"The Webs You Weave" is a gripping psychological thriller. The way the narrator changes between characters depending on who's points of view is being presented was a great touch to the audiobook. It gives you a deeper understanding of each character and keeps the story fresh and engaging. The suspense is top-notch, with twists and turns that keep you guessing and just when you think you've got it worked out, it completely flips and we get new information. Overall, it's a fantastic book that I recommend!

Give me cheating husbands crazy woman and a unrelatiable narrator everytime and I will eat it up with a big spoon and come back for seconds. This book was perfect for the phcological thriller itch I was feeling. The writing was sharp and twisted and kept me on the edge of my seat wondering what was real what was false and what was gaslighted. I loved Meghan the main character ( and I'm not just saying that because we have the same name but it didn't hurt) I loved her confidence and ruthlessness and how in his own ways her husband was afraid of her. I loved the multiple povs it really gave me a complete story from all different perspectives . Thw twists also where done great there big twists and all ones I honestly didn't see coming. I found myself yelling outloud towards the end because I was rooting for some damage after all that had transpired. Great writing and I felt the fear and tension heavy in this book as well as the unrelatable narrator angle and wondering if she was seeing and feeling these honest things or if her brain injury was somehow behind it all. Also the obsession and darkness was done so well I loved it. I am definitely going to read from this author again and I can't wait to see what other twisted books I can sink my teeth into. A great read that I recommend for all my thriller girlie's who like a little obsession sex and gaslighted with their thrillers.

One of the most twisty and unpredictable thrillers I have ever read.

Thanks to NetGalley I got to listen to the webs you weave by shade Owens as an audiobook and it had me gripped instantly. Following Meghan and Cole we learn early on that Meghan was involved in an accident that left her recovering from a brain injury and while she continues to do recover at home her husband is at work looking to provide for both his wife and their daughter Hazel but with the couple keeping secrets from both each other and the people around them the drama is endless. Serial cheater Cole has given Meghan more than enough reason to be suspicious of him once again and his actions are looking to have consequences for everybody.

This book never stopped with the twists and while I often find some phycological thrillers to be some what predictable this incredible book by Shade Owens kept me guessing right until the very end. I didn't know which narrator to trust, what would happen next and I certainly didn't see multiple twists coming the way they did. The constant revelations and twists kept me hooked and made it impossible to put this down. The audio throughout was incredible. the different voices brought everyone to life and made it feel as though a TV show was playing out in my head. The youth and heart and kindness from Hazel was evident, Cole and his untrustworthy yet convincing ability to tell a lie had me confused where I needed to be and Meghan felt like I best friend I wanted to save and shake into reality. The sound effects and muffled voices during phone call scenes and the little details added to the audio were unlike anything else I have experienced with an audiobook and created an incredible reading/listening experience.

Shade Owens gave each character depth and a background we consumed and believed. We were made to feel genuine emotion for the characters provided and the story of a marriage, suspicion and relationship struggles felt real and relatable but also the teenage character of Hazel and her internal battle with herself felt equally relatable and genuine.

I would highly recommend this book to those who love a twisty phycological read with in depth characters, unpredictable and unreliable narrators and a fresh take on the domestic thriller genre. The audio narration added even more to this book and separated it from so many other thriller reads. This for sure is one that will stay on your mind.

This psychological thriller had me hooked from the start! I had to know what happened next, and the multiple POVs kept the tension high. Meghan’s character growth, especially her increasing confidence, was one of my favorite aspects.

The audiobook production was fantastic. Each character’s voice was distinct and fitting, making the different POVs even more immersive. I really appreciated how well the narration enhanced the storytelling.

If you love psychological thrillers with strong character development and an engaging audiobook experience, I highly recommend this one! ⭐⭐⭐⭐

The Webs You Weave is a suspenseful thriller about a serial cheating husband, an angry wife, and a crazy ex-mistress who is willing to kill her own daughter to get. her man back. This audiobook was so exciting to listen to that I couldn't stop. I kept trying to find chores for me to do so that I could keep listening. The performance was wonderful and the storyline was suspenseful. It was my first Shade Owens book that I reviewed, but it will not be my last.
Thank you to NetGalley for allowing me to listen and review.

I listened to the audiobook and absolutely loved the dual narrators. This is definitely my new favorite way to listen to a book! I loved all the twists and turns. Perfect pacing and held my interest throughout. Highly recommend this one especially for fan of Freida McFadden and Kiersten Modglin.

The Webs You Weave is a psychological drama that delves into themes of infidelity, trust, betrayal, and family trauma. I especially enjoyed the audiobook version, as the use of multiple narrators brought each character to life.

Meghan and Cole have been married for over a decade, enduring their fair share of challenges. After Meghan suffers a life-altering brain injury, she, Cole, and their teenage daughter, Hazel, struggle to find a sense of normalcy in their daily lives.

Is Cole the devoted husband and loving father he appears to be? Or is he a manipulative, unfaithful, and selfish womanizer?

Is Meghan grappling with the lingering psychological effects of her injury, imagining things that aren’t really happening?

At times, I didn’t know what to believe! The ending will leave you speechless!

Thank you to NetGalley and Red Raven Publishing for this ARC of the audiobook.

This was definitely a roller coster of twists and turns. This book follows a couple. The wife had a terrible accident that left lifelong scars, both physical, emotional, and mentally. Meg is convinced her husband is a serial cheater and that her daughter doesn't love her anymore.

A lot of webs are definitely made, and most characters, in my opinion, were hard like or even felt for them, since in the beginning, there was so much complaining and whining.

However, the book did have a few good turns,
with some good character development that it made it easier to sympathize with some of the characters, and it had a solid ending.

Pros:
-fast paced from the start
-unreliable narrators
-great audiobook narrators
- great sound effects (phone calls, voices, etc)

Cons:
- still some unanswered questions (her best friend, Chels, for example, why was she apart of the story?)
- twists weren’t exactly twists. You could see what was going on miles away.
-all of the characters sucked, including Meg. It didn’t make me root for Meg like I should have based on how horrible Cole was.

All in all, a decent thriller that starts from the very beginning!

The narrators were awesome & the effects were great! I listened at 1.75x.

I received an advance audiobook copy of The Webs You Weave by Shade Owens.

The narrators were great! This is a well written fast paced psychological thriller.

There were parts that had me questioning my own sanity before inevitably leaving my jaw dropped to the floor.

Definitely recommend if you're looking for unpredictable twists.

If you love a thriller that keeps you second-guessing everything, this one delivers! The best part? Meg. She’s completely unhinged—or maybe she’s not? The book does a great job making you question her sanity, her intentions, and even reality itself. One minute, you’re on her side, and the next, you’re wondering if she’s the real villain.

The twists are solid, the writing is strong, and the suspense keeps you hooked. That said, while it’s a fun, twisty read, it’s not exactly life-changing. The ending? Decent, but not mind-blowing. Worth picking up if you love psychological thrillers, but maybe not one you’ll still be thinking about months later.

This one kept me guessing until the very end. The accident that hurt Meghan I think should have come up sooner than it did. I am still confused on what happened to her. Some of the twists were super surprising and the big reveal at the end was so unexpected!

3.5 stars for me—definitely enjoyable, but not as mind-blowing as I hoped it would be.

Thank you to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for providing me with an ARC of this book.

I want to start by saying that the audio recording was fantastic! The sound effects were spot on, and the portrayal of the teenage character’s voice was really well done—definitely added to the experience.

The book started off strong, with a really engaging and promising plot. However, as the story progressed, it became a bit more predictable than I hoped. I was able to see most of the twists coming from a mile away, and unfortunately, the big twist didn’t have the emotional punch I was expecting.

While I did enjoy the overall experience, some parts of the story felt a little repetitive, and I found myself guessing the twists ahead of time. Even with those issues, I still had a good time reading and didn’t mind the experience overall.

Never trust anyone apparently. I was enthralled with this book from the very first chapter. Can't wait to look into more from this author.

If you look the word up in the dictionary, you will find a picture of this thriller next to 'the twistiest twisted piece of fiction ever'. Run, don't walk to get this if you enjoy thrillers that keep you guessing from one chapter to the next, where the alternating voices of the narrators make you think one is right and then the other and back to the first. A good old 'his and hers' à la Alice Feeney.

Thank you Netgalley for this ALC in exchange for an honest opinion.

I tried to listen to this audiobook multiple times, reaching 30% completion, but it was disappointing. The storyline felt slow and unenjoyable.

Both of the MCs were conniving in this book, which made the story intriguing and interesting. I kinda figured out the twist towards the end but it was still very good. I would recommend! The narration was great!

The Webs You Weave by Shade Owens is a psychological thriller that delivers on suspense but left me feeling somewhat underwhelmed in execution. The premise is intriguing—Meghan, recovering from a traumatic brain injury, suspects her husband, Cole, of infidelity, while Cole fears for his safety as her paranoia escalates. The setup promised a tangled web of deception and mistrust, which the book did deliver in parts.

What worked for me: The novel keeps you guessing, and the tension builds well throughout. There are some solid twists that caught me off guard, and the writing style is engaging enough to keep the pages turning. If you enjoy domestic thrillers with unreliable narrators, this book has those elements.

What didn’t quite hit the mark: While the suspense was there, I found the pacing uneven. Some sections dragged, while others felt rushed, especially toward the end. The characters, particularly Meghan and Cole, felt frustrating at times—understandable given their circumstances, but still difficult to connect with. Additionally, the twists, though surprising, didn’t fully land in a way that felt satisfying or well-developed.

Overall, The Webs You Weave is a decent read with a compelling concept, but it didn’t fully deliver the emotional or psychological depth I was hoping for.
