I received this as an ARC from NetGalley. I believe it is a re-release. I didn't know in advance this was part of an extensive series. I don't feel like I missed anything by not reading the previous books. Overall, I enjoyed this story. It moved along quickly, and kept me guessing. I would say, I believe a bit more could have been done throughout the story to ramp up the tension and uncertainty. I enjoyed the characters, and would be open to exploring more in this series. #netgalley #fiftyfifty #eddieflynn #murdermystery

“Fifty Fifty” is another thrilling entry in the phenomenal Eddie Flynn series. This time around, Eddie works a case where a father is murdered and his two daughters, both inside the house with him during the murder, blame each other for the crime. Twists and turns abound as Eddie and company try to figure out which of the two sisters is a cold-blooded murder.
This series should be required reading for all fans of legal thrillers. Incredibly entertaining and unputdown-able, and Fifty-Fifty is no exception. Highly recommended! 5 stars.

I read this as a stand alone, which made keeping track of some of the characters difficult (probably a me problem more so than the book’s). It was a good whodunit, with a lot of trial / lawyer speak.

Brilliantly written story! I loved every second of this book. I loved the multiple point of views and especially the "her" chapters. Filled with all of the emotions, it kept me guessing until the end. This book is a must-read!

The newest addition to this author legal thriller series. Great characters, courtroom drama, and the story is told in a way that hooks you from its first pages.

This is the fourth book I've read by Steven Cavanaugh and the third Eddie Flynn book. I read Thirteen immediately after finishing Kill for Me. Kill for You. Both of these books are 5 stars. So I have extra high expectations anytime I read a Cavanaugh book. While Fifty Fifty is a good legal thriller, it does not live up to his 2 other books. I was underwhelmed by this one. I was not surprised by who the killer was. I don't want to ruin the book for anyone with spoilers. Thirteen will probably always remain #1 for me in terms of Eddie Flynn books. I would have preferred more focus on Alexandra and Sophia than Kate and Bloch..

Thanks to Atria Books and NetGalley for allowing me to read this arc!
I had no doubt Steve Cavanagh would delievwr yet another amazing Eddie Flynn book! I was hooked from chapter one. Which sister did it? Wouldn’t you like to know???

Cavanagh has mastered the art of hooking in a reader. I have been reading this series out of order, yet I was still surprised and impressed by some events and how the narrative is shaped. I would recommend this series for fans of Karin Slaughter and Scott Turow, as Cavanagh also does not hold back in killing off characters (so don't get too attached/keep your hopes in check!).

This was such a fun book to read. I kept going back and forth, however there were definite little crumbs to figure out who the killer was. This was my first Eddie Flynn book and won’t be my last. He’s such a great main character.

Fifty-Fifty delivers exactly what you want from a Steve Cavanagh novel—high stakes, sharp twists, and a courtroom battle that keeps you second-guessing until the very last page. The premise alone is genius: two sisters accusing each other of their father’s murder, and only one of them is telling the truth.
Kate’s character evolution was a highlight for me. She’s always been a solid presence in this series, but this book really gave her room to shine. I also loved the added uncertainty in Eddie Flynn’s approach—he’s usually so sure of himself, but here, there’s an unusual level of doubt and distrust that makes everything feel even more intense.
And then there’s Clarence. Just—Clarence. If you know, you know.
One of my favorite moments was the courtroom scene with the hair expert—it had me dying. I also really enjoyed getting a deeper look at Bloch and Kate’s friendship. It’s always been clear that they’re close, but this book really let us see their dynamic in action, and I was all for it.
If I had one small critique, it’s that the phrase “flipping the switch” gets used a little too often when describing Eddie’s courtroom mindset. I get the point, but it started to feel a bit repetitive. That said, the twists more than make up for it, and Kate’s revenge at the end? Possibly the best part of the entire book.
A solid, addictive legal thriller—definitely one of the best in this series that I’ve read so far.

Steve Cavanagh adds to his series of legal thrillers with this tense, clever roller coaster. Sure to keep all readers captivated with the drama of it all.

Another Steve Cavanagh, Eddie Flynn book that I loved! I really enjoy the multiple perspectives, the great story telling, the legal insight and characters.
The only reason I didn’t give this five stars was because I had predicted who the killer was pretty early on.
Thanks to NetGalley and Atria books for the ARC.

This is my second book by this author and both are 5 star reads. I love how this author makes me constantly question everything I know about the characters or the situation. While I did guess where this one was going it didn't take away from my enjoyment of the story. If you like court room drama then definitely pick this one up. I highly recommend this and all of Steve Cavanagh's other books.

First, as always, thank you for the honor of reading this ARC in exchange for honest feedback.
Wow. Another winning novel by Steve Cavanagh!
A father found stabbed to death in his home. Two sisters with him. Both called 911. 50/50 chance on Eddie Flynn defending the killer. Was the con man conned or was he right in his claims Sofia is innocent? You'll have to read this book to find out because the twists keep going. I couldn't put this one down!

Steve cavanagh can do no wrong with his Eddie Flynn series. Every one of them is so expertly woven, with great twists and incredible characters!

This is my second book from this author. The story follows two sisters who accuse each other of murdering their father, with a lawyer named Eddie, who's also a former criminal, investigating the case. The mystery kept me hooked, with plenty of twists and turns that kept me guessing about who the real killer was.
I wasn't a huge fan of Eddie as a main character—he felt too smart, too aware, and too instinctual for me, which made him hard to connect with. The writing also felt a bit too on-the-nose at times. That said, the book does exactly what it promises: a legal thriller packed with twists. It’s fast-paced and suspenseful, making it a solid choice for fans of the genre. I’d give it 3.5 stars.

This was my first Eddie Flynn book. I read online that you don't HAVE to read them in order. But now that I have read one I think it would have been helpful to read them in order. The book had a fair amount of legal jargon that I would have to look up what the words would mean. I think if you worked in the legal world you could breeze through this book easily. But because I am not I had to really think about some thing or look words up and that slowed me down. Sometimes it felt like the book dragged on a but, but overall it was a good read.

I loved every second of this book. I found myself going back and forth between the two sisters over and over again. It was so well written and planned out. I had no idea who it was until the very end and was on the edge of my seat the entire time. One of the best books I have read so far this year.

Another amazing book by this author! It kept me guessing every step of the way, almost until the very last page. I loved the concept of sister versus sister in court and enjoyed the trial scenes and the character back stories. A few really Twisty surprises added to the suspense
Part of a series but can easily be read as a standalone .
Highly recommend.
