Amy Daws has done it again. The Fletcher bros were a favorite read of mine with the Nine Month Contract. Our sexy mountain brother is Calder (cat daddy) and hes single and ready to mingle. One of my favorite things about this book is how i was giggling like a school girl for the whole book, the banter is top notch and the fact that they start off hating each other is classic, one of my favorite tropes. This book has me simping for small town, burly mountain men who act all tough but are big ol softies. The spice was spicying and the story is so cute and cozy, i cant wait to do the audible of this. 5/5 for me. Thank yoy to NetGalley for allowing me to arc this book, it was a must read for me this year.
posted on goodreads but am unable to paste link

Thank you NetGalley and Harlequin Trade Publishing for the ARC!
This book was incredibly sweet. I loved the relationship between Dakota and Calder. Seeing hints of their relationship throughout the years was an interesting dynamic. This book is the second in the Mountain Man Series, but can be read as a stand-alone!
This is a perfect book for anyone just wanting a light-hearted romance. There's a good chunk of spice, too! I am excited to do a re-read when it comes out next month!

Thank you so much to Harlequin Audio and Harlequin Trade Publishing for the eARC and ALC of Seven Year Itch via NetGalley! These are my honest thoughts.
THIS WAS *JUST AS FUN* as Nine Year Contract. You know what I love about Amy Daws? She writes funny (sometimes hilarious) scenes mixed into absolutely real and heartbreaking life. This story had so much of that! Calder is the mountain man in this book, and he's THEE CAT DADDY. Dakota is someone who has been in Calder's life for over seven years, a recent divorcee with a douche canoe for an ex-husband. These two... and Calder's meddling matchmaking family... end up on quite the adventure for (spoiler alert) book 1's characters' wedding in Mexico!
Teddy Hamilton and Erin Mallon were FANTASTIC on audio. I was cackling, I was *ahem* inspired... I ate this audiobook RIGHT UP.
Read if you love:
- Tattooed mountain men
- Cat Daddy MMC x Black Cat FMC
- Enemies to lovers
- Forced proximity
- Vacation rom-com
- Enemies with benefits
- Discovery + a bucket list *iykyk*
- Love after divorce
- Small business owners
- Colorado
- Meddling, matchmaking family members
Solid. Really fun. I liked book one more, but I think that was a me thing :)

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the arc! #SevenYearItch #NetGalley
I love these fast reads. I wouldn't say that I really felt like it was a true enemies to lovers it was more like annoyances to lovers for me! The banter between the main characters is witty and funny... I liked the dual point of views it's one of my favorite ways to read. Lots of spice but fun because some of it was in his point of view and some of it was in her point of view that was a little different and I enjoyed it... Not very pl ot heavy, didn't love the sex club stuff all that much, I like to relate to a story line and that was just not my "kink" 🤣🤣 IYKYK......
Choice of some spice scene wording will set off triggers for some.... I like the theme of reclaiming yourself after a trauma that felt authentic when I was in Dakota's head. I like that they both had their minor issues within themselves, it wasn't the case that one is perfect and one is annoyingly self sabotaging...... Overall a cute spicy story, I would read this author again!

Oh my gosh, I LOVED THIS BOOK. Calder is literally the man every single woman needs/wants/should have. It was perfect, spice was perfect, story line was perfect. This story follows newly divorcee, Dakota and her journey to find herself again after an emotionally abusive relationship and Calder Fletcher, Cat Daddy-Mountain Man, that is healing from his own hidden trauma and struggles. They help one another while hilariously arguing the entire way. I never knew how effective a PowerPoint could be after reading this!
Of course enemies to lovers is a favorited trope of romance readers, but this story had so much more. Dakota was a strong as hell FMC. The dynamic between her and Calder was such an awesome ride. I loved watching her gain her self worth and confidence, and helped guide her the entire way by building her up in the sweetest most honest way.
Also, can I rave on the mid size representation in this? So many books leave out us midsize girlies, we deserve some mention too! I'm recommending this to every one and anyone that needs a pick me up on self confidence and self worth. F the patriarchy.
Thank you soo much for the opportunity to arc read this! I'm looking forward to Luke's story!!. Long live Milkshake.

Seven Year Itch is a fantastic follow up to book 1 in the series! In this book Caulder and Dakota start off as enemies until they start hooking up. Dakota, recently divorced, wants more sexual experience and Caulder is in the right place at the right time. Their chemistry is super spicy and it isn't long before they start catching feelings. I thoroughly enjoyed the squabbling, banter, family interactions and sexy times. Holy heck did Amy bring the spice with this one! It may be her spiciest one yet! It's also worth mentioning that Caulder is a cat daddy!
Teddy Hamilton and Erin Mallon are back to narrate in duet and slay as always! Teddy says a line in chapter 22 that had me needing a cold shower. Job well done!
Thank you Amy Daws and NetGalley for the advanced copy. All thoughts are my own.

Spicy, fun romp, with great mid-size rep.
I do love these mountain men - Nine Month Contract was a silly good time and this was no different.
What’s to love…
- spectacular mid-size rep, it felt real, relatable and it was wonderful to see her journey
- Spice was fabulous.
- A+ tension
- 10/10 banter
- cat-dad + furniture building mountain man MMC
- playboy turned total simp for the FMC
- divorced mid-30s FMC
What’s not to love…
- these are fun & sexy, but if you’re looking for a ton of emotional depth this probably isn’t the right read for you.
Audio Narration: Absolutely loved the male narrator he was great. The female narrator was not it, the extension at the end of every sentence made this a difficult listen for me. I also felt her voices for other characters were entirely too similar to her own and it was had to determine who was who, at times. This is one I would recommend reading via print. I think the female narrator really detracts from the reading experience.

Thank you NetGalley for this ARC.
I enjoyed the first book of this series and looked forward to this one. I unfortunately DNFed this one at 30%. I was expecting a Small Town romance, but the club at the very beginning threw me a little. I wasn’t expecting that to be part of the story.
I love the Enemies to Lovers trope, but he seemed a little too possessive of her in the club too fast. I also couldn’t connect with either of the characters and just found myself getting bored with the story.

Thank you for this ARC!! I really really enjoyed Nine Month Contract and really expected to love this just as much. However, I just did not connect to the characters as much. I still had a lot of fun reading this and laughed out loud many times. This was wonderfully written and a great book, just not the right book for me :)

Amy Daws has done it again!! Seven Year Itch was such a great read full of banter, family love, a good plot, and plenty of spice! I loved everything this book had to offer!

she’s done it again!!
this was so fun and hot and such a god time!!!
the enemies to lovers were enemies to lovers-ing!! plus i love seeing my cuties trista and wyatt and seeing them be happy :))
excited for luke’s book!

LOVED this story. I could not get enough of the banter, the sexy-ness, the family love, of MILKSHAKE. This had everything I wanted to read! I will read everything I can by Amy now. Thanks for the early read!!

So very thankful for this arc. I had no idea what I was getting into when I chose it. I knew that teddy Hamilton narrated the audio for the one before so I have it on hold with my library. I literally picked this one for the cover, but man I was so wrong about what I was getting into. I had no idea the amount of angst and spice this would have. I definitely wasn’t ready for it. I loved the enemies with benefits turned real life lovers. Also, calver and his cat daddy ways. The book had so many tropes in it, forced proximity, enemies to lovers, one bed. The growth that Dakota made within herself after the twat of an ex husband completely ruin her. I was here for her win at finding herself again. All I know is that damn everly, when they get to her it’s gonna be game on!!

amy daws can write no bad book! simple as that! absolutely hands down loved this book, the characters, the plot & honestly everything!!

I liked this one and I didn't. Dakota was fabulous as the FMC. I love small town, enemies to lovers, forced proximity. The story moved quickly and was engaging.
What I didn't enjoy was Caldor. I am not a fan of a reformed playboy. It just doesn't really get me.
Amy Daws did an excellent job writing this one though!

I just want to start my review by saying that I don’t think I was the intended target audience for this book.
With that being said, I’m not implying it was a good book, it was. It’s just that I was expecting something different.
I went in expecting a fluffy romance with a side of spice, but I think I would describe this book as erotica as there was a more in depth description to the different practices and clubs.
I do want, however, to mention some of the things I really liked:
* The relationship and dynamic between Calder’s family. Their interactions were wholesome and I really enjoyed them.
* Dakota. That’s it. I just loved her. I think what I loved most about her is that she knew what she wanted and asked for it. Even when she didn’t know what she wanted she was willing to give it a try, but she was very clear when there was something she wasn’t comfortable with.
* The body positivity message. It’s common to have books where we have a FMC who’s skinny and happy or a plus size FMC happy and thriving. But what I liked in this story is that Dakota goes from being a “small size” to a somewhat “bigger” size. It’s definitely disconcerting when this happens as you find yourself doubting everything about yourself. So it was really nice to see Dakota’s journey with accepting and loving her body despite what she used to look like before
Now some of the things I personally did not enjoy so much from this book:
* Calder’s behavior. I feel like I was reading the point of view of some college frat boy. Honestly, he behaved like a horny teenager with no maturity. I doubt a 30 year old would be talking and behaving the way Calder did.
* The amount of time the word “p*ssy” is mentioned even when just referring to a cat. It wasn’t seductive or funny, it was just uncomfortable and unnecessary.
* This is a very personal take, but I was just not into the whole s*x club and s*xual practices. I mean they were talking about voyeurism, dom/sub, etc. which is something I don’t particularly enjoy reading.
I would recommend this book to those who are more comfortable with erotica topics and also want a fun and romantic story.

Book 2 in The Mountain Men Matchmaker series, “Seven Year Itch” was so fun and so hot! It can be read as a standalone though I recommend reading Nine Month Contract first. I was so excited to read
Calder’s story as he was a fave from Book 1.
Calder is a gorgeous bearded, tattooed, cat loving mountain man that thoroughly enjoys his no-strings attached lifestyle. But with his brother Wyatt’s wedding approaching, he needs someone to bring around his family. Enter his niece Everly updating his dating app descriptions to attract a different kind of woman. She has a plan all along, to set her uncle up with Dakota, a family friend. But Calder and Dakota loathe each other….or do they?
***Enemies to lovers
***Dual POV
***Steam steam steam
***Only one room
***Restart after divorce
The overall message about body positivity, feeling desirable and wanted again after a bad breakup - LOVE. This was so great - highly recommend!
And oh, I love a good Dedication page ❤️
Thank you to Harlequin Trade Publishing, Harper Collins Publishers, and Netgalley for the ARC of this novel; all opinions are my own.

Rating - 4 stars
Spice - 2 peppers
This was so so so cute!! I adored the plot and the characters were so fun! It’s such an easy read and the audio was fantastic as I followed along!

I read and enjoyed the first book in this series (The 9 month contract) so I was really excited to get my hands on an early copy of this second one!! Calder (and Milkshake!) are back!!!
Calder’s got a reputation as a playboy and Dakota, fresh off a divorce, has a grudge against him for something in their past. So obviously, the universe throws them together as roommates at a destination wedding. Cue the forced proximity, banter, and tension.
Watching these two go from enemies to something more was so entertaining. The banter was sharp, the chemistry was great, and I genuinely laughed out loud more than once. I also really appreciated how much of cast from the previous book was around in this one!
Oh….and this book is spicy!
I gave this one 4 stars. It was fun, fast-paced, and exactly the kind of book you reach for when you need a good time and a smile.
Thanks to NetGalley, HarperCollins, and Amy Daws for the ARC and the chance to honestly review this book.

I’ve been waiting to read The Seven Year Itch by Amy Daws, the next book in the Mountain Men Matchmaker series. I love her books, especially this series and the Wait With Me series, which share many characters. I loved Calder and Dakota’s story. This is a steamy enemies-to-lovers, slow burn, forced proximity, only one bed romance. The entire Fletcher family is back and rooting for Dakota and Calder, which was so fun to read.
Dakota and Calder met through his brother Max, and her friend Cozy, who are married. Calder completed a home renovation for Dakota seven years prior to the book that was fraught with bickering and conflict. Since then, the two seemingly hate each other. They find themselves forced to room together at Wyatt and Trista’s romantic destination wedding in Mexico, and sparks fly. Oh, and did I mention that they run into each other at a sex club in the beginning of the story, and Calder feels strangely protective of her, which shocks them both. They connect at the wedding, and the chemistry is off the charts.
When they return to their homes in Colorado, they are initially uncertain but decide to go through a checklist of activities to boost Dakota’s confidence in the bedroom. Of course, this totally backfires and they end up falling in love. The tension and chemistry between these enemies-to-lovers is off the charts. I literally couldn’t put this book down! Dakota is plagued by insecurity after her divorce, and honestly, her inner thoughts and self-doubt felt a bit excessive. Calder is obviously blown away by everything about her, and she is constantly worrying that he wants to end things between them.
As the book winds down, things between Dakota and Calder blow up, and the Fletcher family helps Calder stage an intervention. The family involvement in the books in this series is filled with funny banter and lots of love and support for each other. I loved the ending and the epilogue, and wish we had seen more of Dakota and Calder after the family intervention.
This book lived up to my expectations! Another Amy Daws hit, full of tension, hilarious banter, hot mountain men, and off-the-charts steam and chemistry. I truly adore this series and the Fletcher family. It was great to see the long-time conflict between Dakota and Calder end in an intense and loving connection between them. I can’t wait for Luke’s book!
Thank you to Amy Daws, Canary Street Press, and NetGalley for this advance reader’s copy in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.
