I devoured Phantasma and I couldn't wait to get into Enchantra. It's a beautifully written gothic fantasy and I loved every minute of it. It's a marriage for show romance, "she's mine" and sprinkled with spice, it was a super fun and gripping read.
4 stars for me because it is incredibly difficult to follow Phantasma, but I still enjoyed this nonetheless.

💀 Multiple trauma triggers in this book - sensitive readers check before reading
Left wanting more after finishing Phantasma? You won’t be disappointed when you pick up Enchantra!
Another cracking gothic fantasy romance filled with deadly games, a marriage of convenience, seductive and morally grey men with slutty little lip rings!
I loved this as much if not more than Phantasma I love how she managed to deliver the same deadly content premise but in a totally fresh way that left me with no idea how the story was actually going to end.
Totally addictive to read just and I was living for Rowin giving it the “My Wife” statement. The messy sibling banter and dynamics were funny and entertaining and remarkably relatable for a paranormal setting.
Narration from Laura Horowitz out of the park just like last time,
Already cannot wait for book 3!

Enchantra is a darkly romantic fantasy full of danger, magic, and sizzling tension. As Genevieve enters a cursed game with only one way out, her uneasy alliance with the mysterious Rowin sparks into something deeper. With rich worldbuilding and emotional twists, this sequel delivers drama, desire, and deadly stakes.

This was one of my most anticipated reads for this year because I loved Phantasma oh so dearly, I adore Kaylie’s writing so I knew I would absolutely eat this up and I was not disappointed for a second.
The magic, the games, the 𝘨𝘢𝘮𝘦𝘴 👀, and the drama had me flipping pages like a feral animal. I saw so much of myself in Genevieve’s stubborn brand of softness (little sisters know) and I always love a good marriage-for-show romance, but add in a tattooed shadow daddy with a lip ring who calls her “trouble” and says “she’s mine”??? i may never get off my knees for Rowin Silver.
I loved getting to dive back into the world I loved so much in Phantasma but with new perspectives and new unhinged immortal generational beef channeled into homic🗡️dal games. The Silver family is my new obsession and I’m going to need so much more of them. Maybe if we all say pretty please Kaylie will write Sevin’s book next.

3.75 for this one.
i think i went into this one with a little too high expectations after Phantasma, but pushing that aside, i really reeeally enjoyed this book. the chemistry between Genevieve and Rowin was EVERYTHING. he had me kicking my feet and giggling. he was written so beautifully.
with the plot - it felt like it could've been more, i did however love the ending when Gen and Rowin reconnected, i thought that was a really cute touch.
i don't usually listen to audiobooks because i easily get distracted, but this one was really well done and had me hooked into the story from the get-go.

I received an ALC of Enchantra through NetGalley and Bookouture Audio. My opinions are my own.
I enjoyed Enchantra, the narrator did a great job and kept my attention. I read Phantasma a few months ago and was very excited that this book would be about the other Grimm sister. I loved this book more than Phantasma. The games were more entertaining to me and the stakes were higher. I really like the marriage of convenience trope as well. I am curious to see where this series is going and who it will follow next.

Enchantra

Narrated by Laura Horowitz
5 ⭐️
I’m obsessed with this series. Smith can write a book boyfriend like no one else; she leaves me as a puddle of mush after - 🥵. There truly isn’t a single detail about this book (and Phantasma) I didn’t love. From the setting of New Orleans as “home” to the devils’ games our more than mortal ladies find themselves the center of, this series is made for me. On top of the perfection of a story, the audiobook is 10/10, could not recommend more. Horowitz nails this narration. I can’t say enough praise for the entertainment packed into this story.
Thank you NetGalley, Kaylie Smith, Bookouture Audio, and Second Sky/Forever for the eARC and audiobook ARC of this deadly addictive story. 😈

Love love love! I emjoyed this second in the series more than the first. The reader of the audiobook was enjoyable and her voice was clear and pleasant. The story was fun and spicy. I liked the banter. I think the main characters were more likable because we had more background on them than the first book where pasts were a mystery. There is also spoilers for Phantasma in this book but could be read as a standalone.

Yes. Just yes. This book is fantastic and the audiobook was great. I honestly don’t know what else I can say besides YES.

I was unsure how I would feel about the other Grimm sister, but I truly love Genevieve and her spunk! Another deadly game with just enough gore and a lot of spice to keep me engaged the entire time. I really love the development of the underlying plot and can't wait to see who book three will follow, or will we get multiple POVs?? SO EXCITING!!! Thank you for letting me review this ARC!

I read Phantasma but listening to Enchantra was a whole different experience that I loved! This narrator does a spectacular job of all the ranges of voices and I think she nailed Genevieve + the world of Enchantra. Now that I have listened to it, I am going to read it to see if there is anything I missed!
Before going into this book, I really just wanted to read more about Ophelia and Blackwell but I was so so wrong! I loved learning more about Genevieve and the MMC Rowin. The world building of Enchantra was also superb and could picture myself inside of the mansion with all the mirrors.
I can't wait to see where this series takes us in book 3!

This book had some similarities to book 1, it elicited the same feelings with the hunt, as opposed to Phantasma. It was an easy read, with a fun magic system that is unique. The world building continued to expand on book 1. It was atmospheric and immersive, and I loved the setting of the deadly game of hide and seek in an enchanted mansion, where her partner is the deadly shadow wraith she's fake married to... a lot of people are going to love this book.
I really enjoyed Rowin as a character. His attitude and the banter was fun to read. His shadows... Another character I enjoyed was Genevieve. She is so strong in her own way and does not let anyone walk all over her. I liked her confidence and force of will. Her dynamic with Rowin had me laughing the whole time. One big strength was also the depth of side characters... I want to be a part of the silver family now- I think each sibling needs their own book! I was so quickly invested in Kaylie's character.
As with book 1 in the series, the ending was too rushed. I think this one could've used about 100 more pages. Overall, I wasn't sure how this book would move away from Phantasma, but it had similar energy and was overall a well done. I could read more interconnected standalone fantasies like this, they make for excellent binge reads.
For fans of:
-fake marriage
-shadow wraith MMC
-grumpy x sunshine
-top notch banter
-found family
-deadly games
-enchanted mansions
-dirty mouth MC

I loved Enchantra. It was every bit as wild as Phantasma. And the Silver family was just.... Rowin was just hot, simmering hot and Genvieve just one stubborn chick. I loved the ending, it was surprisingly sweet.
The narration was A+

I really really liked this one!! As someone who’s not really a romantasy person, I think this series is a great one! I love the game aspect of the book and I feel like it’s an interesting take on a magical game.
I loved the whole family in this story! They really made the book for me!
The narrator really made this story so entertaining and kept my attention the whole time. I absolutely could not stop listening when I had the chance to binge the book.
Thank you to Bookouture for the ALC on NetGalley!

Incredible. Every single second of this. What a way to do a sequel and still leave threads open for the next!!

I'm sitting here and contemplating my existence... wondering why I, a lowly gal, have not been inadvertently trapped inside an enchanted mansion and forced to participate in deadly games. So i guess instead I'll thoroughly enjoy reading about those exact circumstances.
I DEVOURED this book. I wasn't sure exactly what to expect when going into this after Phantasma and can I just say that it did not disappoint. It was so different to the trials of Phantasma while still providing the same similar feelings that the first book elicited.
The world and atmosphere Kaylie has created for this series is next level brilliant and immersive, I actually can't get enough of it. An exquisite gothic mansion on a vast estate in Tuscany? I'd be going deadly competition or not!
Genevieve is a force to be reckoned with. Her confident, sassy, and determined demeanor was everything I didn't know I needed.... as was Rowin, I don't even have the words to explain how much I devoured Rowin as a character. The attitude and snark hooked me and the introduction of his shadows dragged me to the pits of hell... if that's what it means to be bad, then I don't want to be good. The dynamic between these characters is absolute perfection, and had me kicking my feet the whole time.
I'm already sat, impatiently waiting for the next installment of this series and for whatever it brings. I'm here for the ride.

Enchantra, the second installment in the Wicked Games series, is a captivating fantasy romance penned by Kaylie Smith and narrated by Laura Horowitz.
I believe this book is equally impressive as its predecessor. I particularly enjoy the concept of the most cunning, strong, or perhaps clever character who manages to outsmart the rules. The spicy romance between the main characters is well-crafted, and the chemistry between them is undeniable. I am eagerly anticipating the release of the third book.
Laura Horowitz’s narration is exceptional, adding a unique and special touch to the story. I highly recommend this book and give it a solid 4-star rating.
Thank you to Bookouture Audio via NetGalley for providing me with this opportunity to read and review Enchantra.

Enchantra was such a surprise! I absolutely devoured this! Actually, I enjoyed this a lot more than Phantasma. The plot felt faster paced but also just so well balanced! The quiet moments between Genevieve and Rowin were sometimes full of tension, sometimes vulnerable and sweet. The deadly games kept everyone on their toes and me on the edge of my seat. The spice comes in in the later half of the book, but because the interactions between Genevieve and Rowin were so charged and the tension so delicious, it kept me fed until something more happened. I also really enjoyed the secondary characters in this one - the Silver siblings are complicated, and we get to know each of them without it bogging down the story. I'm invested to the point where if the author wrote stories for them, I'd be down to read! Rowin was a great MMC - the attitude, the banter, and sarcasm... THE SHADOWS. I'm sat. 😂 The ending felt a tad rushed to me but I was also just binge reading like my life depended on it. Highly suggest this one and can't wait for book 3!
I listened to the audiobook and felt like the narrator was perfect for this book! she did a wonderful job.
CW: Violence, death/murder, sexual content.
A huge thanks to Bookouture Audio, Second Sky Books and NetGalley for the ALC. All opinions are my own.

Huge thank you to Forever and Kaylie Smith for this ALC!
Last year, I devoured Phantasma in one sitting—so when I say Enchantra was one of my most anticipated fantasy romance sequels of 2025, I mean it. And guess what? It did not disappoint. 🤩
💀 What I loved the most:
The family dynamics were giving EVERYTHING. While Phantasma had those Caraval-esque vibes with a sister on a mission, Enchantra takes a darker turn with a whole family cursed for eternity. 👀 The sibling chaos? Chef’s kiss. Messy, emotional, hilarious, tragic—it was all there. 💜
💀 What to expect:
⚔️ Deadly games
❤️🔥 Forced proximity
👨👩👧👦 Sibling dynamics
✨ Underestimated FMC
👹 Demons, curses, & secrets
⛓️ Marriage of convenience
🔥 Steam level: Open-door scenes—YES, there are “mine” moments
💀 Do I need to read Phantasma first?
Not necessarily! Enchantra is set in a new country with fresh characters. You’ll get a full story here (although those last chapters do link back in a juicy way). 😏
💀 Let’s talk romance:
This one delivered. The tension? ✨Immaculate.✨ The banter? So fun. The slow burn and the heat? Balanced perfectly. I was obsessed with Rowington and the way the marriage of convenience trope was handled. Dark, broody MMC? Check. ✅ Protective energy? Double check. ✅✅
💀 Do I recommend it?
If you’re into spicy fantasy romance books with high stakes, morally gray love interests, and heroine power-ups, this one’s for YOU. 😎
💀 Perfect for fans of:
💜Kerri Maniscalco
💜Scarlett St. Clair
💜Lexi Ryan
💀 Read if you like:
❤️🔥 Marriage of convenience
⛓️ Cursed families
⚔️ Fantasy romance with spice
🖤 Shadow daddies & slow burns

I was so excited for this book. I absolutely loved Phantasma. But sadly it fell a little short. I was expecting it to start where Phantasma left off. It did not and I was disappointed.
But it did get better and ended just fine.
