Very intrigued by this extract! It’s a short scene but it packs in so much, I’m particularly interested in the character dynamics; between the sisters and also between their mother and uncle. I liked the differing points of view the sisters had regarding the war being waged. I also liked the atmospheric descriptions and the heightening tension.
I’d love to read the full version and have a grasp of the political machinations and character development. Many thanks for the opportunity to read the extract.

Thank you to Netgalley and Head of Zeus for this extract from Elodie Harper's upcoming Boudicca's Daughter.
I absolutely loved the Wolf Den trilogy so, when I heard there was an extract available I logged on so quickly to get it.
The extract is a short chapter -it was only about 8 pages if I recall correctly but, I can tell the book is going to be fantastic. Elodie has a true talent with immersing one in the POV character's mind including what the environment around them would entail.
I will be buying a copy come August 28th!

This is a review of the first chapter of Boudicca's Daughter.
An excellent start to what I am sure will be another terrific novel from Elodie Harper. I loved the Wolf Den series. Harper writes so well about the past and does a terrific job of showing the often forgotten female point of view, Can't wait to read this.
Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the ARC.

I only received an extract for this novel. I’m so excited for this book! Boudicca’s story told through her daughter’s eyes? Genius. Elodie Harper’s writing is vivid and immersive—you can feel the grit of battle, the hunger in the camps, and the weight of history. If the full book is as layered and gripping as this excerpt, we’re in for something special. Can’t wait to dive into the full story when it’s out!

A stunning piece of literary fiction that will pull on your heart strings and make you question so many truths. A powerful read.

Elodie Harper? You have indeed done it again! I met her in person at an event she was moderating. I can't wait until we get the full book!

I didn't realise this was only an extract but it was so good! I now need to read the rest. I love Boudica, she has been a form favourite for me ever since I learned about her when I was little.
They taught us a song about her and till this day i remember it!
I cannot wait to read more!

I love Elodie Harper's 'Wolf Den' trilogy so I had high hopes for this...and it did not disappoint. While it is tough to write a review on just a handful of pages what I can say is that I think that this will be amazing. In the few pages I read I was pleased to see all the elements there - a strong and well defined female lead, beautifully detailed historical setting and incredible writing.
I can't wait to get my hands on the full story!
Thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for this sample ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Boudicca's Daughter by Elodie Harper follows Solina who is raised in the shadow of her mother's greatness. In the extract we get some insight into Bellenia, as well as Solina, and I'm intrigued to know more about their relationship with each other and with Boudicca.
This is my first experience of reading Elodie Harper and it did not disappoint. I'll definitely be getting the Wolf Den trilogy into the TBR pile! Despite the extract being only 8 pages, I was hooked and can't wait to read the book. What atmospheric writing. I think that us fans of historical fiction are going to be happy with this one! Thank you Head of Zeus for providing this extract for review via NetGalley... although what a tease!!

The extract was only a few pages but was enough to wet the appetite and I look forward to reading the whole thing.
My thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for giving me the opportunity to read an advanced digital extract in return for an honest review.

Wow! What an extract to read!
In such a short amount of words, I was drawn into this savage but luscious world, sat side by side with Solina and Bellenia on the edge of battle.
The glimpse I got of this extraordinary tale, with these strong, fierce women has whetted my appetite and I’m now hungry for more.
I think this is my sign to read Wolf Den (I actually own the trilogy) because, if this is anything to go by, I may have found myself a new favourite historical fiction author!
Thank you Head of Zeus, for the teaser but damn you, too! I want the whole book now! lol
My new most anticipated read this year!

I do not think words cannot describe how excited I am for Boudicca's Daughter.
This brief, yet vivid extract of what to expect solidified the immense yearning of reading the entire book. In a day. Or less. One sitting? Most likely.

Compelling and moreish! Gosh I need more than just the extract! This is looking to be a fantastic read and I cant wait to read the whole book!

I can already tell that this book is going to be incredible! Such a tense and exciting chapter - I’m very much looking forward to gaining more context and learning more about these characters!

I love the concept of the book and the extract confirms that this will be right up my street and I'll be buying it when released!

This seems to be told from the viewpoint of one of Boudicca’s daughters. The sample I read seems to start just before a raid on London and the daughters are told to wait behind. One will not and charges down on the side of London where her mother is not. The other gives chase to help her.
Has the makings of a brilliant story and I cannot wait to read the full book.

God I am SO excited to read the full book later this year. From this extract I already have such a clear picture of Solina’s character and her relationship with the other members of her family. The theme of rebellion is strong and very timely. Elodie Harper just keeps writing absolute hits

AHHH it's torture this is only an extract!! Elodie Harper is such a phenomenal storyteller, I already knew this after reading The Wolf Den trilology. Just one chapter from Boudicca's Daughter and I am blown away by how engaging and immersive her writing is in this book. I am completely stuck in. I felt like I was there, I have so many questions! I wanted to annotate so much just from this one chapter! And as a horse lover, I am lovvvinggg the amount of detail we get with Tan and Kintu. Speaking of, the names! Obsessed. I need the rest of this book NOW NOW NOW. Please Head of Zeus! Please give it to me!

Only a short extract but this is instantly gripping! Very curious to read this one and find out what happens next.

Thank you giving me the opportunity to review in exchange for a fair and honest review. I liked the premise of Boudicca's Daughter but had to DNF as I don't the extract made any sense. I hope others will enjoy more than me.
