A heartbreaking and informative memoir and exposé, the world would be a much better place if every literate human was open to reading and then implementing kinder practices towards all animals, and then sharing that information with their illiterate counterparts. Whilst, alas, it’s such a large industry that may never be, nonetheless this book is such important work. Gave a 4 only because parts were so graphic and distressing to read, that it hurt the book. However I still realize how poignant this piece of prose is, and hope further changes can come on both personal and business levels as a result of it.
