3/5 audiobook.
Let me start by saying this was my first ever audiobook. I think I got a little ahead of myself. Because this book was heavy on the spice and my little ears were NOT prepared for it. So if you are like me and new to audiobooks, I do NOT recommend starting with this. However, if you are a seasoned romance audiobook veteran, then you would probably love this. I think?
Personally, I struggle with audiobooks, because the voices sound so condescending to me. And I specifically struggled with this one, because I was familiar with all the characters and their voices didn’t match what I had in my head and I could not get into it easily. So are you catching my drift here that this audiobook fail was most likely my fault? I enjoyed it once I got into it, but it took a hot minute for me. Plus, I never got over the female voices and just how grating and theatrical they were. Probably not for me. Therefore I’m giving this a middle of the road rating, because that seems safe.

Wow, this might be my fave in this series! I LOVED this so much! 😍 I loved Charlie and seeing the two lives she lived. Her struggles with her origins and all of that was heartbreaking. I am so happy she found a guy or 2 😉 to help heal her heart and show her that she is absolutely enough! Under that white skirts and bows exterior is the tough fast car loving strong woman! I loved her versatility!
Ugh Will and Beckett… the best book boyfriends EVER! 🥹 I was swooning and sweating for them both this whole book! I have been waiting for this since that one scene in the Dixon Rule (iykyk) and I was certainly not disappointed in the slightest! 🩷🩷
Teddy Hamilton was amazing of course, he does nothing wrong ever. Sean Masters brought the best performance of Beckett to the table! Persephone Lee was the most amazing Charlie, in all aspects!

Thank you Get Red PR and Bloom Books for my gifted copies! All opinions are my own.
The Graham Effect is an all time favorite and I’ve been loving this series! We met Will and Beckett in the first two books and I was excited to see how their story progressed. I think this was my first MFM story and I appreciated how their HEA was handled. I was always rooting for Charlotte, Beckett and Will.
I just loved Charlotte/Charlie. She is a leader on her sorority and a student in STEM plus she is searching for her biological family. She has so much going on and she handles it all so well. She is nervous about pursuing a relationship with the guys because of how she’ll be perceived but can’t help her feelings.
This was definitely steamy and it also smiling and laughing out loud (the dad’s text exchange.)
I’m so sad to see this series end, but I can’t wait the see what we get to read next from Elle Kennedy!

Audiobook Review 🎧
Narrated by Teddy Hamilton, Sean Masters and Persephone Lee
Duet Narration
This review really could be narrowed down to one word… HOT. I am in love with Charlie, Will and Beckett!! These three were so easy to fall in love with, I couldn’t get enough of them!! The dynamic between them, and how their relationship developed had me HOOKED!
There were so many times that I found myself laughing out loud. First, the dad chat??? I want in!!! Coach Hollis, the freaking app with both of them on the same profile, Charlie’s family dinner where everyone had a confession 😂 seriously there were so many amazing parts to this story!!
And the audio?? Omg Sean and Teddy could be reading me street signs and I’d eat it up everytime!!! I loved how this was done in duet — it really amplified the story!

Normally I am a big fan of Elle Kennedy's books, but this one was not for me. I probably should have skipped it based on the trope alone, but I had forgotten what type of relationship this was going to be in between this book and the last. I didn't read the blurb, and that's my fault. There were several times I thought about ending it in a DNF, but I decided to give Elle Kennedy and this ARC the benefit of the doubt.
What went wrong for me with this book? Well, it started off with Charlie and another man, which I guess was a way to show a certain side to Charlie to the reader. At least it was prior to the romance in this book, but it still felt icky to me. Then, there was the actual romance. I didn't love it. I honestly didn't feel a close enough connection between the characters to truly believe they were falling in love. The sexual relationship took center stage, and the feelings felt like the came second. Plus, it was accepted by everyone else way too easily. This book was more suited for the erotica genre than new adult sports romance in my opinion.
As for the actual characters themselves, Charlie was a lot. She had so much going on: a strict sorority and job in it that she was only in because her mom had been a part of it, wanting to get into a good grad school, wanting to find her birth family from Korea while being scared what her adoptive family would think, a secret passion for driving fast cars, and a desire to hook up with one-night stands. There was so much that it was too much to focus on for one character. The story kind of narrowed down to focus on the adoption aspect. I could connect with some of that stuff as an adoptee myself, and other parts of it made me uncomfortable. All this stuff Charlie had going on made Will's relationship with his dad and Beckett's issues fade into side character storyline territory.
One of the biggest things that had me considering a DNF was a comment and then a situation from it. Charlie confides that she wants to try go to a rave and try ecstasy. The guys make it happen for her. This bothered me a lot. Should trying a recreational drug be promoted in a new adult book written for late teens and new adults whose brains aren't fully developed and are having to make real time choices about taking drugs in a world of fentanyl overdoses and addiction? Especially when the character's reaction was that she wouldn't do it again only because she liked it too much?
Now that I've ranted, let me tell you what I did enjoy. Will and Beckett's friendship and support of each other was nice, even if I would have loved for them to have found other girlfriends. I liked the story about Will's relationship with his dad and what Beckett's parents were going through. I also enjoyed Blake's parts in the story. She kind of stole the show. I also enjoyed a scene where Charlie laid everything out for her family toward the end. It was fun.

I really enjoyed this one. Yes, we got our throuple with Charlie, Beck, and Will, and yes we had our steamy scenes but I did really love that the story had a main plot of the three of them finding their way, what made them happy, as they were leaving college.
I think Elle Kennedy really encapsulated the fear, the excitement, the nervousness of leaving the safety of what you know and venturing out into the world. It paralleled nicely with them finding themselves as a throuple, too.
And, I'm sorry, but the DadChats will always be a highlight for me!

TEDDY HAMILTON AND SEAN MASTERS KNOCK IT OUT OF THE PARK EVERY SINGLE TIME!!!! I really loved the way they brought this story to life; it truly elevated the reading experience for me!
One thing that remains consistent in Elle's storytelling across every book in this series is that there is more to these characters than what meets the eye. Will, Beckett, and Charlie each had the type of depth that made you want the best for them as individuals, and it made me happy to see the boys become an emotional support system for Charlie beyond the initial confines of their relationship. I found the side storylines with Will and Charlie's backstories to be an interesting way to show us more about them than what we see on the surface.

I loved the other two in the series and so I was excited to jump right into this one. I love Elle Kennedy’s writing style and her characters leap off the page for me, making me want to know more about them. Charlotte is fascinating in that she has her foot in two worlds, not really knowing where she fits once she finds a relative on an ancestry website. Similarly, she feels that way with her love life as well and her explorations with Will and Beck and intriguing. I think where this didn’t work for me was that the characters just seemed surface to me; sure, they all have their things to work through but they didn’t seem very fleshed out to me and so I never really felt drawn into their world as I was in the other books.

This book encompassed so many things about college life, expectations, relationships, friendships and finding yourself. I really loved Charlie’s character!! Charlie seems so complex with her perfectionist personality to be the best sorority girl, daughter, friend for everyone. She really needs to feel free; she finds comfort and a wild side in Will and Beckett!! I loved that this book is done from the point of view of Will, Beckett and Charlie. Such a fun multi layered hockey romance college life book. I laughed, blushed and just overall really enjoy getting to know these characters.
The audibook was such a treat with narration by Teddy Hamilton, Sean Masters and Persephone Lee. They all were the best voices for Will, Beckett and Charlie!!

3.5 ⭐️
I liked The Charlie Method. I listened to the audiobook version and it was well done, would recommend if you like audiobooks. The book is told from three POV and while it does allow insight into all three MC, I don't feel like we get a very in depth view of anyone except Charlie. Beckett and Will were good characters, nicely written, but they seemed too superficial with not enough depth.
~~What I liked~~
-I always enjoy Elle Kennedy's writing style. Her books are easy to read (or listen to), with fun dialogue and usually a good story. This book had a good story with some harder-hitting topics like adoption and family dynamics.
-Charlie was an interesting MC and felt more developed than the two boy-toys. She experienced growth and change throughout the book, which to me always indicates a well-written character.
-Throuples are fun to read about, but this book especially was interesting because of the conflict Charlie had with having two boyfriends.
~~What I didn't like~~
-As mentioned previously, I with Will and Beckett were a bit more developed. They weren't totally flat, but I felt there was more that could have been done. For example, there is almost no touching on Beckett's old girlfriend, but there was so much potential there. It was mentioned, a few paragraphs dedicated to it, then...poof! gone!
-Minor spoiler: I was not a fan of the third act 'breakup'.
-While most of the smex scenes were good, some had me rolling my eyes. Anytime you are impaled (I counted at least twice) by a body part, you probably should be checked over by a doctor.
-There were some issues with the minor parts of the plot, like their classes. I was a little confused about why Charlie and Will were taking an advanced science class together but Will ended up working on a campaign trial as a...not sure what exactly, but it sure wasn't a scientist.
Overall, I liked this better than book 1 in the series. I might recommend if you enjoy Elle Kennedy. Oh, and don't expect much hockey in this one.
Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC of the audiobook.

I've been waiting for this ever since I finished The Dixon Rule. If you haven't started the Campus Diaries series, don't miss out on the other 2 books. This one is about Charlie, Beck and Will. First of all, this book was steamy with a capital S. The feelings the three shared really felt genuine to me. Sometimes these types of scenarios can seem kind of tacky, but this one was really well written. Elle's characters are always so lovable. There are so many plotlines going on that you will never get bored. They all have their own family issues, school issues and then trying to navigate their time together. I had so many laughs with all the hockey guys and the Dad Chat. There are some really emotional issues, navigating life while adopted and always trying to live up to everyone else's expectations. I also listened to this on audio and the narration was fantastic. Each character had their own narrator and it was done in a "multi cast style" where they continually read their own characters. They really brought the characters to life and the accents were so good.

Elle Kennedy is one of my favorite authors. I enjoyed this story. This book is about a college student who meets two hockey players on an app. She has a night with both of them she can’t forget. This book has great spice but also a great story line. I love all of these characters and their own stories

4.5 Stars I seriously love Elle Kennedy’s Campus Diaries series and each book just gets better and better. I’m pretty sure The Charlie Method is my fave of the series…so far.
Charlotte Kingston is living a double life. By day, she’s a college senior and sorority girl, overachieving in her biomedical engineering program at Briar U. By night, she’s Charlie, a risk taker, daring to drive fast sports cars and hookup with hotties from a dating app. And that’s how she finds herself chatting with two anonymous men. Will Larsen is the classic boy next door and Beckett Dunne is a laid back Aussie. Will and Beckett like to share girls in the bedroom and can’t wait to meet up with Charlie. When Charlie meets Will and Beckett in person and realizes she’s been chatting with two gorgeous Briar U hockey players, things heat up fast. But as they continue to see each other, the secrets begin to pile up. What happens when things finally spill out into the open?
I love Charlie, Will, and Beckett! Both as a throuple and as individuals. Their individual journeys as they worked through their own secrets and insecurities were just as fun to read about as their relationship progressed. Why choose romance is so fun to read and makes for the hottest spicy scenes. The three narrators did a wonderful job with the duet narration and brought the characters to life perfectly. If you have the option to listen to the audiobook, I highly recommend it!
Thank you to Elle Kennedy, Bloom Books, and Dreamscape for the ALC 🩵 The Charlie Method is available now!

💙 The Charlie Method is out TODAY and is a satisfying conclusion to the Campus Diaries series.
💓 Charlie is a college senior gearing up to apply to medical school. She's happiest in the lab or hitting the gas pedal on fancy cars at the track. She's under a lot of pressure by her adopted family and others to get into the best school and make a name for herself. Yet, she feels she's missing a piece of her and wants to find out if she has any siblings. Once finding she has a brother, she yearns to know everything about him.
💓 She also wants to know everything there is to know about the two shirtless faceless men who she's been chatting with online. Little does she know, they're her lab partner and lecture hall nemesis....and they both want her. Together.
💙 Will and Beckett are graduating hockey players who share women for fun. No strings attached, especially NO relationships. But once they start seeing Charlie, they can't resist wanting more.....but is that in their futures when they can't be sure of what they truly want for themselves?
💓 Elle Kennedy's newest has some of her spiciest scenes yet while also having a female MC that everyone wants to root for. Her relationship with herself is the main focus of this novel with Beckett and Will hanging around. I felt the little jabs Will made towards his dad were fitting based on todays situation. Capping in at a little over 500 pages, this is a novel for those who love Elle's books and are rooting for hockey + spice + an HEA. I finished this novel on audio and loved the narrators and the duet format- Persephone Lee, Teddy Hamilton and Sean Masters made me binge til the end. I would definitely recommend others listen to the audio for that powerful production.

I loved that Charlotte is unapologetically herself! What starts as a fun hookup leads to so much more! This was such a fun read! The spice was incredible and the plot kept me entertained and turning the pages!! I started with ARC and finished with ALC! The audio brought this book to life and I loved it even more on audio!

”You shouldn’t have to change to keep anyone around. That’s not love. That’s…control.”
The Charlie Method was hot, sweet, funny, and wildly emotional. Yes, this book is about a STEM college student hooking up with two hockey players. BUT it’s also about three people falling in love and navigating their feelings, their lives, all on top of figuring out what’s next after college. Charlie, Will, and Beckett absolutely stole my heart. I loved Charlie’s family and all of her feelings surrounding her adoption. Will figuring out things with his dad and all of his expectations was stressful, but also relatable in ways. Beckett having so many layers you wouldn’t expect when meeting him in the other books in the series.
If you enjoyed the other books in the series and want to read a steamy yet emotional MFM, then absolutely pick up The Charlie Method. I was lucky enough to get an ALC from Netgalley and the audio was such a great listen. the voice actors did a fantastic job especially when it was a trio style narration. Truly made the book that much better!

It’s pub day and I’m thrilled to share another 5 star read by Elle Kennedy - The Charlie Method! 🩵
Charlotte Kingston is the ultimate sorority girl by day and a daring thrill-seeker by night, unknowingly chatting with two super-hot hockey players. (I think my Kindle almost melted at how hot these chats got!) 🔥
Will and Beckett have their own share of messy secrets, and the love triangle that follows is steamy, hilarious, and full of swoon-worthy moments. 😊
As always, Elle Kennedy delivers her signature mix of humor, heat, and drama, making this third book in the Campus Diaries series an absolute page-turner. If you enjoyed The Graham Effect and The Dixon Rule, you can’t miss this one! 🥰

3.5⭐, 3.5🌶️
Hmmm, sooooo lets start by saying, I WANTED to love this book. I was so so excited for this book, and getting to read it in advance of its publishing had me counting my blessings! And while there was so much fun in this story, there was also bit of stuff I wasn't a fan of and didnt vibe with.
BUT I WANNA START with the positives - Our Charlie girl. For a college student, she had SO MUCH going on, and was so smart, and had a heart of gold. Her friendships were so sweet and I was just rooting her on the whole time to get Charlie's confidence in her Charlotte persona. Her history as an adoptee (and her fighting for a relationship with Harrison) had my heart breaking. And then how she enters into a relationship with both Will and Beckett was HOT and exciting. The relationship grows at what felt really "normal" for a trio entering a poly relationship in college.

So, I, like many others, was very bummed to realize this was a MFM - no MM interactions. While I liked Beckett and Will's friendship, and how adorable each of them were with Charlie, I wanted more. Sue me. I feel like the first two books really teased the possibility of having some MM action, so maybe my expectations fell short? Idk? But that twist of the end just threw me off, and I didnt like that for the couples dynamic or how it was resolved. Sigh.
Lastly - I fell like my review is so crazy, but the book had SO much going on and I'd feel remis if I don't bring up anyyyy of these rando subplots:
Loved the dad chat. I loved seeing out OG boys still be goofy, and adding in the current boys. My favorite part was all the jokes from Mike Holli and cooky Remi references. (was it necessary? No. Did I enjoy it? Yes)
the Historical Fiction Fan Fic? What in the world? I dont even know what to say about all that (was it necessary? No. Did I enjoy it? No)
Blake and Isaac. Are we gonna get more of them? I feel like we got such a side view of what was going on and its kind of like a teaser for more? Idk. If we never hear about them again I'm gonna be grumpy (was it necessary? Maybe? Did I enjoy it? Kinda, I wanted more or I wanted less.)
The duet narration by Persephone, Teddy, and Sean was WONDERFUL (was it necessary? yes. Did I enjoy it? Yes)
Thank you Hambright PR for an eARC, and NetGalley and Dreamscape Select for an ALC of this book in exchange for my honest and unpaid review.

If there’s one thing I know about Elle Kennedy, it’s that she can write a hockey romance in her sleep!! Anything she writes, I will read. Th Charlie Method was no different!
Charlotte Kingston finds herself living two lives at Briar U. A STEM student and a sorority girl by day and a risk-taking adventurous girl by night. One night scrolling on a dating app leaves her chatting with two anonymous men.
Will Larsen and Beckett Dunne are two best friends on the Briar U hockey team who share a secret… sometimes they like to share. When Will, Charlie and Beckett find themselves meeting in person, sparks fly and decisions will need to be made.
If you’re like me, you’ve been WAITING for Will and Beckett’s story since The Graham Effect and can I say, it did NOT disappoint! I love both Beckett and Will so much! I also found myself really enjoying and relating to Charlie. I loved her story and watching her learn about her past prior to being adopted.
I wish we could’ve seen a little more of Diana and Will’s friendship sprinkled into this one because I really enjoyed them, but other than that I LOVED this book!
If you’re looking for a fun, college romance I highly recommend this series starting with The Graham Effect! I listened to The Charlie Method on audio which had duet narration and I would strongly recommend the audiobook if you enjoy them! The narrators were perfection. 😍

I am waaayyyy past the age of the characters in this book, but I loved every minute of it! It made me fictionally re-live those exciting college days with all the knowledge I have now.
Charlotte was such a great character. She’s responsible and on top of everything but she wants to have a wild, adventurous side that’s hidden to all the people that care about her. She’s afraid they will judge her. Let’s face it, at any age there is so much judgement. The author did a great job with her character arc. I adored each of her hockey players and they had well developed character arcs, as well.
This book was well written with mature themes that young characters are dealing with. The spice was off the charts on this one. Great conflict. A fun storyline. It was very enjoyable. The narrators did a phenomenal job bringing this book to life. Huge thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for allowing me to listen and review this book.
