Amy Daws writes the kind of books that you may be embarrassed for liking so much. They are fluffy and probably shouldn't be as good as they are. She writes realistic, flawed characters in somewhat contrived situations. They are more than your typical romance. This is a follow-up to Nine Month Contract. Both are stand alones, along with Last on the List, that involve the Fletcher Brothers. Each deliver exactly what they promise: spice, hot and emotional main male characters, funny banter, and fluffy escapism.

Both characters first showed up in Last on the List. It was cool to see how they each progressed since then. I also love that the FMC was a mid sized woman (Daws has many curvy FMCs of varrying sizes-yay). Enemies to lovers can be a tricky trope but this was done well. This book is great for fans of the Lila Sage Rebel Blue Ranch series. It was enjoyable, but be prepared for the spice. Thanks to Net Galley and Canary Street Press for this eARC in exchange for my honest review.

I thought this book was great. The banter was great and I had an awesome time reading it. I also enjoyed that the entire story didn't take place while they were in paradise.. because it's a lot easier to fall in love when you're surrounded by the sea, hospitable all inclusive at a resort, and beautiful weather. So I really appreciated that the story line took us back to their real lives where they truly fell for one another. I will definitely be adding this to my next order for the shop! Thanks so much for the opportunity to read Seven Year Itch.

This book is a great enemies to lovers’ book! I read the first book in this series, and I absolutely fell in love with the characters. This book features a gorgeous s*x positive mountain man who has a huge soft spot for his cat. Need I say more?

Calder and Dakota stressed me out at some points, their communication was extremely frustrating at times. But when they finally figure their stuff out, it’s amazing. I absolutely loved this book and I can’t wait for the next one!

Man, I do love a good story about (re)awakening and finding yourself again!! Mix in a mountain man, fuzzy cat, and a whole cast of hilarious side characters and I’m even more here for it. Well done !!

The beginning of the book I was laughing so hard at calders tinder being hacked. If you are a fan of enemies to lovers, forced proximity, small town romance and spicy content. This book is definitely one that you should pick up. I didn’t read the first book but this can definitely be read as a standalone.

The writing is great, the spice is great and a good read.

I can't quit these Fletcher men. Where Wyatt was a gumpy caveman with an emphasis on "mine." Now here is brat himbo with a heart of gold Calder who makes you purr with a well placed "good girl." I might not survive Luke's story next. But! that is getting ahead of things.

The sexual chemisty between Calder and Dakota was so hot. Its that high tension only a fine tuned hate to love dynamic can illicit. They Capitol F FIGHT to flirt. It gets so mean at times I was questioning if Calder was a red or green flag. And Dakota isn't an innocent bystander. She zinged Calder right back with cutting words. And then the collided. Like super magnets. Unavoidable. And the sparks flew.

I was less invested in them as a couple emotionally. And let's be honest, Calder didn't have much competition when Dakota's ex was a skidmark. He was put in place to worship Dakota like she deserves and thats all I needed.

Happy to report there were far less red flag moments in general within the story as I had in Nine Month Contract. Thoough there are still some blurred lines of "is that appropriate to say to an 8 year old." I have soap box thoughts on this but maybe y'all can connect the dots yourself okay.

Oh! Also! Of course the ghost of Robyn is back. I laughed so hard. She lives rent free in their heads doesn't she? You can't make me believe she's a villain. And the Fletcher Brothers sure ain't no victims. Their daddy should have left them with "Play stupid games, win stupid prizes." The three of them were happy to be use her until, what, she was thenone actually using them. Mountain Man, please. Take some responsibility for how you were willing to play the game.

Overall, yea SEVEN YEAR ITCH is an enjoyable read. Calder and Dakota fight to flirt and they bang their way to feelings. You can't go wrong with a fun uncomplicated read.

Thank you Netgalley & Harlequin Trade Publishing | Canary Street Press for this advance copy in exchange for my honest review.

4.5 stars :)

When I tell you that Amy Daws has done it again.... she has done it again!!! The first book I ever read of hers was Nine Month Contract, and I completely devoured that book. So when I found out we were going back on the Mountain I knew I had to get my hands on it!! Seven Year Itch was of course laugh out loud, I don't know how Amy gets the humor so well. Also who doesn't love a grumpy (secretly softy) Cat daddy? The fact that Calder loves Milkshake so much made my heart swoon. I will like to point out that listening to audiobooks does count as reading... I will die on that hill. Calder and Dakotas banter was *chefs kiss*. She hates him, and he doesn't really hate her, But she thinks he hates her. I Love the family even more in this book, I'm glad we got to see how everyone was doing. Ugh this book, Just go get it, whether on KU or a physical copy you will not be disappointed. I will be running to go grab when it comes out as well.

I absolutely loved Seven Year Itch! The enemies to lovers storyline was perfect, and I especially enjoyed how Amy brought in characters from book one to keep the world connected. I think my readers are going to fall in love with this one just like I did.

First of, thank you @htp_hive @htpbooks @htpbooks_audio for my eARC&ALC!

📖✨ 𝘔𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘢𝘪𝘯 𝘮𝘢𝘯 𝘳𝘰𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦𝘴, 𝘢𝘯𝘺𝘰𝘯𝘦? 🌲👀

This one started off a little rocky for me—maybe because I haven’t fully embraced my small town romance era yet. I’ve heard of cowboy romances, sure, but mountain men? That’s a first! 😂

Calder and Dakota are textbook enemies to lovers, which instantly made me curious. I knew we were heading toward a HEA (of course), but I was intrigued to see how their conflict would play out. That said, I didn’t feel completely immersed in the world the way I usually hope to with romance. I wasn’t swept away or emotionally hooked in the beginning, which made it feel like a slower start overall.

BUT—the story found its rhythm toward the end. It got cute, it got sweet, and it definitely gave me butterflies at certain moments. 🦋

What stood out to me most were the characters’ banter and inner monologues. Amy Herring knows how to write witty tension. Calder and Dakota had me smirking during their arguments and quietly rooting for them when their walls started to come down.

Also? The found family element was heartwarming. The Fletcher family feels like one of those chaotic but loving groups you kind of wish you could be part of. And Calder’s relationship with his cat, Milkshake?? Adorable. We love a grumpy man who’s secretly soft. 🐾

Overall, it didn’t quite blow me away—but it had charm, and I can see this being a hit for readers deep in their small town romance mood.

If you like:

🌲 Grumpy men
🌲 Enemies to lovers
🌲 Found family
🌲 Small town romance
🌲 Mountain men
🌲 S*x club shenanigans
🌲 One bed / forced proximity
🌲 Lots of 🌶️🌶️🌶️ (for me, okay? I’m not a seasoned 🌶️ reader LOL—this might be nothing for some!)

Then go ahead and check this book out! Just a heads-up: book 2 will reveal bits and pieces from book 1, so keep that in mind if you plan to continue the series.

Enemies to lovers,  small town romance, and Cat Daddy.... what more could you ask for.

Forever bachelor Calder is looking for a no strings attached plus one for his brothers destination wedding.

Newly divorced Dakota is jaded by love and ready to find herself.

They both end of an X rated club looking for two different things but end up finding each other.  With a history of hate between them, their love story is a true enemy to lovers.

I really liked a lot of this book, I found their banter to be really fun, and the deeper, more serious parts felt real. This is the second book in the Mountain Men Matchmaker series  but it can be read as a standalone without any confusion .

Thank you, Harlequin, for the ARC

Seven Year Itch Honest ARC Review:

4.5/5 ⭐️
Spice: 4/5

Okay, this is the second book I have read in this series and I ADORE it!! It’s romantic, funny and entertaining to read. It’s Perfect for fans of Tessa Bailey and Meghan Quinn. This is definitely one to add to your TBR!

With his dating profiles hacked in a hilarious way, the story begins. This is not so much a slow burn as it is exploratory and somewhat spicy as Dakota and Calder get to know one another better.

The banter is great. The side characters are entertaining. I really enjoyed seeing the story unfold with the meddling side characters. It was quirky and cute.

I loved being back on Fletcher Mountain! I enjoyed this story because all the side characters are stellar, Evelyn will be a force when she gets her own book, but I didn’t laugh like I did during Trista’s book… unless it involved Milkshake. Dakota was extremely antagonistic towards Coulder from the beginning, normally I like that but there were moments when I’d cringe at how extreme should would flip even though some of it was understandable after dealing with her Ex.

I received Seven Year Itch for free in exchange for my honest review. This was not the first Amy Daws book that I have read, nor will it be the last. I really did enjoy the book. It was not unexpected-- it was a hate to love story. Parts were funny. It was not my favorite of her books, but I did enjoy it. If you like Rom-Coms, you likely will as well.

It is hard to write enemies to lovers. You don't want a sudden switch. It needs to be a slow upcline from liking each to wanting to lay down your life. It is easier to write in fantasy as the stakes are more dramatic.

Calder is such a sweetheart and while it seems it;s Dakota story. I relate to Calder more

I can't wait to read the story before and after Seven Year Itch.

As always Amy provides us with a healthy ratio of heartfelt, serious topics and laugh out loud humor. Dakota is such a relatable character, learning to love herself again after her body has changed in her thirties. Calder is the perpetual bachelor, always goofing off and not taking life too seriously (or so everyone thinks)…
After a coincidental run in at an *adult* club, Dakota and Calder get pushed together in unexpected ways.

I am usually really picky about my enemies to lovers. Too often you don’t see the slow burning attraction that should really come with it. Too often it’s a flipped switch.

This was how an enemies to lovers should be done. It’s a teasing. It’s shared history. It’s something that’s supposed to stay purely physical.

At no point do Dakota and Calder ever deny their attraction. Well, maybe to each other at first, but to themselves, they openly admit that the other is attractive, but annoying. And even when they give into the attraction, it’s completely slated as sex only with an obvious end date.

And then you watch them both slowly fall for each other. You watch them figure out what they want and with who and how and rediscover parts of themselves.

Honestly, Calder’s self discovery in this book I think was more monumentous than Dakota’s and it was supposed to be her reawakening.

And we still saw all the people we love in this book. Wyatt and Trisha got married, Max and Cozy and Everly were still present, we saw hints of Luke and his story. The author integrates the family so well into her stories.

I can’t wait for the third installment of this book.

Amy Daws absolutely kills it again with the Seven Year Itch. Not only are book physical books athestically pleasing but they the story within the cover is absolutely addicting!

Seven Year Itch by Amy Daws was an interesting read. This was an enemies to lovers with a lot of spice. I was looking forward to reading this story since I loved the authors other book in this series, but this well fell a little short for me. I like this author’s writing and will definitely read the next book in series. Thanks to Netgalley for this arc.

okay... the writing is really immature and the way they talk was not for me. the characters aren't very developed and it sucks because i was looking forward to this book since i read the first one. i dnfed at 15% and am a bit dissapointed. also the sex club stuff really wasn't for me and it kind of threw me off, it really seemed to come out of nowhere.
