This was a gripping thriller, which I was sucked right into. I was lucky enough to get both the ebook and the audiobook and do an immersive read. The narrators did an amazing job and kept me interested throughout the whole book. Recently, thrillers have been a hit or miss for me, and this was quite the hit. Make sure to get a copy on release day. Thank you to the publiser and NerGalley for the opportunity to read.

Another incredible thriller from Stacy Willingham!! I honestly thought I knew where this story was going and then I was completely wrong…there are so many amazing layers to this mystery and I was hooked from the very beginning! I loved the atmosphere of the isolated farm near the marsh in South Carolina, and the flashbacks to the past were so cleverly done! Such a great, binge-worthy mystery!

ARC review -

This was a gripping, atmospheric thriller that had me hooked from the first page. The Southern setting gave me major Where the Crawdads Sing vibes. I loved the use of dual timelines, which added layers of suspense and emotional depth without ever feeling confusing. The writing is sharp and immersive, and the pacing kept me flying through the pages. An engaging, tightly written thriller that fans of psychological suspense won’t want to miss!

This book had me hooked from the first page to the last. It is layered with mystery. The plot is emotionally gripping. I thought I knew exactly where it was going & while I was partly correct, the final twist got me. The writing style, the pacing, the suspense, the atmosphere, and the ending were all perfect! The narration on the audio is fantastic.

This book is my favorite from this author to date. I highly recommend to anyone who loves emotionally charged thrillers with a powerful payoff!

Thanks to NetGalley, Minotaur Books, and Macmillan Audio for the ARC and ALC in exchange for my honest review.

Forget Me Not is a beautifully written, atmospheric thriller that kept me hooked from start to finish. Stacy Willingham masterfully blends a haunting setting, layered characters, and a gripping mystery. The dual timelines and diary entries added depth and suspense, and the emotional pull of the story stayed with me long after I finished. A must-read for fans of slow-burn thrillers with a Southern gothic vibe.

This is primarily a thriller with some family drama woven throughout, and it makes for a great summer read.

It's wonderful in any season- it's one that you won't want to put down!

The story follows Claire, a grown woman searching for answers about her sister's disappearance 22 years earlier.

After a messy end to her employment in New York City, she retreats to her hometown in South Carolina to gather herself and figure out what's next.

Staying with her estranged mother proves to be too much to bear, so she decides to take a job working (and living) at the same farm where her sister worked the summer that she went missing.

The discovery of a hidden diary in her farm cottage leads Claire down a dark path of the farm's history, raising questions about what exactly is going on at the property.

For fellow lovers of a dual timeline, this one's for you! I loved the way the events of the past were presented through a diary; it helped draw you in.

Thank you to #netgalley for this ARC of #forgetmenot

Forget Me Not' was such a page turner, as the mystery of Natalie's disappearance made many surprising turns. Claire was certainly someone who deserved answers, and her summer stay at the farm was very eye opening! I enjoyed reading this fast paced thriller.

Stacy knows how to incorporate twists and turns, and somehow always leaves me guessing in a world full of thrillers I end up figuring out very early. The cult vibes storyline was interesting and she did a great job describing the setting of the vineyard. You felt isolated and a little trapped along with the FMC. The diary entries brought an extra element to the story, and I thoroughly enjoyed those chapters. Stacy is an auto buy author for me, and she has yet to disappoint.

Thank you so much to Minotaur for the gifted ARC!

I've now read all four of Stacy's books and I can say ALL of them have been fun to read, but this may have been the MOST FUN reading experience! I read it all in a 24-hour period and never wanted to put it down!

The plot was so unique, but the characters really stole the show for me. Some of them were mysterious, some of them were just downright creepy, but they all had me dying to know more about them! I couldn't turn the pages fast enough!

I loved the diary entries and they helped move the story along so well! Just when I thought I knew where things were going, I was thrown for another loop!

I hope Stacy keeps writing books for a LONG time!

Thank you to St. Martin's Press | Minotaur Books and NetGalley for the ARC! I LOVE Stacy Willingham's books. LOVE them. This one took me on quite a journey - from the get go I was so wrapped up in this novel. I couldn't wait to see where it was going to go and how it would all unfold. The twists made me gasp, the mystery kept me going and the journal entries had me hooked. Another success on Stacy's list!

I really enjoyed this. It is one of those books where you keep going back and forth on what you think is going on/happened a million times. It really kept me on my toes.

Started good, then became slow, until the actual mystery and weird stuff started happening, so give it time

This had me hooked with its eerie atmosphere and slow-burning mystery. I really liked how the story wove in an old diary and vintage photos—it gave everything this ghost-of-the-past feeling that made the twists hit even harder.

There were a few plot twists I totally didn’t see coming, which I loved. Just when I thought I had things figured out, the story flipped the script. That kept me turning the pages and questioning everything.

It wasn’t a perfect 5-star for me—some part felt quite similar to many other thrillers I’ve read—but overall, it was a super solid read. If you like thrillers that mix psychological suspense with dark cult-like secrets and a few surprises, definitely check this one out.

Stacy Willingham is a go-to author for me. I have read and enjoyed all of her previous books and she is very good at what she does. In this story, Claire, recently unemployed journalist living in NYC, returns to South Carolina where she grew up. No spoilers! This is a good story and I recommend this book and all of the author’s books.

Forget Me Not by Stacey Willingham is a beautifully written mystery-thriller in which Claire, a newly unemployed investigative journalist, has the opportunity to go back home to South Carolina. Reluctantly, she heads home to spend time with her mother while having to face her unresolved feelings about her older sister’s disappearance over two decades ago.

Claire finds herself in a position to work at Galloway Farms for the summer… doing exactly what Natalie did twenty-two summers ago. During her time there, old ghosts and a book of secrets reemerge on the farm grounds, and Claire has a chance to figure out if her sister is still out there and if this book is a retelling or a recount.

Stacey Willingham is one of my auto-buy authors. Her books make me feel immersed in every setting and experience every emotion that the main character feels: confusion, fear, anger, sadness, and everything in between. This haunting book gives small-town mystery vibes with a touch of cult-thriller. The twists are unpredictable, and while I thought I had it figured out, Stacey Willingham always proves me wrong.

Five stars for me!! I highly recommend this to anyone who loves an eerie, true crime-y story full of twists and turns!

Stacy Willingham’s work is always a win in my book. I have yet to be disappointed!
Claire finds herself back in her hometown, 22 years after her sister Natalie disappeared. While Natalie’s disappearance we deemed solved, Claire was never able to move on. She believed there was more to the story. While trying to figure out her own life Claire accepts a seasonal position at Galloway Farms, which happens to be the last place her sister worked.
There she finds an old diary belonging to an 18 year old woman with a story similar to her sisters. Reading that diary changes everything.
As Claire starts experiencing more odd happenings around the farm, many involving the family that own it, she dives deeper trying to solve a bigger mystery than she intended.

This book is a slow burn, but all of the pieces fit together so perfectly. Stacy Willingham has perfected the story building and slow burn!
Definitely grab this one!!
Thank you to NetGalley for a chance to read this ARC!

Really enjoyed this thriller. Stacy Willingham made you want to keep turning the pages and the suspense built up nicely.
Claire’s sister, Natalie, went missing 22 years ago and she is determined to figure out what happened. Claire gets a call from her Dad to go help her mom after her mom broke her leg. She goes back to her small South Carolina town, where she grew up, to help her mom, but her mom pushes her away. Claire ends up at a farm where her sister used to work to get a little extra money and see why her sister loved it so much.

Also posted to goodreads. Thanks netgalley for the arc! A flicker in the dark was one of my favorite reads in 2022 so I was very excited to read this one early. this is a solid 3.5 stars. I thought the author did a good job building suspense and questioning everything. It lagged in the middle and took me a bit longer to get through than I expected. I also was annoyed when all of a sudden everything seemed to click for the main character when it was so far fetched. Overall it’s a good mystery, but flicker in the dark is still my favorite.

I really wanted to love this book—but it just didn’t click for me. It felt less like a thriller and more like a slow-burn mystery, and not in the way I was hoping for.

I’ve genuinely loved all of Stacy’s previous work, so maybe my expectations were a little too high this time around.

Sadly, this one just didn’t work out for me.

I received this as an ARC - thanks NetGalley!

Overall, this was a good thriller. I did feel like the beginning was a bit slow. The end had a good pace and wrapped up nicely. I especially like the different perspectives of past and present. This was my first read by this author and I’ll be reading more!
