the OGs, so why are they so many mentions of them

* i found there were quite a few things underdeveloped:
1. there were too many side characters, which made it hard to read because no one seemed to bring anything to the table
2. there was a subplot about a fanfiction that took to many pages and too many mentions to make it annoying enough that i contemplated not finishing this book
3. the racial aspect of charlies life, and her adoption, i don't know if this book had sensitivity readers, and maybe i'm misunderstanding because i'm not of that race and don't really understand it, but i though it was a bit poorly written, and it came disrespectful at times (please correct me if i'm wrong)
4. i found the relationship between the main characters to be underdeveloped too, like she was rushing out whilst writing this one, which is sad because i truly enjoyed the other two books
5. and last and hopefully least, the whole "i feel like two different people if i'm either charlotte or charlie" and this two men were in the book just to be her accesories— if you want an accesory, get a new pair of shoes.</spoiler>

Many thanks to NG, Elle Kennedy, and Dreamscape Select for giving me the opportunity to listen to The Charlie Method in exchange of my honest opinion

Another emotionally gut-wrenching, incredibly SPICY, why choose, multiple POV, MMF college hockey romance between adopted Korean born Charlotte 'Charlie' who finds herself sexting two friends who like to hookup with the same girls.

Charlie is a type-A sorority and STEM student with anxiety and panic attacks who gets nervous when she does a DNA test that turns up a half brother. She also is working on grad school applications and her final capstone project so to let off steam she drives fast cars, writes historical romance fanfic and secretly sexts with anonymous guys.

But when her latest sext buddy turns out to be her lab partner and one of the school's star hockey players, things get especially complicated, especially after she finds herself falling for both him and his best friend and teammate.

Super spicy with great emotional depth, this was excellent on audio narrated by Teddy Hamilton, Sean Masters and Persephone Lee and perfect for fans of Lauren Blakely's My hockey romance series. Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early audio and physical ARC copy in exchange for my honest review!

CW: death of a loved one to cancer, anxiety and panic attacks

All the sugar puffs! The Charlie Method by Elle Kennedy was a sweet and spicy MFM college hockey romance that had me swooning, smiling, and blushing from start to finish. I have adored every couple in the Campus Diaries series, and couldn’t wait for Charlie, Will, and Beckett’s romance. Elle always has a way of creating such memorable and emotional characters, and I couldn’t get enough of these three!

Persephone Lee, Teddy Hamilton, and Sean Masters perform this audiobook in duet-style narration. I absolutely loved these three together on this audiobook, making this an entertaining, steamy listen. Persephone is a new to me narrator. I adored the softness in her tone that captured Charlotte’s prim and proper sorority girl persona, while also adding a feisty, edge to her voice to capture Charlie’s adventurous, sexy side. Teddy’s warm, inviting voice exuded all things Will giving him the perfect amount of boy-next-door charm and allure. Sean’s Australian accent for Beckett was a whole vibe encompassing his dominance in the bedroom and his vulnerability to love again. All three narrators create tension and heat right from the start. It’s HOT.

Overall, I LOVED this book. If you are a fan of an MFM college romance with two hot confident hockey players, a passionate dedicated sorority girl, online dating apps, finding new kinks, finding your biological brother, college parties, lots of steamy times, fanfiction fun, rave fantasies, Dad Chat text exchanges, jealous exes, secret romance, more three-way spice, family drama, post-college plans, finding a new normal, and a HEA that is the perfect method for you heart, then you will love Charlie, Will, and Beckett’s story. I always look forward to more from Elle Kennedy.
