Excellent character development and an intriguing plot line show along with an atmospheric setting made this book unputdownable. Stacy Willingham always delivers, and I look forward to her next book.

Stacy Willingham the woman that you are!! Another knockout thriller set in coastal SC.
What I loved most about this book is how well the story flows, and how all the little breadcrumbs lead to a perfectly woven story. I was so curious the whole time about what Claire would uncover at the farm, and if you gave me 10 guesses I would not have guessed the outcome. Every detail of this story was so important. The reader is constantly uncovering things alongside Claire both in present day and via diary entries from the 80s, which made me feel like I was right there with Claire.
A huge thank you to St Martins Press/Minotaur Books via NetGalley for an eARC of one of my most anticipated reads of the year! Forget Me Not is available 8/26!

Holy cow.
I love a good thriller that has me curious and uncomfortable, but not terrified or grossed out. This one did a great job with that. It did feel slow at the beginning, but I understand that it takes time sometimes to lead into the harrowing parts.
I swore I knew who did what, and who was who. I was sorely mistaken. It did feel like cheating to give us key information (eye color, IYKYK) at the very end as the main character figures everything out; that could’ve helped us figure things out sooner too. But, it was fun to figure stuff out “in the moment” with Claire.
I swapped back and forth between reading the ebook and audiobook. The narrator did a fantastic job.
Thank you, NetGalley, St. Martin’s Press, and MacMillan Audio for the ebook and audiobook ARC in exchange for my honest opinions.

“Forget Me Not” is a slow-building suspense novel with several twists along the way. At its very core, the story focuses in on a decades-long mystery and one woman’s resolve to sift through a myriad of secrets and lies surrounding the puzzling disappearance of several young women—her older sister included.
As the story unfolds, the “voice” of one of the missing is spoken through a series of journal entries, clues that lead the protagonist on a journey of discovery and danger. Slowly, all of the pieces finally fall into place, revealing a truth I hadn’t seen coming.
With it’s intriguing characters and compelling storyline, this was definitely a 5-star read for me!

Thank you NetGalley for sending me a ARC of “Forget me Not” by Stacey Williamham. This author always knows how to pull me in with her stories! I flew through the book in a few days, which is fast for me as I’ve been in a book slump lately. I really enjoyed the pacing of the story, however was able to guess the majority of the plot twists & wasn’t a fan of the “cult”element, which ruined it a tiny bit for me. While I’m aware of the correlation of the topic to the 1980s storyline, it just felt overdone and not super original. I also was not a fan of the main character’s impulsivity but that’s also the journalist in her! Overall, a solid read and I look forward to future projects by this author!

Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC and Libro.fm for the audiobook, I got to read Stacy Willingham’s upcoming thriller. There is something special about the way Stacy tells a story and has all the pieces come together. I liked the main character Claire’s storyline and found myself looking forward to getting the next chapter out of Marcia’s diary. Even though I thought I had this figured out, I found myself surprised multiple times. Overall, a solid and enjoyable thriller

I LOVE Stacy Willingham books, so I was excited to dive into this one! It did not disappoint! A HUGE thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin's Press | Minotaur Books for the ARC!
I appreciate the way Willingham is able to draw readers in with little snippets of clues here and there... the coolest part is we aren't ever fully sure what that might be! This book was a quick read, and it was filled with twists and turns that left me guessing all the way up to the very end! Fantastic read! 4.5* all the way! =]

I don’t think I’ve ever read a Stacy Willingham book in more than two sittings, and this was no exception! I blew through this in about 4.5 hours. Stacy is a master at drawing you in and leaving the slightest clues along the way to help you along without spoiling the twists, and boy, I thought I had this one figured out, and I was so very wrong! The diary aspect with Marcia’s journal flip-flopping with Claire’s present day and memories of Natalie and her mother played very well together, and the timing added to the creepy atmosphere of the story. The reason I gave this one four stars instead of five, like the other books by this author, was because although I enjoyed it and had fun and loved the twists, it moved slow for me. I didn’t find myself getting super invested until I was about 40% in, and for thrillers, that was too long for me. But all in all, this was atmospheric, chilling, and suspenseful, and I would absolutely recommend it!

A huge thank you to NetGalley for this Advanced Readers Copy! 🥰
This book had me on the edge of my SEAT! I couldn’t wait to see what was going to happen next and I wanted to figure out what happened to Natalie, too. The amount of twists, turns and revelations had me shocked. The pacing through the book was satisfying, and more importantly I really enjoyed each time we got to read that diary.
Stacey Willingham has a talent in how she writes books. This is my first from this author and I can’t wait to read more.

ah, the cover art makes so much sense by the end! i really enjoyed how this story panned out, starting from confusion and then picking up more and more pieces with every chapter. i adore when books change POV and time, especially through journal entries - it really makes you feel like you’re in that moment. very happy with how it turned out, a few surprises! stacy has a wonderful, easy to read style of writing.

I enjoyed this one! Willingham tends to have a slower pace in her books but in this case, I thought that worked really well to establish the nostalgic feeling of Claire being back in her hometown/at Galloway farm and build the sense of wrongness hiding underneath the idyllic surface. I absolutely shared Claire's need to figure out what happened to her sister all those years ago, and the rate at which the reveals/twists occurred was perfect to keep me hooked! I figured out a couple of major twists but still very much enjoyed the ride.
I actually started reading the ebook of this, but when I realized it was narrated partly by Karissa Vacker, I requested the audio and switched 🤭. I really enjoy her narration and feel like the way she reads helps build the tension! Both narrators for this audiobook were excellent.
CW: adult/minor relationship, murder/death of a minor, gun violence, confinement.
Thank you to Minotaur books, St-Martin's Press, MacMillan Audio, and Netgalley for the ARC and ALC copies for review. All opinions are my own.

This was an interesting mystery story about a girl whose sister goes missing and is presumed dead. Many years later so tries to uncover what really happened.

Thriller — 4⭐️
Years after her sister’s mysterious disappearance, Claire Campbell returns to her hometown and takes a summer job at a nearby vineyard—only to uncover dark secrets hidden in an old diary.
I’ve been reading fewer thrillers lately, but I knew Stacy Willingham would be worth the exception. I devoured Forget Me Not in one sitting on a rainy morning with a cup of coffee, completely hooked from the start.
My favorite part was the tense, atmospheric prose that captures the haunting eeriness and hidden past of the vineyard and those who live there.
I didn’t find the twists predictable—though I’ll admit, I’m usually terrible at guessing them anyway—but that just made my reading experience that much more enjoyable.
Thank you @minotaur_books for the #gifted copy. FORGET ME NOT comes out 8/26

Thank you to NetGalley, St. Martin’s Press, and Stacy Willingham for this ARC of “Forget Me Not” out August 26, 2025!
This new thriller by Stacy Willingham had so many twists and turns that I did not see this ending coming! An investigative journalist, Claire Campbell, returns home decades after her sister’s disappearance, only to uncover unsettling secrets tied to a nearby vineyard. What begins as a quiet summer job spirals into an obsessive hunt for the truth when a hidden diary hints her sister’s case may not be as closed as it once seemed.
⭐️Overall Rating: 4.5 stars

I am a huge fan of Stacy Willingham & this book did not disappoint.
It was a little bit of a slow start but when it started picking up, it left me sitting on the edge of my seat trying to figure out what happened! I was not prepared for how the story unfolded! I loved it!
Thank you NetGalley & St. Martins Press for this ARC for my honest review.

I’ve read and really enjoyed three of Stacy Willingham’s previous books, so I was excited to dive into Forget Me Not. While the pacing felt slower than her earlier work, it still delivered the layered drama and unexpected twists she’s known for.
The story follows Claire Campbell, a young woman down on her luck. After returning home to care for her injured mother, she overhears her mother say that her help isn’t wanted. Claire takes off and lands at a remote vineyard, which happens to be the place her sister worked 22 years earlier, before she was murdered. As Claire digs into the past, the story shifts from a simmer to a storm, with breadcrumb trails and tangled plotlines snapping into place in chaotic and compelling ways.
Overall, it’s a solid read with strong emotional threads and a twisty payoff—just not my personal favorite from Willingham’s collection. Still grateful for the ARC and always happy to step into her moody, suspenseful worlds.

📖 I loved this story! Willingham is a must-read author for me and her newest book did not disappoint.
It is a slow burn, but I genuinely enjoyed the characters, eerie backdrop and dual timeline through the diary POV. It kept me guessing until the end. Definitely recommend!
Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press for an arc in exchange for my review.

Stacy Willingham is one of my go to authors. I enjoyed this book, it started out slow and then ramped up midway through.

Not a terrible mystery, but the grandiloquent prose was not for me. Claire, an out of work journalist, returns to South Carolina to help her Mom. However, Mom doesn’t feel she needs any help, so Claire leaves and gets a job on an island farm where her murdered sister Natalie worked 22 years ago. Natalie disappeared shortly after her 18 th birthday and while her boyfriend was convicted, a body was never found. Claire sees an opportunity to discover the truth and write about her sisters murder.
Thanks to NetGalley and Macmillan for a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Willingham writes a really good atmospheric thriller. She always keeps the reader guessing and has perfectly timed shock points. I really enjoyed the premise of this story and they were definitely a few twists I didn’t see coming. Really enjoyed this one and highly recommend for the perfect summer time/fall thriller.
