In a world drowning in therapy-speak and self-help catchphrases, Psychobabble is a refreshing, razor-sharp, and deeply compassionate reality check. Joe Nucci masterfully cuts through the noise, debunking the most persistent myths in modern mental health culture with wit, clarity, and a clinician’s insight. This is not just a guide to spotting misinformation—it’s a map back to grounded, evidence-based understanding of what truly helps us heal and grow. Whether you’re a mental health professional, a self-help enthusiast, or simply someone navigating the flood of advice online, this book will leave you wiser, more discerning, and surprisingly hopeful.

This book was so very, very simplistic. As a reader, I wanted more detail; however, it is designed to counterpoint the kind of misinformation available in 30 second snippets available on social media, so I think it was meant to appeal to the short attention span crowd. There is no shortage of people with short attention spans that are susceptible to misinformation, so I will buy it.
