Volume 2 of Muted continues the story of Camille working to rediscover her freedom and personal brand of magic after a short break from her abusive aunt Athalie. This story continues to be one of my favorites I've read this year - the artwork is stunning, the characters have strong identities and unique designs, and the story itself has had me hooked since Volume 1.
I particularly loved that in this volume we're exploring Camille's memories of her tragic past, Dendro's story, as well as following Camille along while she rediscovers her strength and fights her (literal and metaphorical) demons. I cannot wait for Volume 3!
✨ Disclaimer ✨ I received a free copy of this book and this is my honest review.

Thank you to Netgalley, the publisher, and the author for providing a free e-graphic novel arc in exchange for an honest review.
Miranda Mundt has done it again! I was so excited and grateful to receive the second volume arc of this awesome graphic novel and read it in a day! I couldn't put it down! The characters are fantastic. The plot is ever thickening, leaving us on a bit of a cliffhanger at the end of this one. The illustrations are just absolutely gorgeous in the first volume and even more so in this one! I love how we're seeing Camille come into her own and that she is really trying to break the bonds of her tragic past.
I can't wait for both volumes to actually be released as I will be picking up physical copies of them, I'm fully invested! Definitely grab the first volume, which is releasing July 8th, and this volume is releasing October 14th!

Once again the art style was really beautiful and I really love how each of the characters stand out. I also loved the foreshadowing in the background scenes during the second to last chapter. I also loved the panels with silly reaction faces to bring some light to the overall more serious tone of this book. This volume tacked serious themes on guilt, trauma, depression, and suicidal thoughts. I think the art style portrayed this feeling in a way that was unique.
I first read this series when it was published on Webtoon, so it was nice to come back and reread this story. I excited that the author is now able to publish in print, and I look forward to reading the next volume!
Thank you to NetGalley and Ten Speed Press for a digital arc in exchange for an honest review.

Thanks to NetGalley and Ten Speed Press for the ARC of this graphic novel.
I was lucky enough to get an ARC of vol 1 and loved it. I preordered it, and vol 2. Then I got the ARC and I’m even more happy I decided to preorder vol 2.
The artwork is still absolutely stunning. The story progressed so much in this one and we got to learn a little bit more about the characters.
I’m pretty sure I know where parts of this story are going, but I cannot wait to read vol 3. Especially because this one ended on a bit of a cliffhanger.
I really hope by the end of this Camille’s aunt gets what she deserves, her cousin finds love and that Camille, Nyra and Dendro are a thruple. Lol

I love this series. The artwork, the storyline, the whole concept is just *chef's kiss* Sometimes the second book in a series can kind of lose the vibes and feeling of the first book but this is not like that. The character progression is great, you really get the sense that the new characters introduced evolve Camille's character without losing her core in the changes. The broadening of the world also feels very natural and cohesive. Loved it!

This was just as well done as the first comic. I really, really want to know what happens next. Thanks, Net Galley, for the ARC. Give me all of the sapphic witches available, please.

Thank you netgally, Clarkson Potter/Ten Speed Press and Miranda Mundt for letting me read this arc in exchange for an honest review.
I liked this volume a little less than the first volume but it still was great! It just had a lot of sad vibes. The demon making our girl relive the night of the fire over and over again hurt so bad.
I am really liking the relationship progress between Camille and Nyra, they’re so cute and I love how they keep blushing because of each other. I also looooveee dendro, she’s adorable! Her wonder about the world is so precious and I hope she never changes.
The ending felt illegal, I can’t handle the cliffhanger. It was soooo good tho, I need the next part asap to know what else is going to be happening

I received this DRC from NetGalley.
As with the first volume, I enjoyed the art and the characters. So much happened in the previous volume, though, that I would have liked this one to have a bit of a faster pace as well. But it was still enjoyable, and I'll definitely be continuing with the series.

4.5/5⭐

Muted: Volume 2 is such a fantastic follow-up to the first book! Camille’s journey continues as she navigates her powers, family drama, and the weight of expectations. I love how the story keeps pushing her to grow and figure out what kind of person and magic she wants to embrace.
The relationships in this book are really compelling, especially Camille’s dynamic with those around her.
The illustrations in this volume are gorgeously vibrant. They bring so much life and atmosphere to the story. The art really enhances the emotional depth of certain scenes, and the characters’ expressions make you feel every moment. It’s the perfect mix of whimsical and powerful, fitting the tone of the story beautifully. It’s always such a treat to see the artwork in these books, and it definitely adds to the overall experience.
This book has reignited my love for Webtoons. Muted has made me fall back in love with the format! The way the story blends incredible art with gripping storytelling is just everything.
Overall, this book is definitely worth the read, and I can’t wait to see what happens next! Highly recommend this series for anyone who loves magic, character growth, a bit of romance, and beautiful illustrations.

Absolutely Brilliant! Mundt is a true artist with her illustrations, and color choices. And the storyline keeps you locked in as you journey along with Camille. The stakes are so high in this volume. Can't wait for Volume 3!

I loved the first volume of Muted, so when I saw the second one on NetGalley, I leaped at the chance to check it out. It didn’t disappoint. Muted: Volume 2 has everything that made me love the first book, complete with an eerie cliff-hanger at the conclusion. Camille’s story continues to unfold at a fast, expert pace, as full as ever of unexpected twists and vivid storytelling. Once more, I adore the artwork; it feels as though it perfectly encapsulates the world and tone of this story, and adds so much to the characters, which is the best sort of graphic novel! On the character side, Mundt continues to develop Camille and the supporting cast in a way that feels organic and vibrant, guided always by their choices and history rather than an artificial construction of what they ‘should’ do next. I truly can’t wait to read Volume 3—this is an enthralling story and a fast read, and I’m so curious about where Mundt will take it next!

I was a webtoons gurlie to and from, but I had never found myself coming across Muted (1 & 2) until netgalley.
I really loved the relationship dynamics we got in this book versus the first one. Both Dendro and Nyra were both so different in personality, but were put in this book to help Camille navigate both her past and present. It's sad to see that both in the past and present Camille still continues to have trauma in her family. Overall, I loved this read and the art that went with it!
Big thank you to Netgalley for the opportunity to read this!

Thank you to NetGalley and Ten Speed Press for the e-arc!
This series tackles some dark themes within the first few chapters, and it felt like more time could have been given to process them. In the end, I couldn't vibe with this series, but I would recommend checking it out if you are already a fan or the synopsis speaks to you.

Be still, my precious heart!
As soon as I saw this up for request, I had to request it for reading—the first book had already made an everlasting impression on me.
I never thought I would say this, but this part even topped the first one - and that is very hard to do.
I love this story, and I think things are starting to get very serious and dramatic.
I was on my toes the entire time! I laughed and I cried with this book.
This might be one of my new favourite series.
The character development is done masterfully, the inclusivity is top-notch, and it tackles all the heavy topics in just the right way.
It also has many funny and wholesome moments, so it truly feels very balanced, and I feel connected to the world and the characters.
The art and colouring are beautiful and complete this already rich and magical story.
I am going to pre-order the books right now!
Thanks to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for providing me with this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I don’t know why it took this becoming available to read on NetGalley before I knew anything about it. How did it not come across my WebToon years ago? I’ll take sapphic witches with a dark back story any day of the week!!!

I enjoyed this continuation of the Muted volumes. I I loved the dynamic with Dendro and Nyra. Overall the story was written well and the art was beautiful.

What a great follow on from the first volume!
We have further development of relationships, some questions are answered and some new ones arise. This volume feels a bit slower paced than the first, but for good reason. We are building on events from the first volume and the mystery of Camille's childhood is slowly being revealed to us. There is continued family tension building and Camille risks losing her best friend and cousin, Avaline, over the fallout. The romance gets more interesting in this volume with the addition of a new character who may or may not be a potential love interest?? Overall, a great installment and I can’t wait until the next one!

Thank you, NetGalley for this ARC!
I can't say exactly what it was, but I did not enjoy this volume nearly as much as the first. Overall, I loved the art style and the dynamic between our characters. But felt like it was lacking in development when it came to our FMC, Camille. She was less likable in this one for me, but I was still interested in where this story was headed.

A fantastic followup to a really captivating book. The art and story are both well done and I'm loving the varied and dynamic characters. Excited for volume 3
