Thanks to @harlequinbooks for the ALC!
Let’s be honest, Teddy Hamilton could narrate a grocery list and I’d still swoon. Add Erin Mallon’s fiery delivery and the slow-burn enemies-to-lovers vibes of this story, and you’ve got an audiobook that had me giggling, blushing, and full-on grinning like a fool.
Seven Year Itch gives us the loudmouthed, cat-loving, tattooed mountain man of our dreams and the fiery, no-nonsense bestie who’s ready to reclaim her sexy.
Forced proximity? ✔️
Tropical shenanigans? ✔️
Enemies with benefits? ✔️✔️✔️
Dakota and Cole’s banter is perfection and their chemistry is off the charts.
If you love your romance hot, hilarious, and full of heart with a side of dating app disasters and reluctant room sharing, grab your earbuds!

Calder and Dakota were great characters! Absolutely loved the enemies to lovers vibe in the book. I did read the first book in the series as well before this but you can also easily read this as a standalone. Definitely a little spicy as well. Dug the forced proximity vibe as well!
Thank you to NetGalley, Amy Daws, and Harlequin Trade Publishing for the opportunity to read this!

4/5 ⭐️
Daws knows how to write a humorous and witty book with some great characters. I loved Calder and Dakota, their enemies to lovers vibe was so good. I think I liked the first book in this series a bit better. I did feel like the book went on just a bit too long (this was an issue I had with the first book as well). Fun time overall and the banter was just so on point.
Thank you to NetGalley, Amy Daws, and Harlequin Trade Publishing for my early access to this.

Thank you for the ARC! I enjoyed this book very much.I didn’t read the first book in this series but thankfully I wasn’t totally lost and there was enough context to follow what was happening.
I enjoyed the characters’ dynamic and interactions. Super cute story, cheesy at times but not cringe, and will probably read the next one!

Meddlesome Everly strikes again, but this time her target is her Uncle Calder. From hacking his dating apps to interfering with his room accommodations on a family trip for a destination wedding, she realizes there is a fine line between love and hate. Everly realizes that her uncle’s enemy and family friend, Dakota, is perfect for him. However, both Calder and Dakota carry the baggage of traumatic past relationships.
Amy Daws had me cackling while reading book two of the Mountain Men Matchmaker series! Everly’s hilarious creation of her uncle’s dating profile bios, the “Karen Gets Her Freak On” pact and witty banter was incredibly entertaining. Yet, the story also delves into emotional moments that discuss grief, self-confidence, post-divorce healing and self-reflection. I must admit that Dakota annoyed me a little at first, but as her history unfolds, she grows on you. Cat daddy Calder was so sweet; he just needed that special someone to believe in him and support him before he could settle down pursue what he truly wanted.
The Fletcher family is filled with strong personalities, and they go all out for each other, with Everly leading the charge. I can't wait to see what mischief Everly gets into next when she focuses her devious skills on her Uncle Luke!

Seven Year Itch is great for those looking to read…

This is book #2 in the Mountain Men Matchmaker, which could easily be read as a standalone. However, I really loved the first one, so I do recommend them all.
I listened to the audiobook & it was a wonderful duet narration. Duet narration is rapidly becoming my favorite. It is literally the equivalent to listening to a movie & truly brings the story to the life. The narrators were just superb!
I didn’t like this one as much as I liked the previous one but I am curious to read the next one.
Massive thanks to NetGalley, Harlequin Audio & Harlequin Trade Publishing for the gifted copy, which I voluntarily read & reviewed.

I enjoyed this book! This is a little more spicy than I would typically reach for, but I really liked the banter with Dakota & Calder. This was the first book I read from this series, but I will definitely read the others!

Seven Year Itch by Amy Daws
.
Enemies-to-lovers: Calder and Dakota don’t get along, so when they are forced to share a room at a destination wedding it is a rough vacation for them both. Dakota is recently divorced and looking to get back out there, yet she can’t stop admiring Calder. Calder can’t stand Dakota but also can’t stand the idea of her with another guy.
.
-Cat daddy vibes.
-The forced proximity was great.
-Calder was a comic relief character in the last book and I loved seeing him get his own story.
-I enjoyed learning more about Dakota, her back story really showed you what she had overcome.
-Dual narration for the audio and I am a super fan of it! The narrator team were excellent and did Calder and Dakota well.

4⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Of course we love all the happy endings! This book was a lot of fun. The spice is extra spicy so be advised! 🤭😉🌶️🌶️

This is an incredible book that I could not recommend more to romance readers. I am such a fan of Amy and was so excited to read this and it did not disappoint.

Another book where it didn’t live up to the other one in the series. 3 stars for me, but I absolutely adored anime Month Contract.

This book had me laughing from the very beginning! It’s a small town, second-chance, enemies-to-lovers romance with just the right mix of humor, heart, and spice. Dakota and Calder’s dynamic is chaotic in the best way. Their reunion is random and hilarious, and the forced proximity at a wedding sets up all kinds of tension.
This book is fast-paced, super readable, and packed with lovable side characters and deeper themes like self-worth, confidence, and healing.
If you like messy, emotional, and laugh-out-loud romances with a good mix of plot and character depth, this one’s for you.
Thanks to NetGalley and Canary Street Press for the ARC!

The seven year itch by
This might be a long one so if you're reading this grab a snack lol.
Thanks to my friend Erika who recommended the nine-month contract I read the first book in this series and I loved it.
Once I saw the opportunity to apply for the arc for the seven-year itch I said heck yeah! I wanna sign up if I get it great if not it’s okay I’ll read it once it’s available.
I know this book came out a while ago. I’m honored I was even chosen to be an ARC reader for this.
Due to life and what goes on in it I didn’t get a chance to read it before it was released. The whole point of this, It’s a really good book. the story stands on its own even with it being a part of
(The Mountain Men Matchmaker) series I love the fact that it’s still connected within the same world and you get to read about the family being all up in everyone's business lol
This story has layers of romance, laughter, family moments, and plot it all comes together in a way that you feel you never felt the world from the first book.
This one felt like you're watching another part of the movie play out from this brother's pov.
There’s some past moments that tie into this story. Even if you read this on its own without the other books you can still understand it. However, it just made me more intrigued to read the back storyline lol
It’s another amazing read for me. It’s told perfectly from past and present moments I love the kitty moments it’s something I looked forward to when I started this book lol.
I would recommend this to anyone I know and anyone who loves romance reads with a side of some spicy peppers. Can’t forget the banter lol

This was a fun romance. I liked the characters. I think this will be a popular book in public libraries.

Another spicy Mountain Man romance! I loved reading about Dakota & Calder's story with glimpses into Max & Cozy and Wyatt & Trista's lives as well. I wonder what love story we will get next?? I can't wait.

Enemies to lovers is one of my favorite tropes and I especially love it when they have to fake date because the banter is great but it didn’t work for me with this book.
I think the main problem for me was Dakota. I couldn’t stand her and I understand she was recently divorced and going through some stuff but she was so MEAN to Calder even when it wasn’t necessary. Like she picked fights and constantly threw his past/reputation/interests in his face and never owned up to her own stuff. Yes, Calder gave it back to Dakota but his actions towards her changed and you can see them changing but Dakota didn’t because she didn’t want to move him out of the box she put him in. Both of them were a little immature with their “hate” and both could benefit from talking to someone about their issues they have.
I did like that this is a part of an interconnected series with a close family and a meddling niece. I’m looking forward to reading Luke and Addison’s story.
Thank you publishers and netgalley for this eARC in exchange for my honest feedback

I made sure to read Nine Month Contract before diving into this ARC, so I apologize that it has taken me so long to leave this review. But I must say, Amy Daws' Mountain Man Matchmaker series has busted me out of my reading slump. Both Nine Month Contract and Seven Year Itch were the exact reads I needed at this season in my life. I especially identify with Dakota (down to the exact number of years I was with my asshole ex-husband from Littleton, CO -- no, I am not remotely joking. Thank you Amy! Calder and Dakota remind me of my own enemies to lovers marriage to my own bearded cat daddy. This story was relevant, timely and SO F*CKING HOT! I know I'm cussing a lot in this review, but that is how much I LOVED this story. I loved how Amy has managed to tell a plus-sized FMC's story of struggling with self image and the words that cut so deep they stayed with us far longer than they ever should, without taking us into the over-used and downright incorrect trope that says "I'm a big her, I know I'd never be his type"/pick me I'm broken stereotype we are often saddled with in romance. THANK YOU! We big girls know our worth, we just get lost sometimes. Needless to say, I'm on the edge of my seat impatiently waiting for Honeymoon Phase. <3

Seven Year Itch is a spicy, tension-filled enemies-to-lovers romance that hits all the right notes. Seven years after Calder drove Dakota crazy while renovating her house, they're forced to share a bungalow at his brother’s destination wedding. She’s newly divorced, he’s still maddeningly charming, and the sparks between them are impossible to ignore. With sharp banter, slow-burn chemistry, and a satisfying emotional payoff, this is a perfect summer read full of heat and heart.

This was a cute read from Amy. I enjoyed getting to know Dakota and Calder and I absolutely their banter! This book was entertaining and kept me laughing throughout. I liked getting their backstory along with their current story and I enjoyed getting glimpses at Trista and Wyatt since I read their book. I love the family dynamic of Calder’s family and thought the meddling was amazing from his niece 😂 I enjoyed getting to see them hate each other so much to then fall in love and enjoy everything about each other. I’m excited to continue this series and can’t wait for the next book!

This story is the second book in the Mountain Men Matchmaker Series and can be read as a standalone.
This story follows Calder Fletcher and Dakota Schaefer who honestly HATE each other, but Calder suddenly has a sense of protectiveness towards Dakota when he finds her at a sex club after her divorce.
I loved how Calder's niece set them up during the wedding (MCs from book 1) forcing them to share a room which kickstars their relationship. I adore a good matchmaking moment and this was it!
I do wish there was more of a plot besides them having sex all the time, but I was happy that both Dakota and Calder grew with this relationship. Dakota feeling empowered in her own skin and Calder breaking away from the mold he made for himself.
I've read several of Amy's books in the past and love her enemies to lovers banter, but this book was a bit much. They were fighting until THE VERY END and didn't have great communication.
Dakota is an amazing woman that's done so much with her life; she has her own successful business that's growing every day, owns her own home, and is an amazing friend. I felt while the book was hyping her accomplishments, bringing up that she was the responsible friend and didn't have casual sex in her twenties somehow made her "miss out on life" annoyed me. Yes, this is more of a social point and societal observation, than about the book, but having or not having casual sex doesn't make her a better or worse person and making it a focal point in the book, took away from the book and character in my opinion.

Mad at myself for coming in on part two of this series (I hate when I do that) but I needed some burly man fun in my life. It definitely can be read and enjoyed as a standalone though! I love a good destination romp and this was fun with a one bed trope. There was a bit too much miscommunication for my taste but YMMV. And how darling is this box!! @htp_hive knocked it out of the park!
