Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for the opportunity to read this arc.

I think my biggest mistake was not realizing that this was a book in a series…so that was my mistake. Overall I did enjoy the story and the spice but missed that background on characters.

“What happens in Mexico stays in Mexico…” or does it?! Another banging book from the amazing Amy Daws! These mountain men always deliver all the banter, laughs and SPICE!
Everly is back to playing matchmaker now for her Uncle Calder!
Wyatt and Trista are getting married in Mexico and Calder is looking to bring a date. He ends up coming alone and in true Everly fashion she decides to set Calder and Dakota (Cozy’s best friend) up with having to share a room! Let’s say things get interesting! They have a past that wasn’t pleasant but there is no denying their attraction!
The spice was spicingggg! Loved this book! I can’t wait to read the next book in this series! I just love these characters so much! Thank you for allowing me to receive this arc!

Thank you to Netgalley and the Canary Street Press for the arc of this book. Seven Year Itch is the second book in the Mountain Men Matchmaker series. I really enjoyed the first book in this series and had high hopes for the second. The second did not disappoint. This book takes us back to Fletcher mountain and tells the story of Wyatt's brother Calder and Cozy's best friend Dakota. This book also gives us more of Wyatt and Christa's story with their destination wedding. This book is spicier than the first book and I also thought this book had more humor. I cannot wait for the next book in this series.

Amazing!!! I needed this book! I’ve been a reading slump and Amy Daws pulled me out! Calder and Dakota were perfect! Their banter, growth and nicknames were my absolute fav!! Definitely up there with Last on the List for me! 10/10 recommend!

I went into this without any background (on characters or setting), and I think that was my first mistake. I didn’t realize it was an interconnected standalone—the third in the series, at that!

Was it cheesy? Yes. But did I still enjoy the spice? Absolutely! Was like 3.5-4/5 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

this was a funny good time, when I needed it. a perfect follow up from nine month contract; I loved getting a deeper dive into Calder's character and I think him and Dakota were well matched and this was a true enemies to lovers in a contemporary romance. This is definitely a read that you go into just looking for a silly, goofy, good time.

These Fletcher brothers are so fun to read! This book is the second in the series. Their niece (Everly) is a matchmaker mastermind! Dakota is the fmc and Calder is the mmc. Seven years ago they had a business relationship that made them basically hate each other. But Calder is a known playboy and Dakota thinks he’ll be perfect to help her fix her body image issues caused by her ex-husband. What they don’t expect is to actually have real feelings for each other 🩷 This was fast paced and fun to read!

An enemies-to-lovers with benefits that puts the kink in another Amy Daws romcom. Dakota is a newly divorced woman looking to explore her sexual side. Her divorce has left her with a lot of insecurities and she hopes to excise them. When visiting a sex club for the first time she finds herself face-to-face with the last man she wants to see again Calder Fletcher.

Calder is hoping to continue his casual sexual lifestyle with a quick trip to a sex club that he's a member of. Unfortunately he finds himself having to help the bane of his existence and the best friend of his eldest brother's wife Dakota. While they have an antagonistic history, they then find themselves sharing a room on a family trip to Mexico. Soon the one room trope leads to an arrangement of mutual sexual exploration to tick items off of Dakota's sex bucket list. However neither expects to catch feelings for the other.

I think this is probably my second favorite book of Amy Daws. While Wait with me will always hold that top spot, Dakota and Calder bring the heat in this one. If they aren't lighting a fire between the sheets, they're sparking it as they constantly butt heads. The tension is just another fuel to this example of the thin line between love and hate.

This was not my cup of tea at all. I didn’t like either of the main characters and I thought the MMC was toxic at best, women hating at worst. I just don’t even have much to say about this one it was just really not great.

This was such a good book. I loved the story and the writing so much. The characters were great and the story flowed smoothly. Will definitely read more books by this author in the future.

Calder is trying to find a date to his brother's destination wedding. Things don't go his way and he gets stuck sharing a room with friendenemy Dakota. Dakota is best friends with Calder's sister in law. Dakota is trying to move on from a rough divorce. Dakota and calder have both been put through the ringer from their exes. Slowly over time Dakota and calder let down their guards a little bit with each other. Seven year itch was a great additon to the series. The book can be read as a standalone but it does help to read any if not all of the previous books in the series.

✨✨4.25✨✨
When I started this book I was not sure what to expect it seemed like your typical enemies to lovers story but then it definitely through in a bit of twist. I was a little unsure how I felt about it at first because the characters seemed a little flat but the story started to unfold and there was real character depth given. Honestly I felt really connected to a lot of the feelings Dakota had through her post divorce journey. There’s a story is healing disguised in this fun romantic comedy

3.5⭐️

ARC REVIEW
A fun spicy read with all the best tropes!
Cat dad, Calder is known for one night stands. He screams non commitment. Recent divorcee Dakota tries out a sex club where she runs into Calder. They agree to a benefit situation where he helps her become more confident in the bedroom. Sparks fly and one thing leads to more.

I couldn't put this down! The characters were relatable and the connection was intense. The banter is spot on, very hot! I can't wait for the next book!

I thought this book was alright. The premise was fun, and I liked the enemies-to-lovers dynamic, but I struggled with the writing style—it just didn’t fully work for me. Some of the humor felt a bit over-the-top, and the narrative voice wasn’t quite my preference. That said, I did enjoy the tension between the main characters, and their back-and-forth kept things entertaining. There were moments that made me smile, and I appreciated the lighthearted approach to romance. I just found myself wishing for a little more depth in certain areas.

Overall, while this book wasn’t my favorite, I can see how others might enjoy its humor, chemistry, and banter-filled romance.

"If you’re intent on a label, you can call us enemies with benefits."

Synopsis
When grumpy mountain man Calder needs a no-strings date to his brother’s tropical destination wedding, the last person he expects to end up sharing a room with is Dakota—his sister-in-law’s fiery best friend and sworn nemesis. But when a heated moment in paradise blurs the line between enemies and something much steamier, what was supposed to stay on vacation refuses to be left behind. Now back in his small mountain town, Calder is stunned when newly divorced Dakota shows up asking for his help to get her confidence back. Their hilarious, fiery dynamic starts to shift into something deeper—but with meddling family, unexpected feelings, and plenty of unresolved tension, Calder and Dakota must decide if their vacation fling has what it takes to turn into forever.

Enemies-to-lovers? Forced proximity? A meddling family and a mountain man with a soft side? Sign. Me. Up.

This book was an absolute delight from start to finish. From the moment Calder and Dakota are forced to share a room at a tropical destination wedding, I was hooked. Their banter is sharp, their chemistry sizzles, and their emotional growth is surprisingly heartfelt. Calder is the quintessential grumpy, bearded, emotionally repressed cat dad you can’t help but fall for—and Dakota? She’s the kind of fiery, vulnerable, hilarious heroine you want to be best friends with.

The setup delivers everything you’d want: a one-bed trope, forced proximity in paradise, and the chaotic meddling of a family who means well but really should learn to mind their own business. But what elevates this book is what happens after the wedding. Once Dakota shows up in Calder’s small town, freshly divorced and looking to find herself again—with Calder as her reluctant wingman—the story hits a deeper emotional groove. Their relationship builds beautifully from animosity to support to a love neither of them expected. There’s humor, heart, and just the right amount of spice.

Also, a quick shoutout to the side characters (and the quirky pets)—they’re the perfect complement to this romance, adding depth without overshadowing the central love story.

By the end, I was cheering for Calder and Dakota—not just as a couple, but as two fully fleshed-out characters reclaiming themselves after heartbreak.

Note: This is the second book in the series, but I had no trouble jumping in. While there were probably a few subtle references I missed, it reads perfectly well as a standalone—and I appreciated that immensely.

TLDR
A swoony, laugh-out-loud, enemies-to-lovers romance with heart, heat, and a bearded mountain man you’ll want to hug (and maybe yell at a little). Come for the forced proximity and sizzling banter—stay for the emotional payoff. Fans of small-town chaos and second chances will eat this up.

I loved the “Seven Year Itch!” It was a funny enemies to lovers with banters and the main characters have a not so great history with each other. The story was fun to follow throughout and I wanted to keep reading more. Perfect for any readers that love a novel set in Colorado, enemies to lovers and a lot of spice.

From the first couple of pages, this book had me laughing as I read the male main character's online dating profile. Chaos ensues, and the story flows at an entertaining pace. I love weddings and family relationships, so this new title had both, and Daws executed the romcom. Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC.

Calder is the cat dad with the most who loves to make amazing wood furniture. Dakota is looking to get her groove back after her divorce. Daws's sense of humor is all over this book, with several laugh-out-loud moments. Birds, cat walks, and tie dye. Calder and Dakota were enemies who needed to see the other side to fall in love, the journey was filled with emotion and self-reflection. The Fletcher Family is in full force with their big personalities, embracing Dakota as one of their own. It's definitely one of Daws's more steamier books.

Thank you for NetGalley and Harlequin Trade Publishing for giving me a copy of this book. This is a super fun easy to read, enemy to lovers with best supporting cat story. I definitely laughed a lot, the antics and spice and way high here, and the banter is also super fun. If you’re looking for a palette cleanser between heavy reads, look no further – this is perfect and will lift your spirits as much as any rom-com.
