I didn't think I could love another Fletcher brother as much as I loved Wyatt but Mr. Cat Daddy Calder gave him a run for his money with this one! Good thing I'm a why choose girlie because at this point I can't choose!! Then we have our fmc Dakota she's sassy & takes crap from no one!! I connected to her so much because she doesn't think before she speaks so her intrusive thoughts just come out! She makes the perfect addition to the mountain!!

Calder & Dakota are a freaking power couple!! They are the true definition of enemies to lovers. They fought each other tooth & nail but when it came down to it they also supported each other. The spice was spicy & the banter was off the charts to the point my husband asked me if I was okay because I was laughing so hard I was in full-blown tears!! I'm excited to see what Amy has in store for us next!!

This was my favorite book by this author, it was just my kind of story. It had my laughing out loud from the very first paragraph and it just got better and better with every page. It was so well written and had a great flow.

Calder and Dakota had so much chemistry and I loved the tension between them. The story was fun and full of banter and it just made me want Fletcher Mountain to be a real place.

Audiobook review: Listening to this story was a joy and the two narrators did a phenomenal job portraying Calder and Dakota.

Amy Daws you beautiful genius. We are back on Fletcher Mountain with 7 Year Itch. This is book two in the Mountain Man Matchmaker series. It is technically a stand alone but I loved it so much more reading in order. In true Amy Daws fashion you can expect all the laugh out loud moments, banter, swoon worthy moments and the perfect amount of spice. I cannot wait to see where she takes the next installment of this series!

Love love love! This was such a great story between Dakota and Calder. The tension and spice between these enemies to lovers was off the charts. And the full on gasp out loud moment I had near the end when I found out what REALLY happened 7 years ago was *chefs kiss*. Their ending was so cute and loved both epilogues. Can't wait for the last Fletcher to fall with Luke.

In the follow up to The Nine Month Contract, we follow Calder and Dakota. Calder finds himself at his brother’s Mexico wedding without a date. When his niece, Everly meddles again, they find themselves stuck in a palapa together. And they hate each other. But maybe they can help each other out.

First, we start this book in a sex club. So. She spicy. Enemies to lovers is hot, period. And Calder helps Dakota check off items on her list. We love it. I’m still obsessed with this family and how they are there for each other.

Family is complicated and messy, but despite all this family has been through, they support each other through it all. And we love the girl gang that has formed between Cozy, Trista, and Dakota 🫶🏻

I absolutely adored Dakota and Calder’s love story! It was lots of work to get there at the end, but they did it! It was funny and wild and steamy. I love all the characters in this series, and I can’t wait for more.

After reading the first book in this series, I desperately hoped that I would love the second book as much as I did the first.

I loved getting to read Cat Daddy - aka Calder's book! ugh! love this guy.
Everly - everyone's favorite niece and the ultimate matchmaker, sets Calder up with Dakota. Dakota happens to be Cozy's best friend. I love how Amy keeps the family dynamics consistent from book one to book two! Love her writing.
This book was SPICY and I loved it.
Calder and Dakota don't have the best history, but when things heat up between them, all of that goes out the door.
All the best ingredients for an enemies to lovers book are here. The banter is on fire. I laughed so much during this book.
The found family that this group of characters have with one another is beautiful and carries over to this book from the first.
When I say this book has SPICE... I mean... SPICE.. nice healthy sexual exploration in this book.
The chemistry.. oh my goodness.
Calder is such a softie at heart.
I kept fussing at Dakota internally to open her eyes to what was right in front of her.
I love this book. I love Amy Daws. This is the best series I have read in a while!

𝗠𝘆 𝗧𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀:
Oh. Em. Gee. I LOVE LOVE LOVED this audiobook so freaking much. The narrators were 🤌🏻, the dual narration is the best style of narration ever. Period. I actually enjoyed the audiobook more than the ebook- and that’s rare for me who loves to eyeball 👀 read more.

This story was so fun, the banter, the sexual exploration aspect, the humor, and relationships between the brothers. And let’s not forget Milkshake the 🐈‍⬛- Dakota is someone I’d love to hang out with and grab drinks! The sass is strong with that one.

I cannot recommend this book enough. It’s book two of a intertwined trilogy. I read it as a stand alone and am chomping at the bit to read the others now.

It's great to be back on Amy Daws' Fletcher mountain....and this time, she's convinced me that I should buy a hot tub.

Dakota is single for the first time in her 30s and looking to get her groove back. So when she runs into her old nemesis Calder Fletcher at a sex club, she is annoyed to be so attracted to her old nemesis.
Body acceptance has been featuring more and more into romance novels, but I found that this plot line really spoke to me. My body will never be what it was in my 20s after having a baby and it's hard to feel confident and sexy in it.

What else did I enjoy about this book? I loved the secondary characters (someone get me an Everly romance, stat). I really enjoyed that Dakota owned her old cool t-shirt shop (Spaceboy Clothing in Wilmington is my local cool t-shirt shop, and I imagined her being half as awesome as the owners) and reading this book just made me happy.

I will note that this is a spicy one, and not for the faint of heart. But definitely a fun book - I can't wait to read the next book about youngest Fletcher brother Luke.

Calder and Dakota are the perfect enemies to lovers. I loved the journey these two take. But I also love that we get to see all the fletcher brothers and family. Amy Daws is amazing at not only writing romcom but she does emotional moments that have me tearing up. I love this series so much. I can’t wait for Luke’s book!

I loved this book. Normally the second book in series doesn’t do justice, but this book is my FAVORITE. I love Calder and Dakota chemistry. Calder growing through out the book, Dakota having an open-mind and exploring new adventures.

Back to Fletcher Mountain we go, and this time, we’re finally getting Calder’s story. Brother number three, the grumpy, beardy, emotionally repressed cat dad who’s been beefing with Dakota for seven years. And let me tell you, I clocked their tension way back in Last on the List, so I was more than ready for this slow-burn chaos.

Dakota, Cozy’s bestie and newly divorced queen, heads to Mexico for Cozy and Max’s wedding. Guess who she ends up stuck with in a palapa? Calder Freakin’ Fletcher. One bed. Forced proximity. Baggage. Banter. And so much unresolved sexual tension.

Then Dakota asks Calder to help her get her groove back. Post-divorce glow-up energy. And we all know how that goes. Enemies to lovers? Try enemies with benefits who catch real feelings. This book brings the heat. Amy Daws did not come to play. I was fanning myself one page and clutching my heart the next.

You get everything you'd expect from an Amy Daws romance. Big spice, sharp wit, and those gut-punch emotional moments that sneak up on you when you least expect it. I laughed. I blushed. I cheered. I wanted to crawl into the pages and join family dinner with the Fletchers.

If you love second chances, hot grumps, tropical shenanigans, and watching a confident woman reclaim her magic, you need this book in your life. Go get it, and bring a fan.

Man, do I love the Fletcher Brothers. Calder and Dakota’s story I would say is explosive. The two are fire crackers individually and when you get them together it’s like the Fourth of July. They have an enemies to lovers things going on. It’s truly a fine line between love and hate with these two. But when they set their sites on a common goal, they find themselves growing in ways. Neither one of them thought they could, and the way they believe in each other is just beautiful. This is definitely a TBR add.

I liked the premise of this book, however, I found the writing to be kind of clunky? I also found Dakota to be an unlikeable character, I don't know if it's because the author really want to hone in the enemies to lovers trope but every time she talked about the ruined reno/wedding dress I groaned.
I liked the brothers and their backstories. I haven't read the other books in the series, but I didn't think it was needed to fully understand what was happening, just would have had more backstory for the secondary characters.

Calder Fletcher deserves all the stars! He had me Team Calder from start to finish. I wholeheartedly adore him. I’ve always found Daws creates and shapes some of the most amazing MMCs, and Calder is the newest to the list.
If you’re familiar with her books, then you’ll know a lot of her storylines tend to include an eclectic range of romance tropes, some of which effortlessly work well together, and some, in my opinion, takes a little more convincing before you’re sold on the idea. Seven Year Itch is the latter.
I love a good, giggle-inducing enemies-to-lovers story. But I feel it only hooks you in if the MCs have natural chemistry and there’s a genuine flow within plot development. Dakota is not one of my fave FMC of Daws. She had moments here and there but overall; I had trouble connecting with her. I wish she displayed substantial character growth. Dakota is an acquired taste. She’s a hard personality, with an even stronger POV, and it often clashed with Calder’s. I think readers will either love her or hate her.
If I was unclear earlier, Calder Fletcher is what made this book for me. I loved the layers in his personality, and the complexity of his personal story. He can lighten the mood with a simple smile, a good-natured joke, or with a sweet gesture. Add his rugged good looks, the charm, and the fact that he’s a total cat dad, and you got yourself one lovable mountain man.
The first quarter of the book dragged on a little bit for my liking, but the rest of the story does eventually pick-up pace. If you’re a fan of a slow-burn, then you’ll most likely enjoy the incessant war of words before anything remotely friendly even develops between Calder and Dakota. But once the opportunity presents itself, you’ll be inundated with sexual content. There is, however, a backdrop or two that may not be to everyone’s cup of tea, but try keeping an open mind to Calder’s and Dakota’s kinky escapades.
It’s a rom-com with a good chunk of seriousness and meaning thrown in for good measure. On the surface, the romantic elements exhibited playfulness and good fun. But underneath, it presented relatable life experiences such as dealing with grief, insecurities, starting a new life chapter, putting yourself out there, as well as working on one’s mental and emotional well-being. Like the first book in the series, it has heart. So, despite not being a fan of certain parts of this book, I am happy I read it because by the end, I came away smiling.
Although it can be read as a standalone, it’s still a pivotal story that not only connects you to the first in the series, but the next one that follows. I do recommend reading Nine Month Contract (and possibly Last On The List—the book the introduces you to the brothers) to get the full Fletcher brothers, mountain men experience.
Calder’s familial interactions are the highlights. The knowledge of their family history, the banter, and the heart-to-hearts made for genuine relationships and provided depth to the story. This is only book two in the series, but I’m already well and truly invested in the brothers’ lives, their tight-knit bond, and their overall dynamics.
Seven Year Itch is a little cute, and a whole lotta crazy! It takes you on quite a reading experience. I, for one, haven’t read anything like it before. The writing is easy to follow, vivid, and is a great addition to the Fletcher brothers’ world. Three brothers down, youngest one to go. I’m looking forward to reading Luke’s book next.

Amys written another book in the Mountain Men series filled with snappy banter, laugh-out-loud moments, and an addictive read that makes her stories so easy to breeze through.

Dakota has always been someone's else's nightmare but now, seven years later, both of them stuck on this tropical island, shes his problem. I enjoyed the body positivity in this book and how Dakota was a firey main character. Or maybe that was just her hate towards Calder which was humorous when it was from Calders POV. Calder is the ultimate funny cat dad, and his sarcastic inner monologue had me cracking up. Dakota, on the other hand, is a fiery divorcee trying to reclaim her confidence—especially in the bedroom—and I loved her journey.

There’s plenty of spice between Calder an Dakota. There's no holding back on the spice, and the chemistry is off the charts between them. But it’s not just steam; there’s constant tension that keeps you on the edge of your seat just waiting for theme to do it!!!! Or rip each other's throats out. The enemies to lovers vibes are constant and really hitting the mark. The forced proximity added fuel to the fire, and while things started off as friends-with-benefits, there was emotional tension and so many funny moments.

I always love a meddling family and this series has that at it's foundation. I loved the premesis of the story and how their relationship blossomed. Their romance was both chaotic and charming.

Amy Daws delivers the perfect cocktail of chaos, chemistry, and character growth in Seven Year Itch. From the opening disaster of a destination wedding to a flannel-filled mountain redemption arc, this book had me laughing out loud and sighing into my pillow.

Calder Fletcher is the exact kind of mountain man readers dream about—tattooed, bearded, grumpy, and secretly soft. His fake dating profile might be a joke, but his charm and emotional depth are very real. Dakota, fresh off a divorce and done with all things male, is fiery, sharp-witted, and completely relatable. Their hate-fueled banter turns into steamy tension with a side of surprising vulnerability, and Milkshake the cat? Absolute scene-stealer.

Absolutely loved this story of a reformed lady's man who meets his match in a divorcee seeking to spice up her life! It's got humor, steam and sweetness.

First of all, Calder. OMG. From the moment he straps his cat Milkshake into a baby carrier sling for a walk in the woods, I was enamored. Not to mention his hacked Tinder profile made me sputter laugh when he grumpily growls his frustration. But it's Calder's underlying softness when it comes to his family that really made me melt.

Then there's Dakota. Newly divorced, she's out to prove she's not the bore that her ex claims is the reason for their failed marriage. That's why she's at a s-- club when Calder spots her and immediately thinks "hell to the no" is she gonna hook up with some rando.

The duo have history when Calder did renovation work for Dakota back when she was about to get married, and it's not pretty. AD draws us in to hear their thoughts and then the truth. Oh, how things would've been seven years earlier had it all come out then!

As they head to destination wedding so begins the hilarious shenanigans between Calder and Dakota, and of course, the schemings of a matchmaker who thinks they're perfect for each other.
