Absolutely positively loved this book. I think cat daddy’s are a new kink hahaha! No for real I laughed out loud so many times and also teared up. The banter is definitely top notch. I cannot wait for book three. I need to know what Everly has up her sleeve next. lol

Move aside country men.. mountain men are HERE.
Bearded, tatted, cat-lovin' Calder isn't interested in more than just hookups. Feelings just get in the way.. however.. his niece Everly has different thoughts and knows exactly who Calder should be with.
Enter scene: Dakota. Freshly divorced she just wants to start feeling like her old self again and that does NOT involve become friendly with Calder Fletcher, the man who RUINED her house reno 7 years ago.
Everly's master plan for these two involves some editing of dating apps, forcing them to share a resort room because the other one was damaged (it wasn't), and even getting the rest of the family onboard to help Calder & Dakota *see the light*.
If you're looking for a contemporary romance that has meddling families, small town romance, found family, and enemies (or is just denial) to lovers, then this is perfect for you! Second in the Moutain Men Matchmaker, but I read it as a stand alone just fine (however I WILL be going back to read Wyatt's story now)
Thank you to NetGalley & Harlequin Trade Publishing (Canary Street Press) for the ARC of this book!

I had so much fun with this. I listened along to the audiobook as I read and I feel like that made the experience even better.
The banter was the star of the show. It had me on the freaking floor it was so funny. The dialogue is where the audio really shined through because the narrators did such a fantastic job just portraying the absolute sass from these characters.
I really liked the plot. I mean I'm always down for a spicy checklist 😌. But the back and forth between enemies and lovers was 🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻. They just couldn't decide what they were for the longest time but it never got to be too much. It felt right with the story and like their relationship was naturally progressing that way.
Those spicy scenes?? With the audio??? Yes freaking please.

Seven Year Itch is book 2 in the Mountain Men Matchmaker series and it's Calder and Dakota's story. It was a steamy enemies to lovers, small town romance about self worth and confidence. The story was also hilarious and I was laughing out loud many times.
I'm really loving the Fletcher brothers and Calder was no exception. I loved him. His story was a bit emotional and I felt for him.
His arguments with Dakota were intense, yet inspite of the back and forth dynamics they did support each other, and pushed each other out of their comfort zone.
Unfortunately I didn't like Dakota. She was rude and I really disliked how she spoke to Calder at time, so that messed with the story for me. I also could have done without the third act breakup. However it didn't drag on and was quickly resolved.
The Fletcher family member were all a riot yet really supportive and I loved the family vibes and chaos they brought to the story. This was an enjoyable read and I would definitely recommend it to romance lovers.

Seven Year Itch by Amy Daws is a laugh-out-loud rom-com full of tension, tropical heat, and second-chance sparks. If you’re a fan of the enemies-to-lovers trope with a healthy dose of banter and slow-burn chemistry, this one’s for you.
Dakota and Calder haven’t spoken in seven years—not since a falling out that left them both hurt and stubborn. Now they’re thrown back together at a destination wedding in Mexico (he’s the groom’s brother, she’s the longtime family friend), and of course... they’re rooming together. What starts as bickering quickly turns into a no-strings-attached, enemies-with-benefits situation—complete with steamy moments, tension, and a journey toward something more.
The side characters are delightfully quirky, and the vacation setting makes it the perfect poolside or beach read. My only critique is that both main characters occasionally felt a bit immature for their age, but overall, this was a fun and satisfying romance.
Recommended for fans of Tessa Bailey, Hannah Grace, and spicy rom-coms with heart!

Another great book by Amy daws. Always enjoyable to read and laugh at out loud. Love the characters and storyline.

The banter between Calder & Dakota kept me laughing and so hooked on this book! This “enemies to friends with benefits to lovers” was the perfect follow up to the first book in the mountain men matchmaker series!
Thank you NetGalley for sending me the ARC of Seven Year Itch!

If you love a good enemies to lovers filled with the best banter then look no further!!Calder + Dakota had me laughing so hard. 🤭
Calder has become the cat daddy of the brothers and is ready to settle down and start his own family.
Dakota is coming off another bad marriage and is trying to find her spark again. Little does she know it’ll come at the hands of a tall, tattooed, bearded, neanderthal, but like an onion who has layers!
𝚃𝚑𝚊𝚗𝚔 𝚢𝚘𝚞 Amy + NetGalley for allowing me the early listening opportunity!💚

This was such a quick read and works as a stand alone story. The spice was good and the characters kept me laughing. Such a great pool/beach read!

Amy Daws does it again with another hilarious telling of another Fletcher Brother falling hard for his woman. I was laughing from the very beginning of this story when Calder realizes someone took over all of his dating profiles and was trying to help him find an emotional connection instead of a quick hookup. Amy Daws creates such great hilarious moments in her books that always leave me laughing out loud and with a giant smile on my face.
I loved that Cat Daddy and his mountain man ways was the focus of book 2. He made me laugh with his ridiculous behavior. And the more you get to know Calder, the more you realize there is so much more than what he shares with those around him. He was hiding a lot more pain than his brothers knew and kept going with the flow, thinking it was easier. So, reading about him getting his happy ending was one of my favorite moments.
And Dakota I just adored. I loved that she was rebuilding her confidence after she realized she had married a man who kept trying to tear her done. I loved that she was embracing herself in her thirties and realizing she was still confident but in a different capacity.
And the chemistry between these two was fantastic. It builds in the best way, and you can't help but cheer for them to finally figure it out. This story is another top story from Amy with laugh out moments you'll enjoy. And Calder carries his cat around in a baby carrier, what more could you want?

I was lucky enough to receive an arc of this book. Amy Daws has quickly become my favorite artist. This book has the perfect balance of bickering and love. Balancing the two is a defeated feat for Seven Year Itch. I read this book in less than 24 hours, and I cannot wait for the next book to arrive in October!! Book 5/5, Smut 3/5. The smut was a little often in this book but it worked perfectly within the storyline.

Thank you to Harlequin Trade Publishing and NetGalley for the ARC of Seven Year Itch in exchange for an honest review.
I was so incredibly excited to get my hands on this book. Amy Daws had me counting down the days until it’s ARC release! I absolutely fell in love with the first book in this series, Nine Month Contract. Everything about the Fletcher family sucks you in and makes you laugh over and over and the brothers are truly so lovable. Book 2 focuses on the love story between Calder Fletcher and his arch nemesis, Satan reincarnated, and the very definition of a Karen, Dakota (best friend of Calder’s sister-in-law). Calder helped Dakota renovate her house seven years ago, creating a tumultuous relationship between the pair. While having remained civil throughout the years, Calder and Dakota are forced together on vacation for his older brother’s wedding (from Book 1) thanks to Calder’s niece yet again. Can Calder help bring Dakota out of her post divorce shell? Can Dakota convince Calder that relationships can be a safe space for growth and comfort? As the two devise a game plan for Dakota’s sexual awakening in the form of a well crafted PowerPoint, the game is afoot and both of them only hope to come out of this unscathed.
Again, these books are quite heavy on the spice so if that’s not for you, please take note. How we, if that’s is for you, the enemies to lovers connection between Dakota and Calder is 10 out of 10. Everything about them perfectly complements the other person and Dakota’s journey back towards the discovery her own self worth and confidence is not to be overlooked. Amy has also perfectly queued us up for book 3, which will be Luke and Addison’s love story that we get a partial glimpse of in this book. Eek! I’m so excited! Please run to pick this one up immediately after reading Book 1. Available for purchase June 17th!

I loved Dakota and Calder, their banter was the best. I loved all the tropes in this book: enemies-to-lovers, forced proximity, meddling family, small town, vacation, and second chances. I really felt for Dakota, she was really struggling with her self-worth after she split from her husband, not only did he treat her poorly and insult her, but he tried to take her business and home. You know when the fmc hates the mmc this much, the spice is going to be flaming hot. Amy did not disappoint!

3.7⭐️ This story was so funny and kept me hooked until the end. I love an unhinged and chaotic character and Calder is that. The story was a little fast paced and everywhere for me to follow but still really good! Dakota got what she deserved after her divorce and her overcoming 7 years of grief and hurt was really heartwarming! I liked the story, but would prefer it to be more cohesive. But maybe it is meant to be messy and fun

This book was sweet and occasionally funny, but overall it just didn’t live up to the first in the series.
I really struggled with the enemies-to-lovers dynamic—it felt immature and petty for no real reason, which made it hard to get invested in the romance. These characters are in their 30s, and yet their behavior read more like high school drama than adult tension.
That said, there were some bright spots:
-I loved the family dynamics—I came back for them after book one, and they didn’t disappoint.
-The humor landed! There were several moments that genuinely made me laugh.
-The cat. Iconic 😂🐾
Unfortunately, the rest fell flat. I especially hated how poorly Calder (the MMC) was treated—not just by side characters but by the FMC too. It made it hard to root for their relationship.
The pacing also felt off. The trip portion had some momentum, but once they returned, the story dragged and lost its spark.
I’ll keep reading the series because I’m curious about the other characters, but this one just wasn’t a hit for me.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Gah!
I love Calder.
He was hilarious, and his Cat Dad persona was everything!
This book had me laughing from the get-go. That ad the book starts with is 🤌Chef’s Kiss.
I must admit that it took me a while to like Dakota. I didn’t like her for a good chunk of the book. Don’t worry, she redeems herself, but it was hard. She felt bratty and b1tchy, and I wanted to smack her.
The narrators did an excellent job of bringing the characters to life. I loved them for the roles.
Overall, a great continuation to the series. I can’t wait for the last brother!

Loved the first one!
Love the second one!
I need to sit on this for a little bit to think of the review more.
I overall loved the entire vibe of the book and even though there was a lot of negative interactions, the overall vibe is positive somehow????
I don’t know. I’m boggled 😂
I don’t know, let me get my shit together it’s like 4am and I’ve been reading since 10pm
🫣
Ok it’s now 12pm and I can think better!
I enjoyed the dynamic between the two characters.
I feel like in a lot of enemies to lovers situations they definitely jump from enemies to lovers far too quickly.
Both of the characters here were a lot more hesitant despite the fact that there was such a strong physical pull to each other.
I loved finding out at the end of the book all the extra little spoilers that I will absolutely not be telling you here!
My only thing I really didn’t enjoy the whole sex club scenarios, it just kinda gives me the ick so… fair warning to anybody reading this who’s not into that type of setting

The Fletcher Brothers do not disappoint and this enemies to lovers with Calder and Dakota is fire! The “I don’t like you but I’m happy to f*ck you anyway but oh wait I’m in love with you and I’m not ready for that but don’t want anyone else” is magic! And it’s more than just their romance, it’s the growth as people; people figuring out who they are and fighting for the other to see themselves for who they are. So many good emotional and physical layers. But you can’t leave out the humor and the banter either.

“Just try not to pet my head again, cat daddy.”

Nine Month Contract by Amy Daws was my favorite February read so I had high hopes for this one!! Seven Year Itch delivered in a big way. First of all, Calder and his cat Milkshake are everything. He’s got that golden retriever energy about him- yet he cannot stay out an argument with Dakota- his brother’s wife’s best friend. He and Dakota go way back, and unfortunately the history is not pleasant. Dakota is a strong
business-owning FMC who is recently divorced.
One night, Calder decides to return to the sex club he and his brothers used to visit back in the day, when he is shocked to run into Dakota. Despite their awful history, he finds himself coming to her rescue when she finds herself in too deep.
Dakota, is NOT pleased as she was attempting to expose herself to some new experiences to figure out why her sex life with her ex was so awful.
A few weeks later, they fly to Calder’s brother Wyatt’s wedding in Mexico and are faced with the news that there is only one room for them due to some emergency construction at the resort.
Sparks fly- mostly insults and a bloody nose- and the interactions between them are hilarious! They are both so pissed, but as the reader, we are giggling and kicking our feet because we know what comes next! Let that tension build, besties- we will be right here with our popcorn, waiting for you to give in!
I absolutely love the way Amy Daws writes! There are no slow parts or missing pieces to the story. She ties everything together and adds so much spice and humor along the way! 🥵
Huge thank you to Amy Daws, Harlequin Trade Publishing, and NetGalley for sending me the arc copy last weekend! I can’t wait to pick up the gorgeous paperback version!!

at my brother's destination wedding I am forced to share a room with someone who is the bane of my existence. will they learn to get along?
