Omg!! Dakota and Calder man! Are going to be living rent free in my head for while. My favorite enemies to lovers !!!! Amy Daws I loved it ! Thank you Harper Collins for allowing me to read this on NetGalley !!!

I was kindly provided with the arc of this book by NetGalley and the editors in exchange of an honest review, thank you ✨
5⭐️
Oh my lord, I LOVED this book so much!! I loved the first one, and when I saw this one I knew I had to get it and read it and oh boy how I enjoyed Dakota and Calder’a story, they put real enemies in this enemies to lovers story, and I was a sucker for it!!! The tension, the real enemies energy, the funny moments, and the spicy moments? Chef’s kiss 😮💨🛐
But also I enjoyed how Dakota was trying to find herself again, to re build her confidence after a ver bad marriage and how Calder was there for her every step of the way, and oh god I wanted to punch them because they were soooooo in love but they didn’t even know it!!! I really loved their story, I love reading Everly again and of course she’s THE mastermind 🙂↔️ I loved reading Wyatt, Trista and now Stevie and all of the Fletcher family again ✨
I literally can’t wait to read Luke’s story, like I need his book yesterday!!!

Whoop whoop. Another Fletcher mountain man is on the loose...unharnessed and ready to snag the woman of his... nightmares?
This story is laugh out loud class!
I know what to expect from an Amy Daws book but Seven Year Itch had me guffawing out loud at the most inopportune times.
I loved Caleb but adored Dakota. I was desperate to hear their 'back story and I wasn't disappointed.
I can't wait for the final Mountain Men Matchmaker novel, Honeymoon Phase, if Nine Month Contract and Seven Year Itch is the yardstick by which it will be measured!

3.5/5
This was such a fun read! It was a hilariously funny enemies to lovers RomCom. The banter was great, and I loved the found family. This book made me laugh out loud at times, but there was also plenty of emotion and character growth. I really want to read about the other brothers now!
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for access to this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I thought about giving this a 3 star but I considered DNFing so many times that I just couldn’t lie like that!!!!!
I really really wish I enjoyed this. I love a good hate to love, grumpy mountain man, forced proximity vibe. This was not it.
Genuinely, from the bottom of my heart, I hated the MMC. He was literally just a man child who threw tantrums and talked about women in gross ways, and referred to his pet cat as a pussy REPEATEDLY. I’m all for some crude humor (I love Meghan Quinn and Tessa Bailey for crying out loud!!) but at least their men are respectful toward women. The MMC was borderline disrespectful to women INCLUDING the FMC throughout the entire book.
The only reason I kept going was be there would be snippets where I thought maybe we are about to turn a corner. Turns out I was walking in a circle.
I should’ve known when the (not ironically) wise words this man tattooed on him in memory of his late father were “I’m not here for a long time I’m here for a good time”. And at the only mention of therapy he said that he reads self help books and it’s basically the same and that was just a completely acceptable answer.
The messaging about confidence and how our confidence as women comes from ourselves and not from outside validation was done really well. That’s really the only good thing I can think to say about this mess 😂
Thank you to Canary Street Press for an eARC through netgalley! All opinions are my own

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This book is everything I love about this series, laugh-out-loud funny, ridiculously steamy, and so damn swoony. I loved Nine Month Contract, but this one might just be my favorite!
It’s got all the yummy stuff: enemies to lovers, a tropical wedding gone wrong, forced proximity (hello, shared palapa 👀), meddling family drama, and a gruff, grumbly mountain man who’s secretly a total softie. Oh, and let’s not forget the cat who 100% steals every scene. 🐾
The banter between Dakota and Calder, our tattooed Cat Daddy had me cracking up one minute and blushing the next. And when the emotions start hitting? Whew 🤭 🥵Watching them go from hating each other to enemies with benefits, then something real and vulnerable was perfection!
If you’re into small-town romance with big laughs, scorching chemistry, and unforgettable characters, this whole series is a must-read. Seven Year Itch is a messy, spicy, slow-burn dream and I didn’t want it to end! 💕🔥

Thanks to NetGalley, Harlequin Trade Publishing, and Canary Street Press for providing an eARC of Seven Year Itch in exchange for this honest review!
Tropes
• Whiniest MMC ever
• No such thing as healthy communication (outside of the bedroom)
• Sex Bucket List (kink exploration)
• "Enemies" with Benefits
• Recently divorced FMC
• Family that MUST stick their nose in everyone's business
This book was not my cup of tea. For a romance, there was nothing romantic in it. I think we really need to sit down and hash out what is romance and what is erotica. Because THIS, this isn't romance. If the plot is just to have sex, that's not romance. Don't call it romance!!!
Dakota recently divorced her husband after his continued disrespect. Calder runs into her at a sex club where she is trying to regain her confidence. For the amount of sex club and kink exploration that is in this book, you would think it would be mentioned in the blurb... Besides that, I just had lots of issues with the actual writing decisions made. If you don't want to read a long rant, you can stop here!!
There were multiple instances of typos / poor editing I noticed with the ARC, so hopefully those were caught prior to printing. 🤞
Crimes Committed:
1. Mom licking her lips at her son (ew)
2. Immediately talking about past partners after agreeing not to talk about them
3. "I guess you could call it enemies to lovers" wrong ♡ you aren't holding a sword to his throat babe, you aren't enemies
4. "I promise I can be a good apple slut"
5. Meeting a girl at a sex club, making a sex bucket list that includes going back to the sex club together, then being pissed that she wants to go to the sex club
6. "Dakota, please calm down"
7. Chapter titles in general, but especially "Two Favorite Pussies" in regards to 1 cat and 1 human woman
Alright, time for the ACTUAL rant:
Thank GOD for their mom calling them out for acting like children, because I could not tell at first if it was intention how freaking childish Calder was being.
We are given an explicit itinerary for the trip, and yet the timeline of things does not actually line up?? They do jet skis / food tour the same day as the rehearsal dinner even though those are supposed to be different days... Don't give me an explicit day-to-day schedule if you aren't even going to stick to it.
If you are going to include a sex dungeon or BDSM stuff in your writing: DO 👏 YOUR 👏 RESEARCH 👏
Having a supposedly experienced Dom at the newbie night very clearly not having properly negotiated boundaries, berating someone for using their safeword and wanting out of a scene?? And no DM comes to help?????? And no one bats an eye?????? Yall do not know how BDSM communities work 😭
Calder nonconsensually man-handling Dakota at said event??? And I'm supposed to be rooting for him???? His desire to have a "nice little submissive plus-one" to the wedding is really grating too considering he explicitly says he is not into BDSM, which just means he wants a sex doll instead of an actual human being... Which is extremely degrading.
Immediately harassing the birds at this resort? Thumbs down. "If she doesn't feel safe sleeping next to me" yeah jackass maybe because you manhandled her, yelled at her, and are generally a dick to her??? I wouldn't want to be stuck in the same room as you either.
"Is it sadism to be attracted to someone who makes you utterly miserable?" Hi Calder, that's actually masochism!! "No wonder you couldn't be a sub" Hey you actually don't know anything about her to make that kind of sweeping statement?

I love a good enemies to lovers story and this one was just that and the spice level was perfect. I was lucky to receive this from Net galley and loved it from start to finish. Amy’s writing is the best and she can get you hook, line and sinker if you love the romance and enemies to lovers.

Seven Year Itch is the second installment in Amy Daws' Mountain Men Matchmaker series, and while it can be read as a standalone, I highly recommend diving into the first book beforehand. Not only will you avoid spoilers for book one, but you'll also get to experience a genuinely hilarious read that sets the stage perfectly.
This book was an absolute blast! It felt like a delightful blend of Meghan Quinn's Bridesmaid for Hire (sharing some similar tropes and a wedding setting) and Sara Cate's The Salacious Players Club. If you're a fan of enemies-to-lovers dynamics and friends-with-benefits romances, you're in for a treat—especially if a tatted lumberjack sounds like your kind of hero!
Amy Daws masterfully weaves humor throughout the story, but she doesn't shy away from infusing her characters with genuine, raw emotions. This balance makes them feel incredibly well-rounded, whole, and realistic, pulling you deeper into their journey.

Thank you NetGalley for this eARC. After reading Nine Month Contract by Amy Daws, I was officially hooked on these mountain brothers. Daws does it again in Seven Year Itch… an enemies to lovers… enemies with benefits contemporary romance that has all the tension and banter a girl could want. Calder is obsessed with his cat which is adorable and Dakota is working to be strong and independent. I also love how Calder is ready to help Dakota through her sexual awakening… bring on the spice!! While Nine Month Contract is still my number one Amy Daws books, I can’t wait to read Luke and Max’s stories. Highly recommend it!

It was entertaining, but the “enemies” vibe was cranked up so high it got cringy. Calder and Dakota were both too stubborn to function, but I did enjoy watching Dakota find her confidence and Calder show some unexpected sweetness.

Along the same lines as her first book - spicy romance featuring another of the Fletcher brothers. Enjoyed this one though it felt a bit much at times. Will I still read the next one? Probably so!

🐈⬛⛰️True enemies to lovers on a mountain with a cat⛰️🐈⬛
I was very excited to receive this ARC of seven year itch by Amy Dawes. I had recently picked up the first book in the series mostly because the cover was adorable and I loved the goats on the sprayed edges. Maybe not the best reason to choose a book but also totally valid. I enjoyed both books in the series and I’m excited for the third to come out.
This book was a true enemies to lovers. The main characters often told each other just how much they hated each other, but it was clear from the beginning that they were as attracted to each other as they were annoyed by each other. It was much spicier than the first book, which makes sense considering the MMC was Calder.
The main characters had a lot of issues that they needed to sort out both together and individually. I found their romance progressed believably. I really enjoyed the meddling of their family members and friends who you will recognize from the first book.
The MMC is also an adorable cat daddy which we love.
I will warn readers that both Calder and Dakota can be really really mean when they’re upset. They both say some things that I had a hard time forgiving them for, but it makes sense with their characters and their story, and they turned it around by the end.
This book comes out on June 17 and is published by Harlequin Trade Publishing. (Thanks for the ARC guys!)

Thank you to Netgalley and Canary Street Press for the advanced reader's copy of Seven Year Itch by Amy Daws.
This is the second novel in the Mountain Men series and it did not disappoint. Though each novel stands alone from a story perspective, I would recommend reading them in sequential order so you get the back story of another couple in this book.
The novel is an enemies to lovers. It is full of laugh out loud witty banter with palpable tension between the characters. It definitely kept me engaged. I found Dakota's journey toward self-confidence post divorce added depth to her character, making her more than just a romantic interest.
If you love rom coms with a small-town setting, a little bit of spice and characters going through some emotional growth I think you'll enjoy this book.

I fell in love with cat daddy Calder in Trista and Wyatt's story, and was beyond excited for his and Dakota's story. This did not disappoint in the least! Seven Year Itch was just as hilarious and spicy as I expected, and I loved every minute of it. I think I love this more than I loved Nine Month Contract.

Amy Daws never misses!! I know when I open one of her books I’m in for an entertaining romance that will have me kicking my feet and laughing my bottom off. And Seven Year Itch was top tier!!
Thank you to HarperCollins and NetGalley for my advanced copy of this book.
Calder Fletcher is watching his brothers fall in love and he’s not real happy about it. He loves his life on the mountain and doesn’t want any kind of relationship. Especially with Dakota Schaefer. These two have been at each other’s throats for years. But one night at a s*x club changes their relationship. And wheewwww, what an amazing ride we take.
Everly, Calder’s niece, is back at it with her matchmaking skills and watching Calder fall was so much fun. I love this family. I love these characters. Five fun stars for Seven Year Itch!
Highly recommended.

Enemies to lovers. Calder and Dakota had a one night stand, parted and now she's come to him for help after her divorce. This takes an odd turn (for me at least) into sex clubs which I suspect will turn off some readers. There are positives such as Calder's affection for his cat but on the whole it just didn't engage me the way I'd hoped. Thanks to netgalley for the ARC. Over to others.

I was lucky enough to get an ARC from Netgalley. I have been looking forward to this sequel for a year! It lived up to the hype and I liked it so much, just like the first. The characters were well rounded, the story was believable and fun to see it all unfold. Can’t wait to read what’s next! Please send us Luke’s story!

Thank you Net Galley for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I was super excited when I received this ARC. I had read the first book in this series and saw glimpses of Calder and Dakota. I loved Calder in the first book and was my favorite brother of the three. I love a good enemies to lovers trope. Sadly, I was a bit let down….
We have Calder. He is looking for a date for his brother’s wedding. With no luck on the dating apps, courtesy of Everly, he gets stuck with Dakota. Dakota is his sister in law’s best friend. These two have some history and dislike each other for something that happened 7 years ago. On this trip to Mexico, things get steamy. Not everything that happens in Mexico, stays in Mexico.
I was looking forward to this book! Sadly, I felt like there wasn’t enough tension. They hook up too early. I also found that some things were said that were too harsh. Calder came off as extremely childish and Dakota too insecure. I get that her insecurities were a big part of the book but I wish she would figure out sooner how incredible she is. The banter was chief's kiss! I found myself laughing out loud a couple of times. All in all, a good time. I would recommend this book for a fun read.
Thank you once again to Net Galley for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

If you’re a fan of enemies to lovers, you’ll absolutely love Seven Year Itch. It’s a light and easy read. It’s the second in a series but I hadn’t read the first and I felt like I wasn’t missing out. I like the little world and community where the book takes place.
I’ve been going back and forth on my rating for this book and I think it’s a solid 3.5 stars. It didn’t leave a lasting impression on me, but I did like it. It ultimately felt a little forgettable. The ending/third act conflict felt a little too underdeveloped for me. I wondered if the main characters should get together or if their relationship should’ve been strictly physical.
I’d be open to reading more by this author.
Thanks to NetGalley and Harlequin Trade Publishing for the ARC.
