I really liked this one! It was definitely giving ‘Ready or Not’ vibes, but considering each round was essentially the same game of hide and seek but with different rules, I think that should’ve been clarified more before we started them. The romance between Rowin and Vivi was so good and that fake dating/marriage facade ended real fast with their very real feelings😂 I also really liked the Silver family! To have 7 siblings each have such a pronounced personality, (Wells and Remi not as much bc, iykyk), is actually quite a feat and I was really impressed🙂‍↕️ I do see the overarching plot for book 1 is starting to press in a lot more, so I’m excited to see where that goes👀 ALSO! I NEED book 3 to feature my sweet, comedic relief Sevin🥺 The narrator was really good too! The way all 7 of the Silver siblings sounded totally different (the slithery sound of Corvin when he was talking!!) was so immersive!

"Enchantra" by Kaylie Smith is book 2 of the Wicked Games series. I highly recommend this book to romantasy readers!!

It is a spicy romance/fantasy (romantasy) with immortals in a locked "room" type of game. Also, there is an enemies to lovers meme.

Genevieve Grimm is the sister of Ophelia Grimm, who starred in the first book. She receives a letter with an invitation to Italy to see Mr. Silver. Upon arrival, one of the adult Silver sons, Rowin, tells her to go away. She is much offended and goes in anyway.

Anyone in the house that day can not leave and has to participate in the annual hunt. It is a survival type of game with only one winner still living at the end. The whole Silver family are immortals, but Genevieve isn't.

To try to save her, Rowin offers to marry her. They can play as a couple if they are married as long as it fools the demon in charge of the game.

The mansion has enchanted rooms. The brothers and sisters have interesting personalities and familiars. The growing attraction between Genevieve and Rowin is palpable, and the spice is hot hot hot! I enjoyed this book like really good chocolate!!

The narrator of the audiobook, Laura Horowitz, did a wonderful job with the voices and voice acting!

I loved Phantasma -- it was the perfect mix of adventure, steamy romance, and a rich fantasy world. Here, we return to the Wicked Games world with Ophelia’s sister Genevieve, where she “fake marries” Rowin Silver after she stumbles into a new fight-to-the-death house challenge. She's trapped there with the Silver family, after stumbling upon this annual challenge while trying to learn more about her mom’s past. Together Genevieve and Rowin try to stay a live while exploiting a loophole in a demon’s challenge, all while dodging death attempts by Rowin's menagerie of siblings.

Like the first book, this sequel is dark and daring and steamy, as Rowin and Genevieve try to survive and must learn to trust each other. Constant games of two truths and a like build this connection. A+ points for Rowin's fox familiar Umbra who Genevieve grows attached to along the way.

Some of the reveals in the book felt a little slow or uneven, but overall I thought this was so much fun, and I can't wait for whatever's next. These are some of my favorite romantasies I've read lately!

I really enjoyed Enchantra. This book pulled me right back into Kaylie's dark, twisty world, and I loved seeing Genevieve step into the spotlight. The atmosphere was perfectly dark, with gothic estates, deadly trials inspired by childhood games, and the constant threat of danger.

Genevieve was such a fun character to follow, full of sass and determination, and I liked the slow-burn tension between her and Rowin. Their banter and chemistry was chef's kiss 🤌. The Silver family was another highlight, with all their chaos and secrets. The ending felt a bit rushed, and I would have liked more exploration of Genevieve’s powers.But regardless this was still a captivating read with plenty of romance, mystery, and dark magic, didn't disappoint!

A wild game where an immortal family plus a mortal in-law must fight to the death to stay out of he'll.
This is the definition of rivals to lovers with a good dose of forced proximity and a marriage of convenience and enough scorching spice to keep you turning the pages. All of you will love seeing Genevieve's development as she goes from longing to belong to kicking butt and taking names.
The plot twists in this will keep you guessing until the end, and when you think it can't get any spicier, you will spontaneously combust.
The narrator does a phenomenal job as per usual with clear dialogue and voicing that add so much to the story.

I absolutely devoured *Enchantra* and I’m still reeling! Kaylie Smith delivered something fresh and addictive, different from *Phantasma* but with all the feels I love. The enchanted Italian estate and deadly game of hide and seek had me hooked, and the marriage of convenience between Vivi and Rowin—*chef’s kiss*.

Rowin’s sarcastic, brooding vibe mixed with his shadow powers had me swooning nonstop, and Vivi is a fierce, confident badass who stole my heart. Their slow-burn chemistry and the sibling dynamics gave the story so much heart. I NEED a book for each Silver sibling!

The stakes were high, the tension electric, and the game’s magical reality-show twist was brilliant. The ending felt rushed but that cliffhanger?? I’m still not over it. Plus, the Ophelia and Blackwell cameo was the perfect treat!

If you love enemies-to-lovers, slow-burn romance, shadow magic, and fierce heroines, this is a must-read. Mature themes ahead—check trigger warnings. Can’t wait for book three!

I had an Advanced Listener Copy thanks to NetGalley and I am just now getting around to finishing it. I loveddddd the MMC but something was missing for this to be a 4 or 5 star read. I would have appreciated more of the games aspect like the first book. Can’t wait for book 3!

I really wanted to like this. I loved Phantasma so I was expecting to have a blast with this book but I just couldn't get into it. The story felt like it was a regurgitation of the first one but the plot didn't feel as well thought out for this set of characters. I will still continue to read this author's work, I just didn't enjoy this.

I will say that the narrator did a great job.

I loved everything about this- If you liked Phantasma i think you would struggle not to like this. It was such a fun and fast paced read. The narration is paired so well with these books.

A shadow daddy, enemies to lovers and a fake marriage; a recipe for energee to devour a book and lemme tell you I ATE IT UPPPPP.

The progression of Rowin and Vivi's relationship was SO MUCH fun to watch. The tension and chemistry between them was practically wafting off the damn pages from the very first meeting. I LOVED the banter between them too and holy shit the MOUTH on Rowin???? Had me giggling and kicking my feet. I loved how their feelings developed, it wasn't too fast or too slow, it was the perfect speed, for me at least. Vivi is also such a wonderful character. I adored watching her grow/change little by little to become the badass bitch that she is. I already loved her from the first book but getting to be inside her head really just made me love her even more.

Also, SEVIN?? Oh man, if the next book isn't his I will be rioting. I loved him SO BAD, he had me dying in every scene he was in. Honestly though. Rowin's entire family was so interesting, I NEED to know more about them all. The ending definitely was setting up for the next book and frankly I need it NOW.

Kaylie Smith has made my love for romantasty anew and honestly instilled a soul aching need for the rest of this series that I will harbor until I get my grubby little hands on them. I'm also very happy to report that this book did not suffer the curse of the 2nd series book. 5 fucking stars.

I’ve been sitting here for … well weeks at this point trying to put into words how amazing this book was/is. Kaylie has an amazing ability to drag you right into her worlds and the next thing you know you’ve reached the end and you’re speechless because … wow! I SO enjoyed getting to know Genevieve more in this book and fell in love with her character. I also fell in love with a lot of the side characters and I will be beside myself if they don’t get their own books eventually! I need MORE! 5 star read yet again. 😍

Enchantra swept me away in a single sitting! After Phantasma became one of my favorite reads last year, I wasn’t sure if this follow-up could match my love for Ophelia and Blackwell’s story. But Genevieve gets the spotlight this time, and though she started off a bit bratty for my taste, she seriously grew on me. Rowin is absolute book boyfriend material. He’s patient, respectful, and incredibly hot, especially during the very spicy scenes (which he navigates with constant care and consent, a total win).

Laura Horowitz’s narration is just magic. I already love her work, but I swear her “guy voice” is better than half the male narrators I’ve listened to: deep, expressive, and somehow hotter than it has any right to be. She really brought Rowin to life. No major twists here, but the pacing and romance had me hooked. I’m already counting down the days until book three.

I liked Phantasma but Enchantra was INCREDIBLE. The storyline really worked for me and the romance was done super well. I am normally not the biggest fan of enemies to lovers but this one was *chefs kiss*. Laura Horowitz absolutely killed this audiobook! Definitely need to check out more from her. So excited to see what is next from this author!

I really wanted to love Enchantra because I loved Phantasma last year, but I really struggled with it, if I'm honest.

I listened to the audiobook (courtesy of Netgalley), but I really struggled to get into it. The first third of the book could not hold my attention at all. I restarted it on four different ocassions thinking it was me and perhaps I just wasn't in the right headspace for it at the time, but I don't think this was the problem. Speading it up to 1.5 helped (I never speed up audio books, but this one was read so slowly it was painfull), but i think the reality is the first third of the book in general was just too slow paced for my liking. It did pick up pace for the second half which I enjoyed much more, but the plot was nothing new.

It followed the same formulaic pattern of most enemies to lovers romantasies these days, and felt like just another rehash of Phantasma and the Caraval Series by Stephanie Garber but with different character names.

In summary if you like a formulaic enemies to lovers romantasy with very little fantasy and world building you'd probably enjoy this, it's got great ratings from others, but for me, I'm starting to get bored of reading the same plot line over and over, that's takes half the book before anything really gets going.

Kaylie Smith has done it again with her addictive gothic romance books. Enchantra is a slower burn compared with Phantasma but still so addictive. It has the same deadly and addictive story that was in Phantasma. The stakes are high in this book, Genevieve must marry a stranger and then play the deadly games of hide and seek with her new husband and his siblings. I like how the author incorporated the viewers watching it all play out like a tv gameshow. I loved Geneieve and Rowin together, they balance each other out.
I cant wait for more books in this series!!
