This was just as good as the first volume, the story kept me hooked throughout and the emotional moments hit hard. After that cliff-hanger ending I went and checked out the original webtoon version, cause I couldn't bear to wait however long it takes for future volumes to come out. The adaptation from the original vertical-scroll format to page-by-page layouts was done wonderfully, and improves the reading experience by heaps. Though I gotta say, both the cliff-hanger that ended the first volume and the one at the end of this volume resolve quite anti-climatically.

Fantastic! I enjoyed vol 2 even more than vol 1. The artwork continues to be a treat and the story is engaging but what I love best about this graphic novel is the dialogue. I love the way the characters talk to and interact with each other. I'm enjoying watching Cam grow and the way the behaviour of the people around her so clearly depicts the influences in her life. The way the toxicity of her birth family is replaced with the gentle support and encouragement of her chosen family, and how her character development is paralleled with her cousin's makes a strong statement without devolving into either a play by play or gratuitousness; that's a difficult line to walk when dealing with sensitive subject matter.
Well done Mundt, bring on vol 3!

I really enjoyed the first volume and I enjoyed this just as much! We learn a lot more as the story continues in this volume. The characters are great, the plot is engaging and the art is beautiful

This series has me hooked!! I love the main character and I’m finding her journey really compelling, narratively speaking. The art is really great as well. I can’t wait for the next one.

A very entertaining follow up, there’s a little more depth and urgency in volume 2 and a killer last 100 pages. I’m quite excited to go further into this world.
Thank you for the opportunity.

An intriguing follow up in this dark series of witch families, hauntings, and healing trauma. The characters are full-bodied and layered with the unfolding of intricate plot showing growth and nuance. There is a beautiful romance blooming that does not feel out of place and is heartwarming in its anticipation. So excited for volume 3!

A stunner. I was so happy that Volume 2 was up after absolutely adoring Volume 1 of Muted. The art style is absolutely beautiful and the story is just so, so good. I love the worldbuilding of this story, I love magical realism, and witchcraft being a natural part of this world is so much fun to explore. The characters are very well rounded and I felt with them all (well, besides the villains, but I'm not supposed to there). Just overall a super great graphic novel. Cannot wait for it to continue!

OKKKAAAYYYYY, so the beginning of this was boring. It lost all of the momentum that the first book had. Then the middle to end portion brought this book back to life. I liked this one, I don't think it was as good as the first due to the pacing and the enormous amount of typos, but it offered just enough that I will read the second in the series.
This book covers a range of topics that need to be explored in traditional literature and graphic novels. I'd pick up the second one for fun, but I would not go into it with high expectations.

Thank you NetGalley and Ten Speed Graphics for the ARC.
This is Volume 2 of an amazing WebToon and it was just as lovely as Volume 1. If you are a fan of the webtoon then you already know this is for you. If you have never heard of the webtoon but are looking for a beautifully drawn graphic novel with an amazing story this is for you. Muted continues to be a 5 star read for me. The story continues with Camille learning more about her past, works on expressing herself and starts to journey to be happier being herself.

I really liked Muted Volume 2, just like I did the first one. Miranda Mundt does such a good job of creating high stakes and building up the tension. Even more than the first book, this one had me so nervous about what was going to happen next that my stomach was churning the whole time.
Camille’s life story is absolutely heartbreaking, and finding out what actually happened to her mom and her twin sister was awful. It hit hard. I have a sneaking suspicion about who ordered the hit, but I’m waiting for the reveal. The way the story unfolds keeps me guessing, and I appreciate how tightly it’s written.
I also really liked Dendro’s night mode. The character designs in general are pretty simple, but they’re really nice and effective. I can only hope Avaline gets to know some peace eventually, because she deserves it.
Honestly, I’m half tempted to go read the rest on Webtoon instead of waiting for the next volume. I really want to know what happens next.

I was so excited to be able to get an advanced reader copy! Since reading Vol. 1 I have been anxiously awaiting the next portion of our journey. I am loving how this story is progressing. The novel is so easy to follow and flows so nicely. We are also met with a wonderful story of finding yourself after times of struggle mixed within a magical and wonderful world of witch families.

A mixed follow-up with strong characters but a slower pace
I read Muted Volume 1 about two months ago (around February), and it was hands-down my favorite read of that month. Unfortunately, Volume 2 didn’t quite live up to the same standard for me.
While I still love the characters—who remain compelling and well-written—the pacing in this volume felt slower, and it took a bit too long to reach the more exciting or emotional moments. The ending also left me feeling unsettled and a little frustrated, which dampened the overall experience.
That said, the heart of the story is still there, and I appreciate the depth given to the cast.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this sequel. This review is my honest opinion.
A 3 star read!

Thank you NetGalley and Clarkson Potter/Ten Speed Press for the ARC!
Continuing off volume one, this volume also delves into darker themes like family abuse, self harm, self deprecation and the potential what ifs the characters feel. The characters felt so real and raw, and they way they process their emotions and help one another through their problems. The book was so hard to put down, I ended up reading it all in one sitting. This volume gave depth to so many characters and showed that not everything can be categorized in black and white because of the things they experienced. I can't wait for the next volume!

*Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for a copy*
I really enjoyed volume 2! I enjoyed volume 1, but I think 2 is my favourite between them.
The art style is just so fun and I love the colours. The characters themselves are drawn in a way I love!
The story itself picks up right where volume 1 left off! I loved the story itself.
Overall, highly recommend this graphic novel series!

Once again, the art in this blew me away! And all the details of the story… It was so good! I loved this installment, and I loved delving deeper into the world and the magic system. Absolutely amazing!
Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for allowing me to read the ARC!

The second volume did not disappoint, the story is unravelling a little bit slower than I had anticipated but by doing that there is more time to just rest with these characters.
New additions include love interest Nyra and the sweetest demon you will encounter Dendro. Camille is coming to terms with the tragic passing of her parents and starting to understand where this places her in the witchy hierarchy. Whilst her aunt is trying to shove her back into a cage of rules she continues to grow (pun intended) into her powers and herself.
Really excited to see where this goes next. Thanks to NetGalley and Ten Speed Press for the ARC.

I loved this volume way better than the first one. This one was able to suck me right into the story and i was very invested. Loved the art as well, very beautiful

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for the ARC! This volume was even more beautiful than the first; the colors and the chapter artworks were gorgeous! I enjoyed the further exploration we got of Camille's backstory along with Dendro's, and the former's developing relationships with the girls around here were heartwarming and healing. Looking forward to the next volume!

Absolutely stunning colors and layouts for volume 2. Getting more into the heart of the story with all the relationships really forming is one of the best arcs. Dendro is one of my absolute favorite characters and getting her intro and origin story layers out so beautifully is fantastic. This will be a beautiful book for any witchy sapphic comic reader.

One week into her month-long respite from her controlling Aunt Athalie, Camille receives an unsettling call blindsiding her with news of her arranged marriage. But when she stands up for herself and her freedom, she creates a rift with her beloved cousin Avaline and gains an uncontrollable new ability triggered by overwhelming emotions.
AGHHHHHHH! NO! I need to know what happened tp Camille and her new found love...don't leave me hanging Miranda Mundt!
Ahem...so the second volume of Muted is even more emotional and entralling then the first. I was hoping this was a 2 part story but I left with tears in my eyes and screaming for closure.
Vol. 2 gives many answers to the who and why of vol. 1 but then...please let there be a vol. 3, please.
the art of Vol. 2 is even more beautiful thn its predecessor and worth every minute of the time you take to read this.
Highly recommneded. Expected publishing date is Oct. 14, 2025
Thanks to @netgalley and Clarkson Potter/Ten Speed Press/Ten Speed Graphic for the opportunity to read this eArc in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion.
