Classic contemporary romance with funny, unique characters. Easy read with witty humor and fun storylines

Another 5 star read!! I love Amy's writing and body positivity!! Love that Calder got story. If you read 9 month contract, you have to read this one! Top series for me. Funny, sexy and always animals.

A small town, enemies to lovers romance. It was ok. I felt at times the funny moments were a little forced and the hate a little much. Not sure I could relate to either character in their thoughts or feel like they were meant for each other. I think the cringe factors kept it from being higher rated for me.
Thank you Netgalley and Harlequin for this electronic copy for my honest review.

Thank you to NetGalley and Amy Daws for letting me read an ARC of the Seven Year Itch!!!
I truly enjoyed Seven Year Itch, this is book two in the Mountain Men Series and I so far both books were 4 stars for me!!
This book follows the middle brother Calder who we met in book one and Dakota who is recently divorced! These two can’t stand each other but one night they run into each other at a sex club and decide to enter into an enemies with benefits relationship!!!
With the help of some meddling friends and the best niece Everly they realize that they actually love and care for each other!!
I absolutely loved the journey that these two went on together with making their way through their “sex bucket list” and slowly falling for each other but I also loved their individual journeys they went on as well. With Calder finally deciding to branch out from his brothers and do his own thing and Dakota finally asking for what she deserves in relationships and seeing that she’s more than her body!!!
I can’t wait to read the next book in this series and this release on June 17th so please go read it!!!

What do you get when a grumpy, tattooed cat dad and his ex-nemesis are forced to share a room at a destination wedding? A whole lot of tension, banter, and a steamy enemies-to-lovers vacation setup that turns into something much deeper.
Calder and Dakota have been sparring for years, but now that she’s newly single and asking for help rebuilding her confidence, the sparks they’ve been denying become impossible to ignore.
This second book in the Mountain Men Matchmaker series brings the laughs, the heat, and just enough emotional punch to keep things grounded. The chemistry is legit, the banter is sharp, and the sex/kink exploration feels honest and refreshing.
🎧 Audiobook lovers, this one's a win! Erin Mallon brings Dakota’s fiery energy to life, while Teddy Hamilton captures Calder’s laid-back humor and unexpected sweetness with ease. Their dynamic adds extra punch to the banter and turns up the volume on every spicy moment. It’s the kind of narration that pulls you in and doesn’t let go—fun, fierce, and perfectly cast.
Thank you @amydawsauthor, @htpbooks and @htpbooks_audio for the #gifted ebook arc and the ALC. All opinions expressed are my own.

Definitely enemies to lovers. Dislike to lovers? Still some dislike while lovers?
Anyways, it's just so funny. Calder and his sister-in-law's best friend do NOT get along. Dakota hasn't liked him since he ruined her house reno years ago.
But when she's invited too on his brothers wedding trip to Mexico, the two of them get stuck sharing a room. They might annoy each other to distraction, but they're both attracted to each other. Dakota has just gone through a divorce, so she's actually looking to explore.
So when he runs into her in a place, he'd never think to see her? He's shocked. And through some meddling from others, ready to help her.
Love this family. They're so ready to get into each other's business. And being as it's an Amy Daws novel, there's hilarity, spice, and a HEA. With these two, though, it really takes some growing.
Is there only one more Fletcher brother left?!

Absolutely adorable. This whole series is a spin off of one of her previous, but is much more developed and the characters are much stronger. The three brothers living on a mountain and their niece searching for women for them to complete their lives is a hilarious concept. I think the two in this novel had more chemistry than the first book, and the spice is off the chart! This is the best intro to BDSM and kink that I've seen in romance novels. True to form, gentle, not patronizing in any one direction. Can't wait to see where the third brother lands!

I received a free arc in return for my honest opinion.
I read this as a stand alone. Right from the first page it had me laughing. Total small town romance. Calder and Dakota had me laughing. They have different personalities. I love how strong their feelings are through the book. I love that the family aspect is so strong i think that it helps develop the characters. I'm a sucker for an enemies to lovers. I cant get enough of it when they are done right and this one was!

Seven Year Itch was everything I’d hoped it would be. Amy Daws does such a great job of blending witty banter, ridiculous shenanigans, spicy romance, and emotional vulnerability. I absolutely adored it and I love this series so so much!
Dakota is such a strong, sassy heroine, and she absolutely loathes Calder. I loved watching her find her confidence again after going through a bad marriage and terrible divorce. And don’t even get me started on Calder. He is a sinfully good looking, cocky, tattooed, bearded mountain man who is a one night stand kind of guy, makes custom furniture with his bare hands, and is unapologetically obsessed with his pet cat. His inner monologue was hilarious, and I couldn’t get enough of him.
The audiobook is narrated by Teddy Hamilton and Erin Mallon and it’s fantastic. I highly recommend listening to this one to fully appreciate the quirky animal sidekicks, meddling but lovable family members, and
enemies-to-lovers romance filled with forced proximity, slow-burning chemistry,
fighting-as-flirting, and touching emotional depth. This series is so much fun, and I can’t wait for the next one!
Thank you to The Hive, Mira Books & Canary Street Press, HTP audio, HTP, Amy Daws, and NetGalley for the ARC, ALC, and the PR box of my dreams!

My gawd I’m an Amy daws fan. I can’t wait to meet her on Monday.
First of all, THIS MANNNNNN. Secondly CAT DADDY. My god.
Next HERRRRR. Period. Absolutely LOVED them and ABSOLUTELY loved this story. The niece is absolutely amazing and I love her meddling !! These stories are so fun to read and these characters are laugh out loud, kicking and giggle, while swooning in the bedroom 🥵 I can’t wait for the next book!!!

I had really high hopes for this one but I could tell right away it wasn’t for me. It wasn’t at all what I expected and didn’t seem to get better at all. I even went back and reread the description to see if there was any indication of its actual content but I thought this was going to be a normal run of the mill enemies to lovers.
Personally, I like when books build up to certain levels rather than jump right in. My mistake and this could definitely just be a personal preference when it comes to my dislike. I’m giving it two stars because I’m sure it’s good for someone else out there and seems to be well written.

Another Mountain story for the Books! Calder Playboy and Dakota a Newly Divorce, I mean what is there more to ask for? Especially when it's an Enemies to Friends with Benefits to Lovers situation.
Those are some of my Favorite tropes, but bring in Cat Daddy and Best Uncle haha I'm sold! Thank You Netgalley and Amy for the Chance to Read this Book 🙏

This story was so funny! Loved Dakota & Calder. This is the second book in the Mountain Men Matchmaker series. Story starts with Dakota, recently divorced & trying to find herself again, she decides that she wants to go to a $3x club. There she finds Calder, who is the bane of her existence. Series of funny & planned events happen that we see them entering an agreement of enemies with benefits. You can guess how's that going to end up! But it was so good to see them develop feelings for each other, to see Dakota love herself again. Unfortunately, I know the damage it does when you are surrounded by people who love to bring others down, so seeing Dakota regain her self-love was amazing. Calder, this cat daddy was on a different level. He was funny & I just loved how he never wanted to change Dakota even though she drove him crazy. And Dakota, pushing Calder to be the best version of himself. Love it!!! Can't wait to read Luke's story 🔥

The book was so fun. The banter jumps off the page. I feel like I'm present when Calder & Dakota bickering in front of the bird cage, and that Calder turned to be kind, and Dakota tries to reconcile her feelings. Their run-ins were shocking yet they turned it into something, like they know the other person is open to it, maybe there's more. And as they peel back that onion, there were alot more and it's nothing but positive and high regards for each other, and they don't even know it.
This is my first book with the author. I like how she just dives straight in and I giggled several spots in the book. She brought broody mountain man to live and yet have so much humor. The pacing is good, move things along, which is also what I like. As usual, I'm not the 3rd act kinda girl, but I love how the lightbulb finally clicks in for both of them (separately) and get their heads out of their behinds and be honest-all the way.
I actually did not know about the siblings having their own books, but now I have to go back and read them too. The entire clan seems to be fun, all had their journeys but family to the core.
Thank you to NetGalley and Harlequin Trade Publishing for the eARC.

What do you get when you cross a big, tough tattooed Mountain man with his SIL newly divorced sister? One crazy ride that's for sure. Be sure to read this one for some laughs and cat love.

This enemies to lovers, small town romance delivers laughter, heat and heart. Seven Year Itch is the second book in the Mountain Man Matchmaker series, and is a standalone story.
This one features Dakota and Calder. She’s fresh from her divorce and in need of some new experiences in her life. So off to a s*x club she goes. That’s where she bumps into Calder, a man she cannot stand. He can’t stand her either. They bicker and fight constantly. When he suggests some fun time together, things heat up.
I loved how much these two characters bickered and fought. It bought a fun element to the story but it’s when the brutal honesty hits that’s when you’ll laugh, cry and feel for them both.
Just a damn good read. Thank you @amydawsauthor and @netgalley for the e-ARC of this story.

When Calder is looking for a last minute date to his brothers destination wedding, he doesn't expect to be carrying his enemy out of a s** club. Moreso, he doesn't expect to be sharing a room with her at said destination wedding.
Second book in a series, but I read it as a standalone. Can absolutely be done, but big spoilers for the first book in it, so start at book one if you don't want that!
The Tinder bio at the beginning gets its own separate rating - 11/5. Great start to the book, definitely made me laugh.
This was my first Amy Daws book, and I wasn't disappointed. I really liked the banter between not only Dakota & Calder, but between Calder and his brothers, too.
It was a little heavy on the miscommunication trope, not gonna lie, and I wanted to shake them violently.
Overall, I would recommend this to people who like romcoms and vacation vibes.
Thank you so much for the opportunity to read this book early!

Thank you Amy Daws and NetGalley for this ARC.
Where do I start with Calder and Dakota. They have known each other for years and Dakota just got divorced and they run into each other at a sex club of all places. Sounds weird but it’s leads to them seeing each other as more than enemies for something that happened seven years ago. Add in a mastermind named Everly when they are in Mexico for Wyatt and Trista’s wedding and you start to wonder does what happens in Mexico stay in Mexico.
Just like Wyatt, Calder was swearing off relationships and planning to be single his whole life until the right person happened to worm their way into his heart. Dakota and Calder help each other get over things that have been weighing them down for years. Dakota’s ex husband wasn’t the nicest especially when drunk and Calder is the “middle child” (if you act like Max doesn’t exist he really is) and you could tell.
I’m sorry but the plot twist when it came to the whole thing from seven years ago had me shocked but I should have seen it coming.
I said this in my review for book 1 and I’ll say it again in this one because it fits. There are parts of this story that some people might not like but you always have to remember to each their own. This book might be a 1 star read for one person and a 5 star read for another. You never know what you will think until you read it for yourself.
Overall I really liked this book and will definitely be reading the next book because I need to know what happens with Luke and Addison.

Another golden read, Amy! Calder and Dakota have been "enemies" for years now, BUT the tension and banter are explosive. It was only a matter of time before we got what we all wanted 😅😅 I love reading Amy's work and know I'm in for a ride. It's delicious seeing these Mountain Men become somewhat "civilised" without actually being civilised 😂😂. Great characters as usual, and I'm excited for the Honeymoon Phase (Luke & Addison)

All Calder wants is a date for his brother's destination wedding. What he gets is his dating profiles hacked and a series of events that lead to him sharing space with Dakota, his sister-in-law's friend. The two of them have an antagonistic relationship to start, but it doesn't take long for their chemistry and connection to change how they view one another.
Amy is one of my favorite rom-com authors, and this book is a good example of why. It has a nicely paced plot with laugh-out-loud moments, great banter, and a funny and fun case of characters. This book is a fantastic addition to the series and I liked getting to see Calder's HEA.
