Aannd another Fletcher brother falls. I am truly enjoying this series. I absolutely love the Fletcher brothers and their loved one.

Calder was a bit interesting to get to know. He wasn't perfect. He was a bit annoying at times. But I liked his craziness. I loved his grumpy-ness.

Dakota was a strong independent business woman fresh out of a divorce and not at all confident in her sexuality. I liked her but was constantly annoyed with her. She couldn't let go of her anger at something that happened years ago. She kept yelling at Calder and accusing him of cauing all her wedding problems. She just hated him so much. Sure some of that anger was possibly sexual tension but after awhile it just got to be to much. I actually appreciated the climax because we could alleviate some of the yelling and name calling.

While I got tired of the fighting and name calling, this book was full of hilarious banter and great characters. It was definitely worth the read.

5⭐️ 3🌶️ This book had everything I wanted in an enemies-to-lovers romance. It started with them truly despising each other, then they slowly started to admit they were attracted to the other, then they broke the barrier into a physical relationship. The tension was high and when the spice hit, it slapped HARD in so many delicious ways!

Dakota and Calder are both emotionally broken from previous relationships and are hell bent on not being in relationships ever again. They both had a way of breaking each other’s walls down into a beautiful love. They had so many tender moments together that I adored!

I really enjoyed this second book in this series! The ending kind of slowed down for me but overall, still enjoyed visiting Mount Millie again. 🤣

There are some conversations of misogyny (from her ex husband, eff him) and body issues (they don’t last long) so look up TW.

This enemies to lovers story of Dakota and Calder was so sweet. I loved seeing Dakota really grow as a divorcee woman and find her confidence again. While Calder wasn’t fully the reason she gained it all back, I love how he helped her get there. Plus the banter was entertaining, especially when they’re in Mexico! Seeing Calder be a cat dad was too funny. The cat walks. 🤣

This book was pretty spicy. I mean we’re talking sex club here haha. I give it 4 🌶️ out of 5.

Some of my favorite moments: the volleyball game in Mexico, seeing Calder find himself, all the family banter.

Thank you so much NetGalley, Harlequin Trade Publishing and Amy Daws for the ARC in exchange of an honest review!

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC

This was such a fun read. The enemies to lovers between Calder and Dakota was so well done and their banter was hilarious. Calder as the middle child playboy, who no one take’s seriously, and Dakota who is coming off a divorce and has lost her self confidence. I loved seeing their growth not only together but as individuals. I had my doubts about Calder in the beginning, but any man who carries his cat in a carrier strapped to his chest so she can have outside time without getting hurt by wild animals…and yeah, doubts what doubts? This was my first book by Amy Daws, and it won’t be my last

The MMC is a cat daddy!!!! I am obsessed 🤩

This book was really good! It was so funny and had me laughing out loud and smiling. Calder and Dakota had met years ago…and they ended up hating each other and went their separate ways. Now they are back in each other’s lives and they clash! The tension and the chemistry and the banter between them was so good.

She is feisty and snarky and I loved her as the FMC. Oh Calder…he’s brooding and funny and has so many layers to him. This book is full of funny and spicy moments but also some really vulnerable ones too.

Two Words: He Crawls 🔥🔥🔥

I love The Fletcher brothers (and their family) so much!! The back and forth and meddling and banter was perfect. I mean, Calder’s family hacked his dating profile on Tinder and the results were hilarious!!

This was a fun and sexy read! I think I enjoyed it a lot more than the first book in the series. Dakota was brave putting herself out there, trying new things, and just finding herself once again. Calder acted as his sort of mentor and partner-in-crime when it came to her naughty list. Their disliked of each other was a driving force that pushed them together.

>> Enemies to lovers
>> Forced proximity
>> Cat daddy
>> Destination wedding
>> Naughty bucket list

I'm ready to dive in to the next book of this series!

Seven Year Itch is the 2nd book in Daw’s Mountain Men Matchmaker Series, but it can be read as a standalone. This series is top tier in the Romcom genre so I highly recommend.

Dakota is an independent, savvy business woman, who also happened to be the bane of Calder’s existence. Calder was known around town as the loud mouth mountain man and a cat daddy extraordinaire. He was in the family construction business with his brothers.
Off the bat, we are sucked in by the comedic banter. These two have known each other for 7 years. Nothing like a failed renovation, a lot of secrets and misconceptions and 2 people with past relationship traumas to make them hate to love each other.
Throw in some family meddling, a loving niece (Everly) who wants the best for her uncles🤣, a fun trip to Mexico, a sexy proposition (he helps Karen get her grove back), and a PowerPoint presentation to help these two become each other’s wingman. While they are each finding themselves, I love how they push and challenge each other. The tension, sass and underlying chemistry with Calder and Dakota was perfection. They are uninhibited and gain confidence as they explore “ the list”. Such a funny read and on the same token I loved how Amy shows both Dakota and Cadlers real, raw, and vulnerable sides. They slowly peel each other’s layers and finally after a plot twist another Fletcher brother is down for the count!
Great read.

Calder and Dakota's dynamic was incredibly entertaining. I would not say they bantered -- more like squabbled. Was it a little immature at times? Yes. But, honestly, it added to the hilarity of it all. They irked each other so much and I was living for it. I was a big fan of Calder being an open minded individual when it came to sex. I think it was handled in a great way to where it was not cringey or creepy. I also appreciated how supportive he was in letting Dakota explore new things. Although not when it came to getting other people involved -- but that for sure brought on some angst. The moments they would open up to one another were really sweet. Especially when Dakota would express insecurities with her body and Calder would be quick to shut those down and praise her. I think my favorite part was when Dakota stood up to the Fletcher's on behalf of Calder. She saw the real him and wanted that person to shine.

4.25 STARS ⭐

Seven Year Itch by Amy Daws was my introduction to the Mountain Men Matchmaker series. Let me just say, this book was hilarious. I laughed throughout the book.

Calder Fletcher is the middle child among the Fletcher brothers. He's a cat daddy and a rugged, tattooed mountain man 🙂‍↕️. His relationship with Dakota isn't the best and that's an understatement. These two truly loathe each other but things get pretty exciting when they share a room with only one bed at his brother's wedding 🤭.

Dakota is recently divorced and trying to find herself again after the disaster that was her marriage. She's a t-shirt owner and best friend with Calder's sis-in-law. She can't stand Calder after he ruined her home he was renovating. What happens in Mexico stays in Mexico.

This was such a fun read!! I loved the banter between Calder and Dakota and their chemistry was so intense. I loved getting to meet the Fletcher family for the first time!! This book is definitely great for fans of Meghan Quinn.

I really enjoyed book in this interconnected standalone series and I was really excited when I saw this book was coming out however this one just is not or me. It feel like our main characters don't have pent up tension but rather actually do not like the other person. The banter falls flat and there is no genuine emotional connection between our main characters. The only reason that I know they are sexually attracted to the other character is because it seems to be brought so much during their internal monologues that it starts to feel a little over done, especially so early on in the book.

This was a really fun one! I will definitely be reading the other books in the series. It was funny, emotional, and spicy.

so this book had me during the we’re-fucking-and-falling-in-love-and-pretending-we’re-not saga, but that one quiet gut-punch scene in the middle of their feb mess? that’s when i really rooted for them lol it gave them depth bc sometimes characters really are just thrown together but they really grew together.

“i can have issues with someone and still want to show that i care.-” (full quote at the bottom to prevent big ole spoilers lol) *cue me throwing my kindle across the room in emotional distress

so yeah—grumpy mountain man + secretly soft chaotic woman = surprisingly tender, messy, swoony magic. i laughed, i blushed, i yelled at them (lovingly) true delight from start to finish

ALSO TENS STARS FOR MILKSHAKE THE TRUE STAR ⭐️

thank you Harlequin Trade Publishing and netgalley for this arc, thank u thank u to amy daws for such a fun romance I can’t wait to read the next!! ur covers are just too cute!!

“You drove all the way up here to leave it and didn’t make any for my brothers. Just me. Why did you do that when you hated me?” “I still cared,” she replies with an indignant huff. “I can have issues with someone and still want to show that I care.” I frown, my eyes searching her face for more because it feels like there must be more to it than that. She was married at the time. We weren’t speaking. It had been years since her home reno disaster. I could see her showing up for Max and her best friend . . . but not me. Not after everything we’d been through.” AND YETTTT <333

This book follows Calder who is looking for a no-strings date to his brother's tropical wedding in Mexico. He ends up sharing a room with his sister-in-law's fiery best friend and his enemy Dakota. They embark in an "enemies with benefits" relationship to help Dakota move on after her divorce and embrace her sexuality.

This is the second book in an interconnected series following 3 brothers and their love stories. I did enjoy Calder as an MMC, he is very protective of Dakota. He has some very cringy one-liners that were hard to look past. Dakota is struggling to accept her body after her divorce. I appreciate that all of the FMCs are regular sized or plus-sized bodies. I would have loved for her body type to not be the main part of the story, it felt to me at times she was over-sexualized to prove that body type is sexy. I did enjoy their banter and I liked the progression of their relationship.

I don't think I am the intended audience for this series, I have seen a lot of positive reviews these stories are just not for me. I would check content warnings but if you enjoy spicy books about grumpy men with an interconnected series, this may be for you!

2.5⭐️

This was such a great one! After reading the first one in this series, I was so excited to see this one come to life and it didn’t disappoint in meeting all the expectations.

This is the second book in the Mountain Men Matchmaker series. Although it can be enjoyed on its own, I strongly recommend reading the first book, as it is both highly entertaining and provides helpful context for this installment. The story incorporates several popular romance tropes, including a fiery enemies-to-lovers relationship, a friends-with-benefits storyline, and a rugged, tattooed lumberjack. What distinguishes this novel is Amy's skillful balance of humor and emotional depth, creating well-developed, relatable characters who feel genuine and compelling. If you enjoy romances that combine humor, spice, and heartfelt emotion, this book is an absolute must-read!

This book is pure black cat energy wrapped in banter, beachside tension, and mountain-man vulnerability. The chemistry? Off the charts. The insults? Practically foreplay. What starts as a destination-wedding disaster turns into a steamy, surprisingly sweet journey from enemies to lovers with plenty of wit, heart, and heat along the way.

Bonus points for a proud cat dad who catches feelings like a rom-com hero in flannel.

This was my first Amy Daws book but it won’t be my last! Thank you Harlequin Trade Publishing for the ARC!

The Seven Year Itch is a romcom and part of a standalone series about three rugged mountain brothers. As expected from Amy Daws, this book was a fun read. I loved all the characters—not only Calder, the MMC, and Dakota, the FMC—but also the entire family.

The matchmaking niece totally stole my heart; she’s the one behind all her uncles’ happily ever afters.

Calder is a cat daddy, and just for that, he might be my favorite brother. This enemies-taking-advantage-of-a-benefits-only-arrangement story really has its heart in how both characters need to find their own true value from within. The story kept me hooked, and it has the satisfying ending we all want.

This book is for you if you like:
– Enemies with benefits
– Small-town romance
– Rugged mountain men
– Found family vibes
– A slow-build romance with heart

Thank you to HarperCollins and the author for this ARC.
