This was soo good. I was convinced I knew who the killer was the whole time and I was floored by the ending. This was a part of a series but it read well as a stand alone. I'm definitely going to binge more books by this author.

Another wonderful book by Steve Cavanaugh. Two sisters who hate each other are alone in the house with their murdered father...which of them killed him? Loved the two POV on this.
Twists and turns, just loved it!
Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC.

Two sisters arrested for the same murder and they blame each other! Courtroom drama at its finest! I cannot get enough of Eddie Flynn and this amazing series! I first heard of Steve Cavanagh when picked up “kill for me kill for you” and that was a 6 star read so of course I had to pick up his other books! So glad I did I hope he keeps writing these wonderful stories I can’t get enough!

I read this as an ARC reader and boy oh boy, I loved it. I felt like I was living like with the characters. I look forward to seeing what else this author has written!

Steve Cavanagh delivers another high-stakes legal thriller in Fifty Fifty, weaving a masterful tale of deception, psychological warfare, and courtroom drama. Defense attorney Eddie Flynn finds himself trapped in the ultimate puzzle—two sisters both claim the other is responsible for their father’s murder, and only one is telling the truth. But who?
Cavanagh’s signature style shines through in this fast-paced, twist-laden novel. The alternating perspectives between the accused sisters create a riveting sense of uncertainty, forcing the reader to play detective alongside Flynn. Every courtroom scene crackles with tension, as Flynn navigates misleading testimonies, legal maneuvers, and shocking revelations that make the truth increasingly elusive.
What sets Fifty Fifty apart is its ability to toy with the reader’s perception. The unreliable narration is executed brilliantly, keeping the suspense alive until the very last page. Just when you think you’ve solved the case, Cavanagh pulls the rug out from under you, delivering a finale that will leave you reeling.
A must-read for fans of legal thrillers, Fifty Fifty is a gripping, intelligent, and expertly crafted story that proves why Steve Cavanagh remains a powerhouse in the genre.
(A special thanks to the author and publisher for providing this ARC. It was a privilege to dive into this thrilling case before its official release!)

I’m not sure if all the legal stuff is factual but I still really enjoyed this book. Fifty fifty is a fast paced, legal drama/whodunit, with some great twists! I really like Eddie Flynn. He is a bit rough around the edges, but his heart is in the right place. This was my first from the series but I think I will pick up some more.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an advanced release copy in exchange for a honest review

Loved this crime thriller! I don't typically read many courtroom thrillers, but this one makes me think I want to read the other Eddie Flynn books in the series. His character is *chef's kiss* and the rest of the book's characters were very detailed and well thought out.
I was captivated by the storyline of two sisters blaming each other for their father's murder. Whenever I thought I had it figured out, another twist would get thrown in and I'd be second guessing myself all over again.
Thank you NetGalley, the publisher, and Steve Cavanagh for this copy of Fifty Fifty. Definitely read this one when you get the chance!

LOVED THIS!! This is exactly what I need in a thriller - I enjoyed every second of it. Definitely recommend!

Fifty Fifty started off strong, grabbed my attention from the beginning and kept it until the very end. Such a great crime/legal psychological thriller! I already loved the Eddie Flynn series and this book just made me love it even more!

Steve Cavanagh is quickly becoming a must-read author for me. I thoroughly enjoyed this one and he kept me guessing until the final pages. There is nothing I love more than a good courtroom drama and this one delivered in spades.
Sofia calls 911 to let them know her father has been murdered and her sister Alexandra is responsible. At the same time, Alexandra also calls 911 to let them know that her father is dead and Sofia has murdered him. Which one is telling the truth and which one is the killer? We quickly move through the story as each sister hires a lawyer and each lawyer believes in the innocence of their client. We move to the courtroom while each sister is tried at the same time for the murder of their father with the prosecution hoping to convict one if not both of them for the crime. With Eddie Flynn serving as one of the lawyers you know you are receiving clever courtroom dynamics including one scene that had me laughing out loud.
I highly recommend this one if you enjoy stories with a cleverly written plot, entertaining characters, strong courtroom and legal dynamics, and a satisfying conclusion. I will definitely be picking up the next Eddie Flynn book in the series.
Thank you to Atria Books for the opportunity to read and review.

I have been wanting to read Steve Cavanagh for awhile, and this was my first. I knew that it was part of a series, but enough exposition is given to not make reading the previous books a barrier to read this one.
I knew going into this that we would be dealing with at least one sister being manipulative. The two sisters both accused the other of murdering their father, who can be believed?
It was an interesting book with a few twists and red herrings. I definitely enjoyed that parts within the courtroom.
Looking forward to reading more by Cavanagh.

This book was perfection! I was gripped from the very beginning to the very end. I had no clue who had done it! Gritty, immersive, and oh so clever. A psychological roller coaster of a story with twists and turns that has you guessing to the end and constantly questioning and reassessing which sister killed their father and possibly their mother, an accident which is now in question. As new evidence is presented, more of the backstory is revealed, along with new murders in the present that heighten the tension in the story to the last word.
Five brilliant stars for this one. I can’t say anything about the twists because it would be easy to spoil this for other readers who haven’t delighted in this book already. Good sister versus evil sister. However, this was a cracking suspense thriller that kept me hooked, absorbed, and totally captivated and my favorite kind of thriller. I loved the intelligent way in which Flynn contests, and sometimes destroys the evidence and the so-called expert witnesses. I love his humor and witty retorts.
Thank you NetGalley and Atria Books publishing for the advanced copy of this action packed thriller.

Two sisters on trial for their father’s murder but they’re blaming each other, which sister did it and why? I gave this book ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️even though I couldn’t put this book down, the storyline was interesting. You won’t guess accurately for sure. It was missing something to make it to my ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Fifty Fifty is a wild ride. There are a multiple perspectives to keep track of, being that it is told from the POV of a handful of characters, but I see the intention behind it and it makes for a riveting story.
I tried to read between the lines and solve the mystery before the end, but I honestly wasn't sure if I was correct. Also, Eddie and Kate's characters are well written and I really enjoyed reading their parts of the story, but the true winner for me was the anonymous perspective of the antagonist. I was completely enraptured by those chapters and sometimes horrified at what I was reading, which made for really good entertainment.
While it was a lot to follow, I can appreciate a great author like Steve Cavanagh.
Thank you to Atria Books for the ARC via NetGalley! All opinions are my own.

Absolutely devoured this book! Was hooked from page one and spent the entire time going back and forth on who the killer was. There was also a part that really made me tear up and feel for Eddie Flynn because this man is just going THROUGH it! Absolutely loved Kate too and finally getting to see her introduction into the series, especially since I’ve only read all the books after this one takes place so far. Definitely another fantastic Steve Cavanagh book and will be reading everything he has written. An autobuy/autoread author for me at this point.

I love this legal thriller series! I haven't read them in order but love Eddie Collins and his legal team. In this one there are 2 sisters who were both at the scene when their Dad was murdered and both are blaming each other. They have never gotten along at all and now are convinced the other killed their Dad for his money and to get the other one convicted. As the trial goes along, witnesses keep getting murdered and this one will hold you until the end trying to figure out who did it! Steve Cavanagh is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors!
Thank you to Atria Books and NetGalley for the advanced reader copy! #fiftyfifty #netgalley

Fifty-Fifty is gripping, shocking, and hard to put down. I had to pick my jaw up off the floor at one point! Whew! Steve Cavanagh has wowed me yet again with his 5th book in his Eddie Flynn series. If you have not read this series, you are seriously missing out! Eddie Flynn is a con man turned attorney who relies on the skills he learned in his younger days to help him in the court room. In Fifty-Fifty, two sisters, Alexandria and Sofia Avellino, are both on trial for the murder of their father. Each sister is claiming that the other one is the killer. A HUGE inheritance and justice are a stake. I enjoyed this aspect of two sisters being pitted against each other. Both seemed believable and I enjoyed not knowing who could be trusted and who was telling the truth.
Eddie has always prided himself of being a good judge of character. He is representing Sophia while new attorney, Kate Brooks is representing Alexandria. Both Eddie and Alexandria believe that their client is innocent. There are also sections of the book titled "She" which allows readers to get into the head of the diabolical killer! This makes things even more intriguing and interesting.
This book was a hard to put down page turner for me! I loved the courtroom scenes and Eddie's insight and antics while defending his client. I also enjoyed doing my own super sleuthing while reading and kept changing my mind about whodunit.
This book has a nice amount to tension, twist and turns, not to mention the suspense which occurred near the end of the book. This book had a few shocking scenes, and I loved. This proved to be another wonderfully written, well thought out, and thrilling installment in the series. I can't wait to read the next book in the series.

Thank you to Atria Books and Steve Cavanaugh for my copy of Fifty Fifty. This book was about Alexandra, a woman who calls 911 in a panic because she found her father’s mutilated body slashed to bits and knows her sister just murdered him. This book was also about Sophia, a woman who calls 911 in a panic because she found her father’s mutilated body slashed to bits and knows her sister just murdered him. Both women call 911 minutes apart. And both women are accusing the other. But which one did it?
Now both women are on trial at the same time for the same murder. But who killed Frank? Was it one of the sisters? Was it both? One of these women is lying and one is exactly where she planned to be. One is carrying out a long planned murder and the other is being set up. But who is who?
Thoughts: This book was impossible to put down. This is my new favorite of his! It was the perfect blend of fast-paced police procedural and detective thriller. I loved the idea that it could have been either sister who murdered their dad and they both were so similar yet so different. They both creeped me out so much and I was rooting for both Eddie and Kate to be right.
I loved the chapters of “she” mixed into this story. All the characters were so interesting to read about and I felt myself rooting for all the good guys. I loved following Eddie as a main character in this series and this was my favorite book yet. I honestly didn’t know who the killer would be, and I can’t wait for the next one- 5 stars!

This book was very compelling and had my blood boiling but I had to see it through. Phew! I am hooked like hooked on phonics fr!

When I saw that this book was available for request on netgalley, I was so excited because I have heard such great things about this book. While I found it to have a bit of a slow start, once the trial got going I flew right through this book. What I appreciated about this book the most is I was truly fifty-fifty split throughout the book on which sister did it, Steve constantly had me second guessing myself.
