This kept me on edge of the seat read. I enjoyed every page. Characters, the plot, everything was superb. If you are looking for a good thriller, this one was perfect.

Someone Knows is a wild ride. It started out a little slow but once you get into the meat of the story it never let's up. Vi Keeland knows how to write a thriller. Just when you have it figured out I realized I didn't. The character of Elizabeth was a fantastic woman that you could love or dislike. I don't read many books that I hate to see end, but this one I would have liked to read more of. I would recommend this to everyone I know. Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an advanced copy.

A dark, twisty, page turner from Vi Kreeland! Engaging main character, atmospheric location and a quick pace makes this the perfect beach read! The ending was a bit abrupt, but overall, I’d highly recommend Someone Knows!! Trigger warning! Themes of child grooming and abuse.

This is definitely a page turner! Elizabeth lives in New York and is a college professor. She starts receiving chapters to a novel, a thriller. It is telling her past. Her teacher from high school abused her friend, Joselyn. So Ivy and Elizabeth went to help Jocelyn and killed the teacher. Now somebody apparently knows. But who? This has lots of twists and turns! Great read! The end was a little abrupt and unexpected for me, thus the deduction of a star.

I loved this book the plot was good and had some great twists and turns. Elizabeth was a great character who you could relate to. I don’t want to give spoilers but the author has written a very good storyline and characters.

Someone Knows by Vi Keenland is a suspenseful romance that had my heart racing. Elizabeth, a college English professor, is grading assignments for a writing project, when she reads one that is eerily similar to a crime, she committed 20 years prior. Elizabeth attempts to brush it off as coincidence until the next chapter comes in. The twists and turns of this book had me up all night reading. I could not put it down. Just when I thought I had it figured out something would change my mind. I was shocked at the ending of the book. I need to know more! This isn't my normal read from Vi Keenland, I typically read her sports romance book, I will definitely be looking for more of her books like this. I am hooked. I devoured this book in less than 24 hours. I hope there is an audiobook in the future. I would absolutely add it to my list.

This book was dark and had so many twists. Every time I thought I guessed what was happening, the author threw in something completely unexpected.

This book definitely explored some darker topics. “Hannah’s Chapters” were definitely hard to read. I felt so much for Jocelyn and all that she went through. My heart felt so broken for her.

This was my first book by Vi Keeland, but it definitely won’t be my last. Her writing is so captivating. I could not put this book down. The twist at the end was so unexpected!

I definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for a binge-able thriller!

4.5 stars - a teacher receives an essay from a student outlining facts surrounding a crime that occurred 20 years ago. Who is sending her this and knows more than they should? I thought this was going to be obvious, but there were twists and turns that kept me on my toes and kept me guessing until the very end.

In her first thriller this author did an excellent job of keeping us in total suspense. So many twists with all the mind games. A twenty your old murder that has come back to haunt and torture Elizabeth. This was one fast paced drama.

This was my first book by Vi Keeland. Loved it!!!

This book was a wild ride—full of family drama, emotions, childhood trauma and suspense, with just the right amount of spice! 🔥

Being from a small town myself, I completely get how Elizabeth felt when she returned to her hometown. It's like everyone is in everyone else's business! This was written spot on!

The character development was great. I truly felt like I knew each one of them and why they were the way they were.

And Everyone is a suspect until they are ruled out. Just when you think you have it all figured out …. NOPE!

In this book, there were two moments that totally blew my mind, leaving me speechless—once about halfway through and again at the very end.

As I finished the last few chapters, I felt like I had everything figured out and knew who “knows” her secret, but then—boom! I was so stunned by the last few pages that I had to go back and reread the last chapter and make sure I read it correctly! Incredible!

So I love thrillers that have the ability to pull you in right away and this book definitely did!
It’s a fast paced thriller that was racing through the plot and held my attention.
However, I felt something was amiss with how the story unfolded, there was a lot of telling instead of showing like the twists were spelt out for us instead of letting us think and discover ourselves.
With a tinge of predictability, the book is written in addictive format which I enjoyed reading.

I was not sure how to feel about Elizabeth, the main character. Didn’t love her, but didn’t hate her either, but I did feel sorry for her.
This book was full of twists I didn’t expect.
The first twist that came a little over halfway was, at first, unsettling but it made sense. It just worked, and it ended up being quite a good book, I just couldnt put it down because I had so many questions I wanted answered. One of the twists was predictable but in a good way. Some things I wish had gone different, but it was a good book that kept me on my toes with good pacing, making me want to explore more of Vi Keeland’s work.

Someone Knows is the suspenseful creation of Vi Keeland, a well written and detailed account of a collegiate professor whose locked away past slowly seeps into her well structured present, with many twists and turns. Vi is a favorite, go-to author for me, and her foray into suspense/thriller is certainly gong to keep readers on their toes. My 3.5 star rating was simply my own inability to relax and enjoy the subject matter.

I love a twisty thriller more than anyone but some of the twists here seemed a bit too far-fetched and too contrived. It took me out of the story a few times. I wish the main character had been a little less... insufferable. Many thanks to Atria / Emily Bestler Books for this ARC.

First off let me say this is the definition of an author stepping foot outside their comfort zone and dipping their toe in the water of another genre.

Vi Keeland is known for her romances and I was certainly intrigued and pleasantly surprised by this new book.

I found the beginning slightly jarring due to the scene setting but once the author found her pace I was hooked. The chapters are short and snappy making you want to read on and on.

I enjoyed the addition of the students chapters they were really good however as emotive and hard hitting as the ‘book chapters’ were I can’t help but think maybe there needs to be a trigger warning link at the beginning of the original book so people have the choice to check what they are getting into before diving in to this story.

Overall I think this was a great book to introduce the author into this genre and I hope they continue to write more thrillers as I certainly would like to read more.

WOW!!!!! That's all I have to say right now after reading Someone Knows. This Book was SO good!! I was hooked from the start and I was so shocked by the end. I literally said "Wow! I cant believe it" when I finished the last page. *shakes head*
The whole time I read this book I kept trying to guess who "Hannah" was and I still was shocked by who it was. There were so many different people that "Hannah" could be and I just could not figure it out, (which is a good thing when reading a book), You don't wanna know who it is and want to be shocked.
This book is about a girl named Elizabeth who is a creative writing professor. She had students write their own type of story and one really intrigued Elizabeth, one that felt too personal and it was by a girl named "Hannah Greer". Elizabeth was in shock when she read the first chapter because it was about her. How could someone know her past? As more chapters came through by this "mysterious Hannah" she couldn't believe what she was reading. Someone knew about what happened twenty years ago... But Who and why were they writing about this?!

Like I said, I just had to know what was going to happen and who this mysterious person was. And let me tell you, if you read this book, You too will not want to put it down and need to know answers!! Such a great book. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS ONE!!

You guys, if you're looking for a really good spicy thriller, then look no further than Vi Keelands books. She's primarily a romance author, but her thrillers have been 2 for 2. I loved them both so much! The Unraveling was my first and absolutely my favorite.
This one seemed to have more of a slow burn feel to it, and the spice was minimal. In contrast to the Unraveling, which was fast-paced and had more spice in it. Regardless of pacing, this author KNOWS how to write a thriller with intimate scenes that will give you the best of both worlds.
I'd categorize this genre as a romantic thriller. [Heavy on the thriller]

Im going to need this as a physical copy for my shelf because I love Vi Keeland.
