I’m really enjoying these thrillers from Vi! “Back in the day” I read the whole romance backlist so this is really cool!

A professor gets her students assignment in chapters. Chapters of a story she knows all too well. A story from the past that could ruin everything. But who is sending her these chapters?

The first 55% had me tense and guessing, questioning everyone! Clearly we can’t trust anyone here. Then *that* moment is revealed and my jaw DROPPED! That changed everything and made me love it even more. I didn’t think it was going that route and I’m surprised it did! You still might not figure it out at this point so I’m being vague but trust me when I say just go in blind and question everything!

I also quite enjoyed the sprinkled in love interests. Yes plural. At first I wasn’t the biggest fan of all the men fawning over her and her wishy washy ways but once you see why she is the way she is and the parts the mens different relationships play in her life it just fits.

VI’s thrillers are fast paced and entertaining Id read them in one sitting if life allowed it!

Oh, Vi. I will read whatever you write! I love college setting books and stories involving academia. This was fantastic and propulsive. I read quickly because it was difficult to put down. Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC.

Vi Keeland is an autobuy author for me. Her latest, Someone Knows was one that her fans are going to eat up!! It's coming this summer.

The end left me speechless. Vi Keeland is the queen of twisty thrillers with some serious steamy scenes. I LOVE her thrillers for when i can’t decide if I’m in the mood for a thriller or romance because she does both. And this was no exception. I devoured this one in a day and was completely immersed. Just when you think you have it all figured out, you realize you don’t.

Will post reviews to social media closer to pub date

✨ARC Review✨
Speechless! I really did not know what to expect from this book, but it kept me on my toes the whole time. For a lot of it I thought I knew which direction it would go, but I was so wrong. It had a little bit of spice and a whole lot of mystery. And the last chapter, my jaw was on the floor!!! This story was so different from Vi’s other book that I read, and I truly loved it. Thanks so much to Vi, Atria Books, and NetGalley for the ARC!

I enjoyed this book and all the twists and turns. I found the second have much more exciting than the first and devoured that part quickly!

Thank you, Atria Books, for providing a copy of Someone KNows by Vi Keeland for me to review. I loved the description, and the idea of a student who knows the skeletons in the professor’s past, and turns in writing assignments detailing the events, is intriguing. Sadly, those writing assignments were so distasteful they were hard to read. I hated that one of the ‘big reveals’ was my most-hated trope in thrillers. I know many readers love ‘twists’ or ‘reveals’ and the more the better, but for me at some point it got to be too many, and they don't all add up. This book wasn’t for me, but it might be for you if you love those “twists and turns”. 2 stars

sigh, i was super excited for this one as i loved The Unraveling so much and that was what got me interested in starting my journey with finally reading thrillers. however this felt so meh to me… its a quick and easy read, its just interesting enough to make you want to push through to the end to get all of the answers but at the end of the day the answers were again, meh.

the first “big twist” really underwhelmed me as not even three chapters in i thought “huh how funny would it be if…” and well the answer is not very funny because it turned out to be exactly what i had thought. unfortunately i think that would have been the only thing to give me any bit of a shock factor had i not been right from just a few pages in lol.

at the end of the day it was a quick and easy read but overall pretty forgettable in the grand scheme of things. the MC is pretty insufferable but given her circumstances in life it made it pretty easy to look past for the most part. i kind of wish the book would have been a bit longer and more fleshed out in a lot of areas, there were other characters in this story that would have made much better characters for the big reveals at the end.

Oooh I loved every bit of this book. Great writing style that flows when you read it. Characters were a perfect blend. And that ending!!!! Fantastic.

Thanks to the author, the publisher and Netgalley for an early release of this book.

This was really good! It kept me on my toes and had me second guessing everything from start to finish. I really enjoy Keeland’s thrillers, just as much as her romances!

Thank you so much for this ARC!

Okay, I was HOOKED and read 50% in the first sitting. Prior to picking this up I was in a bit of a slump but this quickly remedied that!

I typically enjoy books with multiple POV's, however, even though this was told through one perspective, reading the chapters from the mystery writer satisfied that need. Elizabeth was imperfect (obviously, she endured so much trauma!) yet human and her story captured me.

Traveling between NYC and Louisiana was fun as well as the few romance elements - very juicy stuff!

The last chapter - INCREDIBLE.

I absolutely loved The Unraveling and this is equally as good!

*SO many trigger warnings here*

I finished this book two days and I'm still trying to figure what to say. I loved this book from beginning to end. I was so invested in this book; I hated to see it end. One minute I thought I had it all figured out and then the next I was wrong. This book was so intriguing and had so many twists and turns, by the end I was flabbergasted. This was an amazing book, and I hope Vi continues to write thrillers.

Wow Vi Keeland did it again with another great suspense novel.
I really enjoyed this one. Even though the main female character drove me nuts at times, I thoroughly enjoyed the story. It kept me interested and engaged.

Elizabeth is a college professor who starts receiving chapters of a book that a student is supposedly writing. The problem is, the chapters detail exact events from Elizabeth's past 20 years ago that no one is supposed to know.

This book has some dark themes, and there were some parts that were hard for me to read, so definitely check your trigger warnings. Overall, this is an easy and quick read with a great twist at the end.

Thanks to NetGalley and Atria Books for the advanced copy to review!

‘An English professor’s deadly past comes back to haunt her in this chilling and sexy thriller from #1 New York Times bestselling author Vi Keeland.

Someone knows what Elizabeth did twenty years ago and her secret is about to be exposed, but who is the mystery student submitting the chapters? In an effort to find out, Elizabeth returns to her Louisiana hometown where it soon becomes clear that no matter how many years have gone by, she can’t escape her past.’

Seriously? My apologies, but is this book for real? The implausibility and nonsense and shallow characters..… it was just all so absolutely ridiculous and far fetched and laughable. It felt like a prank….! Damn.

Arc provided by Atria Books via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you. I’m always grateful.

Pub: 6.17.2025.

Need to get out of a reading slump? This is your book!
I just never knew where this wild ride was going to take me.

I thought the small town setting made the connections more believable but I would have liked more details to really grasp the feel of the area.

The only reason for the 4 stars was because I thought the first “reveal” needed a little more of an explanation in the letter and some details from the ending confused me slightly. Maybe I just need to sit with it all for a little longer to really understand.

I’m so glad I found this author and can’t wait to read more from her!

Someone Knows is a standalone title written by Vi Keeland.

*Child predator
*Reverse age gap relationship
*Story within a story

A psychological thriller involving a college English Professor, her dying mother, and the son of the man that ruined them both.

This book will leave you guessing till the very last page, wondering how it will end, and who really is at fault for the weird things going on in Elizabeth’s day-to-day life.

Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys psychological thrillers!

Thank you to NetGalley and Atria Books for the opportunity to read and review this title.

Someone Knows is the second thriller that Vi Keeland wrote. I read her first thriller, The Unraveling last year. I was so excited to see she had written another thriller! They both were so good! Once again I could not stop reading this second one! It was nonstop action. I’m not sure what I felt about the ending, but I enjoyed all the twists and turns throughout the book! Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC!
