We listened to the audiobook in the car on the way to camp, and it was adorable! We laughed at all the silliness and experiments that Evelyn went through trying to hatch her egg. A fun heart warming read that also teaches about patience

5 🌟 Perfect and cute! The play on words about a young witch that wants a pet and researches what might come out of her egg. This could work a couple of ways in a class. It teaches what research is, how it could be done, how we have an idea but some people can guide us. This is amazing even for prediction. PICK it Up!! Especially K-2nd!

Evelyn Witch Gets a Pet is a perfectly sweet, cozy fall book for young readers. It is fun, captivating, and an all around lovely experience for readers of all ages!

Such an adorable, sweet audiobook for fall, my sons loved it. It's incredibly well done, you could easily imagine the visuals of the story thanks to the amazing narration and sound effects. We're planning to get the physical copy of this book for Halloween since my kids like the audiobook so much.

This was so cute! I really liked the narrator. I am super interested to reread it physically to see all the accompanying illustrations. Even without them though the audiobook has fun bubbling sounds and fun alliterations. I have a feeling it is definitely going to be one replayed many times in our household. It was also super fun to try to guess what was going to hatch from the egg!

This was a sweet and funny story of a witch who is eagerly awaiting the hatching of her pet dragon. I really liked the narrator, and of course always enjoy Beth Ferry's books. This will make a great talking book, or a fun stand alone to listen to on a Yoto player or Tonies box. My son enjoyed listening to the streaming story in the car.

The audiobook is wonderful. This is a perfect example of how audiobooks can be great for childrens books even without being able to see the narration. Yay for her new pet Owl!

Adorable witch gets a pet. What will it be. It was witchy and had a mystery. My kids would have loved it so much. I wish there were more books like this when my kids were little. I want to read the picture book too. The audio was great but the cover art looked so cute I am curious what the inside pages look like. I am 47 years old and I was completely invested in the answer to what was in the egg. My brain was also channeling my inner Seven. "What's in the box!!?"

The narrator is great and the background music is fitting. I don't love the attempts at rhyming. I wish the author would've saved the rhymes for Evelyn's spells. The way it is now it feels like both too forced and also strangely sporadic.

The cover art is very cute, and this might be most entertaining read that way. Like, what did the pet look like?

This was a cute little book about a young witch trying everything she can think of to hatch her pet from its egg. I love the ending of this book, especially, but it was also interesting to see other people's opinions on how she was going about hatching her pet.

This was a fun childrens book, with a great narrator.
I think young children wil enjoy this story a lot.

This is such an adorable book for young children to learn about patience, kindness, and some animal facts too. The narrator is amazing and does a 5-star job. The ending is perfect as well as the length of the book for small children's attention spans. I would highly recommend this book to parents with toddler through lower elementary school-aged children as it is a great family read aloud that teaches wholesome values and helps with emotional regulation.

"Sniveling Snails!" This is the perfect witchy book for any time of year. Kate Coventry does an excellent job portraying and capturing the enthusiasm of a young girl (witch) in search of a pet; the one thing she doesn't have.

Sniveling Snails! This audiobook is perfect for storytime. Kate Coventry is a lively narrator who paints the pictures with her animated voice. Evelyn Witch decides to get a pet, but all she can afford is a mystery pet. When faced with an egg that does not hatch, the impatient witch does her research at the library and tries out many spells to get the pet of her dreams. In the end she realizes that she will just have to wait for the egg to hatch on it's own. I love the moral of the story about being patient, as well as the inclusion of library research. But the best part of this tale is the humor! I listened to a temporary advanced listening copy of this audiobook provided by Macmillan Audio. But I can honestly say that I loved this story. My three year old grandson was enchanted and your little ones will love this story too.

A cute halloween read! What a funny take on getting a new pet. I think kids will love and laugh with this one.
