The Last Trip was a quick read that I read in one sitting. It was engaging from the get go and the twists and turns kept me guessing

This is my first book from this author and I’m blown away! I’m not going to lie, in a 5 hour audiobook I was a little skeptical if there were going to be any real thrilling twists. I was TOTALLY wrong in those thoughts! So many little details throughout really tied everything together.

The book is told in two perspectives of the main characters in the past and present. I thoroughly enjoyed this writing style because it left me guessing to what was next each time. The overall experience was incredible and left me wanting more.

The narrators did a remarkable job bringing the story to life and conveying the stressful atmosphere and qualities of each character.

I would highly recommend to all my thriller loving book besties!

Thank you so much to Dreamscape Media, the author and NetGalley for the ALC of this book!

This book is a total rollercoaster! Calvin and Sadie head off for a peaceful babymoon in a remote cabin, but things quickly go off the rails. They get hit with shocking news right before they even settle in, and from there, it’s like the paranoia doesn’t stop. The homeowners act super weird, and Sadie starts feeling like she’s being watched. As the tension ramps up, so do the secrets, and the couple starts questioning everyone, even each other. The suspense is thick, and the way the story twists keeps you hooked—just when you think you know what's going on, another bombshell drops. It’s a fast-paced, nerve-wracking thriller that’ll make you second-guess every trip to the mountains!

I really enjoyed this book! Kiersten has done it again! This is a fun, relatable thriller! I enjoyed it from the very beginning! It was a little predictable but that didn’t bother me one bit! I was along for the ride!

As always, KMod delivers a fast-paced thriller that grabbed my attention from the start and kept me hooked. The twist completely caught me off guard, leaving my jaw on the floor - that’s exactly what I love about her books. She doesn’t rely on elaborate storytelling to pull readers in, yet nothing ever feels lacking, and this book was no exception. The narrators were fantastic! KMod and her team consistently choose voices that perfectly match the characters. Highly recommend!

The Last Trip is a relatively short audiobook at just over 5 hours but it is a fast paced story that grabs you from the start. The main characters are on their Baby Moon and it does not go as planned. The twists and turns are both unexpected and will have you thinking "What just happened?" I did not predict the ending at all. If you are tired of the ordinary this is the thriller for you!

Thank you Net Galley, Kiersten Modglin and Dreamscape Audio for the opportunity to preview The Last Trip. The opinions expressed are my own.
The audiobook is expected to be released March 4, 2025.

This was a super quick audiobook!

I flew through this in a few hours. I listened at 2x and it was the perfect speed. The narrators were great! I enjoy listening to both in audiobooks.

This was a twisty story that kept me wanting more. I was not expecting that ending. It was a bit far fetched, but still entertaining.
I did think the story would have more of a focus on the trip part of the storyline. I think a lot more could have been done with that.

I love K Mod’s books, she is such a great author.

Thank you NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for the Audio ARC.

First of all I am a huge Kiersten fan so I was super excited to get this. That being said a solid 4 stars this might be one of my top 5 books by her. I enjoyed the narrators and feel like they did a great job. They embodied the characters perfectly.

The book itself I loved. I loved the plot. The suspense. The main characters and did not see that ending coming!

The Last Trip by Kiersten Modglin
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
This is a super fun and exciting psychological thriller!
Calvin and Sadie take a trip to a cabin for a final baby moon/vacation before the baby arrives. However, It didn’t turn out to be the relaxing trip they were hoping to have. The couple who owns the place were very odd and kept coming over to the cabin.
There are lots of twists, turns and surprises throughout the story. I loved the ending!
This book is full of secrets, lies and deceit!
I was lucky to get to listen to the audio version and the narrator was excellent. This story is a fast and intense read. I was hooked from the beginning of the story!

Thank you to NetGalley for an audio copy of this amazing book.
*It’s out now and is a must read!*

I love Kiersten Modglin and this book, "The Last Trip", was a short(ish) novel. Thrilling and twisty right up until the end. Narrator was a good reader.

When you don't know who to trust, what can you do?

I loved this audiobook and I thought the narrators were great. And as usual, the ending was surprising!

This book was truly unbelievable and kind of ridiculous! But will I keep reading Modglin's books? Yes! 😆🤦‍♀️ It really did have potential, but was just laughable.

Super quick and entertaining read. Unfortunately this one didn't grab me quite like her books usually do. It started out strong, but as the story unfolded, it began losing steam. Yes, there are twists, but some of them were rather ridiculous. Overall, not my favorite Modglin read, but I'll continue to be a fan. The audiobook narration was very well done. Thanks to netGalley and Dreamscape Media for my ALC in exchange for my honest opinion.

Thanks to Dreamscape and Netgalley for this breathtaking eARC in audiobook format.

Everything about this audiobook/ novel is outstanding and a MUST listen /read for fans of psychological thrillers.

What begins as an engaged couple seeking a getaway trip before their baby is born quickly becomes so much more in true Kiersten Modglin fashion.

The narrator is a perfect choice for this compelling audiobook.

I was almost knocked out of my chair in shock by the twist and turns in this must listen audiobook, Although I am a huge fan of the author, this novel was my favorite yet.

Awesome book! Totally did not see where this was going at all but enjoyed the ride. So many twists I will forever read anything from Kiersten Modglin! Highly recommend! Thank you NetGalley for this advanced audiobook!

This was not good in my opinion. The last few books that I read from modglin have kind of been random. The random relationship between the females was not needed in my opinion. I normally love her twist and turns of the plot but they have fallen flat for me.

Ok this book was insane. I still can't believe what all happened. The entire time you're waiting for something to happen and then all at once everything happens. Sadie is so much stronger than I thought she was. The very ending was like holy crap did that really happen and then you are like wait that's the end. I need more I need to know what happens next. Such a good thriller.

I am a sucker for KMod. As soon as I see she's released a book, I know that I have to have it. This story did not disappoint. Typical of most of KMods domestic thriller this is short, sweet, and to the point. This one has two MCs, Sadie and Calvin. Calvin is a late 30s professor and Sadie is a 30-something student at the University. Told in alternating timelines (Sadie starting present and Calving starting past) we meet them as they are preparing to go on their babymoon and right away kinks get thrown into the works. I wasn't sure where we were going with this story, at first I didn't know if we were going to have a Watcher in the Woods situation or something else entirely. There were so many different elements that by the time the reveal happens you are and aren't surprised, then the ending. KMod and her endings like to turn everything on its head and leave your jaw on the floor. The narrators did a great job with their characters and helped up the suspense.

This was a fun twisty ride! I enjoyed every minute of this compulsive read. I love that I really had no idea what was going on. It’s hard to go into much detail without spoiling anything. Everything is so intertwined and comes together so well in the end! I love when the “bad guy” gets their just desserts.

The audiobook is great. I loved the dual narration. It worked so well with how the chapters switched between her and him. I also really enjoyed the past and present timelines as well.

If you enjoy a twisty domestic thrillers, then I definitely recommend checking out this audiobook!
