Under the Tuscan sun...

I really am enjoying Sophie Pembroke's books. This one is delicious. Set in Tuscany, Daphne, who has devoted herself to the needs of her family finally is gifted a cooking trip to the villa where she once had an affair with Luca. Luca has become a successful chef and its a reunion under the Tuscan sun for these two former lovers.
Strong writing, Tuscany, cooking and second chances make for great summer reading.
Recommend.

Daphne, after years of putting her family first, finally takes a step for herself by attending a cookery course in Tuscany. The surprise? It’s held at the very villa where she once shared a passionate summer with Luca, the man who stole her heart. Now a famous celebrity chef, Luca’s reappearance turns a nostalgic escape into an unexpected reunion.

Their chemistry is undeniable, and the emotional pull between them is as rich as the food they cook together. Pembroke excels at portraying the bittersweet ache of lost time, while weaving in hope, healing, and the idea that it’s never too late to choose happiness.

The Tuscan setting adds warmth and charm, making the book feel like a mini-holiday filled with good food, scenic beauty, and romance. Daphne’s journey of self-discovery, combined with Luca’s vulnerability beneath his polished exterior, makes for a satisfying and emotionally resonant read. This is a tender and beautifully written second-chance romance set against the sun-drenched, romantic backdrop of the Italian countryside. Sophie Pembroke delivers a heartfelt story about rediscovering oneself—and the love that once got away.

Daphne attends a cooking course in Tuscany—only to reunite with her first love, celebrity chef Luca. Will Daphne finally prioritize herself and find the courage to pursue a second chance at lasting romance?

This is a dreamy story set in a romantic location, full of the heartache of a lost first love. It’s steamy and emotional with well-developed characters.

Thanks, NetGalley, for the ARC I received. This is my honest and voluntary review.
