This is a Romantic Suspense. This book is a fast paced action packed with cute moments and romance mixed into it. I really enjoy getting to the characters in this book, but my favorite is the dog and the little boy. I did feel at times there was just so much going on. This was a book I could not put down. I received an ARC of this book. This review is my own honest opinion about the book like all my reviews are.

Wyoming Wilderness Survival delivers a fierce, faith-rooted journey through unforgiving terrain where danger waits behind every tree and justice feels as treacherous as icy mountain passes. The pursuit by ruthless killers forces Tracey and Callum into the deep wilds with a vulnerable child in tow, navigating cliffs, wildlife, and their own haunted pasts. The setting itself feels like a crucible testing what vengeance truly costs—and what forgiveness demands.
The story holds nothing back about the destructive power of hatred. “…hadn’t God said that vengeance was His and promised to deliver it in His way and in His time? Hadn’t Jesus warned people against indulging hatred in their hearts? … because hatred destroyed the heart that harbored it.” These words give the chase weight beyond survival, offering a sober reminder that taking justice into human hands can destroy the soul long before enemies do.
Amid roaring rivers and shadowy woods, there is the steady call to grace. “Forgiveness … is about setting the offended party free mentally and emotionally to lead a healthy life.” The characters’ choices reflect the raw, sometimes reluctant surrender required to trust God and His timing. This thread of obedience and dependence on Him brings quiet power to the relentless suspense.
Jill Elizabeth Nelson proves herself a skilled storyteller who doesn’t sacrifice spiritual truth for the sake of thrills. Wyoming Wilderness Survival balances heart-pounding tension with a clear-eyed reckoning with sin, mercy, and the promise of freedom that comes only when vengeance is left in God’s hands. A stark, beautifully Christian adventure of survival in the wildest places—both on the map and in the heart.
I received a digital ARC from the publisher via NetGalley. I am not required to write a positive review nor paid to do so. This is my honest and unbiased review. My thoughts and opinions expressed in this book review are my own. My review focuses on the great writing and the story’s wonderful content, ensuring transparency and reliability.

Tracey Graham was convicted of murder and is on her way to prison. She was framed for the murder by the mob and now the guards are about to turn her over to the mob. When she manages to escape, she runs into ex-cop Callum Mitchell. Callum also has had problems with the mob family.
As Tracey and Callum make a run for it they also now know someone is helping the mob find them.

Wyoming Wilderness Survival is a good, quick romantic suspense story. The romance was sweet and the suspense intense as Tracey Graham; her protector, Callum Mitchell; his two-year-old son, Brody; and Callum's dog work to survive in the wilderness of Wyoming as they flee from a crew sent to murder them all. Callum's skills as a former Idaho State Police officer are invaluable in their endeavor to stay alive as is his knowledge of the area, but being chased by a band of mercenaries while caring for a toddler and lacking adequate provisions certainly complicates matters.
I appreciate romance that follows a godly path, yet is not so idealistic that it avoids difficulties that accompany any maturing relationship. I am grateful to have received a complimentary copy of Wyoming Wilderness Survival from Love Inspired via NetGalley without obligation. All opinions expressed here are my own.

I enjoyed reading the story about Tracey and Callum, along with his toddler son, running for their lives. Tracey is a convicted murderer and Callum is an ex-cop just trying to survive day to day. Tracey was set up to take the fall for a murder and was being transported to a state penn. Callum wants to be left alone but the bad guys goes after him also.
I enjoyed reading this book. It was fast paced and full of action and I highly recommend it.
I was given this book by Love Inspired Suspense via Net/Galley in exchange for an honest review. I was not compensated in any way.

Wyoming Wilderness Survival brings us an intense, at times terrifying story of revenge and a journey that will set one woman free to embrace the love she’s found in the most unlikely circumstances. Tracey has been framed for a crime she did not commit. While being transported to prison, the prison bus she’s on has been ambushed by two men who will stop at nothing but her death. Escaping into the wilderness, Tracey will need all her wits and courage to outrun them… only to run into the one man who believes in her innocence and offers his protection as they, along with his toddler son, Brody, and his massive dog, Bo, make their way further into the wilderness to escape the man-made danger. Yet, on their own, now they’ll face weather, terrain, and wildlife just as dangerous in many ways as the men who are on their trail.
Wyoming Wilderness Survival by Jill Elizabeth Nelson is a gripping story of survival, outwitting danger on multiple fronts, and finding a love that not only offers protection in the moments of danger, but also for the rest of their lives. Tracey and Callum are a believable couple in unusual circumstances. If you love a suspense-filled, well-written, emotional romance that will keep you on edge throughout until the final page, then you’d love this one.
*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley, and I sincerely thank the author or publishing house for their trust. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*

The cover art of this book caught my eye, and I decided a little romance mixed in with the thrillers I love couldn't hurt. Jill Elizabeth Nelson pulls readers along on a fast-paced chase as Tracy and Callum are pursued by killers. While WYOMING WILDERNESS SURVIVAL may not reach #1 of the NY Times, it's a great way to spend an afternoon reading.

New author for me, I want to read more of. Fast paced page turner with non-stop action. Love the depth of both Callum and EMT Tracey. Brody, Callums son and Callums dog Bo brought awe moments. Callum finds Tracey in the woods and takes her home to help. Things go downhill and they are on the run. The bad guys seem to multiply like bunnys. They say everything happens for a reason and reading this book and the passage on evil and not rejoicing in anger, to let it go, I so needed to hear. The HEA for a furry one (no, not the dog) was also a heart moment. Thank you for the advance copy. I freely share my honest thoughts and opinions. #WyomingWildernessSurvival #JillElizabethNelson #LoveInspiredSuspense #Harlequin #NetGalley Releases today 7/1/25

Hang on tight as this book is full of action and danger with some romance and humor mixed in. What are the chances that a former detective and an escaped prisoner, convicted of murder, will find themselves working together against a mutual enemy. One powerful family and their minions against a former cop, an EMT, a toddler and a very protective and large dog in the wilderness. Who will make it back to civilization and when will justice be served? How many times can a person face death and win?

Wow! This was such a great book. It's part of the Love Inspired Suspense books from Harlequin. It's about Tracey who is falsely accused of murder and is being hunted down by two brothers and other thugs. Her only chance of survival is to team up with a man, his toddler and his dog. You laugh, but they are a formidable group.
I was so invested in this book. It's full of danger and excitement and I stayed up way too late reading it and I talked to everyone I knew about it because it was all I could think of.
This was an ARC from Netgalley, so thank you to them, the publisher and the author. This is my honest review and I can't wait to read more from this series and this author.

This book is a great read! It's a page turner that will keep you hooked until the end. It has wonderful characters, both human and animal, and a plot that keeps you turning the pages to see what happens next. I highly recommend this book.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions shared here in this review are my own.

Wyoming Wilderness Survival by Jill Elizabeth Nelson is an action-packed tale. I was drawn into the story right away. There is action, danger, and suspense. I liked that I could feel the tension and the character’s emotions. The Fairburn’s were cruel and relentless. The pair use their influence and money to ensure that they got their desired outcome (revenge). I thought Tracey and Callum were great characters. There was definitely chemistry between them. I also liked Callum’s son, Brody and his protective dog, Bo. Callum, Tracey, and Bo made a indomitable threesome. They will need every advantage if they are to survive the mercenaries after Tracey. The author’s vivid descriptions allowed me to envision Callum’s cabin and the Wind River Mountain Range. I would not want to go into those woods without bear spray. I do not know how you can forgive such cruel individuals as the Fairburn’s. That is the lesson that continues to elude me. I enjoyed the epilogue which nicely wrapped up the story. I like it when I finish a book smiling. Wyoming Wilderness Survival is captivating tale with a framed EMT, a wrecked transport, a fleeing fugitive, prosperous sore losers, a rambling bruin, a helpful woodsman, a protective canine, a helicopter with killers, and a blossoming romance.

Jill Nelson did a fabulous job getting the reader suckef in from the beginning. I flew through this story quickly & couldn't wait to see how it all played out. Wyoming Wilderness Survival had all of the elements we know., love & expect from a love inspired - romance, intrigue, suspense. Fabulous story.

Thanks to Netgalley for my review copy.
WOW what can I say. I started this book last night around 9.30pm thinking I will just read a few chapters. That was the idea at 2am I had finished the book. I haven't read a book in one sitting for around 13 years. But I could not put this book down. Right from the start I was hooked.
The book starts with the heroine Tracey being transferred in a prison van. She's convicted of a crime she didn't commit. She is ambushed by the ones who framed her and want her dead and flees into the Wyoming Wilderness. Meanwhile the hero Callum is living in an isolated cabin with his 2-and-a-half-year-old son Brody and huge dog Bo. This is where they meet and find they have a common enemy.
They find themselves in a fight for survival trying to outrun the bad guys wanting them dead. Bo is a big dog and Tracey is very unsure and scared of him. I could fully understand how she felt as I have the same fear. Bo is very protective of Brody and his family.
We also have another star of the book in a Bear which Tracey names. The bear features several times and is quite scary but I secretly did feel for him. Bo and Brody also bring some light moments to the book. This book is full of suspense and danger and as mentioned is a page turner. There is also a faith element which fits with the characters.
If you like suspense with danger round every corner with a strong story line I would recommend this book. It's the first book I have read by this author and won't be my last. Although next time I will start earlier in the day.

A very well written, fast paced Love Inspired Suspense.
I was immediately drawn into the characters & it was hard to put the book down. I enjoyed the plot & characters, with many unpredictable twists & turns.
I felt for the characters, was surprised by some twists & ultimately glad for how it turned out.
Being from Wyoming originally was what initially drew me to the book, but I enjoyed it & thought it was well done.
Thanks to Netgalley & the publisher for this ARC read. All opinions are my own.

Another fantastic read and from a new to me author.
This is a fast paced story that had many twists and turns that kept me turning the pages quickly.
Wonderful characters with a plot that will make your toes curl and the hair stand up on the back of your neck.
I loved the description of Wyoming and it made me feel like I was there! Wow!
I love Tracy's and Callum show their courage and determination to survive what life threw at them.
Didn't care for the bad guys but then I never do and of course there wouldn't be a story.
I finished it in one evening of course since it is an LIS book. But, a very good one.
5 stars from me for the action/adventure that kept me turning the pages quickly.
I highly recommend. I love love the cover!
My thanks for a copy of this book. I was NOT required to write a positive review. All opinions expressed are mine.

A new-to-me author, Jill Nelson, captured my attention from page one. Tracey Graham is on her way to prison - convicted of a crime she didn't commit - when the prison van is ambushed and she is chased through the wilderness by ruthless killers. As she flees, she encounters an ex-cop, Callum Mitchell, who has his own set of secrets. Suddenly he is caught up in the deadly game of cat and mouse and they barely escape with their lives. With his toddler son in tow, can they outwit their pursuers before it's too late? And will Callum come to trust this enigmatic woman? A riveting tale that will keep you up way past bedtime. I look forward to reading more from this talented author!

Very good read. Highly recommend reading. Action Packed. Good characters. Love it when the good guys win!
