Stacy Willingham stays reminding me how brutally hot the south is. 😭
Forget Me Not was a decent and quick read. It wasn’t anything too crazy or unique and I did guess most of the twists / the direction the book was going and I think the book was going for a more suspenseful / oppressive vibe and it did that occasionally. I was left wanting more from the overall plot and revelations.
I always want to read the authors next book, I find her writing to be super easy and compelling and I fly through her thrillers. This one just was not a huge win for me, but it will definitely have an audience.

This was my second book from this author, and I really enjoyed it. It was a really good suspense that had a few twists and a spooky southern setting.

ARC was provided by the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

Atmospheric mystery-thriller loaded with twists. Felt like the author upped the creep factor and got a little darker with her characters. A well plotted storyline that will keep you engaged as you try to put together the clues alongside the main character. I did find myself feeling a little “old” for this author’s intended audience, especially as she hints at how LONG ago the 1980s were (lol). I probably would have connected more with the story of the main character’s mom - who played a pretty minor (but important) role - but I still enjoyed reading about the daughter’s perspective.

ARC - 4/5⭐️ what a heart pounding, eerie thriller! Claire, a journalist in New York, reluctantly returns home to a small town in South Carolina to assist her injured mother. While home, she unexpectedly accepts a job at an old vineyard where her sister used to work over 20 years ago, the summer before she was murdered. This twisty, exciting plot follows Claire as she uncovers secrets of the past and becomes consumed by the diary she discovers in the guest house. I really liked switching between present day and the diary scenes. Galloway farms was so creepy and Mitchell gave me the creeps from the start! The ending was such a page turner!!! Was some of it a little predictable? Yes, but I still enjoyed it!
This is the third book I’ve read from Stacy Willingham and I just think she writes such great thriller novels! Huge thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press for the ARC! 💜

Honestly I just want my time back. This was anticlimactic and overall lacked so much plotline that could have been so well done if given more perspectives.

Stacy Willingham does it again! I absolutely devoured this book way too quickly. I I loved everything about this novel: the character development, plot twists and the major creep factor she was able to imply throughout the story. I was on the edge of my seat constantly trying to figure out what was going to happen next, I was never able to successfully figure out the ending but it was even better then I could have imagined. Stacy’s ability to write a thriller/mystery is something like no other. I have been a fan since her debut novel Flicker in the Dark and this one once again does not disappoint. I love racking my brain to figure out the puzzle of an ending. If you enjoy edge of your seat suspense with lots of twists and turns this novel is a must! 5 stars ⭐️ Thank you St Martin’s Press and NetGalley for this ARC.

Thanks NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press for an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. Willingham is one of my favourite authors, so I was looking forward to this book. I was not disappointed. I appreciated the cliffhangers at the end of each chapter. I also liked the dual timelines. I think these helped develop the characters well. There were times that I thought things were a little bit slower than they needed to be, but I was surprised by the ending and enjoyed the twists. Definitely a book worth checking out when released in August.

Loved this faster paced read by Stacy Willingham! I loved her first couple books, was not a big fan of her last one, but this one was so good. I enjoyed the setting, the journal allowing for a past and present timeline, and the characters. The ending was kind of chaotic, but that’s always fun in a thriller.

Stacy Willingham’s new book Forget Me Not was an excellent read! The atmosphere surrounding the story was just eerie enough to have me hooked right from the start . The relationships between her mother and sister were heartfelt and I felt that many people feel that way . I would highly recommend reading this book especially if you have read her previous books.

This had me in a CHOKEHOLD. My favorite of hers, by far! There were moments when I started sweating, and my heart was beating way too fast because I was so locked in. I wanted to throw my Kindle a couple of times because the fmc seemed to have no sense of self-preservation but easily overlooked. And, the author's descriptions made me feel like I was right there.

I’ve been a fan of Stacy Willingham since reading her debut novel, Flicker in the Dark. You can always know what to expect from her— a solid and engaging story; Forget Me Not is no exception. I felt like an undercover sleuth trying to put all of the puzzle pieces together before our protagonist, Claire, did. That led to some pretty exciting twists and an equally satisfying ending. One thing I love about her writing is how descriptive it is. The way she describes the setting in such detail makes for an immersive reading experience. Willingham is definitely a top contender in the Southern Noir category.
Thanks to St. Martin’s Press and NetGalley for this ARC. Expected publication is August 26, 2025.

The majority of the story in Forget Me Not takes place in a vineyard. I found this to be fitting in many ways. The best comparison I have for this book is drinking a delicious glass of wine. It is juicy, complex, and before you know it--gone. I could not read this book fast enough. The timelines swapping between the diary and present kept me on the edge of my seat. I have read all of Stacy Willingham's books. Forget Me Not is my favorite of hers.
Thank you to St. Martin's Press/Minotaur Books, Netgalley, and Stacy Willingham for allowing me to read this ARC.

Pasando esa marca, empezó a mejorar.

Very good thriller that had a southern gothic feel. There were some odd turns of phrase but I liked how the book changed times frequently.

This book was AMAZING! Wow! I loved the that the timeline goes back and forth between the past and present. The characters were well developed and I especially loved the main character. The setting was picked perfectly and it was perfectly paced for a thrilling read!
Thank you to the author and publisher for this copy of the book! I can’t wait for everyone to have their hands on a copy!

3.5 rounded down. I am a huge Stacy Willingham fan so I was super excited to receive “Forget Me Not” as an ARC. I was not immediately sucked in by this one the way I have been by her books in the past. I really found myself struggling to stay engaged throughout the first half of the book to the point where I just wasn’t eager to pick it back up. It wasn’t until about 80% of the way through that the twists started coming but once they started, they didn’t stop! As soon as I thought I had it figured out, everything went sideways. My favorite type of thriller is one where the author gives clues that don’t click until after everything is revealed, and this one definitely delivered on that! If you can stick it out through the first half, this is definitely worth the read.

This was a fun thriller! It had tons of twists and turns that I totally wasn’t expecting. It took me a bit to get through the first 25% which made it feel a little bit slow in the beginning. The second half, I couldn’t put it down. Super fast paced and unpredictable!
This is my second Wilingham book and I’ll definitely read more of her books.
Thanks NetGalley and St Martin’s Press for this ARC!

This was my first time reading a book from this author and I'm so glad I read this one. It was so good from beginning to end. I was hooked by this story from the beginning to the end and read it in one sitting, I could not put it down. Claire's dedication to finding out not only what happened to her sister Natalie but also wanting to help Marcia was commendable, then she also wants to help Liam at the end even though things were rocky there toward the end also. Was not expecting to the little twist at the end with Lily and Mitchell to be honest and that was enterhttps://fable.co/review/e9fd78a5-3ca0-4cfc-81bb-e1852d1f5e27/sharetaining or the twist with Claire's mom. I really enjoyed this book. I highly recommend this one.

Swoon, Swoon, Swoon!!!!!! This book was everything a Reece Witherspoon movie is. A lighthearted and lovely book. I loved it. It's a Love Story by Annabel Monaghan is the perfect rom-com. This is a grab your ice tea and get lost type of book. Dan and Jane were both so likeable. I was rooting for them from the start.

This book has themes from books I've read before: a missing sister, investigation into a missing woman from the past, return to home town after a long time away. It was done well, but wasn't exceptional either. Relatively slow for me until the last 15% or so where it almost went too fast and got maybe a little convoluted. But I was never annoyed or bored, and there were elements that surprised me.
