Great read!! It was quick and interesting! While some of the twists were easy to call, I still wanted to read to figure out what was going on. Her writing is always good at putting you really into the place and the story and that’s no different here! Really enjoyed!
Thanks so much to NetGalley and St Martin’s press for this ARC! Full release expected in August (perfect for fall Halloween season!)

Forget Me Not is another incredible thriller from Stacy Willingham who is fast becoming one of the best writers in the genre.
Claire Campbell returns to South Carolina from New York and begins to uncover the mystery and buried secrets behind her sister’s 20-year-old murder case as she spends time on the Galloway Farm and uncovers a diary from another woman who lived at the same farm her sister frequented.
Told through dual narratives of present-day Claire and the 1980s diary, this novel is incredibly well-paced slowly dropping in more details, clues and revelations that kept me guessing and changing my theories throughout.
Similar to “A Flicker In The Dark’ there are some strong domestic thriller elements in Forgot Me Not including cold cases, family secrets and a small town setting that gives the novel a phenomenal atmosphere and a real sense of life.
If you like dark and twisty thrillers with well-developed characters, you’ll love Forget Me Not.

Thank You to NetGalley and Minotaur Press for providing me with my 2nd ever ARC. I look forward to reading more in the future.

This story was good! A lot of twists and turns, something that I have learned to always expect from Willingham. The story was told from two POV and a dual plot line, Claire (happening in real time) and Marcia (happening in the past through journal entries). Claire’s sister, Natalie was murdered and Jeffery is behind bars for it… but Claire went digging and the so story unfolds.
This book took me awhile to get into (I can’t remember the last time it took me 10+ days to finish a book…), but between school, work, and ending up sick, I finally finished it.
Thanks to NetGalley and Willingham for the eARC!

Another great book from Stacy Willingham! She sure knows how to write believable characters with complex backstories.
The writing is fantastic (as usual) and the story has so many facets it makes it such a fun read with payoff from multiple storylines. My ONLY gripe is (spoiler alert being as vague as possible) that I wish the 1980s Farm sub-plot didn’t take so generously from the Manson family. It made it so much more predictable than I would have liked and I looooove a cult plot in a thriller.
10/10 will recommend (as well as Willingham’s other books).

This book was so easy to devour. Quick paced and with a setting that had me fully immersed. Secluded old farm, with cult like vibes? Consider me invested. The dual timelines and perspectives kept me tuning pages anxiously awaiting what would come next. While I did see where the twists were going, there were still quite a few unexpected moments. I loved how perfectly Willingham wove the events of the past in with the current storyline. It did end a little abruptly, leaving me with some questions, but overall I throughly enjoyed it. A great summer read!
Thank you to St Martins Press and NetGalley for the digital ARC!

This new book by Willingham explores the tangled threads of grief, memory, and the past. Claire Campbell's older sister mysteriously disappeared over two decades ago. Though the case was quickly closed, Claire feels something unfinished. Now an investigative reporter, Claire returns home to help her injured mother. She finds herself working at a vineyard. She becomes obsessed when she uncovers an old diary filled with cryptic entries and a haunting connection to her sister's final summer.
A legacy of pain and loss is buried just beneath the surface. The tension builds slowly, with Claire unraveling the diary's secrets and her fractured memories. Her troubled relationship with her estranged mother and the unease of returning home create a sense that history is repeating itself. This book isn't a fast-paced thriller but a tragic, introspective mystery that dives into themes of unresolved trauma and dangerous truths. Claire is complex, flawed, weary, and struggling with grief. It is an emotionally complex story that blends family drama with eerie suspense.

Forget me not was such an easy book to fly through. It was easy to get hooked from the first few pages. I loved the dual timelines & perspectives; it definitely kept the story from getting slow. The amount of plot twists at the end was shocking and nothing I could have guessed ahead of time. The only reason this wasn’t a complete five star for me was that i didn’t really feel a connection/investment with any of the characters until towards the end.
Thank you so much to Stacy Willingham, Netgalley, and St. Martin’s publishing group for the advanced copy!

I think this is Stacy Willingham’s best novel yet! I loved the mystery behind it and all the twists that I didn’t see coming!
5 stars!
Thanks for the copy!

Natalie’s sister went missing twenty-two years ago. She returns home to visit her mother, but then decides to search for answers by getting a job at a local vineyard—the last place her sister was seen. She finds a diary, which leads her down a rabbit hole, trying to uncover the truth of what was really going on at the vineyard and what happened to her sister.
Overall, I really enjoyed this book. It started out a little slower, but had many twists and a lot of suspense once it picked up. One small issue I had, which I often have with mystery/thriller books, is the fact that the main character decided to immediately just pop into the farm where *missing* sister last worked, and then got a job and stayed on the grounds with limited cell service. I know this is a fictional story, but that is just completely illogical and dangerous—and not what someone would likely do. That being sense, the book was suspenseful and had a feeling of danger that made me want to keep reading and held my interest.

Stacy willingham hit this one out of the park!
this book was paced so well, capturing me right from the first page and had me desperate to find out where the story would go. the twists and turns in this novel were NOT obvious, and kept me on the edge of my seat.
definitely a worthwhile book to check out if you like cold cases, complicated family dynamics and an air of something that feels a bit cult-y.
thank you netgalley for the arc!

Thank you Netgalley for an early copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Stacy Willingham is an auto-buy author for me. She consistently produces good stories that keep me guessing until the end. There's always something satisfying about her book endings too. Stacy writes everything so well making you second guess everything and everyone. I think the main character in this one was easy to root for. I wanted to know what happened to these girls just as much as her and I was loving her thoughts. Nothing is as it seems!

Thank you to Minotaur for the ARC via Netgalley.
I really wavered on how I wanted to review this one. I've really enjoyed several of Stacy Willingham's books, and this one was no exception. I found myself immediately hooked into the storyline, even though nothing particularly exciting happens right off the bat. Willingham has a knack for setting the scene in a way that makes you feel a little bit entranced and pulls you in. I found this book to have many of my favorite thriller characteristics-- fast paced, very immersive, kind of a nailbiter. I didn't want to put it down, because I wanted to know what happened. It was also well written. I appreciate Willingham's prose. The writing style is high quality and descriptive and this sets her apart from a lot of writers within the genre lately, which is becoming increasingly more devoted to thrills over quality writing.
Unfortunately, the book fell flat in a few ways, too. While the main character was not super likeable, that is pretty common for a thriller so that wasn't a dealbreaker for me. I just found her to be very frustrating as well, and that can make it difficult to be in her head. Further, I felt some of the ending elements to be a little outlandish and it felt like it wrapped up too neatly, too quickly. I didn't even realize the conflict had been resolved, as I was still expecting "more" to happen for the last 10% of the book, but then all of a sudden I was reading an epilogue. For that reason, it didn't feel super satisfying.
On the whole I really enjoyed it and will continue to read Willingham's work, but the ending knocked it down to a 3.5 stars for me, rounded up. I do recommend it, especially as we head toward summer, which is a great time for thrillers, in my opinion.

I think I am in the minority here, but this book was so boring to me. A pulse- pounding thriller??? No way. DNF at 33% because literally nothing is happening. I LOVED All The Dangerous Things, so I will definitely try again with this author.
Thank you to Netgalley and St. Martin's Press | Minotaur Books for my ARC in exchange for my honest review.

I love love love Stacy Wellingham and was so excited to see she had a new book coming out as I've read all her previous work. I was excited to be approved for an ARC, I really enjoy her ability to paint a great scene in my head.
There were a few questions I was left with at the end with the mom's involvement and knowledge of the whole situation .
4 stars

Thank you for the opportunity to read this ARC!
Forget Me Not was a fresh take from any of the other thrillers I have read lately. The writing itself was incredible, in terms of the actual language and descriptives, leaving me with high expectations from the beginning. I think the premise of the book as a whole and the nature of the group on Galloway Farm made for a very interesting story. I would not have anticipated the direction that this book was going given the description.
That being said, it started to lag for me in the middle. Many of the big twists were expected, and I felt as though Claire was too smart to have not seen them coming. The last 25% of the book was very compelling! I am not typically a consumer of thrillers, as I can often see the twists coming, but I did not anticipate some of the minor plot twists in this story, which was nice. I wish we got more before the epilogue, as I felt like the book ended quite abruptly. There was a lot more that I wanted to know about certain characters and their outcomes. I felt like this could have been developed further.
Overall, I would give this book 3/5 stars. If someone were to ask me for a recommendation, I can't say that I would recommend this book. That being said, if someone told me they were thinking about reading it, I would tell them to give it a go!

Claire’s sister disappeared two decades ago. While home to take care of her mom after an injury, she starts to dig deeper into the disappearance. When she ends up working at the farm her sister worked at 20 years ago, she starts to unravel details about her employer. Can she solve the mystery?
This book hooked me from the start and was devoured in one day. I found myself thinking about this one for days after finishing. Can’t recommend enough for anyone looking for a thriller that’s incredibly suspenseful!

Thank you #NetGalley for the eARC of #ForgetMeNot by Stacy Willingham
Forget Me Not is a slow-burn Southern thriller that blends family trauma, small-town secrets, and just enough twists to keep you guessing.
Claire, reeling from job loss and still haunted by her sister’s decades-old disappearance, returns to her coastal hometown. A summer job at a vineyard—and the discovery of a cryptic diary—pull her deep into a mystery that may connect to her past. The writing is vivid, with a strong sense of place, though the pacing drags in the middle. It’s a quiet build to a twisty final act that ties things up almost too neatly.
Claire’s paranoia and decisions don’t always feel justified, but her journey is compelling. While not as sharp as Willingham’s earlier work, this one is still worth a read—especially if you like slow, moody thrillers with a Southern gothic edge.

I really wanted to like this one more than I did. This was very much a slow burn for me & I’m not a big fan. Not too much happened until about the 45% mark but it still lagged a bit. I did enjoy the jaw dropping twist with Annie though, that one got me good. There were a few other good “oooh” moments that I didn’t see coming. I just think I’m not big on the whole “girl leaves hometown for years only to find herself back there” shtick. Overall it was a decent read, I enjoyed the ending, I just wish more happened & the actual cult had a little more of a presence.

I want to start this review by thanking NetGalley and Minotaur Books for the opportunity to read this ARC.
I was a huge fan of A Flicker in the Dark, so I was very excited to read something new by Stacy Willingham. I was not disappointed in the slightest!
The plot immediately hooked me and didn’t let go until the end. If I wasn’t reading it, I was thinking about reading it. The plot twists are so well done and keep you on your toes. I love when a plot twist isn’t super obvious but makes sense when you look back at all the hints throughout the book. The ending was satisfying, but I do still have a few questions. I think that’s why I’m going with 4 stars instead of 5.
Overall, I love this book and highly recommend.

Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin's Press for an eARC in exchange for my honest review. This story starts out feeling like many other "Southern thrillers" I've read. I was able to guess a few of the twists, although I wouldn't say they were easily guessable, I was just paying close attention. The plot was entertaining enough and I wanted to know what would happen enough to read the book in less than two days. There were a few small plot points that didn't feel truly wrapped up to me. All-in-all, not bad but not spectacular. A solid 3/5.
