Wow! What a ride! So many twists and turns that I did not see coming. I am still in shock with how the story ended.

I really enjoyed how the author was able to create a compelling and complicated story while focusing on one person’s perspective as they slowly pieced everything together. After reading many dual POV books lately, this was a nice change of pace.

Claire is the main focus of the story. Her grief of her sister’s tragic death and how she continues to deal with it, 20 years later, feels very real. Who wouldn’t want answers?

I find that I am enjoying Stacy’s books more and more with each one I read. Now I’ll be going back to read Only If You’re Lucky as it’s the only one I haven’t read.

This is a solid four star read for me! If you are looking for a suspenseful thriller, I highly recommend reading this one!

This book was so gripping and well-written that I finished it in practically one sitting, unable to do anything else until I figured out what really happened to Natalie Campbell. Claire was a great narrator and I enjoyed piecing together the mystery alongside her. This book really embodied "there's more than what meets the eye" and I was enraptured by the creepy setting of Galloway Farm and its unnerving cast of characters. There were so many great twists that had me gasping and it all came together in a very satisfying ending. I can't wait to recommend this to all of the mystery lovers in my life, as well as read Stacy Willingham's back catalogue!

I've read other books by Stacy Willingham, and was hoping that this would bring me on a similar ride with twists and turns and shocks and surprises. This...was not like the others. I found the first half of the book excruciatingly slow and most of the "twists" were fairly predictable. I was pretty disappointed with this.

Forget Me Not is full of twists that you are not expecting! When Claire Campbell returns home after 20, memories from the summer her sister disappeared come flooding back. After one night at home with her mother, Claire realizes that she can't stay there but she can't go back to New York. She finds herself at Galloway Farms and ends up taking a seasonal job. As her past comes roaring alive, she wonders if she will make it out alive.

Forget Me Not - Stacy Willingham
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.25
If you haven’t checked out any of Stacy Willinghams previous books, you should, especially since Forget Me Not does not come out until August 26th. Thank you to NetGally and St. Martin’s Press/Minotaur Books for this ARC.
Claire has never recovered from the disappearance of her older sister, Natalie, which occurred 22 years ago. After receiving a call from her dad asking her to return home to assist her mother, Claire return home. While at home, she becomes invested in her sister’s disappearance again, taking a job at Galloway Farms, the last place her sister worked. During her time there, Claire discovers a diary that captivates her with its accounts of various unsolved crimes that have taken place.
This book contained multiple jaw-dropping plot twists. Although it started off slowly, I became completely engrossed by the time I reached about 40%. The twists, turns, and chaos captivated me until the very last page. If you can endure a bit of a slow burn I 100% recommend picking up the latest work from Stacy Willingham. #netgally #stmartinspress #minotaurbooks #forgetmenotbook #stacywillingham #bookstagram

I did not put too much stock into this book before reading it but it surprised me. There was a great story, a good mystery, and just enough of both to keep me hooked and surprised.

Thank you Netgalley for this ARC.
I am a huge of Stacy Willingham so when this hit my kindle, I was so excited to see how she was going to blow my mind.
The beginning was a little slower than what I am used to from Stacy in writing but if you can push through to about 40%, there is no going back. The absolute chaos, twists & reveals at the end are worth every single second of this book. My jaw was literally ON THE FLOOR, speechless. I couldn't sleep until I finished the book because I did not see that coming. The puzzle pieces that are laid out over the book that then become to create the bigger picture is beautifully done!

A simple request from her father, to help her mother heal from an accident, brings Claire to her hometown. Decades prior her big sister Natalie left without a trace. Even though there is a someone in jail for the crime - no body means no closure.

The story moves from present day grief to past events being examined and surprising secrets uncovered. It was a wild ride with the story line tightly wrapping up to a surprising ending.

It was hard to put down & another excellent story from Stacy Willingham.

Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC!

This book was a quick read. Her first two books were five stars for me. This one just didn't come close.

4.8 stars (rounded up) - Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for an ARC of ‘Forget Me Not’ by Stacy Willingham. This was my first book by Stacy Willingham (even though the rest of her titles have been sitting on my TBR for ages), and I can confidently say it won’t be my last—I’ll definitely be diving into the rest of her work.

Wow. Just… wow. This story completely pulled me in. Stacy’s writing is captivating—clean, emotionally rich, and incredibly readable. The chapters are short and well-paced, the character development is strong, and even with a fairly large cast, it never felt confusing or overwhelming.

The last 60% of the book? I devoured it. There were twists—some I saw coming, others genuinely shocking—but one in particular had me yelling "Oh my God" out loud at 12:30 a.m. (yes, I woke my husband up—oops haha). And just when I thought I was done being surprised, another jaw-dropper hit me around 88%.

The ending was beautifully executed, wrapping up most threads in a satisfying and thoughtful way. There was just one small detail that remained a bit ambiguous for me, but honestly, it didn’t detract from the overall impact.

All in all, 'Forget Me Not' is a gripping, twist-filled thriller that cements Stacy Willingham as an author I absolutely want more from.

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC!

Stacey always does it sooo good. I haven’t read a book by her I haven’t been sucked in from the beginning. She knows how to write a thriller and this one was no different!

What a gripping tale. From the very beginning of the story I was unable to put it down. After being passed over for a promotion, Claire, decides it’s time to quit her job and work freelance. Her dad calls her and lets her know she needs to come home to help her mom.

She hasn’t been back for almost twenty years. Twenty-two years ago her sister, Natalie, disappeared and was presumed murdered after a bloody shirt was found. Her murdered is sent to prison and that should be the end of the story. Right? Wrong.

Claire starts her quest to find out exactly what happened to Natalie. There are many twists, turns, and edge of your seat moments. Most of which I didn’t see coming.

Thank you NetGalley and St. Marten’s Press for the advanced copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

Willingham is usually a surefire 5 star for him- while the last 40% might have near d that territory, the first 30% was very nearly DNF for me: Too slow of a slow burn!

I’ve read all of this author’s books and this is her fourth novel I believe. I would say Flicker in the Dark has been my favorite and Only if You’re Lucky would be my least favorite. This one fell somewhere in the middle for me. I mostly enjoyed it, but the pacing was definitely on the slower side. I also found the final explanation to be a bit convoluted and it seemed like the main character could make connections that were totally random and found clues that were fairly obscure as well, particularly for the age of the case. I did suspect one of the twists, but some of the others really took me by surprise. The setting and atmosphere were excellent. This is a good book to read during the summer - the heat just jumped off the page. The story was well written as well. I’ll definitely keep an eye out for this author’s next thriller.

I am very conflicted as to what to rate the book and what my review should be. On one hand I really enjoyed some parts, and on the other hand some parts of the book really ticked me off, and I ended up being disappointed.

Let me start off with what I liked and enjoyed:
- Book within a book trope
- Past and present timelines
- Parts that kept me in suspense

What I didn't like
- The story felt like it was going here there everywhere at some point
- The POV switches got really confusing at some point and it was hard to keep track

Based on all my thoughts and how I feel, I have decided to settle on a 3.25-star rating. If my thoughts change as time goes on, I'll update my rating.

Willingham’s best book yet! A slow start, but once this story gets going, it is truly unputdownable.
