I adored the audiobook of Phantasma last year so I was very excited to get the ALC for Enchantra as well this year! I binged it in less than a day because it was just as amazing as Phantasma!

With the world already established in Phantasma, Enchantra wastes no time in getting into the action with the Silver family. Enchantra has some of my favourite tropes in it - marriage of convenience, forced proximity and dangerous games so it's not a surprise that I absolutely devoured this. On top of that, I just love Genevieve - she's curvy, confident, flirtatious and stubborn. When MMC Rowin told her that her body wouldn't be anything he hadn't seen before, she declared "It IS something you've never seen before. Me. And I'm spectacular!" Oh, I just love her. The narrator absolutely killed this line, along with the rest of the book. She does an amazing job at portraying her main character, but also distinguishing all the side characters and really ramping up the tension and the romance. I'll always choose the audiobooks for the Wicked Games series.

Speaking of the Wicked Games series as a whole, I listened to the epilogue and the end credits several times for clues to the next book. I am so excited for it. And now theres the Silver family, I'm praying for more of their stories!

Disclaimer: I received an Advance Listener Copy from NetGalley, but this is my voluntary and honest review.

Welcome to my new comfort read! I am obsessed with both Phantasma & now Enchantra.

I am obsessed with Genevieve and I want to be her bestie. She's a girl who can handle herself, but not in an overpowered, chosen one kind of way. She has a lot of the qualities of her sister, Ophelia from Phantasma, however, she's funnier, wittier and louder than life. Does she have mommy issues? Duh. But at least there's an angsty, arrogant shadow daddy to have a marriage of convenience with so she can try to survive another deadly competition.

The chemistry between Rowin and Vivi was phenomenal. It is a marriage of convenience done right, the two of them are so attracted to each other it hurts. Thankfully they're good at putting on a show to win the competition. As they go through this fake romantic alliance, they start playing a game in a way to ground themselves: "truth, truth, lie". Every time they played, they kept getting closer and I was desperate for them to admit their love.

📖"Fake" Marriage of Convenience
📖Masquerades & impeccable style
📖Deadly Games & Demons
📖Found Family (but a lil stabby!)
📖Paranormal Romance
📖Familiars
📖Curvy FMC

Thank you to Netgalley, Forever & Second Sky for providing me with an eARC & ALC of Enchantra.

Was that even better? I loved the first book, and this one is everything!! It was fun, spicy, and so much family bonding. I enjoyed this book a lot. Quite perfect, with no complaints. This is experiencing your most favorite childhood game as an adult.........of course with lives at stake. I can't wait for the next book, and I have an idea of what it might involve (The first memory Knox took?). Thankyou Netgalley, Kaylie Smith, and Bookouture Audio for the ALC. I absolutely love the narrator, Laura Horowitz who does such a good job relaying all the emotions Genevieve goes through as well as alternate character voices.

I really enjoyed Phantasma so I was super excited to get the ARC for this book, but this one fell flat for me. This follows Genevieve, who we know as Ophelia’s sister, as she goes off on vacation but ends up trapped in a deadly game of hide and seek with a bunch of shadow wraiths. Her only way to stay safe is a marriage of convenience. The romance in this book was really fast paced and I felt like the two MCs didn’t have a lot of chemistry, it was mainly just about the smut. But I will still probably read the third book because I liked Phantasma so much🙃

Thank you NetGallery for this ARC

so i feel a bit conflicted on this book as i didnt hate it by any means but im also not sure i liked it very much???? there was just enough random things through out that kept me interested enough in continuing to read this one.

now ill start by saying that i didnt have the highest of expectations as phantasma was fun, i wasnt in love with it but at least it was FUN.

enchantra had its moments of fun, i thought it started off pretty strong. i was giggling over gens first meeting with rowin, i loved how sassy she was and how he literally just could not be bothered but as we progressed towards the games that was where my interest in both the storyline and our main couple fell off and i found myself caring more about a fox and rowins siblings more than them 🤦🏼‍♀️

i think that the games are completely why i found myself becoming disinterested in our couple because well, they were boring. i kind of expected more from this “hunt” that this family has been trapped into doing for YEARS on end however every game was just hiding in a room until the timer ran out. the siblings for having done this for so long kind of sucked at it? and the lack of magic using was certainly a weird choice to me because it left zero reason for gen to even randomly have power except for getting her inside enchantra gates???? there was exactly one time where we got to see her use her magic and honestly it was a pretty cool thing she did, just for it to never be expanded upon lolol. i wanted more magic, more fighting and running just SOMETHING other than chillin in a room. at the very least if the games weren’t going to be as thrilling and anxiety inducing as phantasmas was make the down time something fun with the main couple??

all in all i cared more about the silver family’s plot lines than i did the one we were currently in. all of the siblings had personality and random things going on that made me want to know more about them. where as gen kinda turned out to just be a massive brat and rowin was just kinda there with his shadows and piercings lol, they had no other personality traits. i didnt find myself caring about these two again until the very end, i like how the story was wrapped up, it was very sweet to me.

i think that this book had a lot of potential had things been a bit more fleshed out, there was a lot of emphasis placed on things to further continue this series which is great and those things do sound intriguing BUT not great when its taking away from why were here in the first place which is gen and rowin.

This is such a fun series and the books only continue to get better and better.

In book two we enter into the magical world of Enchantra. A gothic manor nestled into the outskirts of a town located in Italy, only seen by those who are invited to pass beyond its gates. But beware, once you enter, your only two options are to leave a winner or die trying.

The best way to describe Enchantra is a magical, dark fairytale for adults… but replace fae with wraiths and demons. The world building is dark yet somehow still whimsical. The content is pretty graphic in both violent and sexual nature. Somehow Kaylie Smith still manages to keep the story lighthearted and funny with all of its hilarious banter and lovable characters. I also love Smith’s ability to offer so many different atmospheres within one book. There were horror scenes, hilarious scenes, spicy scenes 🥵 and heartfelt scenes. Regardless of the scene, I was completely glued to the story and feeling all of the different emotions.

Oh Genevieve… Genevieve is a vibe of her own and I was there for it. Her feisty, stubborn nature took absolutely zero crap from anyone, even if that someone was a wraith or demon.

Rowin, also known as Rowington (😆) was a pretty decent MMC. The bad boy, hotness factor was there with his shaggy black hair, tattoos and lip ring… and other piercings… 👀. My only little complaint was I would have liked to see just a little more personality come out of his character. He would often get overshadowed by Vivie’s character the majority of the book. I would have liked to see a little more personality and emotion come from him.

Laura Horowitz did an absolutely FANTASTIC job with narration. She was the perfect fit for this series. Her ability to change up her voice between narrator and the different characters is just incredible. If you are an audiobook listener who loves gothic fairytale romances then I highly recommend you picking up a copy of Phantasma and Enchantra.

As always, a great big THANK YOU to NetGalley for constantly feeding my addiction with amazing ARCs. Also, thaaaaaank you Bookouture Audio for giving me the opportunity to listen and review one of my most anticipated books of the year. And finally, thank you Kaylie Smith, this series is one I am thoroughly enjoying and will cherish for years to come.

Enchantra was more amazing and fantastical than I could have ever dreamed of, I am in awe!

This book has the same gorgeous gothic vibes as Phantasma, but in a new environment with a mysterious and dangerous family, forced to take part in a killing game every year. This year is different, because Genevieve Grimm turns up on their doorstep the first day of Enchantra, their yearly murder competition, and finds herself forcefully drawn into the game and tied to a gorgeous, rude man who she needs to work with to survive. Throw in a marriage of convenience, one bed, and a lot of tension and I had myself a new obsession!!

I am in love with Genevieve and Rowin, their chemistry is top tier and they are both such strong characters on their own as well as together. I was also a huge fan of our new cast of characters, the Silver family were so much fun to get to know, all with their own distinct personalities and sharing a tragic history. We also get to see a little bit of my babies Ophelia and Blackwell which was the cherry on top of a decadent cake! PS. there are animal familiars and this was such a great addition!

I am so looking forward to future novels in this series, I already have my guesses on the name of the next book and who the central character is and if I am correct I am going to scream out of excitement - okay let's be real, I will scream either way because this series is truly phenomenal!!

Thank you to Bookouture and Netgalley for providing me with early access to the audiobook!!

Thank you so much for this advanced audiobook of Enchantra! Phantasma was one of my highest rated books in 2024 and while it still holds a special place in my heart, Enchantra certainly is a solid sequel. I enjoyed getting to know Genevieve and Rowin and the entire Silver family, honestly. The siblings and the found family aspects of them truly was a highlight of this book for me. I enjoyed the game in this one, being a deadly hide and seek and unique take of different methods. It was magical and a fun read! The romance was what I did prefer in book 1, though I did really love Rowin. This book was certainly more intriguing for me in what will come for Wicked Games 3! - 4.5/5 stars

The narrator was great overall, though my only critique is wishing that there was more distinguishing voices between the male characters (since there are so many of them in this one). Overall a wonderful audiobook that I cannot wait to listen to again when it is closer to book 3's release, and a book I cannot wait to have next to my copy of Phantasma!

Thank you again!

Love love love them. Genevieve and Rowin are everything. The back and forth banter. EEEeeeee.

I loved all the different ways they played hide and seek. It was so entertaining to read. (I really hope this series is made into a show, because I would love to watch this play out). I enjoyed all the players in the game, all the personalities and how they interact with each other. It was so much fun.

I screamed at the twist at the end and loved it. I can't wait to see what happens next. Also loved seeing Blackwell and Ophelia.

Audiobook March 2025: Laura Horowitz did a fantastic job with voicing all the characters! Laura truly makes it feel like a full cast of people. Each one is so unique and all the emotions she portrayed was excellent. Highly recommend the audio, because it is so much fun!

Wow. If you were a fan of Phantasma then you will love Enchantra. I am always a little weary of second books however this one did not disappoint, While I wasn’t the biggest fan of Genevieve (Vivi ) in book one she really won me over.. I think that my issues with her had a lot to do with Phantasma being told from Ophelia POV. We meet her through the eyes of a big sister who had her own biases.

In this book with Ophelia and Salem happily enjoying their HEA, Vivi goes on another secret quest to continue to find answer about her mother and to find where she belongs. In the pursuit of this she forces her way into the Silver family’s home and find herself trapped in their deadly game. What happens next is a fake marriage, another dangerous game to the death, very fun very spicy times and a whole lot of sibling shenanigans,

I really wasn’t sure if Kaylie Smith could introduce another MMC that i loved as much as Blackwell, however Rowin was fabulous. A Shadow Daddy himself, with all of his tattoos and piercings and being a sweet, strong silent type, he will win your heart easily. Vivi and Rowin have great chemistry and are a perfect fit. However, the real stars of this book are the Silver siblings. They are wildly entertaining especially Graves and Siven. I need book 3 ASAP.

Laura Horowitz did another amazing job as the narrator. I hope that she continues with this series.

Thank you to Netgalley and Bookouture/Second Sky and Bookouture Audio for the opportunity to review!

Single Narration - Laura Horowitz
(Laura delivers! She does this book so freaking well!)

Kaylie Smith gives us another fantastic book. This is a wonderful follow up to Phantasma.
No disappointment with this one.
This series is absolutely amazing.
Genevieve’s adventures are captivating and suck you right in!
I devoured this audiobook!

If you loved Phantasma get ready to love this one EVEN MORE

I received a free early copy of this book for review. This is my own opinion. Thank you to Netgalley and Bookouture/Second Sky for the opportunity to review!

Genre: romantasy

Tropes: marriage of convenience, grumpy x sunshine

Spice Level: 3ish/5 for voyeurism/exhibitionism and use of shadows

Content Warning: violence

Enchantra is the follow up to Phantasma, one of my favorite books of last year. They’re the same but somehow different, and I don’t really know how to explain that, sorry 😂

Genevieve is the second child in a family where only the first born inherits the family’s necromancy powers, so she was lonely during her formative years while her mother trained her older sister. She sets out in search of finding someone like her but winds up in the midst of a cursed competition where she has to marry to stay alive.

Rowan (short for Rowington—all the siblings have names that end in -ington which is funny) is freaking HOT with all his tattoos and piercings AND he has shadow magic. The shadow magic is fully utilized which is a gripe that I have about 2 mmcs whose names start with X and R 🤨 😂 and the banter is top tier.

Anyway, the ending of this is pretty much what I expected, BUT I don’t mind the predictability because the way we got there was really fun. If you liked Phantasma, you’ll like this!

Have you ever felt like you live in the shadow of a sister or friend? Been hoodwinked & heartbroken by someone who didn’t care?

You need to read this book. Or listen because the narrator does a fabulous job.

Vivi is looking for a connection. On the mend from a heartache she’s just looking to feel like she’s not alone. Not yet ready to trust another man, she opens a letter/invitation not intended for her & heads off to find answers.

Vivi arrives at a sprawling Tuscany estate & is nearly killed when she crosses onto the property. She’s saved by Rowin and things take off! She’s forced into a marriage of convenience.

If you’ve read Phantasma … and enjoyed it … then you’re going to love this story.

It’s another game! This one within a family of very intriguing murderous supernatural immortal beings & their familiars. A life/death game run by a sadistic devil.

So much happens but it’s fast paced fun!

This is another spicy story with a lot of crass conversations sprinkled with humor & really likable characters. The estate where the story takes place is a character in itself with secret passages & rooms, a hedge maze & magic.

This story is more romance than Phantasma. The immortals are varied and interesting. I’d read future spin-off books that featured some of the Silver siblings!

Vivi was a bit exhausting as she doesn’t think ahead which puts her in danger plenty of times. What I liked is that she’s self aware and usually doesn’t intend to need help so she tries to get herself out of the predicaments she finds herself in. Oh and she’s curvy!

A strong female MC that’s damaged by her past. Will she be healed by a family of monsters?

Rowin is a man of few words and is the perfect foil to Vivi’s nonstop talking without thinking. He basically claims her & instantly takes on the role of protector. Nice spin ending. The romance felt believable based on the character development.

Spice rating - 4.5🌶️

Imaginative & unique. Read/listen at your own risk. I loved it.

I received an audio ARC from the publisher bookouture & NetGalley but the opinions above are my own. Can’t wait for the next story.

Whew, I’m gonna need a minute after this one. It was sooo good. I struggled a tiny bit with the ending in Phantasma, but Enchantra didn’t give me the same feeling. I loved how Genevieve held herself. It’s nice to see a strong woman with a few issues - just like all of us. Rowan was great too. Their relationship felt real to me. He is an amazing character. I’d love to read more about this whole family - I think it’s got so much potential!

A hunt, a fake marriage and a forced promixety! The Magic world of Phantasma continues in a very captivating story. We follow Geneviève and Rowin in the hunt of survival. Romantasy, yes indeed!

This was everything I wanted it to be! Kaylie definitely did it again!
I won't say too much, but if you liked Phantasma, then read this one - and if you havent read Phantasma, then do it now!

Post on IG the 17. of march 2025 (with no spoilers)

I don't think this book suffered the doom of 2nd book syndrome! It was spicy... super spicy, I think Phantasma had a better "Game" but " The Hunt" in this book was interesting. I loved the hate/ love the main characters had for each other and omg the little Fox was adorable! I was so lucky to get an early copy of this and I will totally be adding a physical copy to my shelves :)

If I could rate this book 10 stars, I would! Kaylie Smith carried all the heat and suspense from Phantasma and turned it up a notch (or 7!)
Just like book one of the Wicked Games series, Phantasma, Enchantra is an enthralling gothic fantasy that will grab hold of you from start to finish!

Genevieve Grimm is back, playing in a devil's competition for her life. The only difference is, this time, she's playing with wraiths, all with different magic and intentions. In the midst of finding answers, she finds herself trapped in a house with seven siblings, forced to play in a deadly game that they've been playing annually as part of a curse.

This book is SO good! Just when I thought I loved Ophelia and Blackwell, in walk Genevive and Rowin, and all I can say is YES! I am so here from them, and I loved their story every step of the way! I need book #3 and pronto!!

5+ stars!! Thank you to the incredible Kayle Smith, NetGalley, and Bookouture Audio for this compelling ARC!

What an addicting sequel!
I was hooked from the very beginning of the book and I ate it up in two days!!
It was addicting as much as Phantasma and I loved Genevieve so much. She is no damsel in distress, no no, she is strong just like her sister Ophi. My man, Rowan... what a man he is
his way of words (and actions!), and his love for Vivi «a I don't want to reveal too much of the plot but just so you know, this is such a fun, spicy, addicting, angsty, and loveable story
(I highly recommend going into this one blindly).
Thank you so much SecondSkyBooks and Kaylie Smith for an ARC of this book 😊

I loved this so much! This book starts off with Genevieve traveling and trying to make it to Enchantra. Once she finally arrives the action, twists and secrets are nonstop! This book focuses on Genevieve trying to find herself and feel like her own unique person while being stuck at Enchantra with the aloof yet possessive Rowin. Rowins storyline was unique as well and his siblings are all my favorite. I adore the way Kaylie Smith writes side characters! And the ending of this book! It has made me even more excited for the following books but I don’t want to give anything away.
Please read this if you loved Phantasma (but remember it’s a separate standalone so it’s entirely different!), the amnesia trope, marriage of convenience, ready or not vibes, unique magic, and even more devils!
Laura Horowitz as the narrator can do no wrong and this was narrated perfectly!
Thank you Bookouture audio and second Sky!

4.5 stars

loved the chemistry between the two main characters. I love how protective Rowin was. I really liked the side characters were siblings rather than strangers so I felt connected to them all more.

I loved the idea of the hunt and how different it was from the original book.

Genevieve grew on me in the second half of the book. I mentioned Phantasma reminded me of Caraval and Saw. This book was like Legendary. I couldn't help but compare how many similarities there were between the Caraval series and this series. Genevieve has the same personality of Donatella in Caraval. Both characters do that annoying thing of acting headstrong, not listening but then there is someone always there to save them.

Then I noticed the elder sisters were similar in both book series. Scarlett had pressure from her dad, whilst Ophelia her mum.

I don't know but for the first half I just couldn't help but notice the similarities between the two book series.

This book was much less blood thirsty than the first but I liked that better.

The narrator is probably one of my favourite narrators. Phantasma was my audiobook of the year because of her. She immerse you into the story and is clear at whatever speed you listen at.

I liked this book but I guess I'm just getting fed up of this type of FMC who doesn't listen to anyone.

5 stars narrator
4 stars story
