OKAY. OKAY. this was the sexiest thriller I have read in a minute! I did not want to put it down. HOWEVER; the ending. WHY is it left open ended?! It's killing me here. I'm not sure how I feel about it besides enraged in the best possible way. If you're looking for a fast paced psychological thriller that still leaves you questioning things after the story is over. this is for you!

Well this was an intriguing, chilling read with plenty of twists. Even when it all came together it still blew my mind, like WOW! I'm still pondering what happens now?
I quickly found myself absorbed in the story, Elizabeth an English professor has been carrying a secret, one she wants to stay buried, but even the darkest secrets risk being exposed.
It was gripping and intense, who was sending the chapters, why now after all these years, is her past catching up with her or is it just a weird coincidence.
I was thoroughly entertained throughout, Someone Knows was thrilling for sure. I Loved it.

I finished this book in about 24 hours so it was definitely a page turner. I found myself being sad for the main character due to her lack of a relationship with her mother. The last little twist at the end was good too. Will definitely be looking in to more books from this author. Thank you!

This book!!
I haven’t read a thriller I’ve loved this much in awhile 👏🏻
From page one, I was hooked. We follow a teacher who has a secret in her past that is coming back to haunt her. The FMC was super unlikable but in the best way and I was completely on the edge of my seat with every decision she made. The ending truly sent it to another level and the last few pages had me SCREAMING. Mark your calendars for this one!!

Someone Knows is definitely a title that grabbed my attention and gave me chills all at once. It suggests mystery, secrets, and piqued my curiosity. Vi Keeland delivered with unexpected twists, an intense, thrilling, suspenseful story, a bit of spice, and full of oh my God moments—this book is a rollercoaster I didn’t expect. I was on the edge of my seat from start to finish. It’s one of those rare reads where you think you’ve figured it out, make wild guesses along the way, and question everyone and everything—only to realize you’re completely wrong. With every page, you realize someone knows more than you, and you’ll be hooked, eager to find out what happens next. A standing ovation for author Vi Keeland!!!

OMG!! I am absolutely speechless!!
I can’t even express my thoughts about this book. So I will just say….PLEASE read this story!! This story will suck you in from the beginning and not let go until that final sentence!! And even that will keep you thinking.

This one was so twisty and I loved it! I didn’t see the ending coming and it was so good. I really liked Vi Keeland’s The Unraveling, so I was excited to read this one early!

Wow! VI can write anything. Someone knows was one of the best thrillers I have read in a long time.
Elizabeth is a college English Professor and someone is making her nervous. She makes plans to go home and confront everyone who she thinks "knows". This leads us to a cast of characters who may or may not be in on some intense drama that occurred 20 years ago. But the plot gets deeper and deeper as Elizabeth tries to whittle down her suspects. There is more than one twist to this story and I will admit I did not guess the biggest twist.
Elizabeth finally gets her answers or is she still part victim? Loved it!!

Well, there is no lack of suspects in this mystery. Elizabeth is an English Professor whose past is a bit of a mystery. She left her hometown some twenty years ago and never looked back. For good reason. Then out of the blue, she receives an email containing a work assignment from an unknown student that alludes to knowing something dark about her past. Now she's on a mission to find out who they are and how they found out something that only two people knew, and with such intimate details. There is suspense. There are some twists and turns that you won't see coming. There were incidents that happened that made you think something was going to happen (or that maybe they were clues of some sort) that never came to fruition. (Whether that was intended or just how analytical my mind is, I don't know.) There is some sexual content. There is also mention of abuse and loss of pregnancy. Elizabeth's character is smart, but she tended to be a bit rash at times, mostly due to the stress and anxiety she had from the situation. She used sex as a distraction. She had no interest in having a relationship with anyone for anything other than getting that release. This was in part due to her past and upbringing. Due to the amount of possible suspects, there really was no telling how this was going to play out. You really couldn't predict what would happen. It did take me a little while to really get into the story, but once I did, it was a real page turner. It's taken from just Elizabeth's POV.

4.5 Stars
Elizabeth, 37, is an English professor at a University in New York. She's currently teaching an online writing class during the summer. And one of her students sent in the first chapter of a story.
A story that is way too close to what happened in Elizabeth's life 20 years ago. How can that be? How can someone know what happened back then - what she did?
Let's find out...
════════════════
Well... I liked that.
It was suspensy and mysterious and sexy and scary and dark and sad and so many more things.
Even though we kind of know what Elizabeth did 20 years ago, we still root for her. To find out who is threatening her. To finally uncover everything about all the things in her past and present. We want a happily ever after for her.
But it might take us a while to get our happy end - or whatever end Vi has planned for Elizabeth and us. LOL.
If you're one of those weird I-read-the-end-first people - PLEASE DON'T!
► SOMEONE KNOWS was a great psycho thrillery mystery. I enjoyed reading it and I would so watch the movie!

Vi Keeland’s Someone Knows offers a blend of suspense and drama centered around Elizabeth, a college English professor whose life unravels after a manuscript echoes her traumatic past. Elizabeth recognizes the story of a high school affair that mirrors a dark secret from her own youth. The writing is engaging. Elizabeth’s character is well-developed, and her internal struggles add depth to the narrative. The tension builds effectively as she tries to uncover the identity of the mystery student, adding an intriguing layer to the plot. However, the pacing sometimes falters. Certain sections feel a bit drawn out, with moments of introspection that, while reflective, occasionally slow the momentum.
Overall, Someone Knows is a solid read that explores the complexities of past decisions and repercussions. While it may not break new ground in the psychological thriller category, the author delivers a compelling story that kept me engaged until the end. Fans of character-driven narratives will likely find this a worthwhile addition to their reading list.
I would recommend this book and this author.

Elizabeth is a writing professor who looks forward to teaching her class each semester. She has a past that she would like to forget, although someone this semester doesn’t want her to forget. Storyline is detailed and well written. Lots of suspenseful twists. Moved at a good pace and kept me glued to the pages. Definitely recommend. This was amazing.

Thank you to NetGalley, Vi Keeland, and Atria Books for the ARC of Someone Knows. Vi Keeland, a prolific author known for her romance novels, is venturing into the thriller genre with her upcoming release, "Someone Knows." This standalone thriller, set to be published by Atria Books on June 17, 2025, promises a captivating tale of secrets, suspense, and a past that refuses to stay buried.
The story centers around Elizabeth, a college English professor who finds herself drawn into a chilling mystery when she reads the first chapter of "The Reckoning," a creative writing assignment submitted by one of her students. The story, which details a high school senior's affair with her teacher, hits uncomfortably close to home for Elizabeth, as it mirrors her own past.
Elizabeth recognizes the story as a retelling of her own experience, the girl in the story being her former best friend, Jocelyn. The chilling realization dawns on her: she knows how the story ends, with the teacher dead, because she was the one who killed him.
Haunted by her past, Elizabeth is forced to confront her buried secret when she discovers that someone knows what she did twenty years ago. The mystery student submitting the chapters becomes a constant reminder of her dark past, and Elizabeth finds herself drawn back to her Louisiana hometown in an attempt to uncover the identity of her stalker.
As Elizabeth delves deeper into the mystery, she realizes that time has not healed her wounds, and she cannot escape the consequences of her actions. The story promises a thrilling journey of self-discovery as Elizabeth grapples with the weight of her past and the consequences of her actions.
"Someone Knows" is a testament to Vi Keeland's versatility as an author, showcasing her ability to craft compelling narratives that transcend genre boundaries. With a blend of suspense, mystery, and emotional depth, "Someone Knows" is sure to keep readers on the edge of their seats, eager to uncover the truth behind Elizabeth's secret and the identity of the person who threatens to expose it. #NetGalley #SomeoneKnows

This is one intense emotional thriller that had me hooked instantly and gripped me until the end. Professor Elizabeth Davis gives her students a writing assignment. She begins to read Hannah Greer's writing assignment and feels that she knows her deepest darkest secret. As she keeps getting chapters even the tiniest details are accurate. She goes back to her home town in Louisiana to visit her mother the one person she told the truth to.
A small town where everyone knows your name and your every move. One person is tormenting her but who? Mr Sawyer was her teacher but their relationship was so chilling to read about and realize what a monster he was.
This is one thriller you don't want to miss so add to your TBR today you will be so glad you did.

Vi Keeland writes thrillers? Heck yes, sign me up!
𝘚𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘒𝘯𝘰𝘸𝘴 was an amazingly well-done book. I loved the mysterious emails, and I truly had no idea what was going to happen with Elizabeth.
This book was so entertaining with all of the surprises, and it left me questioning everything until the end. I think I actually still have a few questions 😅
I definitely recommend this to thriller lovers, and I'll be reading it again. I hope Vi writes more books like this one in the future!

Vi Keeland really kept me on the edge of my seat! I kept going back and forth over who Hannah Greer was. There were a few twists and turns that caught me by surprise. The final chapter was super clever! I had been right all along, but then tricked into believing what Elizabeth believed. Well written thriller!

This one is a fast paced thriller that immediately caught my attention. Keeland is a very talented author, and her writing style is so engaging. The twists were great, and even had me gasp out loud! I will say the numerous digs at Catholicism/Christianity left a bad taste in my mouth as there wasn’t much truth or consistency behind them. However, my biggest complaint is that I wish there had been some better resolution at the ending regarding one of the characters! Overall very well written and I am eager to see what she writes next. Thank you NetGalley and publisher for the ARC.

First, I would like to say I am a fan of Vi Keelands’s books and I am super excited to find out that she is venturing into writing different genres.
“Someone knows” review:
I rate this book 4 stars. I found the first half of the book a bit confusing and unevenly paced. The second half of the book was way better and I binged the through it. The book concept kept me intrigued enough to continue to read. I easily divulged this book in one day. The book was definitely unique and interesting. I loved the plot twist and the ending.
Pros:
- The mystery was interesting and the plot twist in the middle definitely surprised me. A few times I considered the plot twist, but definitely like how the author played the twist out.
Cons;
- I felt the beginning of the book lacked more of an introduction. I don’t feel like as a reader that we got a sense of the character before being caught up in a mystery.
- I also felt like the beginning’s pacing was off. Some parts felt more rushed than others and the transitions between scenes felt a bit jumpy and could have been smoothed into a bit more
- All the characters could have used more of a connection to with the reader, other than their names and relations.

This is the the second book of this genre and it is just as good as the first. That ending!
It kept you wondering who done it . Who sent the emails? Is is the same person as "the killer"? Who know.
