This was creepy!

Fresh out of a job, Claire, who is still grieving the loss of her sister after 22 years, accepts a seasonal job at Galloway Farm. The farm may seem beautiful, but the lore runs deep and Claire is about to discover some very eerie secrets and that she's been tangled in a web of lies.

This was a decent thriller. It had a slow start and I feel like the punch was all packed up in the last few chapters. I did enjoy alternating between the present and Marcia's POV from the diaries, it made for a unique storytelling experience.

This book leaned more towards mystery with a slight thriller vibe. It kept me entertained and I was surprised by the ending. Definitely recommend. Thanks NetGalley for the arc.

Mystery + suspense
I really ate this book up!
The story unraveled at such a good pace & I was neverrrr bored, only more + more intrigued. Once we got to 90% mark, every chapter ending had me gaspinggggg! A sad, sad tale with such a satisfying ending.

I typically like Stacy Willingham's books, but this one was just rather ridiculous. There were so many coincidences that it was unbelievable. Character development was very thin and none of the characters were likeable nor did you feel like they had any depth.

This book is so atmospheric that I was so invested in this story of two sisters.

Claire returns home twenty two years after her sister’s disappearance. Claire’s dad asked her to help her mother who had a minor accident, but they clash.

Soon Claire is working the summer on Galloway Farms when being with her mother does not work out. This South Carolina Vineyard holds a past which is complicated, and the owners give off creepy vibes.

I can see this as a movie! The final twist was something I did not see coming, which is always a plus for me. Willingham is an auto buy for me and this one is preordered so I can read again.

Stacy Willingham delivers another twisty, atmospheric thriller in Forget Me Not, a gripping tale about memory, motherhood, and the secrets we bury to survive.

When Isabelle Drake’s toddler son is abducted from his crib in the middle of the night, her world collapses but that’s only the beginning. A year later, with no answers and no rest (literally she hasn’t slept since), Isabelle becomes obsessed with uncovering the truth. But as her grip on reality slips, the line between memory and madness begins to blur.

Willingham masterfully builds tension, pulling readers into Isabelle’s unraveling mind. The narrative alternates between past and present, creating a layered, psychological portrait of a woman on the edge. The writing is haunting and immersive, and the plot keeps you guessing until the final page.

Perfect for fans of Gillian Flynn and Lisa Jewell, Forget Me Not is a chilling exploration of trauma, guilt, and the lengths a mother will go to for her child.

I received a copy for review. All opinions are my own. I really loved the plot of this book and felt like I was right there in Claire’s shoes the entire way. I let out some gasps and was nervous at some parts and got emotionally invested. The character development and timeline jumps were really well done and made this easy to follow while still keeping me guessing at times.

Thank you to NetGalley for early access to this book! This is hands down one of the best thrillers I have read recently. Stacy Willingham books never disappoint, and this was no exception. The plot twists were truly unexpected. Definitely a must read!

Forget Me Not is another solid thriller from Stacy Willingham, and she does what she does best—keeps you second-guessing everything and everyone. It’s slower than some of her previous books, but in a way that builds tension rather than dragging. The story revolves around grief, memory, and the weight of what we choose to forget, and I found myself way more emotionally invested than I expected going in.

The atmosphere is heavy but never boring, and the unreliable narrator angle is done really well—there’s just enough doubt to keep you off balance the whole time. I didn’t totally love every twist, but the way it all came together still hit. If you liked All the Dangerous Things or A Flicker in the Dark, this one fits right in—moody, character-driven, and quietly haunting.

4.5 ⭐️ This was a great southern thriller!!! More than one twist that I didn’t see coming and the writing kept me on the edge of my seat. If I hadn’t been so busy this past month I would have finished this in 3 days tops.

There are multiple stories happening, which could potentially get confusing if you aren’t paying close attention but I loved how they all came together! I didn’t want to put this down!

Thank you NetGalley, St. Martin’s Press/Minotaur Books, and the author for the free copy of this book!

I love a good cold case murder mystery. I’m a big Stacy Willingham fan and couldn’t wait to read this new one of hers. Even though I was surprised by her last book Only If You’re Lucky as I didn’t enjoy it, and found it boring and hated the characters. Was hoping this one would fit the vibe of her other books more and it definitely didn’t disappoint!

It was slightly slow in the beginning but not in a bad way. A good slow burn start. And by 50% in I couldn’t put it down. I loved how the book sort of had a dark eerie vibe to it with the isolated farm. And the characters had so much depth.

I’ve always been a fan of books when they have flashbacks through journal entries too. The thing is, this one was unique in that the journal entry chapters weren’t really journal entries. They were like 3rd person told stories from the time of said journal entry. Like you were stepping into the moment as a fly on the wall that our FMC is reading about from said entry. Which threw me off at first but then it kind of added to the haunting atmosphere of the book. Some people might not like that but I ended up enjoying it.

The last 25% of this book was just a whole lot of fast paced plot twisty somewhat emotional punches and I loved every second of it! Sure a few things were predictable but some were not. Great binge-worthy read!

As Claire delves back into the mysterious disappointment her sister via an old diary the story takes on many twists and turns. Very enjoyable thriller with well-developed characters.

I really was hooked from the description of this book and have previously really liked her work. This one took a little bit for me to get into and I felt like the last hundred pages or so we’re the best part but overall a solid read for the summer that I would recommend.

Forget Me Not is a gripping thriller from start to finish that will have you turning the pages rapidly.

The atmosphere is perfect in this Southern thriller and you can feel the heat and humidity.

Claire a free lance journalist returns home to help her mom and discovers an undeveloped film roll belonging to her murdered sister.

She takes a job where Natalie once worked and having found a diary stowed away the journalist in Claire decides to investigate.

There is a relentless mix of secrets and lies, missing women and twists that will shock you.

Forget Me Not is the perfect summer read ( or anytime really) to get immersed but be warned its hard to put down.

Thanks to NetGalley and St Martin's Press/Minotaur Books for the privilege to read and review Forget Me Not.

Stacy Willingham is an auto-read for me. The twists are always the twistiest.
This one wasn't my favorite of hers, but I loved the diary aspect of it and seeing the two perspectives. The twists this time were a bit more predictable but it was still a solid read.

This is my first Stacy Willingham book and I will be at the book store on release date. this book was all parts mysterious, cruel, enticing and WTF? I was engaged from the first chapter. I really only had one theory but it was until chapter 39 that I really had any other theories, for me that is rare. this book threw me for a loop! Chapter after chapter I was more and more intrigued! if you want a page turner, a book that makes you think and a book that literally makes you gasp pick this one up!

this book is best going in blind but it gives very much small town cult vibes, finding yourself and learning fully about yours and your families past. so so so good! thank you NetGalley for this arc!

𝑩𝑶𝑶𝑲 𝑹𝑬𝑽𝑰𝑬𝑾 FORGET ME NOT by Stacy Willingham
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Claire is a freelance investigative crime reporter in NYC who is struggling to nail down any new leads and to make ends meet. Estranged from her family following the murder of her older sister, she is caught off guard by the sudden need to return home to South Carolina, where she will be forced to confront the traumatic memories of her past. But after landing a position on the same farm where her sister was employed, she unearths long buried secrets that create more questions than answers.

I’ve read all of Willngham’s books and this one really reminded me of how stunning her writing is! It is a bit of a slow burn, but I was still drawn in by her prose alone and couldn’t put it down. It was eerie, tense, and full of unexpected turns. I do feel like there were a few relationships that were left pretty unexplored which I think hindered some of the emotional connection that was present in her two earlier books. I almost never do this, but I actually went back and added a star to A Flicker In The Dark (4 to 5!) because I realized I always reference it as one of my favorite books!

Claire returns home to help her mom after she had an accident, but realizes it is just too difficult to be in the house where her sister disappeared 22 years ago. After only one night she decides to leave after finding a summer job at Galloway Farm, the place her sister worked before she disappeared. Not long after she arrives and get settled into the guest house, where she will be staying for the summer, she finds an old diary hidden in an air vent. The diary is from an 18 year old girl that seems to have a very similar story to her sisters and you realize something sinister is happening at Galloway Farm.

As always Stacy Willingham weaves a perfectly written story with just the right amount of eerie tension to keep you turning the page. There are some twists thrown in that will keep you guessing on what is actually going on at that farm and what happened to Claire's sister. There appears to be eyes watching everywhere and those who you think are your friends may not be at all. The only downfall with this book is that there were times when it did seems to move slowly but it didn't take away from the overall aspect of this book.

Thank you NetGalley and Minotaur Books for an ARC in return for an honest review.
