This is a multi-narrated audiobook which is part of Dreamscape Audios First collection where they release the titles as an audiobook before any other format.
To be honest, that was what pulled me in without reading what it was actually about except for the genre of Mystery/Thriller.

I’m glad I requested it as it was a fast paced engaging thriller!
I also enjoyed the teenage perspective as it gave a well rounded feel to telling the story. All three narrators did a great job with their recitations including speaking at a reasonable pace at the 1x speed.

The book itself was well written with a lot of twists and turns that will keep the reader entertained from chapter one.

The audiobook is out now!

I am thankful to have gotten the audio ALC for free from Dreamscape Media through NetGalley to read which gave me the opportunity to voluntarily leave a review.

My rating system since GoodReads doesn’t have partial stars and I rarely round up.

⭐️ Hated it
⭐️⭐️ Had a lot of trouble, prose issues, really not my cup of tea (potentially DNF’d or thought about it)
⭐️⭐️⭐️ Meh, it was an ok read but nothing special
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Really enjoyed it! Would recommend to others
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Outstanding! Will circle back and read again

Wow, what a wild ride! We follow the Yates family who is dealing with a horrible experience that their daughter is going through; all while trying to keep their 20 year old secrets to themselves.

There were several times in the story I was convinced I knew what was going to happen, only for Nicola Marsh to throw me another curveball. Overall, the story was a compelling, thrilling listen and the narrators were amazing.

Thank you Dreamscape Media and NetGalley for allowing me the chance to listen to this book in exchange for my honest review. All of my thoughts and opinions are my own.

This was an enjoyable read sucking me in from the first chapter. All of the secrets were written so well and the unravelling of it all was very easy to follow along with. The different narrators were perfect for each character and added more to the experience. The last bit of the book seemed a little out there, a little bit of a stretch, and a tad predictable. I still enjoyed this book and definitely will be recommending it to my audience. This author knocked it out of the park! Thank you Netgalley, Nicola March, and Dreamscape for gifting me this book!

Our Perfect Family by Nicola Marsh ⭐️⭐️⭐️💫

Respected high school teacher Austin Yates is a family man, but when his teenage daughter, Mia, is taken advantage of at a party and a photo of her in a compromised position is circulated to the class chat, Austin’s carefully controlled life begins to unravel. Family means everything to him—and he’ll do whatever it takes to protect them. Even if it means removing the threat.

For Kate, Austin is the man who saved her. She’s a good wife and doting mother. But when accusations against Austin start spreading through their small town, Kate faces an impossible choice: defend the man to whom she owes everything, or protect the family she’s sworn to hold together.

Mia just wanted to complete her final year at school. But an incriminating photo changes everything and as the world around her closes in, her next move could destroy her family—or save it.

In a town where judgment spreads faster than truth, one family’s secrets are about to be exposed. And not everyone will survive the fallout.

I really enjoyed this book! I got the #audiobook, so naturally as an American, I LOVED hearing the Aussie accents of the narrators reading it lol. The multiple POV, switching between the 3 perspectives, gives greater insight into each character. I liked the different and contradictory viewpoints, and various secrets are revealed one by one. There are also multiple mysteries unfolding, which made it even more compelling. By the middle of the book, I felt it was starting to drag a little and was wondering where it was heading, but the twist towards the end was unexpected! AND THE EPILOGUE! 👏🏼 Overall, the book is quick to get thru and worth the read/listen.

Austin and Kate live a good life. His family is wealthy so he can pursue a career in teaching while living well. Kate is a great hostess and they are happy together. Mia, their daughter is loved and cherished. She's a great kid and she's respected in school.

Then one day something terrible happens to Mia. And their happy family life becomes unfocused (great cover!) The reader becomes privy to one secret after another. So many lies and cover-ups. Who is telling the truth? Who is responsible? What's really happening?

Tremendous suspense story. I listened to the audio book and the narrator was great. Her pacing kept the listener not only involved with the story, but kept their heart thumping!

Thank you for this ARC! I loved the character development and was hooked after about ten minutes of listening. I kept thinking I had it figured out, but I never did. I definitely didn’t see the end coming. I loved the writing and dialogue. This was my first book by this author and I’ll definitely read more by her!

Niccola Marsh delivers a gripping domestic thriller in Our Perfect Family, a novel that masterfully unravels the facade of perfection to reveal a web of secrets, drama, and unexpected twists. From the outset, everything appears picture-perfect, but as the story unfolds, the cracks begin to show, and what lies beneath is far darker than it seems.

Marsh excels at building suspense, drawing readers in with a seemingly idyllic family dynamic before slowly peeling back the layers of deception. The pacing is expertly handled, ensuring that each revelation lands with impact while maintaining a steady sense of intrigue. Just when you think you have everything figured out, another twist comes along to keep you guessing.

What makes Our Perfect Family so compelling is its well-developed characters, each harboring their own hidden truths. Their relationships, motivations, and conflicts feel authentic, adding depth to the novel’s emotional core. As secrets come to light, the tension escalates, making it impossible to put the book down.

For fans of domestic suspense, Our Perfect Family is a must-read. Marsh crafts a story that is both entertaining and thought-provoking, proving once again her talent for delivering page-turning drama. After finishing this novel, readers will undoubtedly be eager to dive into more of her work.

A great domestic thriller about a family with lots to hide. Lies upon lies upon lies. Deceit, secrets, murder, revenge… Some twisted characters make things interesting. Watch out for the dropping twists I didn’t see coming! This book proves you never really know anyone, just what they want you to know.

I enjoyed listening to this ALC provided by NetGalley and Dreamscape Media.

Kate and Austin Yates' seemingly perfect family is shaken when inappropriate pictures of their teenage daughter, Mia, are posted online. Rumors are spreading about Austin, and Kate longs for the close relationship she once had with Mia. It turns out that things aren't so perfect in the Yates household after all.

I loved this book; it was easy to follow and was enjoyable from start to finish.

Average mystery novel with quite predictable plot twists. The characters lack a certain depth and the resolution is quite dissapointing.

3.5 stars

Unfortunately I didn't enjoy this as much as I thought I would. I felt it could've used some more "thriller" moments rather than it seem to drag. I really enjoyed the narrators though!!

Told from multiple perspectives within the same family, OUR PERFECT FAMILY explores the dangers of parenting/growing up in the digital age, and the extremes parents will go through to protect their families.

Premise - Austin and Kate are the parents of Mila, a high school student who’s the subject of a revenge porn attack online. While their family seemed perfect, on the outside at least, before the attack, everyone has secrets and the scandal quickly unravels the threads holding their lives together…

It was overall a very engaging story and the characters were believably crafted, but the three perspectives weren’t quite equally interesting and the pacing lagged at times. I found myself wanting to spend all my time in the Moms head, which isn’t too say that the other characters weren’t good, just that she seemed the most human/believable to me!

I listened to the audio ARC, narrated by Jodie Harris, Nikki Thomas, and Andrew Cutcliffe. A full cast read is always a treat and this was no exception! All three narrators are very talented and their reads shone equally. It’s a perfect accompaniment for a long flight/drive, a spring cleaning day, or a series of workouts (if you have the restraint to listen to this over a couple weeks rather than binging books in one go like some people *ahem, me*).

Thanks, NetGalley and Dreamscape First, for the audio ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Our Perfect Family by Nicola Marsh

From the very first chapter, this book pulls you in and doesn’t let go. The Yates family—Kate, Austin, and their teenage daughter Mia—seem to have it all together, but beneath the surface, secrets are lurking. And when rumors from Austin’s past resurface after nearly two decades, their so-called perfect family is pushed to the brink.

With tensions rising and loyalties tested, the stakes get even higher when Mia finds herself in a difficult situation with her classmates. Just how far will Kate and Austin go to protect their daughter and their reputation?

The suspense builds steadily throughout, revealing new layers with every chapter. I loved the dual timeline, which seamlessly wove the past and present together, adding depth to the unfolding drama. The pacing was spot-on, and Nicola Marsh’s writing made this an effortless, engaging read. I’ll definitely be checking out more of her books.

I also listened to the audiobook, and the narrators did a fantastic job bringing these characters to life.

If you love psychological thrillers packed with family secrets, tension, and twists, this one is worth picking up. Thanks to Dreamscape Media and NetGalley for the ARC!

Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this eARC in audiobook format.

The Perfect Family by Nicola A Marsh is a well written, clever mystery. The narration is top quality.

However, I need at least one likeable character who I can relate to who prevails, and the main characters in this story are at best, self-centered people who could care less about their supposed "friends". At worst, well, you will have to read the book.

Due to the high quality audio performances by the narrators, if you care to read this novel, which is a good psychological thriller if the lack of relatable characters doesn't bother you - I recommend the audiobook format.

This was a quick listen. It hooked me from the beginning and held my attention. It did give me YA vibes. It may have been because the teenage daughter was a narrator and a main character. I liked it but didn’t love it.

I cannot write too much without giving away spoilers, but Our Perfect Family on audio was a great read. It kept me listening for a day and a morning, and as a woman of a certain age with the newly developed attention span of a gnat, the fact I KEPT listening is a big plus to author Nicola Marsh.

Use of three narrators, Jodie Harris, Nikki Thomas, and Andrew Cutcliffe also helped tell the story because there was never any question as to the current speaker and each voice was perfectly chosen for the characters.

As to the plot, past and present, a school setting, teachers with very human faults, a marriage facing an empty nest future.....there is a lot going on in the book and I never saw the ending. Well done.

The Yates family has a perfect family image. Austin is a devoted family man and respected high school teacher. Kate is a good wife and adoring mother. And Mia gets top scores in school and is looking forward to university after finishing this final year of high school. When Mia is faced with a online attack by two boys at school, their perfect family image starts to crack. The perfect family has many underlying secrets in the past and they are about to be exposed.

Man, this book hooked me! First, I love a thriller with multiple POV and this one is told by the 3 family members. There are so many intersecting secrets and twists that keep you on your toes until the final reveal in the prologue. I didn't want to stop listening to this book and flew through it!

Thank you to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for the audiobook for review.
