i didn’t love it, but i didn’t hate it either. the story had some twists and suspenseful moments that kept me curious, but it didn’t fully hook me. the audiobook was well done—the narration was clear and easy to follow—but overall, it just felt okay to me.

⭐️ 3.5 stars!!

Forget Me Not was a great eerily, atmospheric thriller of a book. The setting of South Carolina and Galloway Farms as an escape from reality was such a mysteriously fun location choice. The mystery aspect kept me on my toes the whole way through and had me needing more with every page turned. I loved seeing the found diary unravel so many secrets and questions about unsolved crimes. Each revelation had me questioning how far in over her head Claire was getting. I enjoy the tension and magnetic pull Willingham's books always have on me. This one was no exception! I definitely recommend this one and it is high up on my list of favorites by her!

Forget Me Not caught me completely by surprise. The many layers and understated characters pulled me into this web of sadness and discovery. Claire is an interesting character. She is written with depth that allows the reader to feel what she’s feeling. There are twists and turns and forks in the road because everything is not what it seems at Galloway Farms. I highly recommend both the book and audio of this stellar family suspense.

Another fantastic read from Stacy Willingham! I loved the setting to this one, this beautiful winery with all of these haunting secrets and a dark and deadly past. I loved the cast so much as well and there were so many reveals I never saw coming!

I really liked this authors first couple of books so I was excited for this one. This one didn’t grab me the same way, but I did overall enjoy the story. Claire’s sister disappeared more than two decades ago shortly after her 18th birthday. Claire has never fully gotten past this and when she goes home to visit her mother she stumbles her way into investigating the mystery of another missing young girl. I listened to the audiobook and I really liked the job the narrators did. Overall I gave this one 3.5 stars which I rounded up because I did enjoy the story overall. I found this one to not be as twisty as I hoped for and the main protagonist made some very stupid choices despite being an intelligent woman which I really don’t enjoy.

This book was incredible!! This was my first Stacy Willingham book and it will not be the last! The breadcrumbs were dropped so subtly throughout the story that nothing ever seemed obvious. It felt like you were right there with the main character trying to piece things together as the story was unfolding. After the first few chapters the story never dragged and everything tied in perfectly at the end in my opinion. I think this is a must read for fans of the genre!

Thank you to Martin’s Press, NetGalley, and the author for allowing me to read this book early!

Stacy Willingham is an automatic buy at this point, ever since her debut… I can’t say I’ve found a book that’s yet to reach that level for me, but this one came quite close. So so many questions and twists leaving you guessing what was to come. Claire lost her older sister 22 years ago and hasn’t returned to her home town since. Only her mom is in need, so she decides to show up and visit memory lane only starts to find clues that aren’t quite adding up from long ago.

Fast paced and found the writing style easy to follow along and flow with. Classic mystery/ thriller novel, only I DID NOT anticipate practically any of the twists. You think it’s going one way only for a detour route (but it wasn’t necessarily annoying or too much backstory to follow along). The chapters are separated between a journal of the past and present (Claire). I LOVE when a book includes journal references, it really adds another layer to the story I find so captivating.

Overall, good mystery read by Stacy yet again

This was a great mystery with a slower pace and a mystery reaching back in time. Claire impulsively takes a job at a vineyard in her hometown for the summer. While there she is haunted by the past disappearance of her sister and fascinated by a journal she finds hidden in her guest house. There are lots of mysteries at her temporary home and in her family to uncover. I had a hard time getting into the story and the first half of the book felt a bit dragged out to me. Then once the plot really got going I was more invested. Overall I enjoyed the story and the mystery kept me invested until the end. Thanks to Stacy Willingham, St. Martin's Press | Minotaur Books, and NetGalley for the advanced copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

3.5 out of 5 stars.

Forget Me Not was engaging but some reveals I felt were not extremely satisfying and some were even a bit confusing. Also confused how a character did not get repercussions for a major crime, but maybe I missed something. The pacing was a bit slow, but I found myself reading long stretches at a time and really getting into the story. It also made me super nervous when the MC would do silly things, but it was sort of fun to be on the edge of my seat even if she did dumb things.

I always enjoy Willingham’s works, but this is probably one of my least favorites. Still solid.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

In Forget Me Not, Stacy Willingham delivers another suspenseful thriller filled with secrets, shifting memories, and a haunting sense of unease. Set in a small town, the story centers on a Claire's sister's disappearance and the unraveling that follows.

Willingham’s sharp pacing, layered characters, and eerie atmosphere keep you hooked, even if some twists feel familiar. Still, the emotional depth and smart storytelling make this a standout.

A solid, satisfying read!

Thank you NetGalley and St. Martin's press for an advanced readers copy.

Another winner for Willingham! She is so great at the slow burn mysteries. What a haunting, evocative, and atmospheric slow-burning mystery with a constant sense of unease simmering just beneath the surface!! That eerie feeling of the Farm and its occupants, always following you, made this much more thrilling. I loved the present and the past timelines. While I did see the outcome of the story coming, which is why I took away a half star, the writing was compelling enough to make me enjoy this story very much.
4.5 stars for this novel.  I highly recommend this novel to anyone who loves stories steeped in atmosphere, emotion, and slow-burning suspense. While it's not an edge of your seat thriller, it's a deeply immersive mystery that quietly builds tension on every page.

Thriller fans with cult vibes definitely need to add this one to your TBR! It’s fast paced, with an ending that will have you on the edge of your seat while you binge read it!

Claire is still haunted by her sister’s disappearance 22 years ago. When she returns home and gets a seasonal job at Calloway Farms, she stumbles upon a diary that holds secrets from the past…I really enjoyed how Stacy wove the diary into a past timeline!

This one grips you from the twisted beginning, and then you just need to hold on for the ride. There was a small part that dragged a little early on, but once you get past it, it’s twist after twist after twist. The shocking kind that will have your jaw dropping 😮!! The ending is nuts and suspenseful and I loved how it wrapped up.

This book is a little bit of a slow burn initially, but when all the slowness wears off it is a full-on ride. Stacy Willingham did a fantastic job bringing us this atmospheric setting in South Carolina, (I may be a little biased since it's my home state!)

Claire Campbell has nothing to do for the summer. She's recently quit her job to do free-lance journalism after losing her promotion to her dearest friend, Ryan. Claire receives a phone call from her father to help her mother back home in South Carolina, a place she hasn't visited in years. Claire has neglected to return home, mostly because twenty-two years ago her sister, Natalie, vanished without a trace. The thought of returning home is haunting to Claire, but she has no excuses while working as a free-lance journalist.

Claire has the entire summer and finds herself in a time warp in her sister's room. After finding an undeveloped roll of film along with pictures, Claire knows she must try to uncover the secrets her sister was keeping from her and her family before she disappeared. Her mother has decided she doesn't need her help, nor does she need Claire just looming around her. So, Claire quickly packs her belongs to head home to New York, until she decides to take a detour. Clair visits the famous Galloway farms and decides to accept a summertime job. But while she's staying on Galloway Farms, she uncovers a journal and quickly finds there are lots of secrets to be uncovered. Will Claire finally get the answers she is desperately seeking?

This book is twisty, suspenseful and full of surprises. Told in a dual POV and nonlinear timeline, this one is sure to keep you guessing. I would absolutely say pick this one up! Just be prepared for a little bit of slow burn to get to the thriller!

This was my first Stacy Willingham book and it will not be my last. BRB while I go and download another one. This is a slow paced thriller. At first, I wasn’t too sure about this book since I typically like my thrillers to be faster paced but by the end I was wanting even more. Claire visits Galloway farms 22 years after her sister had worked there prior to her being murdered by an older boy. Claire was drawn to the place to feel close to her sister but something doesn’t feel right for Claire. After accepting a job and planning to stay at Galloway farms, Claire finds a hidden diary. After finding the diary and reading its contents, Claire realizes there is a lot more to the Galloway farms and the family residing there. She believes this farm is connected to her sister’s murder in some way. Many secrets are revealed about this family and farm and Claire is there through it all.

First I’d like to extend a thank you to St. Martins Press, NetGalley and the author for the advanced copy of this book. My thoughts are my own.

I’ve read two other books by Stacy Willingham and really enjoyed them so I was very excited to start this book- although this story was somewhat of a slow burn, it didn’t take long before I was glued to the pages. It was well written- the author creating such an atmospheric picture, so eerie and ominous that I just had to know what happened next. While I never personally connected with any of the characters, I found them to be interesting and well developed. Although the plot was gripping and intriguing- I found it to be a bit predictable at times and there were some holes that were never filled.

Overall, this was a gripping mystery/thriller that is sure to entertain and creep you out!

I am a big fan of this author. She did not disappoint with this book! The main character drove me crazy through most of the book, but kept me on my toes. Some of the twists were pretty predictable, but still enjoyable!

Thank you to NetGalley, the author, and publisher for the ARC.

Another great summer thriller to add to your TBR! Willingham has quickly become an autoread author for me. I found the beginning of the book a bit slow but things definitely picked up and kept me glued to the pages for the last 25%. The twists were all unexpected, except for one which I caught early on, and I was happy that all of the loose threads came together at the end. A fun summer thriller for me!

Forget Me Not centers on Claire Campbell, an investigative journalist haunted by her sister Natalie’s disappearance 22 years ago. When Claire returns home to South Carolina to care for her injured mother, she takes a seasonal job at Galloway Farm—the same vineyard where Natalie worked the summer before she vanished. There, Claire uncovers an ominous diary filled with hints similar to her sister’s case.

Willingham’s writing is as captivating as ever—atmospheric, twisty, and immersive, making her one of my favorite thriller authors. My only gripe? Claire’s hesitation to delve into the diary dragged the pace a bit. But overall, it’s a tense, haunting read that kept me hooked until the end.

Thank you NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press for allowing to read this for my honest opinion!

Stacy Willingham is a new favorite of mine for thriller! I loved this one just as much as her others! She builds such empathy for her characters, you want nothing but the best for them in these haunting stories Stacy writes. Can’t wait for it to release for the public.

After Willingham's last novel and attempt to write a more juvenile story, she's back with a grown-up novel full of mystery and family secrets.
The setting was lovely and atmospheric. The main character was easily relatable and realistic. Characters' development were on point and the conclusion, even though not necessarily original, can pass as unpredictable by less hardcore mystery readers.
I've had a great time with this book, and I highly recommend it to anyone who has read one (or both) of Stacy's first 2 novels and enjoyed it.
