I cant wait to reread closer to spooky season! I hope there will be an audiobook.

Scottish men have been overlooked by me until now. Knox has my heart. I love a small town romance but the magic and witches made this the most fun I've had reading for a while.

Love’s A Witch by Tricia O’Malley

Book one in the Scottish Charms series release date 8/26

Sloane and her sister’s Lyra and Nova return to Briarhaven Scotland to break their families centuries old curse. There she bumps heads with the towns provost Knox.

I really enjoyed this magickal book. The banter and tension between Sloane and Knox was a lot of fun to read. I also really liked getting to know the other members of her coven The Charms.

That said my rating would be higher if the book had been edited better. There were missing words as well as unnecessary ones through the book and I found that distracting.

It was a quick cozy read, knox and sloane were sweet but I think this could go through another round of edits because they were very flat.

This book was cute! It was definitely a cozy romance. It grazed moments of depth but never really dove into them, which I think is fine for a book like this. It felt a little like a Hallmark movie with its little dragon dog and miniature highland cow. Very cute, and I’ll probably read the next one — two other romances were set up, both of which I think will be fun to read. Lots of absurdly hot men — but then, why not?

After a centuries old curse has MacGregor witches running from home and love, three MacGregor sisters set out to break the curse as Sloane comes of age into her Magic. Set in a small, cozy Scottish town, the only thing that can stop the curse is the handsome town provost (mayor), the Handsome Knox Douglas, so he thinks.

This was a cute story with a fun romance and adorable town. I apparently have been loving stories set in Scotland lately. I loved Broca’s character the most.

Read if you like:

Thank you Tricia O’Malley, GalleryBooks and NetGalley for the ARC. All opinions expressed are my own.
