I got accepted to review this book years ago, but unfortunately never got around to reading it. Apologies for this.

This was not book I enjoyed but I can understand the appeal...it just wasnt my cup of tea but I'm sure many other people would enjoy it

I read the Slated series by Terri Terry and really enjoyed it so I was looking forward to reading this book!
It was a really fun read (although a little confusing at times), and Luna was a great character. Looking forward to more stories from Terry!

INCREDIBLE! I couldn't get enough of Teri Terry and since Slated I've been hooked with her books, but this book was the same, I sped through it and then read it again!

Luna is an outcast, identifying as a Refuser, someone who doesn't plug into the virtual world that surrounds her. There is something strange happening to Luna though, a realisation that she is different and she may not need the Implant to see both the worlds around her.
The story is quick paced, surprising given the size of the book. The best part of the book is the world building within the virtual reality. They are described so vividly that you feel genuine fright at some points and awe in others.
The story propels you into the anti establishment rebellion fighting against PareCo. But in a world run by the companies in control of the very reality people live in, can you ever win?
Recommended for fans of Ready Player One and Warcross.

A good read but felt like Teri’s other books were so much better but that is just personal taste. The storyline was good with nice characters and some good twists

I loved the Slated trilogy. Though I really enjoyed this, it felt a little slow to start which might put off teen readers.

Please don’t let the double name scare you off, this novel is incredible. It draws you into the world of technology that you can imagine our world becoming in the years to come.

From the first page, we learn about Refusers, Implants, Virtual Realities and Worlds and PareCo. What we don’t learn in just how horrific the reality of these Virtual worlds really is.

The characters are absolutely fantastic, they could be your best friend, the growth of our protagonist Luna is huge, and being a part of watching her grow and learn about her past and her future is bitter-sweet.

This novel is one of my favourites for the year and I can’t wait to read more about Luna, Gecko and Hex and how they move forward past the monstrocity that is PareCo!

A Fantastic Read! Definitely reccomend to any Dystopia, YA, Tech fans!
