This one kept me guessing until the very end. The accident that hurt Meghan I think should have come up sooner than it did. I am still confused on what happened to her. Some of the twists were super surprising and the big reveal at the end was so unexpected!

3.5 stars for me—definitely enjoyable, but not as mind-blowing as I hoped it would be.
Thank you to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for providing me with an ARC of this book.
I want to start by saying that the audio recording was fantastic! The sound effects were spot on, and the portrayal of the teenage character’s voice was really well done—definitely added to the experience.
The book started off strong, with a really engaging and promising plot. However, as the story progressed, it became a bit more predictable than I hoped. I was able to see most of the twists coming from a mile away, and unfortunately, the big twist didn’t have the emotional punch I was expecting.
While I did enjoy the overall experience, some parts of the story felt a little repetitive, and I found myself guessing the twists ahead of time. Even with those issues, I still had a good time reading and didn’t mind the experience overall.

Never trust anyone apparently. I was enthralled with this book from the very first chapter. Can't wait to look into more from this author.

If you look the word up in the dictionary, you will find a picture of this thriller next to 'the twistiest twisted piece of fiction ever'. Run, don't walk to get this if you enjoy thrillers that keep you guessing from one chapter to the next, where the alternating voices of the narrators make you think one is right and then the other and back to the first. A good old 'his and hers' à la Alice Feeney.
Thank you Netgalley for this ALC in exchange for an honest opinion.

The Webs You Weave by Shade Owens is a tense, psychological thriller that delves deep into the complexities of trust, betrayal, and obsession. Narrated with gripping intensity, the story alternates between the perspectives of a wife, haunted by past trauma, and a husband who’s trying to navigate his marriage amidst growing suspicion and tension.
The plot centers around a woman who, despite enduring her husband's infidelity for years, is pushed to her breaking point when he crosses a line she can no longer ignore. Determined to teach him a lesson, she begins plotting a course that could have deadly consequences. Meanwhile, Cole, her husband, believes that his wife’s accusations and paranoia are linked to a traumatic brain injury she suffered in the past. He’s torn between his love for her and his fear that she’s slipping further into dangerous obsession.
Owens creates a raw and emotionally charged atmosphere, exploring themes of guilt, trust, and the limits of forgiveness. The audiobook brings the tension to life with its powerful narration, highlighting the conflicting emotions and mounting fears that both characters experience. The slow unraveling of their relationship, paired with dark, unpredictable twists, makes The Webs You Weave a gripping listen that keeps you on edge.
If you enjoy psychological thrillers that dive deep into troubled relationships and complex characters, The Webs You Weave offers a haunting, suspense-filled experience that will keep you hooked until the very end.

I tried to listen to this audiobook multiple times, reaching 30% completion, but it was disappointing. The storyline felt slow and unenjoyable.

Both of the MCs were conniving in this book, which made the story intriguing and interesting. I kinda figured out the twist towards the end but it was still very good. I would recommend! The narration was great!

The Webs You Weave by Shade Owens is a psychological thriller that delivers on suspense but left me feeling somewhat underwhelmed in execution. The premise is intriguing—Meghan, recovering from a traumatic brain injury, suspects her husband, Cole, of infidelity, while Cole fears for his safety as her paranoia escalates. The setup promised a tangled web of deception and mistrust, which the book did deliver in parts.
What worked for me: The novel keeps you guessing, and the tension builds well throughout. There are some solid twists that caught me off guard, and the writing style is engaging enough to keep the pages turning. If you enjoy domestic thrillers with unreliable narrators, this book has those elements.
What didn’t quite hit the mark: While the suspense was there, I found the pacing uneven. Some sections dragged, while others felt rushed, especially toward the end. The characters, particularly Meghan and Cole, felt frustrating at times—understandable given their circumstances, but still difficult to connect with. Additionally, the twists, though surprising, didn’t fully land in a way that felt satisfying or well-developed.
Overall, The Webs You Weave is a decent read with a compelling concept, but it didn’t fully deliver the emotional or psychological depth I was hoping for.

Super interesting book. I will definitely look for more books by this author. I enjoyed the suspense and the book held my interest.
Good job with the narration.

This was my first Shade Owens novel, but it definitely won't be my last. I love when I can read/listen to a book and become completely engrossed in the story. The pacing was quick and kept my attention throughout. The characters were well written, and the narration on this one was so good!

The Webs You Weave by Shade Owens, an audiobook narrated by Kaden Catalina and Jay Parker is a kind of mad and crazy psychological thriller that will make you question - what the heck is going on?
I absolutely enjoyed this audiobook - it was multilayered, with sound effects and fantastic narration. Both narrators did a fantastic job, you could feel they were connected with the story from the start to the end.
The main characters Megan, Cole, and daughter Hazel have some characteristics to like and dislike at the same time none of them are truly I love or hate ones.
I guessed some twists but really close to the twist reveal so can't say I saw them coming. And I loved the ending! It was a perfect Saturday read!
Megan survived a heavy accident and was left with one side paralysed. It's affected her work life, her marriage and sadly her relationship with her daughter Hazel.
Cole... hm... I don't know what to say about Cole... He is there when he is needed but does not show any extra effort, he is just there... There is nothing special about him!
Hazel is a confused 14-year-old who is trying to deal with her emotions and in some way the trauma of nearly losing her mother. She comes across as sharp but we can feel that she is just trying to protect herself.
There are enough layers to unwrap, enough secrets to discover and the most important part - it's just easy to enjoy this story!
This was an easy read! You dive in and just demolish it in one go! No jumping back and forth in time. There were some past events but just to complete the story.

This is my first book by this author but I definitely don't think it'll be my last!
There were plenty of twists and turns that kept me guessing until near the end and I really enjoyed having an unreliable narrator as it keep me questioning throughout.
None of the characters appealed to me so at times I did find them a tad annoying and some of this did feel a bit far fetched but overall was a fun read and reminded me of books by Frieda McFadden.
The narrators also did a superb job for this! They were engaging and drew me in.

What just happened?!?
This was a wild ride. I really didn’t know what was going to happen.
Cole sucks
Megan is wild
Justice for the secretaries
But I still have some questions because what !!?
Twisty, suspenseful and definitely captivating

This truly was a gripping psychological thriller. It was so hard to know which narrator to trust, but it quickly becomes obvious that Cole is scrum and uses and destroys the women in his life. I was actually hoping for a worse ending for him, but I suppose this was better justice for the women involved. Good story!
Thank you to NetGalley, the author Shade Owens, and Red Raven Publishing for my advance copy of this audiobook.

WOW! I have not listened to a thriller like this in a LONG time. I couldn't stop. It was so immersive and addicting. I was hooked. The twists were great. Predictable? Maybe, but not in the sense everyone would think. There's so much going on with multiple viewpoints that it keeps you guessing the entire time. I will be looking for more books by this author! Loved it from start to finish!
This does not have NEARLY enough hype, and I cannot wait to tell anyone and everyone to listen/read this!

3 5 stars
Neither the husband or wife were likeable characters. The Wife,s brain injury helps to make her unreliable character. The added addition of hazel, ( the daughter) and someone from their past added enough mystery to keep you guessing.
At times it was predictable and didnt flow as smoothly as it could. But I liked the narration and was invested to find out answers to all my questions. This is my first book from this author and I will be picking up more.

While the story itself held promise and managed to capture my interest, the experience was ultimately marred by the narration. The narrators' delivery felt oddly inhuman and unrealistic, which became increasingly distracting as the story progressed. Their portrayal of the characters lacked authenticity, often coming across as overly cheesy and artificial. This disconnect made it difficult to stay engaged, and I found myself unable to finish the book despite my initial curiosity about the plot.
That said, the audiobook does have a redeeming quality: its handling of dialogue. The way the conversations between characters are structured and presented is well-executed, adding depth and dynamism to the interactions. Unfortunately, this strength was overshadowed by the narrators' performance, which left me questioning whether the issue lay in their interpretation of the characters or the text itself.
In the end, while the story had potential, the unnatural narration proved too much of a barrier to fully enjoy the experience. For listeners who prioritize compelling voice acting, this audiobook might not be the best choice. However, those who can overlook the narration might find value in the dialogue and the underlying story.

3.5 🌟
The Webs You Weave was a jam packed domestic thriller, full of twists and turns and red herrings. Told from multiple pov to keep the reader guessing.
While I thoroughly enjoyed the title I did guess all of the twists, and found certain elements to be really repetitive, but I still had fun with the book.
Kaden Cartalina and Jay Parker narrated the title really well.
Huge thanks to Red Raven Publishing via NetGalley for the opportunity to review this audiobook🎧

There are two sides to every story and sometimes the truth is somewhere in the middle, and sometimes its fabricated.
A husband and wife have their own version of events. One might have a traumatic brain injury, one might be cheating and one might want revenge.
Oh the wicked web of lies this novel spins.
This is my first by this author, and definitely not my last.
Thank you Raven Publishing for this audio book. The narrators were perfect!

This book was so entertaining. I loved how the main character had an untrustworthy brain and all the POVs lead you in so many different directions with the theories. The narration was great and I was hooked till the very end ! 👠
