Meet Me at Midnight was such a good book! Juniper, Junie, June....our main character is a women who has been best friends with Avery and has been a part of their family in the absence of her own parent. Beau, Avery's older brother, is just that - her older brother...or is he? Juniper has had a crush on Beau since the day she met him but because of her friendship with Avery, never pursued him. That is, until the Meet Me at Midnight campaign begins, where Beau is leading on of two team in the market campaign efforts. The premise is simple. No strings, only accessible by invitation code, and you can be as honest (or not) as you choose. What started as a way to let Beau know his competition was trying to steal his ideas turned into something neither one expected. Beau is Avery's brother, so how can Juniper go down this forbidden path of what starts as simple flirting but rapidly progresses to more meaningful conversation and attraction? You'll just have to read or listen to this story to find out! I had the pleasure of receiving a review copy of this audiobook in exchange for my honest review. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this opportunity.

Tropes: secret crush, best friend’s brother
Meet Me at Midnight by Max Monroe is a wonderful blend of humor and romance that had me hooked from the very beginning. The witty disclaimer set the tone, and I loved it so much, I finished in a single day. It has undoubtedly secured a spot in my top five reads of the year.
Juniper Perry has harbored a decade-long crush on her best friend’s older brother, Beau Banks. When the opportunity arises to anonymously chat with him, she seizes it, leading to late-night conversations. As their professional and personal lives intertwine, Juniper navigates the challenges of secret affections, workplace dynamics, and the complexities of revealing her true identity.
Meet Me at Midnight is a must-read.

Meet Me at Midnight Honest ARC Review:
Funny, endearing and entertaining, this novel is a great addition to your TBR!
This is a very relatable story with a little suspense and hilarious moments.
The chemistry between June and Beau was sizzling!
Will June and Beau remain together once their identities are revealed? Will they be able to have a relationship while working with one another?
I love that when it comes down to it, Beau seeks advice from his mother. The two bond and this just made me appreciate his character more. June was reflective and tried her best to remain professional. Her character was very relatable!
I really enjoyed reading this and look forward to more from Max Monroe!

Thank you for sharing this ARC with me.

The humor didn't quite land for me (I found it a bit funny, but I think the author's note honestly set an expectation that it just didn't personally meet for me). I think I could have still enjoyed it but I found the narration distracting. I may try reading the ebook at some point and see if it works better for me in that format.

Out now! Thank you Dreamscape for the copy to read and review!
The narration production on this one was fantastic! This is a duet narration with each "Part" alternating between Juniper and Beau's POVs.
Both narrators had great pacing and emotion, plus a duet narration is just so fun! Highly recommend getting this one on audio if you can!
I loved lots of aspects of this story. Juniper seems so sweet and hardworking you can't help but love her immediately. Especially with that opening scene! That was lots of LOLs 😹 The anonymous app messaging was a fun way for these two to communicate and get to know each other. Their convos get deeper, more meaningful and WAY more steamy as the weeks go on. Their texts are HOT, my peeps. Their relationship also seemed to grow naturally through the messaging, they start fun and flirty and got more into serious stuff until finally agreeing to "meet" in person. Avery's character was so fun. She might rub a lot of readers the wrong way with her character traits but I thought she was really there for June when it mattered. Excited to see she's getting her book next!
The aspects I did not love: this leans heavily on "I hid my crush on my childhood best friend's older brother for a decade" and it just seems like, you have to know people will notice how you longingly look at this dude for years and years, lol. Also, the 3rd act breakup was not it for me. I completely understand that Juniper doesn't want to lose her "found family" but you eventually have to stop lying and hiding; plus, you have to know your friend is going to get over her shit. The later parts dragged on a biiiit too long for me. Like, we only need to hear how you're lying and hiding this from the family for so long until we need something more to happen.

Will I ever get bored of Max Monroe Audiobooks... Definitely not! Meet Me at Midnight was adorable and funny.
Juniper (June)was pretty much abandoned by her uber wealthy parents at a young age. Her best friend Avery and her family treat her as one of their own. From the moment June met Avery's brother Beau, she was smitten. She developed a life long crush that she was convinced would never go away.
June and Avery start working at the family's marketing firm and interns and everything begins to change. Avery rarely shows up to work and June covers for them both. The first scene with the cat filter on zoom is absolutely priceless.
When June realizes someone is trying to steal Beau's ideas for a major project, she decides to step in by messaging him on the anonymous Meet Me at Midnight App. He begins to fall for her as they continue chatting nightly even though she won't divulge how she is.
On another note, I usually dislike over the top, spoiled divas. Avery should be at the top of that list but she is just so funny. Her antics with her father made me laugh out loud so many times. I look forward to her story.

You ever start a book and imediately know you're going to love it? Well that was how this book was for me. When the book started with "Pussy cat" being repeated over and over again in the most secondhand embarassment way possible, you know it's going to be good. Thunderstruck and Elizabeth were such perfect "names" for these characters. I found myself yelling at the void to "JUST TELL AVERY" so many times. I was invested. And the tea dropped at the end???? I'm sorry what?!!! I need the next book in this series like I need air to breathe. As soon as the audio finished I was looking up when book two comes out, that's how badly I need it.

Cute light-hearted read.
The title of the book is what initially hooked me. I mean a best friend's borther, secrete identity, workplace romance, sign me up.
Juniper has been in love with her best friend's brother for more than 10 years, but Beau has always been in a relationship. June comes off as shy and reserved in the begging and is afraid to make her feeling know for fear of losing the only people who have ever felt like family to her. Taking a risk she decides to message Beau anonymously and thus begin their late night chats. The story had all to attributes to make it great, but honestly after Juniper's identity is discovered halfway through the book the chemistry between the main characters kind of fizzled out a bit. Beau all of a sudden realizes that he has feelings for his sister's best friend and isn't even upset to discover June wasn't being honest about her identity. They decide to keep their relationship secrete because June doesn't know how her best friend will react. Honestly, the sister was my least favorite character, so pushy and self-centered. Overall, it was a cute light-hearted read.

Meet Me at Midnight is the perfect mix of fun, romance, and a little bit of mischief. Juniper Perry has been in love with Beau Banks for as long as she can remember. Since she was basically adopted into the Banks family, thanks to her lifelong friendship with their daughter Avery, Beau has always been a part of her life.
Fast forward to Juniper being 23 and working at the Banks family company alongside Avery (who, let's be honest, isn’t exactly pulling her weight). There's some serious competition going on between Beau and another employee, and when Juniper learns some juicy information that could hurt Beau's chances, she decides to play detective. She anonymously messages him as a mystery woman to tip him off, and the twist? Beau falls for her, not knowing who she is.
Watching Beau realize the truth about Juniper’s secret identity was honestly one of my favorite parts. The way he starts seeing her in a completely new light is just so sweet.
I listened to the audiobook, and let me tell you, the narrators absolutely nailed it. They really brought the characters to life, especially with all the witty banter that made me laugh out loud. If you’re in the mood for a charming, feel-good rom-com, this book is definitely one to pick up!
4.25 Stars!

Meet Me at Midnight was such a cute and sweet story. There was also drama and steam but the cutesy-sweetness was at the forefront. I enjoyed Juni and Beau's story and the way it was told, it added an extra oomph to it.
I loved listening to this book. It was told in duet narration which I also loved. I wasn't fond of the male narrator's, Alexander Cendese voice at first but he grew on me and I ended up loving his performance. He truly did an awesome job bringing these characters to life. As always C.J. Bloom did an amazing job voicing these characters and bringing their quirks and personalities to life.
Meet Me at Midnight was a joy to listen to and I can't wait to read Beau's sister's story.
I definitely recommend this book.

🌌This is my first book by Monroe and it started off with a bang! Whoa! I knew a spicy hot wild ride was in store for me, but not this spicy! Beau and Juniper are an interesting pair. They sneak off and enjoy the passion and wily antics of forbidden love.
☄️Once they get to the hotel to enjoy a night alone, all hell breaks loose and it doesn’t go as planned. The spice spices up and the problems follow suit. I feel this story is well put together and the characters have flair. There are moments of love and passion, care, frustration and so many more emotions winding through this book. The secondary characters are full of life and important to the story.
🏨 I really liked the narrators, C.J. Bloom and Alexander Cendese. I thought they were spot on with how I thought the characters would sound. I am glad I read this book. I will definitely read more by Monroe. Thank you NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for the ARC of this book.

Best friend’s older brother? Billionaire romance? Sign me up! I absolutely loved this audiobook!
Juniper Perry has had a crush on Beau Banks for years like over a decade. But there are just a few problems. He’s her best friend’s older brother, her new next-door neighbor, and technically her boss. Talk about off-limits. But thanks to a little anonymity, she’s found a way to get close to him through their secret midnight chats. He has no idea she’s the one he’s been talking to night after night, and she’s determined to keep it that way. But secrets have a way of coming out, especially when feelings start getting way too real.
This book was so much fun! Juniper’s internal freak-outs were hilarious, and her chemistry with Beau was off the charts. And the way everything unfolds had me grinning and swooning all at once. The narrators, C.J. Bloom and Alexander Cendese, absolutely nailed it too! Making the story even more addictive. If you love a swoony, funny, and secretly pining romance with a touch of forbidden tension, this one's for you!

A Fun, Flirty, and Heartfelt Romance
Meet Me at Midnight is an engaging rom-com filled with witty banter, sizzling chemistry, and just the right amount of emotional depth. Max Monroe delivers a charming enemies-to-lovers story with plenty of playful pranks, tension, and swoon-worthy moments.
The characters are well-developed, and their dynamic keeps the story entertaining. The slow-burn romance builds naturally, making the payoff all the more satisfying. While the humor and charm are definite highlights, some parts of the story felt a bit predictable, and a few moments dragged slightly. However, the engaging writing and lovable characters more than make up for it.
Overall, it's a delightful, feel-good read perfect for fans of lighthearted romance with a touch of mischief. Definitely worth picking up!

Okay, this could have been a good book, but boy, it had some weird characters. Let's talk FMC, no courage whatsoever. I get it you're scared of losing the one thing that's good in your life, but really a 10+ year crush. Get a grip. Beau is clueless and for a top exec not too smart. Avery, she's worthy of an asylum and some psychiatric help. She's pretty vile.
Narration was decent. It was eve. Great for most of it, but some parts were not good.

Juniper has had a crush on her best friend's brother, Beau for the longest time. When she starts interning at this father's company, she is thrilled at the chance to see him on a regular basis. When an anonymous app becomes available for her to chat with him, Juniper jumps at the chance. As the two become regular midnight chat buddies, Beau asks the question Juniper doesn't want to hear - when can they meet? I absolutely adored this book! It was sweet, funny and sexy. The audiobook was narrated extremely well and I had a ball listening to it.

Narration 🎧🎧🎧🎧🎧
Max Monroe never fails to crack me up with the antics their characters bring in their books. Think took me all the way back to the Georgia and Kline days a bit with a similar premise of hidden identity over a love match app and workplace relationship. Add in best friend’s brother and June and Beau are cooking. I loved their banter and how comfortable they are as June is a pseudo-member of the Banks family already. It was fun seeing their relationship morph from best friends brother/little sisters best friend to more. I will say, Avery, the best friend/little sister annoyed the hell out of me, and I’m sure that was on purpose. I can wait to see her wiley club hopping days be tamed in her upcoming story, or maybe they won’t since Henry is the adrenaline junkie. 😂😂
Alexander and CJ did amazing in this duet narration. I love how comfortable they seemed like they truly were June and Beau.

I received this audiobook from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. The narration was fine- nothing special and not my favorite narrators, but it was okay. I could tell who was talking and I do like dual narrators. The book itself was also fine. Nothing really noteworthy about it, a light easy read. The sister really grated on my nerves.

This was such a good book. I loved the story and the writing so much. The characters were great and the story flowed smoothly. Will definitely read more books by this author in the future.

As a long-time Max Monroe reader, I was excited to see that they had a new release!
Meet Me at Midnight is about Juniper and Beau. She is his younger sister's best friend and has been around the family for over a decade, and if she's being honest with herself, she's loved him just as long.
Now they are both grown up, and she interns at her friend's family company, where he works, and her friend pretty much does nothing. Through a series of events, she finds out some important information she wants to share with him and decides to use a new anonymous app that the company is working with. Where will things go?
Junie's friend Avery gives big Alexis Rose vibes, and although the family is definitely enabling, they are also so very loving and a great support for Junie, whose parents are very MIA. I loved their dynamics, and I'm curious to see where things go with Avery.
The 3rd act conflict is sort of expected, but BLESSEDLY short. Overall, it's a fun read! Max Monroe are good with a down bad man, and this book is another example of that.
Trope check:
* Dual POV (Love a dual pov in contemporary! Characters can be in the dark about how others feel, but I certainly like to be in the know.)
* ”I’m in love with my best friend’s older brother”
* Secret, forbidden, off-limits romance (see above)
* Addicting Banter
* Forced Proximity (next-door neighbors)
* She falls first, but he falls harder
* Boss/Employee workplace romance (not an iffy power dynamics situation, though)
* Texting/S3xting
I was so excited when I realized the audiobook would be a duet narration! I wish more books were done this way. Sometimes, I'm taken out of audio when a narrator tries to do both male and female voices. Both narrators spoke clearly, and I could speed up the audio without issue.
Thanks to Dreamscape Media for an ALC of this audiobook for an honest review.

I was sooo excited about this book, I was so happy to get an advanced audio copy for this because the premise seemed so up my ally. But damn I was so disappointed in the execution. The FMC was just so unlikable, and don't even get me started on the friend.... This book was an example that saying over and over how obsessed the FMC is with the MMC doesn't actually make it believable. You have to actually show some yearning and some development of feelings for me to buy it. I really do not like insta-love
I think this book is somewhere between the 2 and 3 stars because I do think the story progression was pretty good and the texting was fun, but I also just truly didn't care for the characters so I cannot rate it any higher. I also just have a huge pet peeve when people talk about 13 year old's like they are adults now, so yea that didn't help. At least it was a nice quick listen while in a couple of hours.
Thank you so much for the advance audio copy, the narration was wonderful!
