So cute and cozy. The simple rhyming text is perfect. The color scheme and whole vibe is just perfect for a snuggly winter read. I'm excited to see there will be a book for every season.
I will purchase all 4 in the series for my library and share widely. Thank you for the ARC.

This is a super cute rhyming book, where the rhyming actually works. The illustrations are so cute! I'm a cuddler myself, so I really appreciate this picture book.

Jaimie MacGibbon's new series shares in the delights of the different seasons. Snuggle Season is the first book and is about winter. This is a cute read for children 2-5.
This book will be published on October 14, 2025. Thank you to Quirk Books and NetGalley for an advanced reader's copy. Opinions expressed are my own.

In Snuggle Season, a family moves through their winter routine while conceptualizing each of their actions as a different kind of "snuggle." From the first snuggle in the early morning when the kids wake up and them roll over and cuddle back into their warm beds, to the "snuggle" of warm socks and clothes going onto their bodies as they are dressed by their caretakers, to a pre-bedtime "wrestling snuggle" with pillows and blankets.
The concept of the story is simple, but sweet. Snuggle Season invites children and families to reflect on the characteristics that make each season special, while also framing the daily routine and tasks of life as a series of loving snuggles/gestures. The art style pairs well with the narrative, highlighting sources of light and warmth within the house and creating a rich winter landscape without. I think that, especially when accompanied by the other seasonal books that are to follow, this is and will continue to be a sweet series of books.
