The audiobook fur enchantra was absolutely fantastic! I cannot believe how well done this audiobook is! The narrator is impeccable and perfection.

Okay I LOVED this one! This series is SO GOOD! Again, this book is giving spooky gothic Caraval vibes. Instead of Ophelia, we get to follow her sister Genevieve who gets herself into quite the predicament leading to a marriage of convenience and another set of trials/games run by a demon. These games were more a fight to the death amongst siblings however they’re immortal so they don’t actually die - except for Genevieve. I had a lot of fun with this one - the sibling dynamic was entertaining, the stakes were high, and the fox familiar stole my heart. Could Genevieve and Rowin fallen in love a little more slowly? Sure, but I did still find their relationship enjoyable!

The highlight of my year so far was getting to listen to this early. It was my companion in the car during all my errands and travels and commutes to work. First off, the writing. I fell in love with Kaylie Smith's writing in Phantasma and Genevieve's story is a highly anticipated read for me. So AH. The screaming I was excited to read this.
The story was incredible. It was unique and I loved the way Smith wrote about hell and wraiths and devils and a unique game. Not to mention the family dynamics and the HOT interactions with Rowin. I enjoyed every character.
Rowin was a fun brooding lead and hot as sin. Think of piercings in a lot of places and it was *fun* hot dang.
Laura Horowitz was PERFECT for this. The way she narrates the story was absolute perfection. I pictured everything perfectly. She kept me engaged in the story and the way she gave each character voices and personality. Lovely.

➳ thank you netgalley for the arc!
this book was a really fast paced and fun read. i got the audiobook version and i really enjoyed the narration. laura did a great job on voicing every character. similar to phantasma, this book has the same gothic fantasy vibe. personally, you don't need to read this book after book 1. this can be read as a standalone. i really liked the romance in enchantra and really liked both main characters. the only reason i would rate this lower is because i prefer to physically read my fantasy books. sometimes, i find the narrative in audiobooks to be iffy, depending on the genre.
⌞genevieve⌝
i actually prefer gen over ophelia. i like that she isn't your stereotypical fantasy FMC and has unique quality traits that also aren't annoying. that was one of the pros i found in the first book as well. fantasy doesn't always mean unreasonable and lame. i can't wait to see where the world goes from here.
⌞rowan⌝
every character named rowan is hot and i don't make the rules. i prefer rowan over blackwell. while it is your typical shadow daddy love interest, i ate it up, nonetheless. he came and did his job. we stan.

5 Stars
I think I might have even liked this one more than Phantasma - the Hunt and the different games were a lot of fun to follow and I enjoyed how Genevieve and Rowin's relationship developed though I hated all of the Silver siblings' names lol. Genevieve Grimm was a fantastic FMC and had me rooting for her the entire time. I also maybe (definitely) cried at the end after we found out all Rowin did for her after what she lost in her sacrifice (y'all I'm trying to be so vague here lmao but iykyk) - I just love these 2 together so much. I will 100000% continue this series, I'm obsessed with this world and I cannot wait for more!!
Thank you NetGalley, Bookouture Audio, and Second Sky Books for the ARC!

4.25/5 stars
2.5/5 spice
Tropes:
Strangers to Lovers
Forced Marriage
Deadly game
Cursed family
Magical elements
Big family dynamics
Single POV
I really liked the story overall, but it wasn't a 5 for me because the romance felt rushed. There was attraction and lust, but I couldn't pinpoint a moment that really stood out as a catalyst for that hate to love transition. But it could be that I missed it in the audiobook and will probably need to re-read it again to see it better.
I really like the plot of the game, though. I wanted to see more of the family dynamics before the game started, but the single POV made it all about Genevieve and her interactions. Not that it was bad, but I'm a big fan of family dynamics. Genevieve herself was a really fun character. I liked her spunk and bravery. The banter was great, and you could feel the attraction between her and Rowin. Like I said, though, I would've liked to see a clearer moment where they both transitioned from that hate to love because the lust was there for sure.
Overall, it is an intriguing and fun read. I still recommend this book for fans of Deadly trials, forced or arranged marriage, and morally grey characters. Please check trigger and content warnings before starting this book.
Thank you to Netgalley and Bookouture Audio for the ALC. All thoughts and opinions are my own and offered voluntarily.

Thank you Netgalley, Bookouture and Kaylie Smith for this amazing ALC!
This audiobook had me gripped from the start! I really enjoyed Genevieve being our FMC for the second book in the Wicked Games series. Following the aftermath of Phantasma Genevieve is trying to find herself, and unravel the secrets of her family. After receiving a mysterious invitation she finds herself in the beautiful Italian countryside and meets Rowin. His greeting is not inviting, demanding she leaves immediately. Stubbornly Genevieve refuses and soon regrets it after she is trapped in the estate with his family for a set of deadly games that makes Phantasma look like childs play.
Genevieve is my favourite FMC in the series so far, though her stubborness nearly got her killed on more than one occasion. This aside, she is strong minded, brave and not afraid to speak her mind. I enjoyed how her relationship with Rowin progressed, not too quickly which made the last chapter that much more sweeter. I also really loved how his familiar warmed up to her, no spoilers :).
The audiobook was so well narrated, Laura Horowitz smashed it and kudos to her for the seamless read, I felt as though I was completely immerged in the story. I cannot wait for the third book!

- Found family
- Slow burn romance
- Shadow daddy MMC
- Familiars

Phantasma was one of my favorite reads last year and Enchantra did not disappoint. We follow Genevieve in her search for more information about her mother while struggling with her identity and moving on from a troubled relationship. She ends up in Enchantra playing risky games with the dysfunctional Silver Family. The found family trope but make it murderous was crazy in such a fun way. Dare I say…I love them?
Genevieve is such a strong unapologetic FMC yet so unsure of herself, seeing her go back and forth was so real. Rowin is dark and brooding with a “touch her and die” attitude. What more could we ask for?
It’s not a Kaylie Smith book without that crazy last 10%, I knew something was going to happen…YET I WAS STILL SHOCKED.
This book was so much fun. I can’t wait for book 3.
Thank you Netgalley and Bookouture Audio for early access to the audiobook!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
🌶️🌶️🌶️
Another “my wife” shadow daddy to add to my list ✅
Also, the name Rowin (or any form of it) will always do something for me 😍
I pterodactyl screeched when I got this ARC, Phantasma was one of my top reads of 2024 and Enchantra was one of my most anticipated reads of 2025.
Go off, Kaylie. Genevieve is probably the most likable FMC I’ve read in a while. I fell in love with her in Phantasma, and she did not disappoint in Enchantra.
Swoon worthy shadow daddy 🖤
Marriage of convenience 💍
Deadly games and demons 😈
Loathing to lovers 🫶🏼
Funny and confident FMC that bites, literally 🫦
Touch her and die MMC 💀
Tension and banter 🔥
Mirrors, lots of mirrors 🪞
Familiars 🦊
I need book 3 now please.

I absolutely devoured this ALC. Laura and Kaylie are both so amazing. I loved Genevieve and Rowin so freaking much! The plot was so well thought out and I found myself at the edge of my seat, heart pounding and screaming at my book! I was giggling and kicking my feet all throughout. Seriously a must read if you loved her first book!

This was such a great follow up to Phantasma. I think I enjoyed it even more! The marriage of convenience and enemies to lovers tropes were done well.

I didn't think I could love anything more than Phantasma, but Enchantra has now surpassed that. I absolutely loved every second of this book! It follows Genevieve Grimm to a mansion in Italy (need I say more?) where she's searching for answers and instead an entire labyrinth of games, oh... and a gorgeous, edgy man that she's forced to marry.
Kaylie Smith's writing is so atmospheric that I can't help but keep reading, even at 3am. The ending had me ugly crying... and I can't wait to re-read it! 💜
This was a 6-star read for me, and is at the top of my 2025 favorites.
If you love found family, forced proximity, slow burn, and absolutely gorgeous writing, pleaseeee pick this up so we can talk about it!

Thank you Second Sky, Kaylie Smith, and Netgalley for the ARC!

Entertaining with a few shining moments but it was also shallow and missing necessary build and foundation. Most of it felt like we had been here before (in other books) and this grand game of hide and seek didn’t feel particularly grand. It was a lot of sitting around… playing hide and seek.
And then I couldn’t quite grasp if we were supposed to be okay with the twisted sibling personalities despite the torment that game “forced” on them. Violence ensues throughout and…
I dunno.
I still enjoyed sections of it. I think the core is a great idea. I understand Genevieve striking out to find her place in the world. Rowin is working with what’s he got in an impossible situation. They both fall back on, and into, salacious behavior just for the heck of filling the boredom and trying to win the game (though of course it’s framed as sizzling and irresistible attraction). I mean, he’s a shadow daddy with a lip ring (and other piercings besides), what’s a girl to do?! And Genevieve is magnetic (she really is) so of course Rowin is gonna quickly fail keeping his mouth to himself.
Thankfully they do have some heart to hearts and deep conversations too while hiding in rooms.
Overall, I was up and down. It’s easy to read and I zipped through it. I can still say I was entertained and don’t regret the time spent. But it also didn’t leave me dying for the next one.

this book was fun just like that first book! I dont think it brings anything new to the table but it's entertaining enough. the narration was great and dare I saw brings the book to another level!

Absolute crack! Whatever Kaylie has laced into this series has made it an unstoppable obsession. I'm more in love with Genevieve’s story than her sister’s! I absolutely love it when sequels are better than their predecessor. I’m so excited that there will be more from this series & can’t wait to get my hands on them! Also highly recommend the audio, Laura just adds that special pizazz giving the characters even more life.

Thank you to NetGalley, Bookoture Audio and the lovely author Kaylie Smith for this audio ARC of Enchantra!
Enchantra is the second book in the Wicked Games series (Phantasma) and follows the story of Genevieve (Ophelias sister) as she goes searching for answers about her mother, and herself, and ends up trapped in Enchantra, a high stakes cursed game similar to hide and seek except, well, more murdery, and the destination after death is hell itself. She's then forced to team up with Rowin, who, well... you'll see ;)
This book had me screaming from the beginning right until the end. Genevieve and Rowins chemistry far outmatches the chemistry between Ophelia and Blackwell, and I would give my left lung to be in that man's prescence. The banter between the two made me kick and scream like I was a teenager again, and her stubbornness reminds me so much of myself so she was such a relatable character for me
The game stakes are high, the tension is high, the spice is off the charts high, and if you loved phantasma you are going to devour this.
Once again Kaylie has smashed it out of the park and I'm very very excited for the next instalment! I will absolutely be buying a shelf trophy of this book.

4.5 ⭐️ If y’all loved Phantasma, you are going to eat up book 2 in the series!! Enchantra follows Genevieve, Ophelia’s sister, as she accepts an invitation from her mother’s mysterious friend - only to find herself trapped by a devil in a deadly game of hide and seek. To survive, she finds herself in a forced marriage with Rowin, as they try to find a way to win the game and break the curse trapping Rowin’s family in the games.
Slow burn, marriage of convenience (or marriage to survive 😅), enemies to lovers, and another book full of crazy games to survive- I will gladly read 100 more of these books. I listened to this arc, and thought the narrator did a fantastic job.
Thank you to NetGalley and read forever for the ALC!

This truly is a banger, the same magic that’s within the pages of Phantasma is also in Enchantra. I ate this up and Genevieve is my new favorite character. Enchantra follows Ophelia’s sister Genevieve, who finds herself in Italy drawn to a palace where someone is trying to keep her out. She finds her way inside and is now part of The Hunt. Another game hosted by a devil. A deadly version of hide and seek. There can only be one winner and she is playing with the ruthless Silver family who also happen to be wraiths. Only this time she is married to Rowington Silver out of conviene , they form an alliance where they have to fool everyone that they’re in love. There’s secret passages, deadly mazes, a fox, masquerade balls, piranhas, secret rooms, lots of mirrors and of course spice.
Because let’s be real we love a morally grey mmc who has shadow like powers and in this story the shadow wraith Rowin Silver who has a lip ring will have everyone crushing on him. I mean come on who doesn’t want a shadow daddy detangling their hair for him. What I love about this book is the found family, and the family dynamics of the Silver family. But most importantly Genevieve isn’t a chosen one, she has curves, confidence, asks a lot of questions, makes mistakes and we see her grow. Just like Phantasma this is a perfect book to read for the spooky/fall season.
Lastly the audiobook, omg its perfect Laura Horowitz deserves an award for her narration. This is a story I couldn’t stop listening to. She narrated Enchantra perfectly, I need to listen to all of her work. She just emobodies Genevieve so well.
Thank you second sky books for this ALC

This is the second book followed up from phantasma, which I rated 5 stars when I read it. Very good book. This book was good but not as good in my opinion.
Genevieve and Rowin agree to form an alliance. Fake dating. As the games go on, the relationship develops more but Genevieve isn’t sure if Rowin is playing games with her heart.
If you liked phantasma, you’ll enjoy this book.
Thanks netgalley and publisher for a chance to listen to this book for free in return for my honest opinion.

THIS. WAS. DELICIOUS.
I loved taking a trip down this incredibly convoluted game of devils, magic, and death. The narration for this audiobook was phenomenal and had me kicking my feet with glee. While I did think this was KIND OF a slower start, once the book took off about 20%~ in, it didn't stop until the very end. The twists, camaraderie among characters, and the spice were amazing. This series is so fun, and I can't wait for the third book!
