3.5 ⭐️
I really enjoyed my time with this book; it was very cute. I loved the atmosphere! I wish that I got to see more interactions between the characters, and their feelings flip flopped very quickly, so I kinda got whiplash. I did love the side characters, and I look forward to reading Lyra’s story!

Did not expect to enjoy the book as much as i did. Sloane McGregor is cursed. And so is her hole family. Natural disasters follow then wherever they move. When her grandmother summons her and her sisters back to the town they grew up in they bring with them a massive snow storm that is hammering the small paranormal town. it turns out that they have to break the curse that has been following their family for hundreds of years. Sloane must not only deal with her new wonky magic but try to break her part of the curse along with her sisters and a grumpy mayor who might just be the guy for her.

Love's a Witch was a super cute, cozy, and fast paced, and instantly hooked me from the start. I do wish there had been a deeper dive into the curse, but overall loved this!

I've read all of Tricia's books and I liked this one! It seems that this is the start of a new series - I originally thought that this was set in the same world / town as the Enchanted Highlands series but it's a new town, which was a little confusing at first. I loved the relationship between Sloane and her sisters as well as her (steamy) romance with Knox. Like many of Tricia's books, it went very quickly from a budding romance to "I love you", which is fine but seemed a little rushed. Tricia's books typically spend a little more time character building, but in this book we meet a lot of characters at once and it's a little hard to keep track of them all. I loved the magickal creatures - Blue is so adorable! Overall really liked this one but didn't LOVE it.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this arc! Omigod this was SO CUTE. Amazingly cozy vibes and a romance that made me kick my feet and giggle.

This was such a fun and cozy book! I love the mix of smalltown romance and magical elements! It will be great for the fall season and I will personally recommend it no matter whether the library purchases!

This was a fast, fun read.
The storyline was so interesting and cute. I do wish we could’ve gotten to know the characters in more detail and went more in depth about the curse. The ending seemed rushed a bit, but set up well for the next book in the series.
Can’t wait to find out what’s in store for rest of the sisters!

Love’s a Witch was such a cute and enjoyable read.
The MacGregor girls come from a line of cursed witches and they bring catastrophe wherever they settle. Back in their home village in Scotland upon request of their grandmother, the mayor of the town, Knox, immediately tries to kick them out. That starts up a hilarious enemies-to-lovers vibe with ridiculous pranks.
Knox has held a torch for Sloane since they were teenagers and even though he’s trying to kick out her family (for the good of the town!) he can’t stop wanting to be closer to her. And Sloane is just trying to survive with the onset of her magic and work with her family to break their curse. But Knox is hard to avoid…and his lips, so you can guess where this is going 👀
The animal sidekicks were some of the best parts of the story. Sloane’s baby wolf dragon puppy, Knox’s disabled cow and blind cat. I just love them and their interactions with their witch/warlock. SO CUTE.
Love’s a Witch was so fun and cozy and I’m already ready for the next in the series. I just know the sisters are gonna give the town a run for their money. Can’t wait!

I know I usually wait until release day to post reviews, but i just couldn't with this one. It was such a fun read! Scotland with snow, need I say more? I loved the magic system, and there's talking familiars, and dragons! The spice between Knox and Sloane was a delicious slow burn that nearly lit my Kindle on fire! The mystery of their curse was enticing, and I couldn't turn the pages fast enough! I loved all the characters and can't wait for the next installment! Thank you, @gallerybooks @netgalley and @triciaomalleyauthor for the chance to read this book, I absolutely loved it! Preorder your copy now!

A low stakes and cozy, yet spicy read. it did remind me of pumpkin spice cafe and I would say it's true to the comp, if you enjoyed that you would really enjoy this one

Love’s a Witch by Tricia O’Malley introduces an enchanting premise: Sloane MacGregor, a witch returning to her ancestral village, must break a curse to secure her future, all while navigating a budding romance with Knox Douglas, the town’s wealthy provost. While the magical setting had potential, the story didn’t quite click for me, which was a huge disappointment because I was hoping this would be the perfect book to usher in the fall vibes!
I struggled with inconsistencies in the internal logic—like Sloane criticizing Knox for his wealth while acknowledging her own family’s affluence—which made it hard to stay immersed. The humor, though frequent, often fell flat for my taste, and I found it difficult to connect with the characters or feel invested in their journey.
That said, readers who enjoy lighthearted, witchy romances with a cozy small-town vibe might still find charm in this book. Unfortunately, it just wasn’t the right fit for me.

Love's a Witch by Tricia O'Malley is pure, cozy magic, with a delightful dose of steamy and a definite touch of spice. This book is a feel-good escape with witty banter and organic magic. The characters are wonderfully quirky and the romance is genuinely sweet, but also undeniably hot. I devoured this charmer. If you love a quirky, supernatural, and steamy read, pick this up. Pure joy.

4.5 - Tricia does it again. A lighthearted, magic filled story that has you engrossed in the characters. I am excited to see what is in store for the MacGregor sisters.

This would be the absolute perfect book for the fall! It was the perfect witchy romance and it had alllll the vibes! So cozy and so hot

Love's a Witch is a fun Scottish romantasy! Sloane is a witch who comes from a family who was cursed hundreds of years ago. Her and her three sisters have essentially on the run from the curse their entire lives. Before her 25th birthday, Sloane's grandmother asks that she return to Briarhaven. Upon their return, Sloan and her sisters run into Knox, the towns provost who then tries to run them out of town. After finding that he has an undeniable pull to Sloan, Knox has to decide if his loyalty is to himself or the town he is supposed to protect.
I loved this story! There are so many layers! The romance between Knox and Sloane is enemies to lovers and their chemistry is off the charts. The sister relationships are lovely and Broca(her grandmother) is a blast. The way that Tricia weaves in the emotional trauma of the curse and Sloane's past with magical elements makes this book stand out!
Highly recommend- especially if you love Scottish romance!
Thank you NetGalley and Gallery Books for the ARC!

I loved the witchy hijinks, fairytale vibes in a small Scottish town, and the witches! Even though it was COZY cozy, it was still unafraid to tackle heavy emotions. If you want something fun, cheesy with great chemistry between the characters, then check this out!

Hijinks, sisterhood, and magic: when witch Sloane, her two sisters, and her grandmother want to return to the Scottish village where they grew up, they're facing an uphill battle due to a centuries-old curse. But with help from an adorable dog-with-wings familiar, a coven, and the love of Knox, the caretaker of the magical town, can Sloane break the curse -- and fall in love?

✨Witchy chaos, irresistible chemistry, and a fairy tale town brimming with magical mischief—this cozy romantasy is pure charm from start to finish!
From the first page, I was swept into the windswept magic of Briarhaven, a Scottish town where spells sizzle, curses linger, and second chances just might be real. At the heart of it all is Sloane MacGregor, the fiercely loyal eldest sister of a long-cursed witchy bloodline. Called back to town just as her powers begin to awaken, Sloane must find a way to break the centuries-old curse shadowing her family. The only problem? Knox Douglas—Briarhaven’s gruff, no-nonsense mayor—isn’t exactly thrilled to see her… and definitely not prepared for what her magic stirs in both the town and his heart.
The romance here is everything you want in an enemies-to-lovers arc: heated glares, witty banter, and a slow-burning connection that feels earned and electric. Sloane and Knox have incredible chemistry that sparks across the page, and it was genuinely satisfying to see their guarded hearts begin to soften in each other’s presence. And don’t even get me started on the familiars—a mini highland cow and a tiny dragon? Adorable doesn’t even begin to cover it.
What I loved most was how the book blended lighthearted magical fun with emotional undercurrents: Sloane’s burden of responsibility, her deep bond with her sisters, and the struggle to balance control with vulnerability. The family dynamic was touching, the setting felt alive with folklore and small-town quirks, and the whimsical tone made this an easy, comforting read.
While it didn’t dive too deeply into the darker themes, that breezy tone suited the story perfectly. It's like curling up with a Hallmark movie—if Hallmark had witches, curses, and a grumpy Scotsman guarding the town from magical disasters.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (3.5 rounded up)
A very huge thanks to NetGalley and Gallery Books for providing me with this delicious romance witchery fantasy I absolutely devoured in exchange for my honest review. I’m already excited for the next MacGregor sister’s story—bring on more hexes, heart, and Highland charm!

I definitely found "Love's a Witch" a bit cheesy at times, but overall it's a super enjoyable and fun romance. Would highly recommend for fans of Erin Sterling.

Thank you to Netgalley and Gallery Books for the ARC in exchange of my honest review!
The chemistry between the main characters was great! I loved the dialogue between the two main characters. The humor in it was lovely and added to the reading experience.
Would definitely recommend this book if you like enemies to lovers, magical pets, and a Scottish small town. Definitely a fun and cozy witchy read for the fall!
