3.5 Stars 🌟
If I was marking for writing and story telling it would be an easy five stars however…..I’m probably not going to be very popular here when I say I wasn’t that keen on Dakota…but I’m sorry I wasn’t!
The sad thing is, I did start to like her in the middle but then I changed my mind again by the ending!!
I feel she was pretty hard on Calder and seemed to blame him for all the things that had gone wrong in her own life, without actually taking any responsibility for her own bad choices and inability to stand up for herself. She was selfish and self-centred …so what if she had become a little bit more curvy…women are meant to have curves, but only she can either do something about it or just fully embrace it! I just felt like she was constantly moaning about her life!!
Calder was always honest about his lifestyle, his choices and I felt he got some pretty harsh judgement from not just Dakota but also his family. Yes, the way he lived wasn’t for everyone, however he was always up front with his expectations and the fact that he was out for a good time!
I’m pleased he finally told them how he felt but it was certainly no thanks to Dakota! I wasn’t overly taken with the whole ‘cat in a carrier’ thing though….
This was a mixed bag for me. There were moments that had me chuckling but also parts that made
me a little frustrated!! The writing style is great and the supporting characters bring quite a bit to the story but it is quite lengthy …. I’m still looking forward to Luke’s story and finding out how his marriage of convenience arrangement goes…with his best friend!!

Thank you to Netgalley, the author, and Harlequin for the chance to read this advance copy. Seven-Year Itch by Amy Daws sizzles with spicy chemistry and humour, making for an entertaining read. However, the miscommunication and third-act breakup scenes veer into excessive immaturity. At times they feel over-the-top and stretch credibility. Despite that, the magnetic leads and witty banter kept me hooked. It’s a fun, steamy romance that never quite reached its full potential to me. 3.5/5

I received this book as an ARC. I have read other books by this author. Unfortunately, I just couldn't get into this one. The characters did not draw me in and there just wasn't enough dialogue.

3.5 stars
Another Amy Daws book that has my feelings all over the place. Let’s start with the characters, because that’s a positive. I love Dakota and Calder; both are fantastic and thoughtful people, no matter how they may come across at times. You cannot judge them by their interactions with each other as they are stuck in a sort of rivalry, but there’s nothing to fight over. When it comes to loyalty to their loved ones and taking one for the team, Calder and Dakota are who you turn to. They get things done. On paper, they are perfect for each other. Yet when they are put together, it’s like trapping two cats in a bag.
Of course, part of their “hatred” for each other is not liking the feelings they get when around each other. For me, this was both a good and a bad thing. First, this is a dual POV book, but we don’t get Dakota’s POV until the 7th chapter. Then, it takes so long for them to finally hook up. I get that it’s an enemies-to-lovers type thing, but it started wearing thin. To add insult to injury, they go back to fighting after their tryst, and it takes a bit more to have them regularly on page together in a fashion that is not fighting or being mean and being petulant.
When it comes to Calder’s feelings about life in general – his work, his home, his family – this story is fabulous. I love that Calder opens up to Dakota and she becomes so protective of him, understanding him in a way nobody else does. Nobody but Dakota seems to look past Calder’s laid-back ways and willingness to help anyone at any time.
With as much as both characters grew throughout this story, especially with each other, I was disappointed on the way the third-act break-up played out. I felt the characters reverted to their bad habits too quickly and didn’t hold onto what they really knew about each other when it counted. Instead, they were once again judging each other by their previous thoughts and interactions. It was frustrating for me.
As I said, my feelings were all over the place. Ultimately, I did enjoy this story and will pick up the next book in the series.

I really liked Dakota as the FMC but Calder drove me absolutely insane. He redeemed himself a little in the end but this man is in his 30s acting like a petulant teenager. He reads like a man written by a man, not a woman. Overall Dakota’s story of finding herself post divorce was great, and I loved her coming into her own. Him though? Ick.

Love Amy Daws and this series!
Amy Daws is wonderful and I haven’t read a series of hers I didn’t love and fall in love with the characters.
Seven Year Itch follows is a fun enemies to lovers/one bed trope! It is a standalone, but this series is better if you read the first book(which is wonderful)!
Please read Calder and Dakotas hilarious trip to Mexico.

I loved book one in the Mountain Man series and book two did not disappoint! Seven Year Itch is a hilarious, heartfelt and spicy enemies to lovers romance that had me fully hooked from page one.
Calder is the grumpy, tattooed, emotionally walled-off mountain man with layers… and snark for days. Dakota is the loud, fiery, newly-divorced best friend of his sister-in-law and she’s finally rediscovering herself.
Forced to share a room on a tropical getaway? Cue the fireworks. The banter is electric, the tension is off the charts and their chemistry? Unmissable.
I loved watching Dakota step into her confidence and Calder slowly unravel in the best possible way. Their dynamic is chaotic, hilarious and so full of heart.
Thank you to NetGalley and Harlequin Trade Publishing for the ARC for my honest review. This is officially one of my favorite Amy Daws reads!

This book had me laughing a lot out loud because the banter was so on point. Definitely a step up from Book one and I love when a series gets a little bit better with each book.
Calder and Dakota’s no-strings fling had me laughing, swooning, and yelling at the FMC to open her eyes. Some really fun and funny moments for sure!
Calder as we saw in the first book is funny, I love the whole cat Daddy and the carrier he had going on, like talk about a secure man. It just had some great emotional ups and downs, with a balance of laugh out loud moments and also that spice everyone craves.
Can’t wait to keep reading the series !

Sexual Exploration Romcom. The title of this review says it all. This is *easily* one of the actually closest to erotica romcoms I've ever encountered, with pretty well the entire plot focused around sexual exploration and a somewhat thin, yet still fun and compelling, plot wrapped around that to tie the sex scenes together.
I would say the comedic elements here are fewer and further between than they were in Nine Month Contract, but they're still present - and the animals (primarily a cat in this tale, which first appeared in Nine Month Contract) don't quite steal the scenes as much in this tale, despite being nearly equally present.
Instead, this book revolves more around healing from past traumas of both halves of our main couple, including one particular event seven years ago that may not have gone down exactly as each understood it to have.
And yes, lots and lots of ghost pepper level "spice", though without some of the elements of Nine Month Contract that may have turned some off from that tale. And while this part of the tale may make some uncomfortable, it is actually handled quite well within the story being told.
Overall still a compelling romance with comedic moments, this one is likely less problematic for some than its predecessor, while still being nearly as problematic as its predecessor - or even more problematic - for others. Still, for what it actually is, it really is quite good and any issues are with the reader, not with Daws' storytelling here.
Very much recommended.

Y'all who doesn't love a hunky bearded tattooed muscle man whose in love with his cat baby!? Calder and Dakota have a hate to love relationship that's filled to the brim with sarcastic banter and delicious sexual tension . Set at a destination wedding starring two stubborn MCs and filled with a meddling niece , brother bonds, just one room, and a spicy friends with benefits arrangement. Amy Daws is a rom con queen and I can't wait for the next book in the Mountain Men Matchmaker series !

5 Star Review Seven Year Itch (Mountain Men Matchmaker #2) by Amy Daws
When I read the blurb for Seven Year Itch it captured my attention.
This is Dakota and Calder’s enemies to lovers story and one I was invested in from the first chapter to the last.
The sparks fly between our couple and not in a good way. That is until they attend a wedding together on a tropical island and sparks of another kind occur.
Their chemistry is intense but what happens after the wedding. Asking Calder for his help is the last thing she wanted to do but one does what is necessary.
What follows is an entertaining, witty story that ticked the boxes for me.

Another 5 star read! Amy knows how to right the perfect romcom- heartfelt, hilarious and just an overall good time! I laughed out loud several times. This one was enemies to lovers and the banter had me kicking my feet and squealing! I can’t wait for more from Amy Daws!

This was the first book I have read from this author and I enjoyed her writing style. She had a great blend of spice, plot, and character development. I would certainly read more from this author now that I’m familiar with her.
I was amused with how the enemies to lovers trope was combined with a to do list/contract theme. I loved the backstory and setup, and I had a blast as they worked through their PowerPoint checklist.
MMC is heavily entrenched in his family and the family business which was relatable. I really liked the idea of the siblings all living on the same mountain peak.
FMC did have several female friends and I did have a hard time keeping track of which was which at times. In the end, it didn’t seem to really matter, but I appreciate that she had a solid support system.
Overall this was a great romance read that I would recommend to a friend.

I really enjoyed this book. I loved seeing their relationship change and twitch to something new. The chemistry was amazing and had me fanning myself. The writing in this book had me loving these characters.

This is the second book in the Fletcher Mountain Men Brothers series. Calder and his two brothers have their own construction company. Seven years ago, Calder remodeled the FMC, Dakota’s house. There was a mishap and some damage, and that’s where fun begins. I’m so ready for the third book in the series. Along with the ebook, I also purchased the audiobook because who doesn’t love Teddy Hamilton.

Seven Year Itch is a hilarious, spicy rom-com from Amy Daws. I laughed so much reading this! It had all the feels, a great story, and amazing characters. Dakota and Calder might just be my new favourite couple.. I can't wait for the next book in the series!

I loved this small town romance between Calder and Dakota! This was a perfect enemies to lovers with a bit of close proximity. The spice was spicy. And I just loved Calder. He was so sweet with Dakota who was getting over a rough divorce. I also loved how this book had a lot of Easter eggs from the previous book in the series! The character development was great! I love these two together!
Thank you to Net Galley for the ARC copy of this title!

Author Amy Daws is just a hoot- her sense of humor is so fun and I always adore her heroines. This book was simply hilarious and made me smile so much. Cat Daddy? Goodness, that made me giggle every time. The banter was perfect and I am always in for an enemies to lovers tale.

Fletcher Mountain here I come! Amy Daws has done it again. I have been SO excited for Calder’s story since we first met him in Last on the List. Because let’s face it, he was always main character energy! But he really sealed the deal in Nine Month Contract. Unraveling all his layers was so much fun. I absolutely loved Dakota! That woman stands on business! She is tenacious and not to be messed with. I think that is exactly what draws Calder to her. Their book is an “enemies to lovers” dream. It’s lighthearted but emotional. The banter is wicked. The “forced proximity” makes the spice top tier. You will swoon and laugh out loud at all the chaos on this mountain. Wyatt and Calder down, next up… Luke! Can’t wait to see what Everly has in store for him. Plus, I hope we see her get a HEA too!

I rated this 3.5 stars. I enjoyed but did feel like it could have been a little shorter. I liked the banter
