I really enjoyed this book! The beginning was perfect pace and I had to keep going reading the diary journal entries.I really enjoyed the split timelines and how they played out in this book!

I really enjoyed reading FORGET ME NOT. I was drawn into the story. There was an ominous feel. There were times when I was questioning what Claire was doing, but it all made sense at the end.

Forget me not was twisty and thrilling. I really enjoyed the setting along with the characters and their backgrounds. I tried guessing many times at what was going to happen but I had it wrong and I really like when I’m bested by an author. Thank you for allowing me to read a digital ARC of this book.

Stacy Willingham never disappoints, and Forget Me Not is no exception. This gripping thriller had me on the edge of my seat from start to finish. With twists and turns I didn’t see coming, it’s a compelling story about a sister’s desperate search for the truth. The suspense builds with every chapter, making it hard to put down. Another solid read from Willingham!

When Claire quits her job after not receiving a well deserved promotion she returns home to take care of her mother. This leads to her anxiety about her dead sister, her mother never seeming to want her there and more questions than answers to her sister past. She sets off on a journey to find the answers she feels she needs in order to move on with her life only to find out so much more, must be the reporter in her.

Cult vibes, family secrets, murder, twist and turns - it has so much suspense and thrill I just wished I had more time to read without stopping!

This was well written and kept me on my toes, just when I thought I had it figured out BAM new twist and secret revealed!

Stacy Willingham knows how to write a gripping suspense novel. Giving you just enough information at the right time to keep you coming back. The topic is a tough one, with missing teenagers being taken advantage of and being tricked by the promise of a “new life”, but I did need to know what happened to the missing sister.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the advanced copy.

I received this book as an ARC from the publisher and NetGalley. This review is my own. I really enjoyed this book! Claire Campbell suffered a horrible loss 22 years ago when her sister Natalie, then age 18, went missing and was never seen again. Claire goes home to help her mother after she breaks her leg, but she discovers her mother doesn’t want her around. Claire retraces Natalie’s steps from the summer she disappeared, and she discovers the shocking truth of it all. Gripping, exciting, and very hard to put down. 4.5 stars.

I’ve read All The Dangerous Things by this author and really enjoyed that one so I could not wait to read Forget Me Not!

Forget Me Not grabbed my attention very early on and kept me entertained and curious throughout. I liked the MC Claire and I liked the mystery. I will say for me this was more of just a mystery than a thriller but the atmosphere was very well done. I enjoyed it, but I didn’t absolutely love it.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing a free ebook copy in exchange for an honest review. This book will be released August 26, 2025.

Claire is a struggling journalist who comes back to her hometown in South Carolina when her mom has an accident. Her sister disappeared 20 years earlier and she finds herself working at Galloway farm for the summer where her sister mysteriously disappeared. When she finds the diary of Marcia, the wife of the owner, she starts to realize that the farm is not as it seems.

This had me hooked from the beginning. Willingham had an uncanny ability to keep you guessing until the very end. I thoroughly enjoyed this.

Forget Me Not was a suspenseful story following Claire as she stumbles home in South Carolina to face her past and to uncover the truth about her sisters disappearance and murder. She finds herself at Galloway Farm, a place that her sister Natalie had worked at the summer she disappeared. Pretty quickly she starts to feel that there is something wrong with the farm's owners, Mitch and Marcia and although the farm seems like an idyllic escape, something gnaws at her that something isn't quite right. She finds Marcia's diary tucked away in the guest house and starts to uncover a grim past. There were culty vibes and an overall unsettling tone throughout the entire story and I could NOT put it down. Although some of the twists were predictable, the ending twists were not. Lovers of suspense and mysteries and cults are absolutely going to eat this book up!

If you're in the mood for a slow-burning thriller with southern gothic vibes and buried family secrets, 'Forget Me Not' should be at the top of your TBR!

There’s just something about a good murder-thriller that gets me every time. The atmosphere, the slow reveal of secrets, it all adds this layer of tension that makes a good mystery even better.

'Forget Me Not' is a slow burn in the best way. At first, I wasn’t totally sure where it was heading, but by the time I realized where it was going, I was already in for the ride. And from there? I could not put it down.

Claire, still grieving her sister’s disappearance from twenty years earlier, returns to their small southern hometown and takes a job at the vineyard where her sister spent that final summer. As she starts digging into the past (thanks to some diary entries she finds -- loved that part of the story!), the tension starts building. And then halfway through, the pacing explodes. It gets twisty and dark.

Some twists I saw coming, but others completely caught me off guard. There were definitely a few “woah” moments where I had to just stop and take it in. It was also really easy to follow and made for a great reading experience overall.

Southern secrets, sisterhood, and suspense - what more could you want?

Forget me not follows journalist Claire as she heads home, 22 yrs after her sister’s disappearance and presumed murder.

I really enjoyed this thriller. There were culty vibes and it was very atmospheric. I loved the sense of foreboding and all the creepy moments. While I figured out a few of the twists beforehand I didn’t see the final one coming. The beginning was a bit slow and took me a bit to really get into the story but once I did it was a page turner.

In Claire’s situation, she wouldn’t have at any point flipped ahead or skimmed that diary when she got the creeps from it? The MC made many frustrating choices but the diary as a plot driver just didn’t make sense. With that being said I did really enjoy the diary chapters and the mystery of Marcia’s past.

Overall this was an entertaining read and would recommend to fans of mystery thrillers.

Forget Me Not
Stacy Willingham

Claire had quit her job at The Journal and is in a state of depression between her leaving her job, her friend Ryan getting the promotion she had wanted, and the recent news of a missing girl that sounds familiar to how her sister went missing many many years ago.

She gets a call from her dad that her mom had had an accident and since they are separated and has no one, she could really use Claire to come home for a little while to help her. But for Claire she’s not sure she wants to as it’s been 15 years and she doesn’t want to go back to the house where her sister who has been missing for 10 years room still looks exactly as it did.

From here, Claire discovers some things and has some memories triggered from being back home. She leaves her mom’s house after the realization she isn’t wanted and ends up at one of the last places that her sister was known to be alive…..

She finds a diary while at this location and the story then flips between 1984 and today…. This diary helps unravel a mystery and Claire’s determined to figure out what the heck happened.

I won’t give anymore of the story because you absolutely need to read this book first yourself. It was faced paced. It has twists and turns, and kept me needing to know more about what happened in the past. I would rate this book a 4.25 stars! Definitely worth the read and I suggest you all pick it up this summer!

Thank you NetGalley for this opportunity.

I had high hopes because I’ve really enjoyed a couple of Stacy Willingham books but this one was a bit too slow for me, and the twists were visible from a mile away. The MC does very little in this story but ask a few questions and read a diary. When she reads the diary, it’s presented as a flashback from the perspective of another character, but even that part is just answering the questions the MC has. Almost nothing actually happens in this book until the end, certainly nothing very exciting. It’s definitely more mystery than thriller, and something about the MC was sort of unlikeable and I couldn’t work up to caring about her story or anything that happened to her. Her dialogue with other people was often pushy to the point of being rude, or just phrased in a way that would be really off putting irl.

I will say the second half of the book was so much more interesting than the first, but just interesting enough, not exciting in any way.

Because I know this author can do better, I’ll try her again, but this one was a miss.

This book definitely holds your interest until the end. I thought it started out a little slow at first, but it picks up. I enjoyed the characters but I did find that it was pretty predictable. The ending felt a little too rushed honestly. I think if it would've been spread out a bit more the twists and turns would've landed easier. I do like the authors writing and I have read and liked her other books. I would recommend this book to my book club and friend for sure because it does keep your interest throughout. Thanks to netgalley for advanced copy!
