While I don’t have a Blackstone Griddle, I do have another brand and this book is just as handy for me as it is for someone with a Blackstone griddle. I love the recipes and cannot wait to try them out.

This book was fine, but some recipes were very impractical to make on the blackstone unless you really were looking for more ways to use it. I find sometimes it’s more obnoxious to use the blackstone than it is to just use the stove. Cleaning the blackstone is a pain and when making a small amount of something, like some of these recipes, it just wouldn’t be worth it. I did like some of the appetizer and main course ideas though! But to get the entire blackstone dirty for egg roll in a bowl or a street corn side dish would be so much work!

Thanks to NetGalley and Adams Media for the digital copy of this book; I am leaving this review voluntarily.

This is an unofficial Blackstone griddle cookbook, and if you’re not familiar with the brand, they are the big dogs of the outdoor griddle market, much like Weber and Char-Broil are for outdoor grills. Last year, after replacing our gas grill for the third time, we opted for a Razor outdoor griddle for a variety of reason. I wanted to get a better feel for the griddle and was happy to review this book.

First off, this is the type of cookbook I love that the author takes the time to educate the readers on the hows and why of griddles, but there aren’t many photos of recipes, which was slightly disappointing. I had just finished a few other ARC cookbooks that had gorgeous photos, so this was a bit of a letdown.

The recipes are interesting if pretty blase. Many of the breakfast recipes use chorizo, which is fine, but there are other types of sausages out there, so substitute as you wish. The recipes seem to be created for feeding a crowd, which is fine, but a lot of the recipes are not exactly healthy. I do like that nutritional information is provided so I can adjust recipes as I feel necessary.

I’ve read worse griddle books, and I appreciate the fact that many of the recipes do not require anything beyond the basic tools. I’m happy to look through this cookbook and get some ideas for outdoor grilling but will also look for other griddle cookbooks to expand my repetoire.

Cookbooks that are put out by companies to promote their products are usually fabulous, since they want consumers to purchase their product. The "I Love My Blackstone Griddle" Cookbook: From Fluffy Buttermilk Pancakes to Crispy Breaded Pork Chops, 175 Easy and Delicious Recipes! is one such cookbook, and it is filled with dozens of great recipes to make on a Blackstone Griddle, which is a very trendy bestseller nowadays, and seems to be on every patio and taken on every camping trip. Who knew that so many great things could be cooked on a griddle?

While the cookbook contains dozens of recipes that are traditionally cooked on a griddle, including dishes that are “camping friendly,” this excellent cookbook also includes innovative ideas that most of us haven’t thought to cook on a griddle. The recipes are written in the traditional manner with the ingredients listed first followed by step-by-step instructions, making it easy for both beginners and advanced cooks to follow. Most of the recipes have short lists of ingredients and are easy to prepare.

The cookbook also includes beautiful, professional photographs that bring the dishes to life and make it difficult to decide what to make next. Unfortunately, all of the recipes aren’t pictured, which is the only drawback to the cookbook.

All told, when a manufacturer puts out a cookbook, it’s usually excellent because they want consumers to use their products; this one is especially good and has dozens of great ideas for using a Blackstone Griddle. It is highly recommended.

Just.. meh. None of the recipes are particularly inspiring. Basic recipes- which is fine- but was hoping for some interesting ideas at least. The book is lack luster and with very few images.. everyone likes a cook book with pictures!

This one left me feeling a bit underwhelmed. The majority of the recipes are using heavily processed or preprepared foods. If I wanted fastfood- I'd go to a restaurant. I got the Blackstone to be able to cook at home.

Overall... boring.

This book had so many great recipes. It is nice to have all the recipes in one place rather than trying to search for blackstone recipes like I had been doing. I never thought to make dessert on the blackstone so I'll definitely be trying more of those recipes!

This is such a great cookbook for the blackstone! My husband is already an avid blackstone user and has his own recipe favourites he makes for the family. We reviewed the cookbook together and can’t wait to try many of the recipes included when we pull the griddle out for the season. The directions are simple and easy to follow and there are several great tips and tricks for cooking! Thanks for the opportunity to review the cookbook in advance!

I wasn’t sure what a Blackstone griddle was before reading this book and I’m still not positive, since it explains it’s an outdoor flat grill that runs on propane but inexplicably shows no pictures. The recipes are super easy and made with processed foods like glazed donuts, corn chips and hot dog buns. One recipe is literally just stacked bacon, donuts and processed cheese slices. Nutritional information is provided. There are not many photos.

If you have a Blackstone griddle and like to make party type camp and backyard junk food, this will be a helpful resource.

I read a temporary digital loan of this book via netgalley.

My husband go ta Blackstone last summer and we have been googling and trying various recipes. I have LOVED having this all in one place and not needing to look on my phone or print a recipe to take outside. We are going to try as many of these recipes as possible this summer!
