Another Steve Cavanagh, Eddie Flynn book that I loved! I really enjoy the multiple perspectives, the great story telling, the legal insight and characters.
The only reason I didn’t give this five stars was because I had predicted who the killer was pretty early on.
Thanks to NetGalley and Atria books for the ARC.

This is my second book by this author and both are 5 star reads. I love how this author makes me constantly question everything I know about the characters or the situation. While I did guess where this one was going it didn't take away from my enjoyment of the story. If you like court room drama then definitely pick this one up. I highly recommend this and all of Steve Cavanagh's other books.

First, as always, thank you for the honor of reading this ARC in exchange for honest feedback.
Wow. Another winning novel by Steve Cavanagh!
A father found stabbed to death in his home. Two sisters with him. Both called 911. 50/50 chance on Eddie Flynn defending the killer. Was the con man conned or was he right in his claims Sofia is innocent? You'll have to read this book to find out because the twists keep going. I couldn't put this one down!

Steve cavanagh can do no wrong with his Eddie Flynn series. Every one of them is so expertly woven, with great twists and incredible characters!

This is my second book from this author. The story follows two sisters who accuse each other of murdering their father, with a lawyer named Eddie, who's also a former criminal, investigating the case. The mystery kept me hooked, with plenty of twists and turns that kept me guessing about who the real killer was.
I wasn't a huge fan of Eddie as a main character—he felt too smart, too aware, and too instinctual for me, which made him hard to connect with. The writing also felt a bit too on-the-nose at times. That said, the book does exactly what it promises: a legal thriller packed with twists. It’s fast-paced and suspenseful, making it a solid choice for fans of the genre. I’d give it 3.5 stars.

This was my first Eddie Flynn book. I read online that you don't HAVE to read them in order. But now that I have read one I think it would have been helpful to read them in order. The book had a fair amount of legal jargon that I would have to look up what the words would mean. I think if you worked in the legal world you could breeze through this book easily. But because I am not I had to really think about some thing or look words up and that slowed me down. Sometimes it felt like the book dragged on a but, but overall it was a good read.

I loved every second of this book. I found myself going back and forth between the two sisters over and over again. It was so well written and planned out. I had no idea who it was until the very end and was on the edge of my seat the entire time. One of the best books I have read so far this year.

Another amazing book by this author! It kept me guessing every step of the way, almost until the very last page. I loved the concept of sister versus sister in court and enjoyed the trial scenes and the character back stories. A few really Twisty surprises added to the suspense
Part of a series but can easily be read as a standalone .
Highly recommend.

Steve Cavanagh has done it again with Fifty Fifty! This legal thriller is packed with tension, twists, and razor-sharp storytelling that keeps you guessing until the very last page.
Cavanagh’s writing is fast-paced and immersive, with masterfully crafted characters and unexpected twists that had me second-guessing my theories multiple times. If you love intelligent thrillers with high stakes and a shocking finale, Fifty Fifty is an absolute must-read!

“911 what’s your emergency?”
“My dad’s dead. My sister Sofia killed him. She’s still in the house. Please send help.”
“My dad’s dead. My sister Alexandra killed him. She’s still in the house. Please send help.”
One of them is a liar and a killer.
But which one?
Eddie Flynn is back once again, and this book can be enjoyed as a stand-alone novel. Every lawyer in town is eager to represent the sisters. Sofia chooses Eddie as her counsel, while we are introduced to Kate, a young lawyer working for Sofia's opposing counsel representing Alexander. Each attorney conducts their own investigation, believing they are representing their clients' best interests. The story provides insight from the perspectives of each attorney, client, and the investigation team. Additionally, we get glimpses into the mind of the killer, but it remains unclear who to believe. Is Sofia guilty or is it Alexandria? The book offers a 50/50 chance of guessing the truth, and you will ultimately discover who is truly pulling the strings. This is a fantastic legal thriller.

Sitting on the edge of my seat, sweating and nail biting. WOW. Another Eddie Flynn that does not disappoint. 👏🏻
*“911 what’s your emergency?”
“There’s blood everywhere. I’m in the bathroom. It’s my sister. She’s still here. I think she has a knife. Oh god!”
* “911 what’s your emergency?”
“He’s in the bedroom. She did this. It was her..”
Two sisters, Alexandra and Sofia on trail for the murder of their father. Both accusing the other of committing the murder. The ultimate trail to prove who actually did it.
This is one of the best court room books I’ve read in a long time.
It’s fast paced and keeps you pulled in the whole book.
The trail is absolutely fantastic, jaw dropping, wanting to hand out high fives to the lawyers.
Highly recommend!
THANK YOU NetGalley and Orion for the arc!

Two sisters found their father murdered and point fingers at each other. It goes to a joint trial. One of them is innocent. One of them is a murderer.
It was a story of rooting for the underdog between the accused and also rooting for the underdog of the lawyers. I couldn’t say with absolute certainty which sister committed the crime but in the end I was right. I wish it gave more clues for the reader to put the pieces together instead of revealing it at the end, and it got a bit dull in the middle. The last part of the book was the most thrilling and I flew through the pages.
This is book #5 of the Eddie Flynn novels. You can read them in order or as a standalone. This is the first I read of Eddie Flynn and really enjoyed his character. He is sarcastic, funny, and isn’t afraid to stand up to anyone. It brought some humor to seriousness of the case. Looking forward to reading more of this series.

Fifty Fifty is book 5 in the Eddie Flynn series, an ex-con man turned lawyer extraordinaire. The ex-mayor of NYC is found brutally murdered, and his two daughters are found at the scene, with forensic evidence linking both to the murder, and the sisters are blaming each other for his death. That’s the intriguing premise for this legal thriller that features a gruesome crime scene, riveting courtroom drama, and two polar opposite characters who point the finger at each other, and the reader is kept in the dark until the end as to the identity of the killer. This is another winner in this series, featuring Eddie’’s unorthodox methods, good characters, and an unusual plot that will keep readers guessing as you follow the clues and testimony, keeping you 9n the edge of the seat as you await a verdict, same as the defendants and attorneys. All in all, an interesting and entertaining read. I received an ARC of this book from the publisher through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

A high profile man is brutally murdered in his home and evidence links his two daughter - both of whom are accusing the other of the crime. Fifty Fifty is told from alternating perspectives from two defense attorneys and the killer, though identifying traits have been removed to keep the reader guessing which sister that is. I think Cavanagh was really clever in how he structured these two sides and then anchored them with the killer. This was an interesting mystery with a lot of character work, which I appreciated.
While this book can absolutely be read as a standalone mystery, it dropped enough allusions to the characters' lives past this single book that made me curious about the rest of the series.

Thank you to Netgalley for this arc of Fifty Fifty by Steve Cavanagh. This book had so many twists and turns, it was very exciting and thrilling to read. This is a psychological thriller about 2 twin sisters on trial for murdering their dad. There's two different 911 calls, one from each of them blaming the other for killing the father. This was such a good read, I can't wait until it comes out to get a physical copy.

“911 what is your emergency?” is a great way to start off a book and lets you know it’s going to be a wild ride which this book definitely was! Sisters blaming each other for their father’s gruesome murder leads their lawyers on a wild goose chase to figure out which one is guilty and which one is innocent. I like how the chapters titled “she” didn’t let you know which sister the chapters were about so the reader was truly in the dark the entire time. If you like courtroom dramas, Steve Cavanagh is your guy!

I always enjoy reading Steve Cavanaghs reads & this one was no exception at all! This was filled with tons of twists and I didn’t know who to believe or trust. Such a fun quick read and I flew through this within a day. Highly recommend!

Former New York City mayor Frank Avellino has been killed, stabbed fifty-seven times in a clear crime of passion. To add to the spectacle of this high-profile murder, his two daughters each say the other is the killer. Fifty-Fifty by Steve Cavanaugh follows the attorneys as they work to exonerate their clients of this horrific crime.
Told in alternating perspectives between daughter Sofia's lawyer, an associate that works for her sister Alexandria, and 'she' which is one of the sisters themselves though it isn't immediately clear which one. Fifty-fifty unfolds as a suspense filled, edge of your seat legal drama. I enjoyed the action, the characters were interesting and the mystery narrator immediately drew me in. Four stars.

✨Two sisters. Both on trial for murder. Both accuse the other.
✨While Attorney Eddie Flynn takes on one sister, Sophia, as his client, and Attorney Kate Brooks takes on Alexandra as hers, they battle out the likelihood of a joint trial and the possibility of the two sisters being pitted against one another if it comes down to it.
✨As was with the first Eddie Flynn novel I read, he is very entertaining and his character is robust. This was a fun whodunit with snippets of darkness from a twisted mind. Any thriller lover will enjoy this!
